IB and IGCSE Tutors and Private Tuition from Home in Zamania

Private tuition at home for Zamania students, delivered over video: a tutor who has taught your child's exact IB or IGCSE course sits at the other end of a laptop, one to one, while the UP Board or CBSE school carries on as before. Nobody travels to Zamania, because home visits run only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. Lessons keep to IST and give way to Chhath, the monsoon and the coldest foggy weeks.

  • Tutors are chosen for the course your child actually sits, whether IB Chemistry HL or Edexcel Mathematics A, not for a general label
  • The first lesson is free, and any rate is put in writing before you agree to anything
  • Each session ends with a short note in plain English that a parent can read in a minute
  • No tie to the IB, Cambridge, Pearson or any school mentioned on this page

IB & IGCSE in Zamania

Why Zamania families look at IB and IGCSE, and how the lessons work

Zamania is a Mughal-era town, founded in 1560 by Ali Quli Khan Zaman, one of Akbar's governors at Jaunpur, and today it is the headquarters of a tehsil of roughly 380 villages in Ghazipur district. About 33,000 people lived in the town at the 2011 Census. Ask here for IB and IGCSE tutors in Zamania and you are asking for something new: no school in the tehsil teaches either course, so the tuition has to travel by internet, not by road.

That is how the service works in practice. Your child stays at the school where they already study, usually a UP Board or CBSE school in Zamania or Ghazipur, and meets a specialist online for a live one-to-one lesson at a fixed weekly time. It is private tuition at home in the plainest sense: your own table, your own lamp, a laptop and a shared whiteboard. The tutor has taught the exact course before and knows where students from Hindi-medium backgrounds usually stumble.

Who asks? A good number of enquiries come from households with a link to the armed forces, in a district where Gahmar, a Ganga-side village east of Zamania, is nicknamed the Village of Soldiers. A posting can move a child between cantonments within a single year, and a syllabus that travels is worth having. Others have a relative working abroad, a parent in a central-government job or a plan to study in Varanasi, Delhi or overseas, and want stronger English, mathematics and science before they go.

Two plain statements. Tutors do not come to houses in Zamania; in-person home visits exist only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR, so every lesson here is online. And IB Gram is independent of the IB, Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel and any school named on this page. Tutors coach, explain and mark practice work, but they never write an Internal Assessment, Extended Essay, TOK essay or coursework for a student.

IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Zamania school years

Zamania parents rarely ask about the IB as a whole. They ask about one problem: a child preparing for a move, an online school's weakest subject, or an English-medium switch coming in Class 9. Each IB programme asks something different of a tutor, so here is how the four look from a Zamania kitchen table.

PYPNursery to Class 5, ages 3-12

IB Primary Years Programme

Young learners explore big ideas, such as how places change or why people migrate, and report on them instead of sitting exams. The final year closes with an Exhibition. At home, the useful work is reading for pleasure, simple number games and answering why in full sentences.

PYP enquiries from Zamania are uncommon and usually come from a service family whose child met the programme at a posting and needs those habits to survive a spell back home.

MYPClass 6-10, ages 11-16

IB Middle Years Programme

A five-year framework in which every subject is marked against stated criteria such as knowing, investigating and communicating, ending with the Personal Project. Hindi-medium students often find open-ended English writing harder than the mathematics.

Here MYP help usually serves a Class 8 or 9 student heading for an English-medium school in Varanasi or Lucknow, or one following an online MYP school while living in Zamania.

DPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Diploma Programme

Two years, six subjects, and a core of Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS. Higher Level maths and science run well beyond Class 12 board content, and Internal Assessments have to be planned months ahead.

Zamania has no Diploma school, so a DP student is enrolled online or boards elsewhere and brings us HL maths, physics and chemistry, usually with engineering or medicine in mind.

CPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Career-related Programme

A route for students who want a few Diploma subjects alongside a career-related study. Few Indian schools run it, and the Diploma subjects inside it still need teaching at full depth.

We see almost no CP requests from Zamania; when one arrives it comes with a child on a school-led course elsewhere who wants a single subject reinforced from home.

Subject coverage

IB subjects we tutor

A tutor is picked on syllabus, level and exam session before anything else. Maths Analysis and Approaches at HL and Applications and Interpretation at SL are separate courses, not two versions of one, and the same care applies across the list below.

