IB and IGCSE Tutors and Online Home Tuition in Zaidpur

Families in Zaidpur who want private tuition at home for an IB or IGCSE student will find the nearest classroom options in Lucknow, an hour or more away on the highway. We close that gap with online home tuition: a live one-to-one lesson over video, taken from the student's own desk, with a tutor who has taught the exact course. Our tutors do not visit homes in Zaidpur.

  • Each tutor is matched on the exact course and level, such as IB Chemistry SL or IGCSE Extended Mathematics
  • Live online lessons for Zaidpur, because tutors visit homes only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR
  • A free first lesson, then a rate in writing before you decide anything
  • No tie to any school, to the IB, Cambridge or Pearson

IB & IGCSE in Zaidpur

International syllabuses for a town on State Highway 13

Zaidpur sits in Barabanki district, west of the Ghaghra plain and on State Highway 13, and its working life is tied to cloth: hand-loom scarves and stoles are among the town's best-known products, and many households have someone in a trade, a government post or work in a larger city. The schools are the familiar Uttar Pradesh mix of UP Board, CBSE and a few ICSE-affiliated institutions, and we could not confirm an IB or Cambridge school inside the town.

That does not make an IB or IGCSE tutor irrelevant here. Families who ask us about home tuition from Zaidpur usually belong to one of a few groups: parents whose child is enrolled at an international school in Lucknow and needs help beyond the classroom, households planning study abroad who want a start on IGCSE or the Diploma, and relatives of people working overseas who expect a move. For each, a specialist reached through a screen is simply more practical than a daily trip to the state capital.

Please read the word home carefully. IB Gram tutors do not come to houses in Zaidpur, and in-person lessons run only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. What we do is private tuition at home in the online sense: your child sits at their own table, a tutor appears on screen, and the lesson is one to one with a shared whiteboard and worksheets.

We are independent. We have no affiliation with the International Baccalaureate, Cambridge, Pearson or any school, and our tutors never write an Internal Assessment, Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge essay or any coursework for a student.

At a glance

  • IB PYP, MYP, DP and CP, plus Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE
  • Live video lessons, no road time between Zaidpur and Lucknow
  • A written note on what was covered after every session
  • A fresh tutor if the first match is not right
  • No home visits in Zaidpur, online only
IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Zaidpur school years

A Zaidpur child can follow any stage of the IB continuum through online lessons. The shape of the help changes as the programme gets more demanding, as set out below.

PYPNursery to Class 5, ages 3-11

IB Primary Years Programme

Learning is organised around units of inquiry rather than separate textbooks, and the final Exhibition has pupils research a question of their own. There are no formal external papers at this stage.

For a Zaidpur child coming from a Hindi- or Urdu-medium classroom, early sessions often go to spoken English and number sense, taught through short stories and games rather than drills.

MYPClass 6-10, ages 11-16

IB Middle Years Programme

Eight subject groups are assessed against published criteria, with an interdisciplinary unit and a Personal Project in the final year. Students are marked on how they reason, not only on what they recall.

A student who moves from UP Board or CBSE into MYP in Lucknow often struggles with criterion language first. We practise reading a rubric and drafting to it, leaving the project work itself to the child.

DPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Diploma Programme

Six subjects, three at Higher Level, are combined with Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS. Final examinations fall in May or November, and internal assessments count towards most subject grades.

Diploma candidates from Zaidpur typically attend a school in Lucknow or another city. A weekly online specialist helps most in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, where classroom pace is hard to match.

CPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Career-related Programme

Two or more DP courses are combined with a career-related qualification, a reflective project and language development. It suits students who are aiming at vocational or applied higher study.

CP is rare in Uttar Pradesh. We support the academic courses and the language strand for any student who is registered for it, and we say so plainly if a different route would serve them better.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Zaidpur school timetables

Because tutors do not visit Zaidpur, each format below is delivered over video. They differ in group size and in the part of the year when they help most.

One-to-one lessons from home

One student and one specialist, live, with the student at their own desk. It is the nearest thing to home tuition available in Zaidpur, since home visits exist only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR.

  • Shared whiteboard and annotated worksheets
  • A standing weekly slot in IST
  • Written summary after each session

Pre-exam intensive blocks

Short, concentrated runs of lessons before the May and November sessions or a school mock, built around timed papers and marked corrections.

