IB and IGCSE Tutors in Sojat: Online Home Tuition for the Henna Town

Private home tuition for an IB or IGCSE student in Sojat comes in one form, online, and it is a genuine form of teaching: a specialist on video, one student, a shared whiteboard and a weekly slot that does not wander. Nobody visits Sojat homes, because face-to-face tuition is a Gurugram and Delhi NCR service only. The first lesson is free, and feedback is written down after every class.

  • Neither Sojat nor Pali district has an IB or Cambridge school that we could confirm, which is exactly why a tutor is chosen for the course and not the postcode
  • Lessons are live and private; Sojat homes are not visited, since tutors teach face to face only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR
  • You try a full lesson before paying anything, and the rate comes in writing first
  • No link with any school, exam board or university mentioned on this page: IB Gram stands on its own

IB & IGCSE in Sojat

IB and IGCSE tuition in the henna town: what Sojat offers families

Sojat is a city and tehsil headquarters in Pali district, Rajasthan, on the left bank of the Sukri river among the Aravalli hills, with a fort on a hillock above the town. It is best known for henna: Sojat's mehndi carries a Geographical Indication certificate, and the leaf of Lawsonia inermis that is grown, dried, milled and sifted here ends up at weddings and festivals across India and abroad. A town that sells to the world understands why English, accounts and international study matter.

What Sojat does not have, as far as we could confirm, is a school teaching the IB or a Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE, and the district around it has none that we could confirm either. Families who want an international course look to Jodhpur, Jaipur or Ahmedabad, or prepare privately. For a student who studies elsewhere or at home in Sojat, the gap is a specialist subject teacher, and that is what a tutor from another city supplies.

That is why IB and IGCSE tutors in Sojat work online. A student can sit with a tutor in Pune or Chennai, share a whiteboard and work through past papers exactly as a classmate in Jaipur would, and the quality of the lesson does not depend on the road to the nearest big city.

IB Gram is independent, with no tie to any school, board, university or exam body named here. Tutors explain, set practice and mark it, but the student writes their own Internal Assessment, Extended Essay, TOK essay and coursework, as the International Baccalaureate and the exam boards require.

IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Sojat school years

Sojat children meet the IB through a school in another city, a school abroad or a family plan. Below, each programme is explained plainly, together with a line on how it could reach a household in Pali district.

PYPClass 1-5, typically 6 to 11 years

IB Primary Years Programme

Young learners investigate six big themes through questions, and the programme ends with an Exhibition planned by the pupils. There is no external exam, so tutor time goes into fluent reading, number sense and curiosity.

A Sojat family is most likely to meet the PYP while comparing schools in Jodhpur or Jaipur, and a tutor can help a child from a Hindi-medium start settle into English-medium inquiry.

MYPClass 6-10, typically 11 to 16 years

IB Middle Years Programme

Every MYP subject is graded against four published criteria, and students finish with a self-directed Personal Project in year five. The main shift for pupils from RBSE or CBSE classrooms is showing how an answer was reached, in full sentences, and reflecting on it.

Tutors commonly work on English writing and science explanations side by side, because MYP asks for both at once.

DPClass 11-12, typically 16 to 19 years

IB Diploma Programme

A candidate's total comes from six graded subjects, with Theory of Knowledge and the Extended Essay adding a possible three more points, for a maximum of 45, while CAS takes time but carries no marks.

Diploma students connected to Sojat are usually at a boarding school in Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ajmer or further away, and lessons fit between school and exams or during trips home at Diwali and in summer.

CPClass 11-12, typically 16 to 19 years

IB Career-related Programme

Older students combine at least two Diploma courses with a career-focused qualification, a reflective project and service work. The Diploma courses in the mix are graded exactly as they are in the full DP.

Because very few Indian schools offer the CP, a Sojat family interested in it is usually looking at a school outside Rajasthan, and the tutor supports the Diploma courses inside it.

Subject coverage

IB subjects we tutor

Tutoring starts from a short checklist: the exact course and level, the exam session, the state of each internal assessment, and a weekly slot that survives the heat and the festival weeks.

