IB Home Tutor in Dubai Investments Park

Most parents searching for an IB home tutor in Dubai Investments Park are asking one question underneath the words: is there anybody out here who actually knows this syllabus? This page answers it honestly rather than optimistically. Local specialist supply in DIP is genuinely thin, which is exactly why IB Gram delivers lessons live online, one to one, on Gulf Standard Time, and names what we can and cannot cover.

  • Coverage and fallback stated openly, subject by subject
  • Matched on Diploma subject and level, never on driving distance
  • Live online one-to-one sessions on Gulf Standard Time
  • No tutor is sent to any address in the UAE

IB & IGCSE in Dubai Investments Park

The honest answer to is there anyone out here who knows this syllabus

Dubai Investments Park is a large mixed-use district in the south of the city, split between DIP 1 and DIP 2, with industrial plots, warehousing and commercial space alongside residential communities including Green Community and Ritaj. It sits off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road, near Al Furjan, Discovery Gardens, Jebel Ali and Dubai South, and it has its own Metro station on the line out towards Expo City.

So when a parent here searches for an IB home tutor and the question underneath is whether anyone nearby actually knows the Diploma, the honest answer is: for general support, probably yes, and for a specific Higher Level subject at a specific hour, probably not. That is not a slight on the district. It is arithmetic. The residential population of DIP is smaller than its footprint suggests, and the subset of that population who are qualified Diploma subject teachers, free at five o'clock and holding the MoHRE private tuition work permit required of individuals offering private lessons, is very small indeed.

Narrow the request and it gets smaller. Higher Level Chemistry with real internal assessment experience. Mathematics Analysis and Approaches at Higher Level with Paper 3 practice. Physics with uncertainty and graph technique. Each of those is a genuinely scarce specialism anywhere in Dubai, and in a southern district with limited residential density it can be unavailable on the exact evening a family needs it.

This is the argument for online delivery, and it is a practical argument rather than a marketing one. IB Gram delivers one-to-one Diploma tuition into DIP homes as live online video sessions, scheduled in Gulf Standard Time. We do not send tutors to homes anywhere in the UAE; in-person home visits are a service we run only in India. What that buys a family in Dubai Investments Park is the whole specialist pool rather than the slice of it that can reach a villa in Green Community at half past five.

Two practical facts about the district shape the scheduling. School runs from here go to the DIP schools, to Jebel Ali, to Al Furjan or out towards Dubai South, which means a weekday session realistically starts between 5pm and 5.30pm, and later where the run is long. And several of the schools in the wider southern corridor are recent, so families here supplement more often at senior level than families in older districts do.

The rest of this page is built on that premise and tries to earn it. There is a table setting out why DIP is a structurally hard district for in-home specialist supply, one defining what specialist actually means subject by subject, one disclosing our own coverage and fallback position, and one showing what the Dubai market charges in AED with every figure attributed. Then the regulator, the honesty boundary and how to start.

At a glance

  • DIP 1 and DIP 2 mix industrial and commercial plots with residential enclaves
  • Served by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Emirates Road and its own Metro station
  • Dubai private schools are inspected by KHDA on a six-band scale from Outstanding to Very Weak
  • Market rates for a qualified online subject tutor in Dubai run roughly AED 150 to 300 per hour
  • UAE IB schools sit the May session; confirm any date with the school's IB coordinator
  • A free trial lesson comes before any paid block, and is diagnostic in purpose
IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to UAE school years

IB provision in and around Dubai Investments Park runs across the continuum, with two IB schools inside the district itself. Each programme below is described by what it means for a family living out here.

DPAges 16-19 · Years 12-13

Diploma Programme

Six subjects, three Higher Level and three Standard Level, plus Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity, Service. Grades run 1 to 7 for 42 points, with up to three further points from the TOK and Extended Essay matrix. Each subject also carries internally assessed work marked by the school and moderated by the IB.

Almost all DIP tutoring demand sits here, and the scarcity is concentrated in Higher Level sciences and Mathematics Analysis and Approaches. A family in this district asking for Higher Level Physics at 5pm on a Tuesday is asking for the hardest thing in the Dubai market, which is precisely why the delivery model matters.