  • Alternate-day or daily sessions
  • Topic-by-topic gap list
  • Mark scheme walk-throughs

Paired lessons

Two students on the same course and level share one tutor, which suits siblings or cousins. The rate is quoted in writing, and splitting back to one to one is always possible.

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Zaidpur

01

Which schools near Zaidpur offer the IB or IGCSE?

  • Zaidpur schools: UP Board and CBSE, no confirmed IB or Cambridge
  • Nearest confirmed options are in Lucknow
  • Distance, not interest, is the main barrier for local families
  • Always verify authorisation on the official directories

None that we could confirm inside Zaidpur itself. The town's schools are affiliated to the UP Board or CBSE, and no listing we checked showed an IB World School authorisation or a Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel centre in or immediately around the town. We prefer to say that openly rather than invent a local campus for the sake of a nicer page.

The real options begin in Lucknow. Modern School in Aliganj is the city's authorised IB school for the Primary Years Programme, and City Montessori School's Cambridge campus and GD Goenka Public School are the names associated with Cambridge IGCSE. For a Zaidpur family, the question is practical: can a child manage the daily distance, or would a rented flat or hostel make sense?

A third group stays in Zaidpur and studies a curriculum through a school in another place as a private or distance candidate, with an online tutor as the main classroom. That route works best at IGCSE level, where a motivated student can prepare for a small number of subjects, and needs the most care at Diploma level, where a registered school is required.

Before choosing, ask any school for its current authorisation, then check the IB's directory of schools or Cambridge's centre finder yourself. Affiliations change, and a name on a hoarding is not proof.

02

UP Board, CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE or IB: which suits a Zaidpur student?

Each board rewards a different habit. UP Board papers lean on the prescribed textbooks and clear recall, CBSE adds application and a national exam culture, ICSE expects fuller English answers, and IGCSE and the IB ask students to explain, interpret data and argue from evidence in unfamiliar situations.

That difference shows up fastest in science and social science. A student who has always found the right paragraph in the textbook now meets a question that gives a graph and asks what it implies. This is a skill, and skills improve with practice and feedback rather than extra reading.

For a family set on JEE, NEET or a state engineering counselling route, staying with CBSE or UP Board and joining a coaching class is usually more direct. For a family looking at the UK, Canada, Singapore or Europe, or a private Indian university with an international intake, IGCSE followed by the Diploma or A Levels tends to fit better. Neither is superior in general; the destination decides.

If you are unsure, tell us the current marks, the language of instruction and the countries or courses under consideration. We will say honestly whether IB or IGCSE makes sense, or whether another board serves the child better.

03

What drives the cost of IB and IGCSE tuition for a Zaidpur family?

  • Course rarity and tutor experience set the rate
  • Weekly hours and exam proximity change the total
  • Written rate before booking, no hidden extras
  • Free first lesson with no obligation

There is no price list on this site, and that is deliberate. The rate you pay follows the tutor and the course, not the postcode, and it reaches you in writing before anything is booked. The first lesson is free so that the teaching can be judged first.

Four things move the figure. The course matters, since an IB Physics HL tutor with years on the syllabus is a smaller pool than a Class 8 mathematics helper. The number of sessions each week matters, because a standing slot is planned differently from a one-off clinic. Timing matters, as exam-month blocks need more preparation. And duration matters: some students need eight weeks of focused work, others a full academic year.

Compare carefully with what is on offer around Zaidpur. A neighbourhood batch charges little because many students share one teacher, and it will not follow an IB or IGCSE mark scheme. A fairer comparison is a specialist in Lucknow, where the fee is only part of the cost once daily travel and time are counted.

To keep spending predictable, ask for a fixed block aimed at one topic, a paired lesson with a classmate, or a revision series before a mock. All can be quoted up front. If a quote looks wrong for your budget, say so; we would rather adjust the plan than lose a good fit.

04

Online home tuition, a coaching centre, a local tutor or self-study?

For a Zaidpur student the choice is narrower than in a big city. There are plenty of coaching options for board exams and entrance tests, fewer for international syllabuses, and almost none locally for IB or IGCSE command terms and mark schemes. Online one-to-one is the route most likely to put a child in front of someone who has taught the actual course.