IB Maths Analysis & Approaches

HL / SL

Calculus, sequences and proof dominate, and Higher Level candidates meet extended Paper 3 problems. Optimisation in a business setting, such as the cheapest packaging for a fixed volume of powder, makes formulas visible.

IB Maths Applications & Interpretation

HL / SL

Statistics, regression and modelling reward students who like data, and monthly sales or yield figures from a family trading business make honest raw material for the exploration.

IB Physics

HL / SL

Heat transfer, specific heat capacity and cooling curves make sense in a desert summer, and the electric motor of a grinding mill is a fresh example for energy and efficiency.

IB Chemistry

HL / SL

Lawsone, the dye in henna, is a naphthoquinone that binds to protein in skin, which makes functional groups, extraction and chromatography practicals memorable.

IB Biology

HL / SL

Plant water use in an arid climate and sampling along transects in Aravalli scrub give ready investigation ideas, and students practise judging evidence.

IB Economics

HL / SL

A product sold from one small town to buyers on several continents illustrates exchange rates, comparative advantage and trade barriers better than a textbook cartoon.

IB Business Management

HL / SL

Grinding mills, packing units and export traders give working examples for operations, marketing and finance tools, including SWOT and break-even analysis.

IB Geography

HL / SL

Arid-zone agriculture, the Luni basin and the Aravalli landscape supply case-study material, and the fieldwork question has to be realistic.

IB Environmental Systems & Societies

SL / HL

Soil, water and crop choices in a dry district are good material for sustainability and for comparing environmental value systems.

IB Computer Science

HL / SL

Lessons are hands-on: sorting and searching, recursion, classes and databases, then a product for a real client whose needs drive the internal assessment.

IB Psychology

HL / SL

Key studies are learned exactly and then evaluated, because long answers reward judgement more than memory.

IB English A Language & Literature

HL / SL

Practice rotates through unseen-text analysis, the comparative essay and the spoken commentary, with each task held against its own published rubric.

IB Hindi A

HL / SL

A student who reads Hindi with ease can be assessed on poetry, prose and drama in their own language, with marks for analysis and comparison. Availability is confirmed on request.

IB Visual Arts

SL / HL

Mehndi is a living visual tradition, and a student can research pattern, symmetry and cultural meaning for a comparative study while the tutor advises only on method and process journals.

Theory of Knowledge (TOK)

DP Core

Each meeting picks up one knowledge question and asks the student to defend an answer, meet an objection and then rebuild the answer better.

IGCSE coverage

IGCSE subjects we tutor

A Sojat student on Cambridge or on Pearson Edexcel needs a tutor who has taught that board, at that tier, under that code. The same topic is examined differently from one board to the next, and the list below shows the subjects most often asked for.

IGCSE Mathematics 0580

Tiers: Core, Extended

Mind the paper split: the non-calculator Extended paper rewards fast arithmetic, while the calculator paper rewards good setting-out, and lessons alternate the two.

IGCSE Additional Mathematics 0606

Class 10

An early taste of calculus and functions for students who are eyeing IB Maths AA or A Level Mathematics.

Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics A 4MA1

Tiers: Foundation, Higher

Pearson's 9 to 1 grading and its own phrasing mean that Cambridge papers make the wrong practice.

IGCSE Physics 0625

Tiers: Core, Extended

Electricity, waves and heat come first, and the paper that replaces the practical gets separate drills.

IGCSE Chemistry 0620

Tiers: Core, Extended

Moles and formulae until they are reflex, then reactivity, acids and organic basics, where a natural dye such as henna is a neat example.

IGCSE Biology 0610

Tiers: Core, Extended

Plants, genes and ecosystems, with data-response questions planned point by point before any writing.

IGCSE Accounting 0452

Class 9-10

Ledgers through to final accounts, a natural fit for a trader's child, with layout drilled until it is automatic.

IGCSE Business Studies 0450

Class 9-10

Case-study answers that apply marketing, finance and operations ideas to a named business.

IGCSE Economics 0455

Class 9-10

Diagram first, then argument, then the evaluation that decides the top grades.

IGCSE Computer Science 0478

Class 9-10

Dry-run algorithms by hand, write pseudocode, then code the same idea in Python.

IGCSE English First Language 0500

Class 9-10

Technique beats volume of reading for the summary and directed-writing tasks: choose the points, match the tone.