MYPAges 11-16 · Years 7-11

Middle Years Programme

Eight subject groups assessed against four criteria each, marked out of eight and converted to a 1 to 7 grade. MYP 5 includes the Personal Project, developed independently with a process journal. Families find the criterion language hardest, because fluent work can still sit mid-band if it never addressed what the criterion asked.

The two IB schools inside DIP run the continuum, so middle-years support here is mostly criterion translation rather than content teaching. It is also the cheapest point at which a family can intervene, and the one most often skipped because nothing external is yet at stake.

PYPAges 3-12 · FS1 to Year 6

Primary Years Programme

Inquiry-based with no external examinations, closing with the Exhibition in the final year. Reporting is against learner-profile attributes and approaches to learning rather than subject percentages, which reads very differently from the British and Indian curriculum reports many DIP families are used to.

Support at this stage is reading fluency and number sense rather than examination technique. The families who benefit most are those moving from a British or Indian primary into an IB middle school, where the reporting language changes overnight and nobody explains it.

CPAges 16-19 · Years 12-13

Career-related Programme

At least two Diploma Programme courses alongside a career-related study, a reflective project, service learning, personal and professional skills and language development. Offered by a small number of UAE schools rather than being widely available, and suited to a student wanting IB subject rigour with an applied qualification.

A DIP family on this route is usually travelling further for school than a Diploma family, which is a real consideration in a district this far south. The tutoring demand comes from the DP courses inside the programme, assessed exactly as in the full Diploma.

Subject coverage

IB and IGCSE subjects we tutor

These are the Diploma subjects DIP families ask for, described by what they assess and, where it matters, how scarce the specialism genuinely is in this market.

Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches

HL and SL

Proof, calculus and algebraic fluency, with Paper 3 at Higher Level worth 20 per cent and usually reached late. Most lost marks are notation and justification rather than method. The scarcest Diploma mathematics specialism in Dubai at peak hours.

Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation

HL and SL

Statistics, modelling and technology use, with fluent graphical display calculator work assumed. The characteristic failure is a correct calculation presented without the sentence of interpretation that answers the question asked.

Chemistry

HL and SL

Energetics, equilibrium and organic mechanisms carry the most Higher Level weight, with the internal investigation at 20 per cent. Students learn products and are examined on electron movement, which is a technique problem rather than a content one.

Physics

HL and SL

Uncertainty treatment, graph gradients with units and explanations that apply a named principle rather than describe a phenomenon. Higher Level adds longer reasoning chains, and the characteristic failure is an answer correct for two steps that then stops.

Biology

HL and SL

Command terms decide the grade more than recall does. An answer stating everything known about a topic scores less than one answering only what was asked. Statistical treatment is the weak point in most Higher Level investigations.

Economics

HL and SL

Diagram accuracy, correct labelling and evaluation that reaches a judgement. The internal assessment is three commentaries on published articles with strict word limits, and students lose marks by choosing an article that does not illustrate the intended concept.

English A: Language and Literature

HL and SL

Unseen analysis, a comparative essay on studied works and the Individual Oral linking a global issue to two texts. Weak responses summarise; strong ones analyse how meaning is constructed and sustain it across the whole answer.

Business Management

HL and SL

Tool application under time pressure and an internal assessment on a real organisation. Choosing a company the student cannot obtain usable evidence about is the commonest planning error and is discovered far too late to change.

Computer Science

HL and SL

Algorithmic thinking, the board's own pseudocode conventions and the internal assessment solution for an identified client. Higher Level adds abstract data structures. A genuinely narrow specialism, and one where availability should be checked early.

Theory of Knowledge and the Extended Essay

Core, all DP students

Together worth up to three points on the Diploma matrix. The Extended Essay is 4,000 words with required reflection sessions, and TOK is assessed by exhibition and prescribed-title essay. Both reward a narrow, arguable question.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around UAE school timetables

Three delivery patterns cover almost every DIP family. All are live one-to-one video sessions; none involves a tutor travelling to a UAE address.