IB Maths Analysis & Approaches

HL / SL

Algebra, functions and calculus built up to proof. Students from board backgrounds compute well but seldom justify a result in words, so that habit is where we start.

IB Maths Applications & Interpretation

HL / SL

Statistics, regression, probability and modelling with constant calculator use; a natural fit for future economists, managers and social scientists.

IB Physics

HL / SL

From mechanics to fields and nuclear ideas. The investigation rewards one clean, measurable question over an ambitious one that cannot be finished.

IB Chemistry

HL / SL

Moles and bonding first, then energetics, equilibrium and organic pathways; exact wording in explanations matters as much as the chemistry itself.

IB Biology

HL / SL

A long syllabus examined through long answers. We rehearse the command terms until describe, explain and compare stop being treated as one instruction.

IB Economics

HL / SL

Micro, macro and the global economy, each argued with a current example; HL adds quantitative questions on elasticity and indices.

IB Business Management

HL / SL

Case studies reward answers anchored in the named firm, and the internal piece needs one real organisation with genuine sources.

IB English A Language & Literature

HL / SL

Close reading of unseen texts, comparison of studied works and a live oral. Students from Hindi-medium schools gain most from wide reading before anything is marked.

IB History

HL / SL

Source evaluation and essays on twentieth-century topics. Aspirants to the civil services often choose it for the habit of building an argument from evidence.

IB Computer Science

HL / SL

Computational thinking, programming and networks, with an internal task marked on design decisions as well as on whether the code runs.

IB Psychology

HL / SL

Studies recalled with their findings and limits, and answers that argue instead of list.

IB Geography

HL / SL

Case studies with real depth, fieldwork a stranger could repeat and confident use of data. River, flood and farming themes sit close to home here.

IB Hindi A Literature and Hindi B

HL / SL

Hindi and Bhojpuri carry daily life across the district, so students often speak richly and write thinly; the commentary and oral are practised under time.

Theory of Knowledge (TOK)

DP Core

Talk before writing: knowledge questions argued aloud, then shaped into the exhibition and the essay a student will present.

IGCSE coverage

IGCSE subjects we tutor

In IGCSE the board code matters more than the label. Cambridge 0580 Extended Mathematics and Edexcel 4MA1 Higher cover similar ground in different voices, so we begin by finding out which paper your child will sit. Cambridge runs its main sessions in May-June and October-November; Edexcel adds January. A November entrant in Zamania works through the monsoon months, while a June entrant revises through the hottest weeks of the year.

IGCSE Mathematics 0580

Core / Extended

Showing method earns marks even when the answer slips, so working lines are drilled from the first lesson.

IGCSE Additional Mathematics 0606

Extension

Early calculus and trigonometric identities: the strongest preparation for Maths AA HL and a useful stretch for JEE-minded students.

Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics A 4MA1

Foundation / Higher

Similar content to Cambridge in a different voice; Higher-tier problem-solving questions are where the two boards diverge most.

IGCSE Physics 0625

Core / Extended

Equations are given and the skill is choosing and rearranging them quickly; the practical-skills paper is trained separately.

IGCSE Chemistry 0620

Core / Extended

Calculations from the mole, then organic and the periodic table; salt analysis and gas tests are learned best by repeating them.

IGCSE Biology 0610

Core / Extended

Genetics, ecology and human body systems, with long answers that reward a fixed structure.

IGCSE Combined Science 0653

Core / Extended

Three sciences compressed into one qualification, so the work is choosing which ideas to master first.

IGCSE Economics 0455

Grade 9-10

Diagrams are the easy marks; the evaluation questions late in the paper decide the grade.

IGCSE Computer Science 0478

Grade 9-10

Pseudocode and trace tables on new problems, with real coding time alongside the theory paper.

IGCSE English as a Second Language 0510

Grade 9-10

Reading, writing, listening and speaking each carry marks, and the spoken part is the one students from Hindi-medium schools underrate.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Zamania school timetables

A Zamania lesson is a live video call and nothing else; nobody visits your house. What varies is the job the lessons do: a regular weekly slot, a top-up beside a UP Board or CBSE timetable, or an intensive stretch before a fixed exam date.