Coaching centres in the district are built around UP Board and CBSE results and the usual entrance tests. They serve those goals well, but the style of answer rewarded there is different from the style rewarded by an IGCSE examiner. A local private tutor can be wonderful for primary homework help and still not know how a Diploma Internal Assessment is marked.

Self-study is real and works for some. A disciplined Class 9 student can work through IGCSE Mathematics past papers alone. What goes missing is feedback on the errors a student cannot see, and for Extended Essay planning or data-based laboratory write-ups, that missing feedback is expensive.

Many families combine routes: a local class for board subjects and online lessons for the international subjects. The only caution is load. A student in three coaching batches and two online lessons is not learning more, only sleeping less.

How do heat, fog, monsoon and festivals shape a study year in Zaidpur?

The Gangetic plain gives Zaidpur a harsh summer and a cold, foggy winter. May and June bring heat and loo winds that make afternoon travel miserable and, on bad days, interrupt power. December and January bring dense fog that delays buses and trains on the Lucknow side and can keep younger children home.

Monsoon arrives around late June or July and runs into September. The rains matter for study mainly through waterlogged lanes and power cuts, so a charged laptop and a phone hotspot are worth keeping ready. Cut-offs are not frequent, but they cluster in the hottest weeks.

Festival timing needs equal respect. Ramzan and Eid change daily routines for many households, with late nights and shorter study hours, and Muharram, Diwali, Holi and Chhath each have their own pull on family time. We plan the lesson calendar around these rather than against them, and agree changes a week ahead.

The IB examinations fall in May and November, and IGCSE sits in the May or June and October or November series. November candidates have the clearest autumn run for mocks, while May candidates carry revision through the heat, so we move sessions to the evening when the day has cooled.

06

Where can an IB or IGCSE student from Zaidpur study after school?

  • IB Diploma: recognised in India through AIU equivalence
  • CUET-UG and JEE rules must be rechecked every year
  • UK, Canada, Singapore and Europe read IB and IGCSE well
  • Start planning at least a year ahead

Within India, the Association of Indian Universities treats the IB Diploma as equivalent to a Class 12 certificate, which allows admission to most universities, though individual programmes set their own subject requirements. Lucknow offers a range of options a Zaidpur graduate can reach without moving far, from the University of Lucknow to the private universities of the city, and IIT Kanpur lies a day trip away for those with the grades.

CUET-UG accepts IB and IGCSE-based qualifications on the same footing as other boards for central university admission, as long as the student meets the stated subject combination. For JEE and NEET, eligibility rules and subject requirements have to be checked on the current brochures, and Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology choices should be made with them in view from Class 11.

Abroad, the Diploma and a strong IGCSE record are read easily by universities in the UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore and much of Europe. Students are asked for predicted grades, a personal statement and, often, English-language proof, and the process starts a year before the final exams.

Tutors here coach rather than counsel. We will tell you what a subject combination makes possible and where the rules are strict, but admissions advice is best confirmed on the university's own pages.

07

How are IB Mathematics and the sciences taught in a Zaidpur lesson?

  • AA versus AI settled in the first lesson
  • Data booklet and command terms used from day one
  • Past papers marked against the real mark scheme
  • Internal assessments coached, never written

Mathematics AA and AI are different courses, and the first lesson settles which one the student is on. AA stresses algebra, calculus and proof, AI stresses statistics and technology. A student who picked AA because it sounded more serious but struggles with abstraction may do better on AI, and we say so early rather than after a bad mock.

Physics, Chemistry and Biology are taught topic by topic, with the data booklet and the command terms in the room from the start. A Chemistry lesson, for example, might take one equilibrium problem and show how the marks are split between the setup, the calculation and the final statement, which turns a vague sense of difficulty into specific habits.

The internal assessment is where the line against help is firmest. A tutor can explain what the criteria reward, discuss whether a research question is feasible and comment on a draft's clarity. The investigation itself, the data and the writing are the student's own, and we stop where coaching would become writing.

Lessons are built around the student's own papers and class notes. Bring the last test, the school's syllabus outline and one problem you could not do, and the hour is spent on those.

08

IGCSE Core or Extended: choosing subjects and tiers

Most IGCSE subjects offer a Core and an Extended tier. Core papers cap the highest grade and suit students who are building confidence; Extended papers open the full grade range and are the usual choice for anyone who plans to take Mathematics or a science further. Switching tier late is possible but costly, so the decision is best taken early in Class 9 or 10.