Weekly one-to-one, same tutor, same slot

One or two sessions a week with the same specialist across a term. This is what works for a DP1 student who has just met Higher Level content, because each session starts where the last ended. In a district where local availability is thin, holding a fixed slot with a known specialist is worth more than it would be elsewhere.

  • Same tutor across the block, so context carries forward
  • Fixed weekly slot agreed around the southern-corridor school run
  • Written note after each session on ground covered
  • Most effective started in the first DP1 term

Internal assessment and Extended Essay process coaching

Milestone sessions built around one piece of internally assessed work. The tutor teaches the criteria by letter, interrogates the research question until it is measurable, and comments on the student's own drafts. Nothing is written for the student, because that would put the Diploma at risk.

  • Criterion-by-criterion feedback with the marks named
  • Research question narrowed until data can actually be collected
  • Checkpoints set against the school's deadlines
  • Every word submitted remains the student's own

Pre-session component block

Two sessions a week in a defined block before the May session or a mock window, built from timed past papers marked against command terms. Used when content is broadly known and marks are not arriving, which is the dominant DP2 pattern.

  • Diagnosis from marked scripts before any teaching begins
  • Timed papers weekly, marked to scheme wording
  • Error log by component and by command term
  • Ends at a stated review point rather than at term end

These are the kinds of Diploma specialists DIP families are matched with: teachers who work inside one subject at Higher and Standard Level, discuss an internal assessment by criterion letter, and can read a marked script and name the component costing marks rather than recommending general revision.

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Dubai Investments Park

01

Why Dubai Investments Park is a hard district for in-home specialists

This is not a criticism of the district and it is not an argument that DIP families are badly served. It is a structural observation with four parts, and understanding it saves a family weeks of calling people who cannot help.

First, land use. DIP is substantially industrial, commercial and warehousing, with residential enclaves inside a large footprint. That means the number of households in the district is low relative to its area, so the number of residents who happen to be qualified Diploma teachers is low in absolute terms, however willing they are.

Second, distance. DIP sits in the southern corridor off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road. A tutor living in Al Barsha or Jumeirah can reach several Dubai districts inside twenty minutes at five o'clock; DIP is not usually one of them. In-home tutors ration their evening slots by drive time, and distant districts lose that rationing.

Third, specificity. General tutoring supply is reasonable almost everywhere. Diploma Higher Level supply is not, because each subject at each level is a separate specialism. Fourth, timing: everyone wants the same early-evening hour, and a tutor who drives fits two or three sessions into an evening where a tutor who does not fits four or five. All four factors compound, and they compound hardest on exactly the requests DIP families most often make.

There is a fifth factor that is rarely mentioned and worth knowing. The apparent local supply in any district includes staff at the schools in it, and that supply is not always available to you: in Abu Dhabi, ADEK's professional ethics rules bar school staff from paid private tutoring of students enrolled at their own school, and the MoHRE permit carries a comparable code of conduct. So proximity can look like availability while being neither available nor appropriate.

02

What specialist actually means, subject by subject

Parents use the word specialist and providers agree to it, and the two sides frequently mean different things. So here is a definition that can be tested: a specialist in a Diploma subject is someone who has taught that subject at that level, knows its internal assessment criteria by letter, and can read a marked script from it and name the failing component rather than recommending general revision.

By that definition the market is much thinner than it appears. A tutor who covers all three sciences at Standard Level is a useful generalist and is not a Higher Level Chemistry specialist. A mathematics tutor who has not taught Paper 3 cannot prepare a student for 20 per cent of a Higher Level mathematics grade. Neither is a criticism; it is a mismatch, and it is the family's job to detect it because nobody else will.

Three questions detect it quickly, and they take one phone call. Which level have you taught this subject at, and for how many cohorts? What does criterion D ask for in this subject's internal assessment? And if I send you two marked scripts, can you tell me which component is losing marks before the first session? A specialist answers all three without hesitating, and the third answer is the one that matters.