Fixed weekly lesson

One slot a week with the same tutor, a shared whiteboard and a past paper on screen. This is the standard pattern for Diploma, MYP and IGCSE students, and it behaves the same from a Zamania study room as from a school in Delhi.

  • Same tutor and same hour every week
  • Solutions saved so a student can revise from them
  • Slot set around school hours and evening power cuts
  • A review with parents every few weeks

Subject top-up beside a UP Board or CBSE timetable

Many Zamania families want depth in two or three subjects while the child keeps the present school, either to prepare for a later switch or to follow an online qualification.

  • Suits a child planning a move to Varanasi, Lucknow or boarding
  • Topics matched to what the school teaches that month
  • Extra sessions before school tests when needed
  • Gaps found early through short diagnostic questions

Exam-season intensive

Several lessons a week in the last weeks before mocks or a May, June or November paper, with timed practice marked promptly against the current scheme.

  • Papers marked against the current mark scheme
  • Feedback within days, not weeks
  • Scheduled around Chhath, Diwali and Eid dates
  • Best booked two to three weeks before the series

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Zamania

01

IB and IGCSE schools and families around Zamania

  • No school in Ghazipur district was confirmed to teach IB or IGCSE
  • Varanasi and Lucknow hold the nearest relevant campuses
  • Army, government and overseas-linked families ask most often
  • Verify any school claim in the IB and Cambridge directories

Neither the IB nor Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE is taught at any school in Zamania, and we could not confirm either anywhere in Ghazipur district. Classrooms across the tehsil, from village primaries to inter colleges, follow the UP Board or CBSE. Anyone searching for IB and IGCSE tutors in Zamania is therefore looking for a service built around distance, where the tutor arrives through a screen and not through a school gate.

The households that still ask tend to fit a few patterns. Army and government families expect postings and want a syllabus that moves with the child. Families with someone working abroad often plan for a child to join them or study overseas. Ambitious local families want a stronger grounding in English, mathematics and science than rote preparation gives. Each uses the IB or IGCSE as a bridge, not as a replacement for the school they trust.

Physical options sit in other cities. In Varanasi, Sunbeam International School, Varuna is registered with Cambridge and was teaching up to Class 9 when we last checked, building towards IGCSE. Lucknow has Modern School, which runs the PYP, and Cambridge schools such as City Montessori School's Cambridge Campus; the Purvanchal Expressway has made that road far less punishing. For the Diploma years, most boarders go further, to Delhi, Dehradun or Kolkata.

Directory sites sometimes list international schools in small towns on thin evidence. The reliable checks are the IB's Find an IB School directory and Cambridge's school locator, and we use both before naming any campus. That is why the school strip at the top of this page is empty, and why the clusters below look to other cities.

02

How does the UP Board or CBSE route compare with IGCSE and the IB for a Zamania student?

  • Recall wins marks in board papers; explanation wins them in IGCSE and IB
  • English vocabulary is the practical gap for Hindi-medium students
  • Coursework teaches planning that board exams do not
  • Tier and level decide how steep the step up really is

In one line: UP Board and CBSE reward remembering and reproducing, while IGCSE and the IB reward explaining and applying. A Class 10 science paper can often be answered from a well-learned chapter; an IGCSE paper puts a familiar idea in an unfamiliar setting, and an IB Paper 2 asks you to defend a method. That is the shift a student has to prepare for.

Medium matters in this district. Many students learn in Hindi, speak Bhojpuri at home and meet English mainly in textbooks, yet IGCSE and IB papers outside the language subjects are written in English. The gap is rarely intelligence. It is vocabulary, sentence control and confidence, which a tutor can build in weekly steps if the work starts early.

Coursework is the other divide. Board practical exams count for a small share, while IB Internal Assessments and IGCSE coursework or practical papers demand planning across weeks and honest reporting of uncertainty. Students who have only revised before an exam need to learn to work in stages, and a tutor can set deadlines that a busy school may not.

Neither route is simply harder. Many students find continuous criteria-based marking kinder than one three-hour board paper. The honest warning is about height: IGCSE Core is near CBSE level, Extended is a step above, and IB Higher Level maths and sciences go well beyond Class 12 content in several topics.

03

What does IB or IGCSE tuition cost in Zamania, and who decides the figure?

