IB Tutor near me in Al Khawaneej

Typing IB tutor near me in Al Khawaneej into a search box is usually a question about money as much as distance: what is reasonable, what is too cheap to help, and what the difference actually buys. This page publishes the dirham bands with the provider behind each one, names the five places families here waste money, and sets tutoring against the school fees it sits beside. Lessons are one-to-one over live video on Gulf Standard Time.

IB & IGCSE in Al Khawaneej

What families around here actually pay, and what they get for it

Nobody searching for a tutor near Al Khawaneej is only asking about geography. Underneath the search there are three money questions. Is this going to cost two hundred dirhams an hour or six hundred. Is the cheap option a bargain or a waste. And how do I tell, before paying for three months, whether this particular hour is worth it. Those are reasonable questions and this market answers them badly: of six competitor pages examined for this project, three publish no price at all, and two of the three that do quote in US dollars, which is not the currency a Dubai family pays in.

So here is the position, published. Dubai tutoring rates span from around AED 33 an hour at the budget online end to AED 650 for premium named teaching, and almost every point in that range is occupied by somebody. The span is not a quality ladder with a single rung for each price. It is several different products: company while homework gets done, a qualified teacher who knows the course, a specialist who can diagnose a component, and a scarce named individual booked for a final stretch. A family that buys the wrong product at the right price has still wasted the money.

The second thing worth saying early is that the commonest waste in this catchment is not overpaying per hour. It is buying hours the week cannot absorb. An Al Khawaneej Diploma student travels out of the community to school, arrives home late and has perhaps ninety usable minutes on a weekday evening. A family that commits to three weekly sessions has bought something that will be attended twice and then quietly abandoned, and the money is gone whether the sessions happened or not.

The third is about what the in-home premium actually purchases. Published in-home rates run above online rates for teaching of comparable quality, and the market's own monthly packages make the gap explicit. The difference is a drive to the eastern edge of Dubai and back. IB Gram does not send tutors to homes anywhere in the UAE; in-home visiting is a service offered only in India. For UAE families the teaching happens one-to-one over live video on Gulf Standard Time, which puts the whole of the fee into the teaching rather than into travel.

What follows is the detail: the bands read from cheapest upwards, what each one is genuinely capable of, the five specific ways money leaks away in this catchment, tutoring costs set against the school fees they sit beside, the extras to ask about before paying, and the evidence to demand at four sessions before committing to a term. Read it even if you decide against us; the arithmetic works the same either way.

At a glance

  • Published Dubai rates span AED 33 to 650 an hour, with every point occupied
  • The bands are different products, not one product at different prices
  • The biggest waste is buying more hours than the week can absorb
  • The in-home premium pays for a drive, not for better teaching
  • Lessons are one-to-one over live video; no tutor visits a UAE address
IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to UAE school years

The price question has a different answer for each IB programme, because the scarcity of specialists differs. These are the three as Al Khawaneej families meet them.

DPAges 16-19 · Years 12-13

Diploma Programme

Six subjects at Higher or Standard Level plus three core elements. This is where the market's highest prices sit, because Higher Level specialists in the scarcer subjects are genuinely few and the stakes are university entry. It is also where the budget bands are least useful, since the gains come from component-level diagnosis rather than from company while working.

International Baccalaureate programmes held seven per cent of Dubai private-school enrolment in 2024-25, and Dubai's latest intake added three new International Baccalaureate schools among seven new private schools creating 16,846 places. Supply is rising faster than the specialist tutoring pool is.

MYPAges 11-16 · Years 7-11

Middle Years Programme

Five years assessed by summative tasks against four criteria rather than by terminal papers. Prices sit lower than Diploma rates because the specialist scarcity is less acute, and the budget and mid bands are more genuinely useful here, particularly for habit-building rather than content rescue.

For an Al Khawaneej family budgeting across two children, the sensible allocation is usually the specialist band for a Diploma candidate and the mid band for a Middle Years student, rather than an equal split that under-serves the one with the deadline.