The table below sets out what each common request actually requires and how scarce it is in this market. Scarcity is not a reason to despair; it is a reason to book earlier than feels necessary and to ask for coverage to be confirmed before a plan is built around it.

WHAT EACH REQUEST REQUIRES, AND HOW SCARCE IT IS

Our coverage, and what happens when we cannot help

No competitor page in the research behind these pages discloses a coverage limit. That is implausible, because every service has one, and the omission is what makes families distrust the whole category. So here is ours, stated before you spend anything.

For the mainstream Diploma subjects at both levels, coverage is generally reliable and a match can usually be arranged within a few days. For the narrowest specialisms, and for any subject in the weeks immediately before the May session, early-evening slots are genuinely constrained, because a large share of Dubai's DP2 cohort wants the same hour. Higher Level Physics is the hardest, with Higher Level Chemistry and Mathematics Analysis and Approaches close behind.

When we cannot cover a request you will be told, given the nearest workable alternative, and given a realistic view of when the slot you wanted is likely to open. What you will not get is a generalist quietly presented as the specialist you asked for, which is the standard failure in this market and the reason so many families conclude that tutoring does not work.

There is one more disclosure worth making. Where a UAE-based tutor is not available for a subject, the match may be a specialist teaching from outside the UAE on Gulf Standard Time. That is stated rather than concealed, and it is the honest version of what several providers hide behind a non-UAE phone number. The test remains the same: has this person taught this subject at this level, and can they name the failing component from a script?

What the travel premium buys, in AED

For a family in a southern district the price question has a specific shape, because the in-home option is both more expensive and harder to arrange out here than it would be in Jumeirah. It is worth seeing the numbers side by side.

The market, attributed and dated October 2026. In-home one-to-one visits in Dubai run roughly AED 180 to 500 per hour with travel built in, according to Bestimate's 2026 Dubai tutoring cost table, against roughly AED 150 to 300 for a qualified subject tutor online. IB, IGCSE and A Level specialists run AED 200 to 450 and above, with TutorChase at AED 270 and BartyED at AED 650 at the premium end. Budget online provision starts at Tutopiya from AED 33 to 52 and EdFlik from AED 45 to 65. None of these is an IB Gram price list; ours is set after the free trial and the consultation.

What the premium buys is a person in the room and a car on Emirates Road at the busiest hour of the day. What it costs, beyond the dirhams, is choice: the pool shrinks to those willing to make that drive, which in DIP is a short list that gets shorter for every Higher Level subject you name. Monthly packages in this market include AED 799 for eight online sessions and AED 1,599 to 1,799 for four two-hour in-home visits, which gives the comparison in the unit households actually budget in.

For wider context, KHDA confirmed in May 2026 that there would be no increase in Dubai private school fees for the 2026-27 academic year, under the emirate's second economic incentives package. Tutoring is the variable line in an education budget, which is the argument for a defined block with a review date rather than an open arrangement.

KHDA, the inspection bands and what a newer school's report means

  • KHDA inspects annually on a six-band scale from Outstanding to Very Weak
  • A newer school's inspection report says more than its band does
  • A band is a whole-school judgement, not a subject-level one
  • Moderate Diploma cohorts feel a single staffing change immediately
  • Subject-level evidence beats the headline band for every tutoring decision

Every school a DIP child attends is regulated by KHDA, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, which u.ae describes as responsible for enhancing and overseeing the quality of private education in the emirate. KHDA inspects annually and publishes a band from Outstanding down to Very Weak.

In the southern corridor one extra consideration applies. Several schools around Dubai South and Expo City are recent, and a new school in an early inspection cycle is a different proposition from an established school in the same band. Dubai's 2026-27 intake adds seven new private schools, four British curriculum and three International Baccalaureate, creating 16,846 new places, after six opened during 2025-26 with enrolment rising 6 per cent. Read the inspection report rather than the headline band, because the report usually says where a young school is in its development.