  • No published rate card; the fee follows course, level and tutor scarcity
  • Your figure arrives in writing before the free trial
  • No travel or venue cost, since lessons are online
  • Pause, stop or change tutor at any time without penalty

The honest answer is that it depends on what the lesson is for, and we publish no rate card. Fees move with the course and level, the hours each week, how close the exam is and how few tutors can teach that exact paper. Your figure is sent in writing before the free trial, and it stays the same unless you ask for a change.

Online lessons remove costs that a town like Zamania would otherwise carry. There is no hiring of a car or a seat on a bus to Ghazipur or Varanasi, no tutor's travel time added to the hourly rate and no hall to rent. What you pay for is the tutor's knowledge of the course and the preparation behind each lesson, which is where the value sits.

Be wary of comparing only on price per hour. A tutor who has marked this year's IGCSE Physics practical paper, or who has guided Applications and Interpretation explorations from first draft to submission, can fix in two lessons what a general tutor would circle for six. Ask each prospective tutor how they would spend your child's first month.

There is no contract. Reviews happen every few weeks, lessons can be paused for Chhath or a wedding, and if the trial shows a mismatch we find another tutor rather than ask your child to cope.

04

Online tutor, coaching in Varanasi, a local home tutor or self-study: what fits Zamania?

  • Coaching batches target entrance exams, not IB or IGCSE
  • Travel to Varanasi costs hours that could be study
  • Local tutors seldom carry recent international marking experience
  • Connection and power backup are the online route's real requirements

Coaching in Varanasi, Prayagraj or Kota is organised around JEE, NEET and board toppers, and the batches are large. If your child is a CBSE or UP Board Class 12 candidate, that can work. A student on IB Physics HL or IGCSE Additional Mathematics finds nothing in the timetable, because nobody else in the room is sitting that syllabus.

Distance is the second problem. The road from Zamania to Varanasi is long enough that an evening class there means leaving early and returning late, and families think hard about night travel for any child. A video lesson from the home study room removes the journey, the cost of a room in the city and the worry together.

Local home tutors in Zamania and Ghazipur can be excellent for UP Board mathematics and science. What they rarely have is recent experience of IB mark schemes or Cambridge examiner reports. Self-study can carry a motivated student through IGCSE Mathematics, since past papers and mark schemes are free, but Internal Assessments and extended answers need an outside reader.

The online specialist is not magic, and the price is a reliable connection and a quiet space. We test both in the trial, suggest a backup such as a mobile hotspot, and keep the whiteboard saved so that a broken session can resume without losing the lesson.

Chhath, the monsoon and winter fog: the Zamania exam year

  • Chhath is the longest genuine pause in the eastern UP calendar
  • June heat and July-August rain each reshape the evening
  • The Diploma sits in May; Cambridge in May-June and October-November
  • UP Board and CBSE finals in February-March crowd the early year

Chhath is the great pause of the year in this part of eastern Uttar Pradesh, with families at the Ganga or the village pond for the evening and morning offerings. Dussehra and Diwali fall close to it in most years, and Eid moves about ten days earlier each year. Lessons in those windows are moved or skipped, and the plan makes sure nothing important is left to them.

Weather shapes the rest. Ghazipur's records show a high of 46.4 degrees in June, about 984 mm of rain a year with July and August the wettest months, and winter nights that have dipped below freezing. A June sitting means revising through the hottest fortnight of the year; a November sitting means working through the rains and the festival season. Both are manageable if the timetable is built backwards from the paper.

The exam clock runs alongside. Diploma candidates sit in May with results in early July, plus a November session; Cambridge IGCSE sits in May-June and October-November; Edexcel adds January. UP Board and CBSE finals fall in February and March, so a child on both tracks should start planning in October.

For a DP student the pressure points are the first Internal Assessment drafts in the autumn of Class 12, predicted grades sent to universities around the same time and winter mocks, when fog and cold shorten the evening. Starting in Class 11 lets a student absorb these dates without panic.

06

What can a student from Zamania do after IB or IGCSE?