PYPAges 3-12 · FS1 to Year 6

Primary Years Programme

Inquiry-led primary years with no terminal assessment. Support here is about numeracy, reading fluency and written explanation, and it is the one stage where the budget band represents honest value, because what a young child often needs is structured attention rather than subject expertise.

Primary provision sits closer to home in this part of Dubai than secondary provision, including a Dubai Schools campus at Al Khawaneej, so younger children finish earlier and are less tired. That makes short, frequent and inexpensive sessions genuinely workable at this stage.

Subject coverage

IB and IGCSE subjects we tutor

Prices vary by subject more than most families expect, and the reason is supply. These are the Diploma subjects Al Khawaneej families ask about, with a note on where each sits in the market.

Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches

HL and SL

The most requested Diploma subject in this catchment and therefore one of the better supplied. Higher Level still commands the specialist band, because the calculus and proof content thins the pool of people who can teach it confidently.

Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation

HL and SL

Better supplied than Analysis and Approaches at Standard Level, with rates nearer the qualified-tutor band. The statistics and modelling content is taught competently by a wider range of teachers, which shows up in the price.

Physics

HL and SL

Among the scarcest at Higher Level, with a typical school running one or two qualified staff. Expect the specialist band, and expect availability rather than price to be the binding constraint in some weeks.

Chemistry

HL and SL

Similar scarcity to Physics at Higher Level. The qualified band can cover Standard Level content well; the specialist band is what buys component-level diagnosis on calculation and organic reasoning.

Biology

HL and SL

Better supplied than the other two sciences. Much of the work is recall discipline and command-term precision, which a strong qualified tutor delivers effectively without specialist pricing.

Economics

HL and SL

Moderately supplied. Evaluation marks are the differentiator and they need a tutor who argues well in writing, which is a skill worth paying the qualified or specialist band for rather than the budget one.

Business Management

HL and SL

Reasonably supplied, with the internal assessment the main reason families seek help. Coaching on process and criteria is where the value sits; drafting support is not something any band should be buying.

English A: Language and Literature

HL and SL

Well supplied overall but variable in quality, because the subject looks approachable and is not. Oral assessment preparation is the most under-bought part of it and the cheapest to fix early.

Theory of Knowledge

Core

Thinly supplied, because few tutors teach it as their own subject. Where a family needs it, expect to pay for scarcity rather than for difficulty, and expect the work to be about argument structure.

Extended Essay

Core

Supervision sits with the school; external coaching covers scoping, planning and feedback on the student's own drafts. Short and early is far better value than long and late, and no band should be paying for writing.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around UAE school timetables

Three arrangements, chosen by what the money is for rather than by preference. All are delivered one-to-one over live video on Gulf Standard Time.

A diagnostic block

Four to six sessions bought deliberately as an investigation rather than as teaching. The aim is to find out precisely what is costing marks, produce a written list, and leave the family able to decide whether to continue, change subject or stop. It is the cheapest useful thing to buy first and almost nobody buys it.

  • Fixed number of sessions with a stated end point
  • Starts from marked scripts, not from the syllabus
  • Produces a written list of loss causes
  • Ends with a recommendation, including the option to stop

A weekly slot through the course

The standard arrangement, and the right one once the diagnosis exists. One subject, one tutor, one hour a week placed inside the measured evening window, with the plan reviewed against marked work monthly rather than continued on faith.

  • One subject at a time; adding subjects adds hours nobody has
  • Placed after arrival and a break, never straight off the bus
  • Reviewed against a marked piece of work every four sessions
  • Ends or changes when the evidence says it should

A short pre-exam block

An intensive run in the weeks before a session, scoped from mock scripts and finishing with the papers. This is where the specialist band earns its premium, because the work is triage and triage requires someone who can identify the highest-yield fixes quickly.