The band is also a whole-school judgement, which means it tells you very little about the one thing that matters if your child sits Higher Level Chemistry: whether Higher Level Chemistry is being taught well this year. A moderate Diploma cohort, which is what most DIP-area schools have, can be affected immediately by a single mid-year staffing change, and that is nobody's fault and still needs covering.

For scale, the Dubai private sector in 2024-25 held 387,441 students across 227 private schools offering 17 curricula, with 7 per cent of students on an IB programme. Useful background, and no substitute for the subject-level evidence: which paper the marks are falling on, how the internal assessment draft scores against the criteria, and whether the gap is content or technique.

06

What a tutor may and may not do with coursework

  • Permitted: teaching criteria, interrogating a design, feedback the student can defend
  • Not permitted: writing, rewriting, completing or supplying any assessed work
  • Not permitted: redistributing board papers, mark schemes or subject guides
  • The school's academic honesty policy governs the consequences

One operator researched for these pages sells completed Internal Assessments at AED 3,750. The price is worth naming because it tells you what the market looks like to a stressed DP2 student: the product exists, it is advertised, and it is findable in a minute. Buying one is an academic honesty breach that can cost the entire Diploma, and the consequence falls on the student.

IB Gram does not write, complete, edit to completion or supply coursework of any kind, and no tutor working through us is permitted to. What a tutor does instead is teach the assessment: explaining each criterion in the IB's own terms, pressing on a research question until it can generate usable data, reading the student's own draft and saying which criterion it fails and why, and teaching whatever skill the draft reveals is missing.

The practical test for a family is simple. After a session, could your child explain and defend every change to their own work, in their own words? If yes, that was teaching. If no, the line has been crossed, and the school's academic honesty policy is the document that will decide the outcome.

A second boundary concerns materials. We do not publish, reproduce or offer IB, Cambridge or Pearson syllabus documents, past papers, mark schemes or grade boundary tables as downloads, because that material is the boards' copyright and unreleased content carries a malpractice exposure. We cite the official source, link to it, and work from what your child's school legitimately provides.

07

The calendar a DIP household has to hold

  • UAE IB schools sit the May session; internal deadlines are set by the school
  • Cambridge IGCSE runs June and November for a UAE candidate; February and March is India-only
  • Pearson Edexcel International GCSE runs May and June, and November
  • Pearson's June 2026 results reached centres on 19 August 2026
  • Cambridge zone timetables matter; use the school's own version

Many families in this district have children on two different systems at once, because the southern corridor mixes IB and British-curriculum schools and siblings are often split between them. That makes the household calendar more complicated than a single school's, and it is worth drawing once rather than rediscovering each term.

On the IB side, UAE schools sit the May session. Everything decisive before it is set by the school rather than by the IB: internal assessment deadlines, Extended Essay reflection sessions, the Theory of Knowledge exhibition, the mock window. IB session and results dates are not independently verified in this project, because ibo.org blocks automated access, so take any specific date from your child's IB coordinator rather than from a tutoring page.

On the Cambridge and Pearson side the position is published and clearer. Cambridge International runs IGCSE in a June series and a November series, with the February and March series offered to India only, so a Dubai candidate sits June with November as the resit route. Pearson Edexcel International GCSE runs in May and June and again in November. Both publish provisional timetables ahead of a series and revise them, so the official live document is the one to plan from.

Two checkable reference points, useful because they are the kind of thing a parent can verify: Pearson's June 2026 results reached centres on 19 August 2026 and students on 20 August 2026, and the November 2025 results reached students on 22 January 2026. Cambridge also allocates every centre to one of six administrative zones and states that it is essential to use the correct version of the timetable for your zone, because it cannot accept responsibility for candidates who miss an examination after using the wrong one.

08

Starting from Dubai Investments Park

  • Send subject, level, school and the last two marked pieces of work
  • Free trial lesson, diagnostic before it is commercial
  • Book narrow specialisms earlier than feels necessary in this district
  • No grade promises, no claimed approvals, no UAE office

The sequence is short. Send the subject, the level, the school and the last two marked pieces of work, whether a paper or an internal assessment draft. A specialist reading those can usually name the failing component in one sentence, and the free trial lesson exists to produce that before any payment.