IGCSE Hindi as a Second Language 0549

Class 9-10

A graded language for students who already speak Hindi or Marwari at home.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Sojat school timetables

Sojat families choose a format by the rhythm of the household: shop hours, school hours and the season. Each one is live, private and on video.

Standing slots after the working day

One evening or two each week with the same tutor, timed after school and after the shop closes, with worked examples and marked questions shown on a shared screen.

  • Tutor matched on board, subject and level
  • Fits IB MYP, DP and both IGCSE boards
  • Written note after each class
  • Change of tutor at your request

Cool-morning blocks in the long summer break

Short, intense runs of early-morning lessons before the heat builds, used to close gaps or to build a foundation before Class 9 or Class 11 begins.

  • Sessions start before the day warms up
  • Good for students changing boards
  • Builds groundwork for the new class
  • Agree a plan before the holiday starts

Checkpoint lessons before each exam

A focused set of sessions in the weeks before a mock or final paper: timed questions, marking to the rubric and a short list of weak topics.

  • Marked to current criteria
  • Feedback within days
  • Command-term practice for long answers
  • Stops when the exam series begins

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Sojat

01

Who in Sojat looks for IB and IGCSE tuition?

  • Trading families value English, accounts and economics
  • Families with science-minded children compare JEE and NEET routes
  • Transfers reward a portable syllabus
  • Boarders need continuity across holidays

Four kinds of household are the natural audience for IB and IGCSE tutors in Sojat: trading and processing families in the henna business, farming families who grow the crop, salaried families in government, banks and schools, and households with a child already studying in another city. Each wants something the local school cannot easily supply, which is an international syllabus taught by a specialist.

Trading families look outward by habit. Their product goes to distant buyers, their customers speak several languages and their children may one day run an export business. IB Business Management, Economics, Chemistry and English suit that future, and IGCSE Accounting and Business Studies give a practical start.

Farming and processing families think in seasons and in risk. A child who is good at science may be steered towards JEE or NEET coaching, and an IB or IGCSE route can run beside that plan. A tutor helps the family see what each path demands before the child commits.

Salaried families and parents of boarders want continuity. A child at a school in Jodhpur, Jaipur or Ajmer who spends the holidays in Sojat can keep the same tutor, which makes a school transfer or a long break far less disruptive.

02

Is there an IB or IGCSE school in Sojat, and where is the nearest?

  • No IB or Cambridge school is confirmed in Sojat or Pali district
  • Jodhpur holds the nearest confirmed school
  • A local school plus online support keeps options open
  • The syllabus is identical wherever it is studied

We could not confirm one in Sojat or anywhere in Pali district. Schools in the area are not shown as IB World Schools or Cambridge or Edexcel centres, and we name none. The nearest confirmed school is in Jodhpur, and wider choices are in Jaipur and Ahmedabad.

Jodhpur is roughly 75 km from Sojat in a straight line and more by road, which makes a daily journey impractical for most children. A few families consider boarding, but for many the combination of a local school and an online specialist is the workable arrangement, at least until Class 10.

We are plain about this because directory pages often suggest that every district has an international school. A family deserves the real picture before deciding where a child should enrol, and tutoring ought to follow that decision, not pretend to replace it.

For students already on an IB or IGCSE course, living in Sojat changes nothing about the syllabus or marking. The papers are the same in Jaipur or Dubai, and an online tutor can teach the course from anywhere in India.

03

How do RBSE, CBSE, IGCSE and IB compare for a Sojat student?

  • RBSE and CBSE favour recall; IGCSE and IB favour reasoning
  • Exam months differ by board
  • Internal work is marked on public criteria
  • Hindi can stay on the timetable

The Rajasthan board, whose headquarters are in Ajmer, and CBSE test how accurately a student can recall and apply a set syllabus in familiar forms. IGCSE and the IB test how well a student can reason with new material and explain the thinking. The content overlaps, but the question style differs, which is why strong Class 10 students are sometimes surprised by their first international paper.

Calendars differ. Rajasthan board exams fall in March, IGCSE papers come in the May and June and October and November series, and IB Diploma papers arrive in May. A student who changes boards changes the rhythm of the school year and has to replan revision.