  • Built from marked mocks rather than from a revision guide
  • Targets the three dominant loss causes only
  • Fixed end date, agreed before the first session
  • No open-ended extension past the series

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Al Khawaneej

01

The dirham bands, read from the cheapest upwards

Reading a rate card from the top down makes everything look expensive. Reading it from the bottom up makes the question clearer, which is what each additional hundred dirhams actually buys. At the bottom sit Tutopiya, publishing online tuition from around AED 33 to 52 an hour, and EdFlik, from around AED 45 to 65. Both lean on university students, many of them studying out at Academic City. For a Middle Years student who needs structure and company while working, that is honest value and nobody should apologise for buying it.

The next step up is the largest in effect and not the largest in price. Unitors publishes from AED 150 an hour for IGCSE tuition and from AED 200 for IB, and TutorChase quotes around AED 270. What that step buys is somebody who knows the course and can mark a script against the scheme. The difference between being told an answer is wrong and being told which criterion the answer failed is the difference between an hour that feels useful and an hour that moves a mark.

Above that, Bestimate's Dubai rate table puts specialist IB, IGCSE and A Level tuition at roughly AED 200 to 450 and above, in-home visits at roughly AED 180 to 350, and BartyED publishes AED 650 for premium named teaching. Monthly packages in circulation run around AED 799 for eight online sessions and AED 1,599 to 1,799 for four two-hour in-home visits. Bestimate's own monthly estimates for weekly one-hour sessions are AED 240 to 600 at the budget end, AED 600 to 1,200 in the middle and AED 1,000 to 2,000 and above for specialist exam-year work. Every figure here is provider-published and was read in October 2026; none of them is an IB Gram price, and for our own arrangement the starting point is a free trial lesson and a consultation.

The five places the money actually leaks

  • Hours the week cannot absorb are wasted whether attended or not
  • Travel is priced at roughly double for the same teaching quantity
  • Ask for the student-to-tutor ratio in writing before paying
  • A diagnosis costs less than a month of misdirected teaching

Overpaying per hour is not the main way families in this catchment lose money on tutoring. There are five specific leaks, and all of them are avoidable with a decision taken before any payment rather than after three months of drift. Each one is worth more than the difference between two adjacent price bands.

The first is buying hours the week cannot absorb. Three weekly sessions for a student with a ninety-minute usable weekday window is a purchase of something that will be attended twice. The second is paying for travel rather than teaching, which the market itself prices at roughly double for the same quantity of hours. The third is a group class sold in language that sounds individual: ask for the ratio in writing, because a class of eight at a per-head rate is not one-to-one tuition however it is described. The fourth is starting too late, where the same money buys triage instead of repair. The fifth, and the most common, is buying teaching before buying a diagnosis, so that the first eight sessions address the wrong problem.

The fifth leak deserves emphasis because it is the cheapest to plug. A parent reports a subject; a marked script and one hour frequently show something narrower, such as algebra inside physics, or an inability to start a question unaided, or marks lost to command terms across every subject. Four to six sessions bought explicitly as an investigation, with a written list at the end, costs less than a month of weekly teaching aimed at the wrong target. Almost nobody buys it, and almost everybody should.

03

Tutoring set against the fees it sits beside

A tutoring figure quoted alone is hard to judge. Quoted next to the school fees a family already pays, it becomes a proportion, and proportions are easier to decide about. This is context no competitor page in the fees cluster provides, and it is the single most useful framing available to a parent weighing a decision in Dubai.

There is a specific reason this year's arithmetic is more favourable than usual. KHDA confirmed on 22 May 2026 that there would be no increase in school fees for private schools in the emirate for the 2026-27 academic year, under Dubai's second economic incentives package, valued at AED 1.5 billion within a AED 2.5 billion total. For a household that had budgeted an annual fee rise and did not get one, there is room in the education line that was not there last year. Dubai's private sector taught 387,441 students across 227 schools in 2024-25, so this is not a marginal policy.