Then the part this page has been building towards. Because specialist supply is genuinely constrained for the narrowest requests, booking earlier than feels necessary is worth real money out here. If you know a block is coming after mocks, agreeing the pattern now costs nothing and secures the slot. If we cannot cover the request, you will be told with a date rather than offered a substitute.

What will not be claimed. No grade promise, because nobody can honestly make one. No suggestion that tutoring is required for Ministry of Education equivalency, university admission or school progression, because that would be a false claim about a regulatory process. No regulator or board approval: IB Gram holds no permit, accreditation, licence or partnership from KHDA, ADEK, SPEA, the Ministry of Education, the IB, Cambridge or Pearson, and operates no UAE office, centre or branch. No satisfaction statistics, because a figure without its sample, date and method is decoration.

One last fact worth carrying into any conversation with any provider in this market. Individuals providing private tuition in the UAE need the MoHRE private tuition work permit introduced by Ministerial Resolution No. 710 of 2023; it is granted free of charge for two years, eligible applicants include registered school teachers, government and private sector employees, unemployed individuals, university students and school students aged 15 to 18, and those operating without one are subject to fines and penalties under the applicable laws. No fine schedule is published, so no amount appears here.

Where we tutor

Dubai Investments Park and the communities around it

These are the districts DIP families live among and travel between. Each note gives the practical detail that affects a tutoring plan rather than a general description.

Dubai Investments Park 1 and 2

Industrial and commercial plots alongside residential enclaves including Green Community and Ritaj. The residential population is far smaller than the district footprint, which is the single most important fact about local tutor supply here.

Green Community

An established low-rise residential enclave within DIP, with villas, townhouses and apartments. School runs go to the DIP schools, to Jebel Ali or further, so a weekday session realistically starts between 5pm and 5.30pm.

Al Furjan

A villa and townhouse community to the north, with its own Metro station and a British-curriculum school inside it. Families here often compare a DIP school against an Al Furjan one, and the commute is the deciding factor.

Discovery Gardens

Dense apartment living with children bussed out to schools in Jebel Ali, DIP and Al Barsha. Long runs in both directions push the practical weekday start towards 6pm.

Jebel Ali

The industrial and port district to the west, with long-established British-curriculum schools serving the whole southern corridor. Many DIP children travel here, which shapes the afternoon timetable.

Dubai South and Emaar South

The newest part of the corridor, around Expo City and Al Maktoum International. Schools here are recent, often in early inspection cycles, and families frequently supplement with outside support for senior subjects.

Dubai Production City

A mixed media and residential district to the north east of DIP, with apartment communities and short runs to schools in Motor City and Sports City.

The Sustainable City

A planned community on the Al Qudra side with an IB school inside it. One of the few places in the southern corridor where the school is genuinely walkable, which shows in how early families there can book sessions.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Dubai Investments Park

Dubai Investments Park and Green Community

Two IB schools and a British-curriculum school sit inside the district, which is better provision than the industrial land use suggests. Their Diploma cohorts are moderate in size, so a single staffing change in a Higher Level subject is felt immediately.

  • Greenfield International School
  • Nibras International School
  • Dove Green Private School
  • The International School of Choueifat, Dubai Investments Park

The southern corridor: Jebel Ali, Al Furjan and Dubai South

The wider cluster DIP children travel to, mixing long-established British schools with newer provision around Expo City. Entry deadlines and mock windows differ across these schools, so a neighbour's advice is often aimed at the wrong month.

How matching works

From first enquiry to a tutor who fits

  1. 01

Name the subject and the level precisely

Higher Level Chemistry and Standard Level Chemistry are different requests with different availability, and so are the two mathematics routes. The more precisely the request is stated, the faster an honest answer about coverage can be given.

  2. 02

Send marked work, not a grade

A grade reports a problem; a marked script or a returned internal assessment draft locates it. Photographs are fine, and a specialist reading two of them can usually say whether the issue is content, technique, timing or design before any session happens.