  • Local: Post Graduate College, Ghazipur; SKBM Degree College, Dildarnagar
  • Regional: Banaras Hindu University and IIT (BHU) in Varanasi
  • AIU equivalence and CUET-UG rules need checking in Class 11
  • Predicted grades drive Class 12 applications abroad

Directions fall into three groups: staying in India for engineering, medicine or the humanities, studying abroad, or taking a degree and then attempting the civil services. Varanasi offers Banaras Hindu University and IIT (BHU). Closer to home, Post Graduate College in Ghazipur and SKBM Degree College in Dildarnagar offer local degrees. Delhi University and other central universities are reached through CUET-UG.

Indian institutions usually ask for an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities for IB and IGCSE results. JEE Main, NEET-UG and CUET-UG each publish eligibility rules that depend on subjects and levels studied, so read the current bulletin in Class 11 and not after results arrive.

Aspirants to the civil services often ask whether the IB closes that door. It does not: the exam asks for a recognised degree, and what matters is that the degree itself is recognised. A student weighing this should check the current UPSC notice before choosing a university.

For study abroad, predicted grades matter early. UK applications run through UCAS with a mid-January deadline for most courses; US applications often close between November and January. Tutors support the academic side, subject depth and exam technique, and leave admissions consulting to others.

07

IB Maths AA and AI, and the sciences, for a student moving from Hindi-medium schooling

  • AA suits proof and calculus; AI suits data and modelling
  • Science vocabulary in English is built through weekly word lists
  • Investigations can use simulations, open data and low-cost experiments
  • Real mark schemes enter the plan from the second month

Mathematics is often the easiest place to start, because numbers do not care about language. Analysis and Approaches suits a student heading for engineering or pure science and rewards fluent algebra and calculus; Applications and Interpretation suits one who prefers data, statistics and modelling. A student from a UP Board background usually computes quickly and then loses marks where the question says justify, show that or hence.

The sciences add a vocabulary problem. A student who learned force, energy and enzyme in Hindi must now write them precisely in English under time pressure. We build word lists with the student, rehearse definitions aloud and mark answers for terminology first and content second. Over a term most students read questions noticeably faster.

Practical work needs imagination where labs are scarce. IB Physics, Chemistry and Biology investigations can use simulations, open data sets and low-cost experiments such as pendulum timing, cooling curves or plant growth. A tutor helps choose a question the available equipment can answer, so the work is honest and finishable.

Across all three sciences the pattern is the same: diagnose content gaps in the first two lessons, practise command terms every week, and use real mark schemes from the second month. HL students also need steady practice on Paper 3 style questions.

08

IGCSE in Zamania: Core or Extended, Cambridge or Edexcel, and what to choose in Class 9

  • Extended tiers keep the Diploma and science streams open
  • Cambridge and Edexcel wording differs; practise on the right board
  • Online provision widens subject choice beyond the local school
  • Practical skills can be taught through worked examples

Most of the decision happens in Grade 9. Extended tiers allow every grade up to the top and keep the IB Diploma and science streams open; Core tiers cap the grade and suit a student for whom a confident pass matters more than a stretch. When in doubt, begin on Extended content and move down in the first term if needed, which is easier than moving up late.

Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE cover the same ground but sound different. Edexcel papers are split into Foundation and Higher and include a January session; Cambridge uses numbered papers with Core and Extended routes and sits in May-June and October-November. A student trained on one board's wording who sits the other loses marks on phrasing alone, so practice stays on the right board's papers.

Subject choice is wide when a student studies through an online provider. Additional Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics and Combined Science are all options a village school could not offer, though each extra subject must earn its hours. We help a family decide with a short test on the first topics.

Practical skills deserve early work. Whether a school uses a practical exam or the written alternative, a student with little lab access needs guided practice in tables, graphs and error analysis. We prepare these through worked examples and recorded demonstrations.

Where we tutor

Zamania, Ghazipur district and the towns around it

Because a lesson runs on video, what matters about each place below is context: which school catchment a family belongs to, where the nearest city is, and what a workable evening looks like once river, rain, fog or a festival is in the way.

Zamania town

The tehsil headquarters, with a mix of government, trading and teaching households. Schools are UP Board and CBSE, and tuition is usually added for depth, not to change course.

Villages along the Ganga

The river runs a few miles from the town; when it is high in the monsoon, roads and power can be interrupted, so lessons carry a backup plan.

Dildarnagar

A junction town opened on the railway in 1862, with SKBM Degree College and several inter colleges; students there often travel on the Varanasi and Buxar side.