Internal work is another difference. RBSE and CBSE include practicals and projects, while the IB adds Internal Assessments and an Extended Essay marked on public criteria, and many IGCSE courses include a practical paper or coursework.

Languages travel well. Hindi can be studied as a first language in the IB and as a second language in IGCSE, so a student does not have to drop a home language to move to an international syllabus.

What does IB or IGCSE tuition cost in Sojat, and why is there no price list?

  • Every student gets a written quote first
  • Subject, level and lesson pattern set the rate
  • No travel cost anywhere in Pali district
  • Begin with one subject and review after a month

There is no price list because the work a student needs varies so much. One child wants a weekly Class 8 Mathematics lesson, another wants Higher Level Chemistry three times a week before a mock, and the two cost different amounts. Every family receives a written rate for the plan agreed, before anything is booked.

Four things move the rate. The subject and level matter, because some specialisms are scarcer. The pattern of lessons matters, because a weekly hour and a pre-exam burst add up differently. The tutor's recent work with the exact specification matters, and so does the time left before the exam.

Living in Sojat changes nothing. Online lessons carry no travel cost, so a household near the bazaar and one by the Sukri river pay the same for the same tutor and pattern, and both can draw from tutors across India instead of the handful nearby.

A sensible first step is to pick the one subject that worries the student most, agree a short opening block and read the tutor's notes after a month. Extending the arrangement makes sense only once the trial lesson and that first month show the tutor is right.

05

Online specialist, coaching in Pali or Jodhpur, local tutor or self-study: which suits Sojat?

  • Coaching institutes serve entrance tests and the state board
  • Local tutors may not know current specifications
  • Extended answers need a second reader
  • Online specialists are chosen for the course

For a syllabus with its own code, tiers and command words, IB and IGCSE tutors in Sojat who teach online are usually the most dependable choice, because the teacher is selected for the course, not for the postcode. The other options have real strengths and often work well alongside.

Coaching institutes in Pali, Jodhpur and, for JEE and NEET, Kota are built for entrance tests and the state board syllabus. They give structure and peer energy, but their batches rarely cover IB Physics HL or IGCSE Additional Mathematics, and a batch cannot slow down for one student.

Local tutors bring familiarity and flexibility, which matters for younger children. For senior IB and IGCSE work the missing piece is usually current knowledge of mark schemes, command terms and tier differences, which a tutor acquires only by teaching the specification repeatedly.

Self-study suits disciplined students with plenty of marked past papers. It struggles with open reasoning, because nobody can grade their own extended answer fairly, and an Internal Assessment plan needs a second reader more than any other piece of work.

How do Rajasthan's heat, monsoon and festival calendar affect study in Sojat?

  • Morning slots suit May and June
  • Festival and wedding weeks get lighter schedules
  • The long summer break suits bridge courses
  • Two marked timed papers before each mock

Pali district swings from near-freezing winter nights to around 45 degrees in summer, and Sojat sits in the dry, inland part of that range. The monsoon brings a short wet season in July to September, but most of the year is dry, so the demanding weather is heat, not rain, and the hottest afternoons in May and June are poor for studying.

Schools in Rajasthan follow a long summer break that usually spans May and June, which is the ideal time for concentrated lessons. We suggest early-morning sessions while the air is cool, a spare slot in case power is cut, and a plan for what the student will do on the remaining days.

Festivals and weddings add a second calendar. Henna is part of wedding ceremonies, Teej, Karva Chauth and Eid, so trading households are busy around those dates, and Diwali and Holi take several days. Lessons are planned with that in mind, and revision blocks are placed on either side.

Board exams come in March, which puts mock papers in December and January. IGCSE and IB papers come in May and June, at the start of the heat, so morning revision is sensible. We try to have two timed papers marked before each mock.

07

Where can a Sojat student study after IB or IGCSE?

  • Jodhpur is the nearest big centre for degrees
  • JEE and NEET follow the Class 11 subject list
  • Commerce routes suit trading families
  • Overseas offers rest on predicted grades

The nearest big options are in Jodhpur, which has IIT Jodhpur, AIIMS Jodhpur and a national law university, and in Jaipur, Ajmer and Pilani for engineering, management and science. IB and IGCSE holders are welcome, once equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities and a suitable subject mix are in place.