  3. 03

    Get an honest coverage answer

Before a plan is built, you should know whether the specialism is reliably available in your preferred slot, constrained, or unavailable with a date. In a southern district this answer matters more than anywhere else in Dubai, and it comes before any payment.

  4. 04

Free trial lesson as a diagnosis

One live session before any money changes hands. By the end you should have the failing component named in a sentence and an honest estimate of the block length, including when that estimate is shorter than you expected to buy.

  5. 05

Review at the next real checkpoint

The block is reviewed against the next school assessment, mock or internal assessment deadline. If the component is fixed, stopping is the right recommendation and will be made rather than avoided.

Why families choose us

What UAE parents tell us matters most

An honest answer about local supply

DIP is a structurally hard district for in-home Diploma specialists: industrial land use, low residential density, southern-corridor distance and peak-hour rationing all compound. Saying so is more useful than pretending the map is full of Higher Level Physics teachers.

Coverage disclosed before you spend

Which subjects are reliably covered, which are constrained before the May session, and what happens when the answer is no. No competitor page in this research set discloses a coverage limit, which cannot be true of any operating service.

A testable definition of specialist

Someone who has taught the subject at that level, knows the internal assessment criteria by letter, and can name the failing component from a marked script. Three questions on one phone call establish whether a provider meets it.

Delivery stated, never implied

Lessons are live online into DIP homes, and no tutor is sent to a UAE address; home visits are an India-only service. Where a tutor is based outside the UAE, that is stated rather than hidden behind a phone number.

Every AED figure attributed

Rates named with the provider who published them and dated October 2026, including monthly packages, so a family can judge any quote. Three of six researched competitors publish no price at all and two quote in US dollars.

Clear coursework and copyright positions

No completed assessments at any price, in a market where one operator advertises them at AED 3,750. Board papers and subject guides cited and linked rather than redistributed, because they belong to the boards.

Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Dubai Investments Park: your questions answered

Is there actually an IB tutor near Dubai Investments Park who knows the Diploma?+

For general support, probably. For a specific Higher Level subject at a specific early-evening hour, local supply is genuinely thin, and we would rather say that than pretend otherwise. DIP is largely industrial and commercial land with residential enclaves, so resident numbers are low relative to the district's size, and qualified Diploma subject teachers who are also free at 5pm and hold the MoHRE private tuition permit are few. Online delivery removes the constraint by removing the drive.

Will a tutor come to our home in Green Community or Ritaj?+

Not through IB Gram. We deliver one-to-one Diploma tuition into Dubai Investments Park homes as live online sessions on Gulf Standard Time, and we send no tutors to any UAE address; in-person home visits are a service we run only in India. Other Dubai providers do offer them at roughly AED 180 to 500 per hour with travel included, per Bestimate's 2026 rate table, though arranging one this far south at a peak hour is harder than the rates alone suggest.

How do I test whether a tutor is really a subject specialist?+

Three questions on one call. Which level have you taught this subject at, and for how many cohorts? What does a particular internal assessment criterion ask for in this subject? And if I send two marked scripts, can you name the component losing marks before the first session? A specialist answers all three without hesitation, and the third answer is the one that distinguishes teaching from general support. Hesitation on the second question is itself an answer.

Which schools do children in Dubai Investments Park attend?+

Several are inside the district itself, including two IB schools and a British-curriculum school, with the International School of Choueifat also in DIP. Beyond it, families travel to the wider southern corridor: long-established British schools in Jebel Ali, a British school in Al Furjan, an IB school in The Sustainable City and newer provision around Dubai South. All are regulated by KHDA. We name them as market context only; IB Gram has no relationship with any of them and none is a client.

What happens if you cannot find a tutor for our subject?+

You are told, given the nearest workable alternative and given a realistic date for when the slot you wanted is likely to open. Higher Level Physics is the hardest to cover at peak hours, with Higher Level Chemistry and Mathematics Analysis and Approaches close behind, and the constraint is sharpest in the weeks before the May session. What will not happen is a generalist being presented as the specialist you asked for, which is the standard failure mode in this market.