Gahmar

A Ganga-side village of about 26,000, nicknamed the Village of Soldiers; service families here value a syllabus that can follow a posting.

Kamsaar

A large settlement beside Dildarnagar with a long record of sending sons and daughters to study elsewhere; online lessons let the same families keep teenagers at home.

Ghazipur city

The district headquarters, home to PG College, the opium factory established in 1820 and Cornwallis's tomb; coaching and CBSE schools make it the local education hub.

Mohammadabad

A neighbouring tehsil on NH-31 where the Purvanchal Expressway ends nearby, which has shortened the road to Lucknow for families who visit schools there.

Saidpur

Another tehsil of the district, with farm-dependent households whose calendar follows the paddy and wheat seasons.

Jakhania

A tehsil town where state-board schooling dominates and online tuition is the practical route to an international syllabus.

Buxar border area

Across the Bihar line, Buxar is a short journey from the eastern edge of the district, and many families here have relatives on both sides.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Zamania

Zamania and Ghazipur district

We found no school in Zamania or elsewhere in the district teaching the IB or a Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE syllabus. Local schooling runs on the UP Board and CBSE, so families pursuing an international course do it through a tutor beside their present school or through an online provider.

    Nearby: Varanasi

Varanasi is the closest large city. Sunbeam International School, Varuna was Cambridge-registered and teaching up to Class 9 when we last checked, building towards IGCSE; it is the one local reference point, not a full international-school market.

    • Sunbeam International School, Varuna

    Nearby: Lucknow

The state capital has Modern School, which runs the PYP, and Cambridge-curriculum schools. The Purvanchal Expressway, open since November 2021 and ending in Ghazipur district, has made the long road to Lucknow easier for a family planning a move.

    • Modern School, Lucknow
    • City Montessori School, Cambridge Campus
    • DPS Gomti Nagar Jr

IB Gram has no link with any school named here, or with the International Baccalaureate Organization, Cambridge Assessment International Education or Pearson Edexcel. Schools appear only so a family can see where an IB or IGCSE campus can really be reached from Zamania. None was confirmed in the tehsil itself, and the strip above stays empty for that reason.

    How matching works

From first enquiry to a tutor who fits

    1. 01

Tell us what your child sits

Programme or board, subject and level, current grade, the exam session and the evening hours that suit your household once school and power cuts are counted.

    2. 02

      See a short list

We propose tutors who have taught that exact course and say plainly why each fits, instead of handing over a long list of profiles.

    3. 03

      Try a free lesson

Your child works on a real topic with the tutor online, at no cost and with no obligation to continue.

    4. 04

      Approve the first month

The tutor lays out topics, rhythm and reporting; you approve it or ask for changes, and the rate is confirmed in writing.

    5. 05

      Begin the routine

Fixed weekly lessons, a short note after each, and a review every few weeks, with a new tutor if the fit weakens.

    Why families choose us

What Zamania parents tell us matters most

    Matched to the real syllabus

Subject, level, board and tier decide the match, so a Zamania student never gets a tutor for a different paper.

Made for a district without an IB school

No campus is needed nearby, because matching reaches tutors across India and keeps the child at home.

    Free first lesson

Your child tries a real topic before any fee is agreed, so the decision rests on the lesson, not a profile.

    Honest about assessed work

Tutors coach Internal Assessments and essays but never write them, which protects the qualification.

    Reports a parent can read

A brief note after every session shows what was covered, even if you cannot sit in.

    Independent and flexible

    Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Zamania: your questions answered

Are there IB and IGCSE tutors in Zamania itself?+

Not in the sense of a local centre or a tutor down the road. IB Gram tutors teach Zamania students online, from elsewhere in India, one to one and live. That actually widens the choice, because the tutor is picked for the exact syllabus and level rather than for living nearby.

Do you offer home tuition in Zamania?+

Only as online home tuition. In-person visits run solely in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR, so in Zamania the lesson happens at your own table over video. Many families find this easier than it sounds: the tutor shares a whiteboard, marks past papers on screen and sends a written note afterwards.

Which school in Ghazipur district teaches IB or IGCSE?+

We could not confirm one. Schools in the district follow the UP Board or CBSE. The nearest relevant names are Sunbeam International School, Varuna in Varanasi, which was Cambridge-registered and teaching to Class 9 at our last check, and Modern School and Cambridge schools in Lucknow. Check any school's current offer with it directly.