The table puts the numbers side by side. The point of it is not to argue that tutoring is cheap; it is to make the comparison that families make in their heads explicit, and to show that the sensible question is not whether to spend but what the spending is for. One subject taught well by a specialist for a term is a different purchase from four subjects covered thinly for a year, and the second is usually the more expensive of the two.

What each band is genuinely capable of for a Diploma student

  • Budget band: structure and attention, genuinely useful for some problems
  • Qualified band: course knowledge and mark-scheme literacy, the common need
  • Specialist band: component diagnosis and exam-window triage
  • Premium band: scarcity, best bought as a short block

Price bands are products, and matching the product to the problem is where value is won or lost. The budget band buys attention and structure. For a student who can do the work but does not start it, that is exactly the right purchase, and paying four times as much would buy nothing extra. For a Higher Level candidate losing marks to a specific component, it buys an hour of encouragement.

The qualified band buys course knowledge and the ability to mark against a scheme. This is the right purchase for most Diploma students most of the time, and the band most often skipped by families who jump from the cheapest option straight to a specialist in a panic. A qualified tutor who knows the course will find a command-term problem or a rearrangement problem in one session, which is most of what a family actually needs.

The specialist band buys diagnosis at the component level and the ability to triage under time pressure. That is worth paying for in two situations: a scarce Higher Level subject where the content genuinely requires it, and the weeks before a session when the right three fixes have to be found quickly. The premium named band buys scarcity, and it makes sense as a short block rather than a course. Buying it for two years is buying a scarce commodity you do not need every week. Matching the band to the problem, rather than to the anxiety, is most of what good value looks like here.

05

The extras to ask about before anything is paid

  • Per hour or per session, and how many minutes is a session
  • Cancellation terms, notice required, and what a late bus means
  • Whether tax is included in the quoted figure
  • How a tutor change is handled, and how quickly

A quoted hourly rate is not the price. Four questions asked before payment prevent most of the disputes families report in this market, and all four should be answerable in writing without hesitation.

Is the figure per hour or per session, and how long is a session? A sixty-minute hour and a forty-five minute session at the same price differ by a quarter. What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy, including how much notice is required and what happens when a child is unwell or a bus is late? For a family with a long school run this is not a technicality; it determines whether the arrangement survives a difficult term. Does the quoted figure include value added tax, and if tax treatment is uncertain, is the figure quoted as inclusive or exclusive? A provider should be able to state what their own price includes without reference to anybody's interpretation of the law.

And what happens if the match is wrong? A provider who treats a tutor change as a complaint has the wrong model; it should be a routine request, handled in a week, because a mismatch identified early costs nothing and a mismatch tolerated for a term costs the term. One further point: the private tuition work permit in the UAE is issued free of charge for two years through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, so any line item described as a licensing or registration fee deserves a direct question about what it actually covers.

06

The evidence to demand at four sessions

Value in tutoring is not measurable at session one and it is measurable at session four, which is why four sessions is the right unit to buy and judge. What should exist by then is a marked piece of work showing movement on the specific thing that was targeted. Not a happier child, although that often happens too. A marked script with fewer marks lost to the named cause.

If the agreed target was command terms, there should be fewer explain questions answered descriptively. If it was unit discipline in physics, there should be fewer bare numbers. If it was mole conversions, there should be a calculation question set up correctly without prompting. The reason to agree the target in writing at session one is precisely so that this check is possible later, and the reason most families cannot perform it is that no target was ever named.

When the evidence is not there, the correct response is to change the method or the tutor, not to add hours. Adding hours to an arrangement that has not produced movement is the single most expensive decision available in this market, and it is the one providers are least likely to discourage. A provider who tells you to pause and reconsider at session four is worth more than one who tells you to double up, and that is a reasonable thing to say out loud on a page like this one. Say it to any provider you are considering and listen carefully to the answer.

07

Starting, and what we will tell you before you pay

Begin with a short consultation about the actual problem rather than the subject, and send two things: the most recent marked piece of work with the teacher's comments intact, and the measured time your child is genuinely able to work on a weekday. The second matters as much as the first, because a slot outside the real window is money spent on sessions nobody attends.