Could our tutor be based outside the UAE?+

Possibly, and if so it is stated rather than concealed. Where no UAE-based specialist is available for a subject, the match may be a teacher working from outside the country on Gulf Standard Time. Several providers hide this behind a non-UAE contact number, which is a trust failure rather than a delivery problem. The test that matters is unchanged: has this person taught this subject at this level, and can they name the failing component from a marked script?

Why is Higher Level Physics so hard to arrange?+

Because it is a narrow specialism competing for the narrowest window. Every DP2 household in Dubai wants the same early-evening hour, physics teachers who can also teach uncertainty technique and extended reasoning are a small group, and a tutor who drives fits fewer sessions into an evening than one who does not. The practical response is to agree the slot pattern before mocks rather than after results, which costs nothing and secures the time.

Is online tutoring a compromise for a family this far south?+

It is the opposite, which is the point of this page. In a dense district with schools inside it, online delivery is roughly equivalent to in-home. In Dubai Investments Park it is better, because it is the only way to reach the specialist your child actually needs rather than whoever is willing to drive out at five o'clock. The compromise is the in-home version, and the compromise is in the choice of teacher rather than in the format.

How early should we book before the May session?+

Earlier than feels necessary, and earlier here than in a central district. If you anticipate a block after mocks, agree the pattern now: it costs nothing, it secures the slot, and it means the plan can start on the week the mock results arrive rather than three weeks later. Narrow Higher Level specialisms at early-evening hours are the first thing to disappear, and the families who get them are the ones who asked before they needed them.

Our children are at an IB school and a British school. Can one plan cover both?+

The scheduling can be shared and the subject matching cannot. Each child is matched to a specialist in their own system, because Diploma internal assessment criteria and IGCSE paper structures are different things. What a single provider can do is sequence the sessions so one evening is not overloaded, keep one point of contact for the household, and help you draw the combined calendar once, which in the southern corridor is genuinely complicated because the two systems have different deadline rhythms.

Does living in a mostly industrial district affect what schools are nearby?+

Less than you would expect. Despite the industrial and warehousing land use, Dubai Investments Park contains two IB schools and a British-curriculum school within the district, which is better provision than the land use suggests. The wider southern corridor adds long-established British schools in Jebel Ali and newer schools around Dubai South and Expo City. What the land use does affect is resident tutor supply, which is the problem this page addresses.

Should we be worried that our school is new?+

Not worried, but read the inspection report rather than the band. Dubai's 2026-27 intake adds seven new private schools, four British curriculum and three International Baccalaureate, creating 16,846 new places, after six opened during 2025-26 with enrolment rising 6 per cent. A new school in an early inspection cycle is a different proposition from an established school in the same band, and KHDA's report usually says where a young school is in its development.

Can sessions work around a long school run and after-school activities?+

That is most of what scheduling in this corridor involves. Discovery Gardens and Dubai South runs are long in both directions, so a realistic weekday start is 5pm to 6pm depending on the school, and weekend mornings carry work that needs a longer unbroken session, such as internal assessment coaching. Because nothing depends on a tutor's drive time, the slot can be set by your household's actual day rather than by what a visiting tutor can reach.

What does a plan cost, and when does it stop?+

The market, dated October 2026: qualified online subject tutors run roughly AED 150 to 300 per hour, specialists AED 200 to 450 and above, with advertised monthly packages including AED 799 for eight online sessions. Ours is set after the free trial, because the length depends on what the marked work shows. Every block carries a stated review point against a real checkpoint, and if the component is fixed the recommendation is to stop rather than to continue a standing session.

Ask the coverage question first

If you live in Dubai Investments Park and you are wondering whether anyone out here really knows the Diploma syllabus your child is sitting, ask any provider the coverage question before you ask about price: can you cover this subject at this level in this slot, and if not, when? An honest answer tells you more than any amount of reassurance. Send us the subject, the level, the school and the last two marked pieces of work, and take the free trial lesson. Lessons run live online into your DIP home on Gulf Standard Time, from a specialist chosen for the component rather than for the drive.