Engineering and medicine lead through JEE and NEET, which look for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology at Class 12 level, and many Rajasthan students think of Kota for coaching. An IB or IGCSE plan can run beside that, but the workload is real and the family should plan the year with the tutor and the school.

Central universities use CUET-UG, and a commerce-minded student from a trading family can look at business and economics degrees in India or abroad. IB Business Management and Economics, or IGCSE Accounting followed by A Level, are sensible building blocks.

Overseas, the UK, Canada, Australia and the Gulf all read IB and IGCSE results, and UK universities work from grades predicted during the autumn of the last school year. A tutor raises those predictions and sharpens technique, while applications and choices remain the student's.

IB Maths, Chemistry and Biology, and IGCSE tiers: what should a Sojat family know?

  • Pick the Maths course before anything else
  • Early gaps in chemistry return later
  • Biology marks follow command terms
  • Practise only on the right board's papers

IB Maths has two courses. Analysis and Approaches suits students headed for engineering, physical science or economics, with calculus and proof at the centre, while Applications and Interpretation suits business, biology and social science with more statistics and technology. Both are offered at Higher and Standard Level, and both include an exploration worth one fifth of the mark.

Chemistry and Biology reward precision. Chemistry moves from quantitative work to organic mechanisms and energetics, so a weak start with moles shows up later. Biology marks follow command terms such as describe, compare and evaluate, and a student who reads each one carefully gains marks quickly.

For IGCSE, the Extended tier leaves the way open to IB Higher Level or A Level sciences, while Core fits a student who wants secure passes across a wide set of subjects. On Cambridge papers Core grades stop at C and Extended reaches A*, so the tier should be chosen early with the school and reviewed after the first mock.

IB and IGCSE tutors in Sojat match the tier and board to the student: Edexcel students work from Pearson papers, Cambridge students from Cambridge papers, and the tutor builds topic lists against the real specification.

Where we tutor

Sojat and nearby places where our online tutors reach students

With every lesson online, these places describe how a household's day runs, not how far a tutor would have to go. Sojat's old lanes, its market area and the towns along the railway each keep their own pattern of school runs, shop hours and summer power cuts.

Sojat city centre

Close to the bazaar and the hillock, where many trading households live and work, so evening tuition follows shop hours.

The fort hillock and old lanes

The older part of town below the hill fort with its reservoir and temples, home to families who have lived here for generations.

Sukri riverside

Neighbourhoods along the Sukri river, where monsoon downpours can disturb roads and power for short spells.

The henna market and mill belt

The market-yard and mill area where henna leaf is traded, dried and ground, so households here are tied to the trade's busy weeks.

Sojat Road

The railway station town on the Jaipur to Ahmedabad line, which links Sojat families with both cities.

Marwar Junction

A neighbouring tehsil town and railway junction, familiar with commuting by train for school and work.

Pali

The district headquarters and textile centre, where many families go for colleges, offices and hospitals.

Jaitaran

A neighbouring tehsil town whose students follow the same online route to international syllabuses.

Jodhpur

The nearest big city, where some families look for schools and entrance coaching.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Sojat

Sojat and Pali district

Schools in the area are not listed as IB World Schools or as Cambridge or Edexcel centres, so students work with a school elsewhere or study privately with online help.

    Nearby: Jodhpur

Jodhpur, roughly 75 km from Sojat in a straight line, is the closest big city and has a school confirmed for IB primary years and Cambridge IGCSE and A Level.

    • Bodhi International School, Jodhpur

    Nearby: Jaipur

Jaipur lies on the same railway line as Sojat Road and offers a broader set of international schools for boarding or relocation.

    • Sanskar School, Jaipur
    • Jayshree Periwal International School
    • Mayoor School Jaipur

    Nearby: Ahmedabad

At the other end of that line, Ahmedabad has the longest list of IB and Cambridge schools within easy rail reach.