Then a free trial lesson, one-to-one over live video, before any commitment. Use it as a diagnostic: ask the tutor to work through the marked script and name where the marks went and what the first block will target. If the answer is specific, book four sessions and judge them on evidence. If the hour was spent describing an approach, you have learned something useful about the provider rather than about your child.

Two disclosures before money changes hands. There is no IB Gram rate card published on this page, because the honest answer depends on the subject, the level and the scarcity, and a figure invented for a page is worse than no figure; the consultation and the trial are where that conversation belongs. And specialist coverage has limits: in some weeks no UAE-based specialist in a scarce Higher Level subject holds an evening slot that fits an Al Khawaneej timetable. Where that is the case you will be told, and offered a specialist based elsewhere teaching over the same live video on Gulf Standard Time, rather than a general tutor presented as a specialist.

Where we tutor

What distance costs a family in this part of Dubai

Distance has a price in this market, and it is worth seeing where it falls. The notes below are about what each location does to a quoted rate or a start time.

Al Khawaneej 1 and 2

At the eastern edge, with large plots and long in-community pick-ups. A tutor quoting for a visit here is pricing a drive across most of the city and back, which is why quotes to this area sit at the upper end of the published in-home range.

Mirdif

The nearest school cluster, a short run west. Quotes for visits into Mirdif tend to come in lower than quotes out here, for travel reasons that have nothing to do with the teaching delivered.

Al Mizhar

Adjacent and effectively identical for pricing purposes. Families in both communities are quoted similarly and face the same late start times when an arrangement involves somebody driving.

Al Warqa

Closer to the city's centre of gravity, so travel surcharges soften slightly. The schools here are large, which means group tutoring is more available locally and more often mis-sold as individual attention.

Al Rashidiya

A genuinely shorter drive from older Dubai, and the one direction where a visiting tutor's travel time falls materially. Published rate bands still apply; what changes is willingness to accept an earlier slot.

Dubai International Academic City

Where much of the budget tutoring supply studies. A rate quoted at the bottom of the published range usually has an undergraduate behind it, which is honest value for some needs and not for a Higher Level candidate.

Dubai Silicon Oasis

A long evening run with heavy traffic towards Academic City. Relevant to cost because a tutor who has to cross it will either price it in or push the session later, and often both.

School ecosystem

Schools near Al Khawaneej

The larger schools further west and south

Bigger enrolments, and the places where locally advertised group classes cluster. A group class in this direction is often marketed in language that sounds individual, which is one of the five money leaks this page names. Verify the ratio in writing before paying.

  • GEMS Our Own English High School, Al Warqa

How matching works

From first enquiry to a tutor who fits

  1. 01

Count the hours before pricing anything

Usable weekday evenings, minus homework, gives the number of tutored hours the week can genuinely absorb. For most Al Khawaneej Diploma students that number is one. Buying three is the commonest and largest waste in this market, and it happens before any rate is negotiated.

  2. 02

    Buy a diagnosis first

Four to six sessions bought explicitly as an investigation, ending in a written list of loss causes and a recommendation that includes stopping. It costs less than a month of weekly teaching aimed at the wrong target, and almost nobody buys it.

  3. 03

    Agree the target in writing

Name the specific thing the block is meant to change: command terms, unit discipline, mole conversions, question starting. Without a named target at session one, there is no way to judge value at session four, which is how arrangements drift for a term.

  4. 04

    Ask the four extras questions

Per hour or per session and how many minutes. Cancellation and rescheduling terms. Whether tax is included. How a tutor change is handled and how fast. All four should be answerable in writing without hesitation before any payment.

  5. 05

Judge at four sessions on a marked script

Fewer marks lost to the named cause, on paper. If the evidence is absent, change the method or the tutor rather than adding hours, which is the most expensive response available and the one least likely to be discouraged.