How much does IB or IGCSE tuition cost for a Zamania student?+

It depends on the course and level, weekly hours, exam timing and how scarce the right specialist is, and we put the figure in writing before the free trial. Higher Level Diploma subjects generally cost more than IGCSE Core. Lessons are online, so there is no travel cost, and no long contract.

My child studies in Hindi medium under the UP Board. Is IB or IGCSE realistic?+

Yes, with a plan for English. Content knowledge is rarely the obstacle; vocabulary, sentence control and exam wording are. A tutor builds those weekly, starting with the subject words your child needs, and the move is easier before Class 9 or 11 than during the exam year.

Can my child keep preparing for NEET or JEE alongside IB or IGCSE?+

Often yes, but the plan needs care. IB HL maths and sciences overlap with entrance syllabi, while IGCSE Extended is a useful foundation. Gaps remain, and AIU equivalence is required. We map your child's subjects against the exam's current bulletin and flag topics that need separate attention.

What device and connection do we need?+

A laptop or tablet with a camera, headphones, a quiet corner and a connection that holds a video call, ideally with a mobile hotspot as backup. A phone alone is awkward for whiteboard work. We test everything in the free trial and agree what to do if the signal drops mid-lesson.

How do Chhath and the monsoon affect lessons?+

We plan for both. Lessons pause or move during Chhath, Dussehra and Diwali, and heavy July and August rain may cost an evening, which we make up later. Because tuition is online, a lost evening is a reschedule, not a cancellation, and no one pays twice.

Will a tutor write my child's Internal Assessment?+

No. A tutor can help pick a workable question, explain what each criterion rewards, plan data collection and give honest feedback on drafts. Writing or rewriting assessed work breaches IB academic integrity, and our tutors decline such requests whatever the deadline.

Which IB Diploma subjects do you cover for Zamania students?+

The common choices: Maths Analysis and Approaches and Applications and Interpretation, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Business Management, English A, History, Computer Science, Psychology and Hindi, at HL or SL, plus Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay coaching. For a rarer subject, ask and we will answer honestly.

Do you teach MYP and PYP as well?+

Yes. MYP support from Zamania usually means criterion-based writing, science and mathematics, and the Personal Project process. PYP support covers reading, number sense and the research habits behind the Exhibition, in shorter lessons that suit a younger child's attention.

What happens in the free trial lesson?+

Your child works through a real topic from their syllabus with the tutor, online, so you can see how the tutor explains and how your child responds. No payment is taken. Afterwards the tutor suggests a first-month plan and you choose whether to proceed, adjust or try another tutor.

Should my child take Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE?+

Usually the school or online provider decides, not the family. Cambridge is the more common board in India, while Edexcel has a January session and different paper styles. If the choice is open, we compare the specifications for your child's subjects and then match a tutor who knows that board well.

How early before exams should we begin?+

As early as the start of the course, Class 11 for the Diploma and Grade 9 for IGCSE. Starting later still helps, with lessons aimed at the highest-value topics and past papers. Even a ten-week run before a May or November paper can lift confidence if expectations stay realistic.

Will Indian colleges accept IB or IGCSE marks?+

Generally yes, with paperwork. Universities usually ask for an Association of Indian Universities equivalence certificate, and JEE, NEET and CUET set their own subject rules. Read each exam's current bulletin in Class 11, before subjects are locked, to avoid a surprise at the end.

We are an army family. Can lessons follow a posting?+

Yes, and this is where online tutoring is strongest. The same tutor continues at the same time from a new station, so a child keeps the syllabus and the relationship through transfers. Tell us the likely dates and we will plan around exam sessions.

Is IB Gram linked to any school, the IB, Cambridge or Pearson?+

No. IB Gram is independent, with no affiliation to or endorsement from any school in Zamania or Varanasi, the International Baccalaureate, Cambridge Assessment International Education or Pearson Edexcel. School names on this page describe the landscape, nothing more.

What if we are not happy with the tutor?+

Tell us and we will arrange someone else at no extra charge. Progress is reviewed every few weeks, and a change of tutor is routine. There is no contract, so pausing or stopping carries no penalty.