    • Fountainhead School, Ahmedabad
    • Calorx Olive International School

Sojat and the rest of Pali district have no IB or Cambridge school that we could confirm, so none is named for the area. The schools under the nearby-city headings are context for families thinking about boarding or a move, and IB Gram has no tie to them, to the International Baccalaureate, to Cambridge or to Pearson. Ask each school directly about its current programmes and admissions.

    Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Sojat: your questions answered

Is there an IB or IGCSE school in Sojat?+

We could not confirm one in Sojat or in Pali district. The nearest confirmed school is in Jodhpur, and Jaipur and Ahmedabad have a wider choice. Should a confirmed school appear locally, we will check it and revise this page.

Will a tutor come to our home in Sojat?+

No. Face-to-face tuition exists only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. In Sojat the lesson is live over video, in a room you choose, with a shared whiteboard, so the focus of home tuition stays and no tutor has to make a journey.

How do we book the free trial lesson?+

Send an email to support@ibgram.com or a WhatsApp message to +91 7439 368 115 giving the class or programme, the subject, latest marks and some convenient times. Tutors matched to the course come back to you, and you choose one for a free lesson followed by a short written note.

What decides the fee for a Sojat student?+

The subject and level, how many lessons a week, the tutor's recent experience with the exact specification and how near the exam is. You receive a written quote before booking, and distance does not affect it because every lesson is online.

We run a henna business. Will an IB or IGCSE background help our child in it?+

Often, yes. IB Business Management, Economics, Chemistry and English, or IGCSE Accounting and Business Studies, give a child useful tools for running or growing an export business. The right mix depends on the child, and a tutor can advise on which subjects fit.

Can a tutor write the IA or Extended Essay?+

No. A tutor can explain the criteria, help narrow a question, read a plan and mark practice pieces, but whatever is submitted must be the student's own work. The IB and the exam boards require that, and we hold to it without exception.

    Which subjects can you cover?+

For the Diploma we teach both Maths courses, the three sciences, Economics, Business Management, Geography, English, Computer Science and Psychology, as well as Hindi A and Hindi B. IGCSE has the same range, plus Accounting. Something unusual? Ask first and we will check.

    Can lessons be in Hindi?+

Mostly in English, because the syllabuses and exams are in English, but Hindi is common among our tutors and they can explain a hard idea in Hindi when it helps. For Hindi A and Hindi B the language of study is Hindi itself.

How do heat and power cuts affect lessons?+

We reschedule. In the hottest weeks early-morning slots are the sensible choice, and the tutor can carry on by voice if video fails. A charged laptop and a phone hotspot help, and any lesson lost to an outage moves to another time.

    When should tutoring start?+

As early as the course begins: Class 9 for IGCSE and Class 11 for the Diploma. Joining ten to twelve weeks before a mock still helps, and the long summer break is a natural moment for a bridge course ahead of the new class.

Is it realistic to move from RBSE to IGCSE?+

Yes, if exam technique is taught early. The content is often familiar, but IGCSE papers reward method, command words and reasoning on new questions. Early lessons train those habits and help choose a tier, so the change feels like a new style, not a restart.

Can my child sit IGCSE privately from Sojat?+

Possibly. A private candidate needs an approved centre that accepts outside entries and must register months before the series. A tutor can plan the study timetable, but the family confirms the centre and entry dates with the board or the centre.

My child studies at a school in Jodhpur or Jaipur. Can you help in the holidays?+

Yes. The tutor follows the school's programme and tests, and lessons continue online whether the child is in a hostel or at home in Sojat. Intensive weeks at Diwali and in the summer break often make the biggest difference.

Can an IB or IGCSE student also prepare for JEE or NEET?+

Many do, but the workload is heavy. IB Higher Level and Extended IGCSE cover much of the core, yet some JEE and NEET topics lie outside those syllabuses. Plan the year carefully with the school, and let the tutor focus on the IB or IGCSE side.

    How are tutors vetted?+

We check qualifications, recent teaching of the exact subject and level, and how a tutor explains a live topic in a short demonstration. You see their background before choosing, and the free lesson shows their style directly.

Is IB Gram connected to any school or exam body?+

No. IB Gram is independent, with no tie to the schools named on this page, to the International Baccalaureate Organization, to Cambridge Assessment International Education or to Pearson Edexcel. Schools are mentioned only so Sojat families see an accurate local picture.