Why families choose us

What UAE parents tell us matters most

Prices published with their sources

Every dirham figure on this page names the provider that published it and the month it was read. Three of six competitor pages reviewed publish no price at all, and two of those that do quote in US dollars rather than the currency a Dubai family pays in.

The waste named, not just the rates

Five specific leaks are set out, each worth more than the gap between two adjacent price bands. The largest of them, buying hours the week cannot absorb, happens before any rate is agreed and is therefore invisible on a rate card.

Compared against school fees

Tutoring is set beside the Dubai fees it shares a budget with, including KHDA's confirmation of no fee increase for 2026-27. No competitor page in the fees cluster provides that context, and it is the comparison families make in their heads anyway.

Diagnosis sold as diagnosis

A short investigative block with a written list at the end, and a recommendation that may be to stop. Providers rarely offer this because it can end in no sale, which is precisely why it is the best first purchase a family can make.

No fee for travel

Teaching is one-to-one over live video on Gulf Standard Time, so the whole of the fee goes into teaching. IB Gram does not send tutors to homes anywhere in the UAE; in-home visiting is a service offered only in India.

Availability disclosed before payment

Where no UAE-based specialist in a scarce Higher Level subject can fit your week, you are told and offered a specialist elsewhere on Gulf Standard Time. No competitor page reviewed for this project discloses a coverage limit at all.

Tutopiya advertises from AED 33 to 52 and EdFlik from AED 45 to 65; Unitors publishes from AED 200 an hour for IB tuition; TutorChase quotes around AED 270; Bestimate's rate table puts specialist tuition at roughly AED 200 to 450 and above; BartyED publishes AED 650. These are provider figures read in October 2026 rather than IB Gram prices, and the bands are different products rather than one product at several prices.

Is the cheapest tutoring band ever the right choice?+

Yes, for a specific problem. A student who can do the work but will not start it needs structure and attention, and the budget band of roughly AED 33 to 65 an hour supplies exactly that. Paying four times as much buys nothing extra in that situation. Where the budget band fails is a Higher Level candidate losing marks to a particular component, because the gains there require somebody who can mark a script against the scheme and name the criterion that failed, which is a different skill from having passed the course recently.

Where do families in this area waste the most tutoring money?+

Buying hours the week cannot absorb. An Al Khawaneej Diploma student travels out of the community to school and has roughly ninety usable minutes on a weekday evening, so a three-session weekly commitment will be attended twice before it quietly lapses, and the money is gone either way. The second largest leak is paying for travel instead of teaching, which the market itself prices at roughly double for the same number of hours. Both decisions are made before any rate is negotiated.

How much should we budget per month rather than per hour?+

Bestimate's own monthly estimates for weekly one-hour sessions are AED 240 to 600 at the budget end, AED 600 to 1,200 in the middle and AED 1,000 to 2,000 and above for specialist exam-year support. Published packages run around AED 799 a month for eight online sessions and AED 1,599 to 1,799 for four two-hour in-home visits. Monthly figures are the ones worth planning with, because they expose immediately whether a proposed arrangement fits beside the school fees already being paid.

Does the no-fee-increase announcement affect tutoring decisions?+

Indirectly, and usefully. KHDA confirmed on 22 May 2026 that private school fees in Dubai would not rise for the 2026-27 academic year, under the emirate's second economic incentives package valued at AED 1.5 billion within a AED 2.5 billion total. A household that had budgeted an annual fee rise and did not get one has room in the education line that was not there previously. That makes it a better year than most to spend deliberately on one subject taught well rather than thinly across several.

How do I tell whether a group class is being sold as individual tuition?+

Ask for the student-to-tutor ratio in writing, before paying. A class of eight at an attractive per-head rate is not one-to-one tuition however the advertising is worded, and the distinction matters because diagnosis is what individual tuition buys. In a group, your child's particular reason for a wrong answer will not be found. Group teaching has an honest use, which is covering content efficiently before a test. It is not a substitute for finding out why one student keeps losing the same marks.