A sensible Zaidpur student might choose Extended Mathematics, two or three sciences, English as a Second Language or First Language, and one social science such as Economics or Business Studies. Hindi or Urdu as a second language may be available depending on the board and the series, and we confirm the specification code before lessons begin.

Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel are different boards with different paper structures, and a tutor should know which one the student is sitting. A Cambridge Mathematics 0580 candidate and an Edexcel 4MA1 candidate prepare differently for the calculator paper, for instance.

Private candidates need an authorised centre to enter them for the exam, usually in Lucknow or Delhi. That has to be arranged months before the series, and we suggest asking the centre about practical components before committing to a subject.

Where we tutor

Zaidpur and the Barabanki belt we teach online

Any address with steady internet can join. The list below names the town and the nearby places Zaidpur families mention when they describe commutes, school choices and study timing.

Zaidpur town and main bazaar

The commercial heart, where many weaving and trading households live above or behind shops. Evenings get loud, so a quiet room and headphones matter more than a fast connection.

The SH-13 corridor

Households along the state highway deal with heavy lorry traffic and long waits at crossings, which is why a lesson at the desk beats a drive for a supplementary class.

Hand-loom neighbourhoods

Families in the scarf and stole trade often work irregular hours before big orders. A lesson time that stays fixed for the child, whatever the shop is doing, is the real need.

Nawabganj side

Northwest of Zaidpur and a larger market town on the Barabanki side. Some families here have relatives in the Lucknow school system and ask about transferring a child later.

Barabanki city

The district headquarters, with government-service households who are posted and transferred, and therefore value a tutor who does not depend on a fixed address.

Fatehpur and Ramnagar belt

Rural and semi-urban pockets of the district where school choice is limited and an online specialist is the only route to an international syllabus.

Dewa Sharif area

A well-known pilgrimage destination of the district. Its fair season brings crowds and diversions, and lessons are planned around it.

Safdarganj and Satrikh

Eastern and northern parts of the district where families send children to Lucknow or Ayodhya for school and rely on evening online support.

Gomti Nagar, Lucknow

Not in the district but where many Zaidpur students end up at school or in rented flats. Lessons carry over unchanged if a child moves there.

Faizabad Road, Lucknow

A growing corridor on the Barabanki side of the capital, used by families who commute between a Zaidpur home and a Lucknow school.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Zaidpur

Nearby: Lucknow

The state capital, about an hour or more from Zaidpur by road, is where the region's confirmed IB and Cambridge options sit. Families here choose between daily travel, a rented flat, or studying from home with online help. Local options in Zaidpur itself are limited.

  • Modern School, Aliganj (IB PYP)
  • City Montessori School, Cambridge Campus
  • GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow

Nearby: Dehradun and the Uttarakhand boarding belt

Some Uttar Pradesh families send a teenager to a boarding school in the hills for an international curriculum, and then need subject help during holidays.

  • SelaQui International School
  • Unison World School
  • Woodstock School, Mussoorie

In Zaidpur itself: UP Board and CBSE

Local schools follow the UP Board or CBSE, and we could not confirm any IB or Cambridge programme in the town. We name none as offering either.

  • No confirmed IB or Cambridge school in Zaidpur; we name none.

IB Gram is an independent tutoring service with no link to the schools, boards or examining bodies mentioned here. Schools in other cities are listed only as geographic context, and any family should confirm a school's current IB or Cambridge authorisation with the school and the official directories.

How matching works

From first enquiry to a tutor who fits

Why families choose us

What Zaidpur parents tell us matters most

Matched to the course code

Tutors are chosen by syllabus and level, for example IB Biology SL or IGCSE Additional Mathematics, not a broad subject label.

Honest about format

Zaidpur lessons are online, and home visits run only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR.

Coaching, never ghost-writing

Tutors explain and give feedback but do not write IAs, Extended Essays, TOK essays or coursework.

Built for plain-power reality

We plan around heat-season power cuts and fog-season delays so a missed evening can be moved.

India-based and on IST

Lessons run on Indian time, which makes post-school and weekend slots easy to fix.

Notes for parents

A written summary after each session shows what was covered and what to practise.

Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Zaidpur: your questions answered

Can I find an IB tutor in Zaidpur?+

Yes, for live online lessons. Our tutors teach over video from elsewhere in India and are matched to your child's course and level. None of them visits homes in Zaidpur. Send the course, level and exam session, and we propose a tutor and a free trial slot in Indian Standard Time.

Do tutors come to my house in Zaidpur?+

No. Home visits are offered only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. In Zaidpur, home tuition means an online lesson taken from home: one student, one specialist, live video and a shared whiteboard. Many families find that more reliable than travelling to Lucknow, given the highway traffic and the weather.

Is there an IB or Cambridge school in Zaidpur?+

We could not confirm one. Zaidpur's schools appear to follow the UP Board or CBSE. The nearest confirmed IB and Cambridge options are in Lucknow, so we name no Zaidpur school as offering either curriculum. Check the IB school directory or Cambridge's centre finder before relying on any claim.

Which Lucknow schools offer the IB or IGCSE?+

Modern School in Aliganj is listed for the IB Primary Years Programme, and City Montessori School's Cambridge campus and GD Goenka Public School are associated with IGCSE. We list them only as context, not as partners. Affiliations change, so ask each school for current authorisation.

What does IB or IGCSE tuition cost for a Zaidpur student?+

We publish no prices. The rate depends on the tutor, the level of the course, how rare the subject is and the hours you book each week, not on the town. A written quote comes before booking, and the first lesson is free, so you can judge the teaching before paying.

Which IB subjects can you teach to Zaidpur students?+

Most Diploma subjects are covered, including Mathematics AA and AI, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Business Management, Computer Science, English A and Hindi B. Urdu is offered where the school confirms the course. Tell us the level and the syllabus year, and we check that a tutor is available.

Can a student in Zaidpur sit IGCSE as a private candidate?+

Often yes, through an authorised exam centre, usually in Lucknow or Delhi. We teach the content and prepare for papers, but the centre handles entry, fees and any practical component. Contact a centre several months before the series, and ask about science practical arrangements early.

Will a tutor write my IA or Extended Essay?+

No. Tutors explain, ask questions and give feedback, but they never write an Internal Assessment, Extended Essay, TOK essay or any coursework. These must be the student's own work. We help with structure, criteria and the habits examiners reward, which is safe and honest help.

How is the IB different from UP Board or CBSE?+

UP Board and CBSE papers lean towards recall and application from set textbooks, while the IB asks for analysis, extended writing and internal assessments over two years. Students moving across need practice with command terms and unfamiliar data. That adjustment is learnable and is where most of our early lessons go.

Is the IB Diploma accepted by Indian universities?+

Yes, the Association of Indian Universities treats it as equivalent to Class 12. Individual courses may add subject requirements, and entrance tests such as CUET-UG, JEE or NEET have their own rules. Check each year's brochure, because eligibility language is updated and a general answer is not a substitute.

What if power cuts or fog disturb a lesson?+

We move the lesson. If a cut or a network failure ends a session early, we reschedule at no penalty, and a laptop on charge plus a phone hotspot is a sensible backup. During peak fog or heat weeks we can shift to a time when conditions are steadier.

Can a Hindi- or Urdu-medium student start IGCSE or the IB?+

Yes, with a realistic plan. The first few weeks usually go to academic English, reading questions closely and writing structured answers. Many students from regional-medium schools do well once they settle into the vocabulary. We tell you honestly if the target level looks too steep for the time available.

Do you help with exam entry?+

No. Registration is handled by the student's school or an authorised exam centre. We can tell you what questions to ask, such as session deadlines, practical components and fees, but we do not enter candidates. The centre can confirm everything in writing for you.

How do festivals and fasting months affect lessons?+

We plan around them. During Ramzan, Diwali, Holi, Chhath and similar periods, families often prefer shorter or earlier sessions, and we agree the schedule a week ahead. If a family event interrupts, we reschedule without charge where notice is reasonable, so the calendar stays workable.

How do I start?+

Write to support@ibgram.com or message +91 7439 368 115 on WhatsApp with the board, subject, level and exam session. We reply with a tutor suggestion and trial times in Indian Standard Time. The first lesson is free, the rate is written down before you commit, and you can switch tutors if needed.

Can siblings share lessons?+

Yes, if they are on the same course and level. Paired lessons suit brothers, sisters or cousins preparing the same subject, and the rate is quoted in writing. If their pace differs, you can return to one-to-one sessions at any point without penalty.
