Mocks exist to put a student through full papers under time before it counts, and to give teachers evidence. A drop against school report grades is the usual first outcome, because most students have never sat a whole paper in one sitting until then. What matters is the pattern inside the scripts. It is also reasonable to plan a lighter fortnight around mocks deliberately, with two short online check-ins instead of two full home sessions, so nothing has to be cancelled at all.