What questions should I ask before paying a tutoring provider?+

Four. Is the figure per hour or per session, and how long is a session. What are the cancellation and rescheduling terms, including what happens when a child is unwell or a school bus is late. Does the quoted price include tax, stated as inclusive or exclusive. And how is a tutor change handled, and how quickly. All four should be answerable in writing without hesitation. Note also that the UAE private tuition permit is issued free of charge, so any licensing line item deserves a direct question.

How soon should I expect to see value for the money spent?+

By the fourth session there should be a marked piece of work showing fewer marks lost to the specific cause that was targeted. That is why the target has to be named in writing at session one: without it, no judgement is possible later and the arrangement drifts for a term on goodwill. A happier child is welcome but is not the evidence. If the marked work has not moved, the right response is changing the method or the tutor, not adding hours.

Is it worth paying premium rates for a named or examiner-led tutor?+

As a short block, sometimes. The premium band, published at AED 500 to 650 and above, buys scarcity rather than a different kind of teaching, and scarcity is worth paying for in the weeks before a session when the right three fixes must be identified quickly. Buying it as a two-year arrangement is paying for a scarce commodity you do not need weekly. Be cautious of examiner claims generally: current examiner status is difficult to evidence and should never be used to imply access to marking or boundaries.

Why does the price differ between IB subjects?+

Supply. Higher Level Physics, Chemistry and Theory of Knowledge are taught by few people in any one school, so the pool of tutors who can teach them confidently is small and the price reflects scarcity rather than difficulty. Mathematics at Standard Level and Biology are better supplied and sit nearer the qualified band. The practical consequence is that for scarce subjects availability, not price, is often the binding constraint, and that is worth knowing before a search starts.

Can we start cheap and move up if it is not working?+

You can, and many families do, but the sequence costs more than it looks. Three months at the budget band that does not move a Higher Level grade is three months of a two-year course spent, and the replacement purchase is then made under time pressure at specialist rates. The cheaper route is a short diagnostic block first, at the qualified band, which identifies what the problem actually is and therefore which band the problem needs. That decision costs less than a month of misdirected teaching.

What does the in-home premium actually buy in this part of Dubai?+

Presence in the room and an hour of a tutor's driving. Published in-home rates of roughly AED 180 to 500 an hour sit above the AED 150 to 300 published for qualified tutors teaching online, and the monthly packages make the gap explicit: eight hours priced at AED 1,599 to 1,799 against around AED 799. What the premium does not buy is a wider choice of teacher, since the pool narrows to those willing to drive to the eastern edge of the city on a weekday evening.

Should an Al Khawaneej family commit to a term or to four sessions?+

Four, with a named target and an agreed review. Four is long enough for a diagnosis to turn into visible movement on a marked script and short enough that a wrong choice costs little. Term-long commitments made at the outset remove exactly the decision point that protects a family's money, which is the moment at session four where the evidence either exists or does not. A provider comfortable with a four-session commitment is telling you something reassuring.

Does IB Gram publish its own hourly rate?+

Not on this page, and the reason is that an honest figure depends on the subject, the level and how scarce the specialist is, so a single number invented for a web page would be less useful than no number. The published bands above are the market, with each provider named, so a family can see the shape of it before any conversation. For IB Gram's own arrangement the starting point is a consultation and a free trial lesson, and the figure is discussed there against the specific subject and level.

Spend on the diagnosis, then on the teaching

The useful question near Al Khawaneej is not what an hour costs but what that hour can change. Count the usable evenings before buying any, because hours the week cannot absorb are wasted whether attended or not. Buy a short diagnostic block, name the target in writing, and judge it at four sessions against a marked script rather than a feeling. The published bands on this page name every provider behind every figure, so the comparison works even if you choose somebody else. Teaching is one-to-one over live video on Gulf Standard Time, with no travel inside the fee.
