IB and IGCSE Tutors and Private Tuition for Shahpura, Online

If you are in Shahpura and want IB or IGCSE tuition for a child at home, the working answer is a private tutor on video. IB Gram introduces a teacher who has already coached the exact subject, sets up a free first class, and runs one-to-one lessons from your child's own desk. Tutors never knock on a Shahpura door, because in-person home tuition is offered only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR.

  • Matching starts from your child's own course code and level
  • Everything runs online; no tutor visits Shahpura, as doorstep teaching exists only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR
  • A free trial class and rates in writing
  • A brief note after each lesson for parents

IB & IGCSE in Shahpura

How IB and IGCSE help reaches a town like Shahpura

Shahpura is a municipal town of about thirty thousand people in Bhilwara district, best known as the seat of the Ram Snehi sect's Ramdwara and for the Phooldol fair, which runs for five days after Holi. Classrooms here follow the Rajasthan Board or CBSE. Bhilwara, the district city famous for suiting fabric, and Ajmer beyond it supply most of the colleges that local families think about.

No school in Shahpura or Bhilwara that we could confirm teaches the IB, Cambridge IGCSE or Edexcel IGCSE. Whoever enquires about these courses is therefore not weighing local choices; something outside the town has pulled them in. It might be a relative abroad, a family business with an office in a metro, or a child who will join an international school after Class 10.

Our lesson is a screen-based conversation between two people. Both look at the same shared page, and the tutor stops at the first wrong step rather than the last. Since that tutor has handled the same course with other pupils, the explanation targets the slips students in this position typically make.

IB Gram stands apart from the IB, Cambridge, Pearson and every school. A tutor teaches, coaches and marks practice answers, but never produces an Internal Assessment, Extended Essay, TOK essay or other graded piece on a student's behalf.

At a glance

  • A live one-to-one class on a shared board
  • IB PYP, MYP, DP and CP, plus Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE
  • Tutors matched by syllabus, wherever they live
  • A free first class, then a written plan
  • Doorstep visits exist only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR, so Shahpura lessons are online
IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Shahpura school years

No school in Shahpura runs any of the four IB programmes, so each is described by what a local child should have in hand before meeting it.

PYPClass 1-5, ages 6-12

IB Primary Years Programme

Lessons revolve around open questions such as how communities organise themselves or how materials change, and the final year closes with an Exhibition. As nothing is formally tested, the useful work is steady reading, short paragraphs and the habit of asking why.

A Shahpura parent asking about PYP is typically preparing for a move to Jaipur, Delhi or overseas, and wants the child at ease in spoken English.

MYPClass 6-10, ages 11-16

IB Middle Years Programme

Every MYP subject is scored against criteria rather than a single paper, and the last year ends with a Personal Project. A child who has leaned on guidebook answers may find tasks with several valid responses the hardest part.

Pupils arriving from Rajasthan Board classes around Bhilwara tend to need extra practice with lab reports and with writing a reasoned paragraph.

DPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Diploma Programme

Students pick six subjects, half at Higher Level and half at Standard Level, and add Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS. Examination papers land mainly in May, though some schools sit in November.

A Diploma student with Shahpura roots is nearly always enrolled in another city, so weekly online lessons keep one stubborn subject from slipping.

CPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Career-related Programme

CP weaves at least two Diploma courses into a career-focused study and a reflective project. Only a few Indian schools run it, and the academic courses inside are as demanding as in the Diploma.

Questions about CP from this corner of Rajasthan are rare, and any support would centre on the Diploma courses in the student's chosen combination.

Subject coverage

IB subjects we tutor

A tutor suits a child only when they know the same course. For that reason the intake records the subject, the level and the variant, such as Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation, before anything about timing.

IB Maths Analysis & Approaches

HL / SL

Calculus and algebra with proof-minded problem solving, a base for engineering or physical science, with the exploration started early.

IB Maths Applications & Interpretation

HL / SL

Modelling, probability and calculator technique, better aligned with commerce and life-science ambitions.

IB Physics

HL / SL

Mechanics through fields and modern physics, rehearsing unfamiliar data questions and a method another person could repeat.

IB Chemistry

HL / SL

Structure and bonding, energetics and organic routes, with the data booklet part of daily practice.

IB Biology

HL / SL

Cells, genetics and ecology, reading each command term as an instruction on how to answer.

IB Economics

Diagrams that carry an argument, linked to events from the news and the local economy.

IB Business Management

HL / SL

Case answers that use the named firm, and a research project built on a real business, often a family one.

IB English A Language & Literature

HL / SL

Reading unseen texts closely, comparing works and preparing the spoken commentary.

IB Computer Science

HL / SL

Algorithms and systems theory, plus a documented program for the internal assessment.

IB Psychology

HL / SL

Named studies recalled accurately and judged within a clear argument.

IB Geography

HL / SL

Case-study knowledge, data response and a fieldwork investigation.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Shahpura school timetables

Every format below is a live, one-to-one video lesson with a tutor in India, and what separates them is pace. A visit to a Shahpura house is not available, because in-person tuition exists only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR.

Regular weekly classes

One or two lessons a week at a fixed hour with the same tutor, covering the course in order and circling back to weak topics.

  • A single tutor all term
  • Past-paper questions each class
  • Notes after every lesson
  • Easy to pause around Holi and the fair

Concentrated revision weeks

A denser run of lessons ahead of a mock or an exam series, aimed at the topics where marks still slip.

  • Timed questions, marked live
  • Plan agreed beforehand
  • Suited to private candidates
  • Ends with the exam

Private home tuition, delivered online

Parents who search for home tuition receive private lessons taught to the student at home through a screen. A tutor does not travel to Shahpura; visits are limited to Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR.

  • Laptop and a quiet room
  • Parent may attend the trial
  • Replacement tutor if the fit is off
  • Written quote before booking

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Shahpura

01

Does Shahpura have an IB or IGCSE school, and who asks about them?

None that we could confirm. Shahpura's schools, like those in Bhilwara, follow the Rajasthan Board or CBSE, and a family wanting an international syllabus has to think of a metro, a boarding school or private entry for IGCSE papers.

The people who ask have usually travelled in their heads already: a family in the textile trade with a buyer in the Gulf, a doctor whose elder child studies in Pune, a teacher who has watched a cousin move to Canada. They want to know what the syllabus involves and whether a child from a small Rajasthan town can cope.

The answer is yes, with preparation. A Class 9 student can start IGCSE-style Maths and Science a year before a planned move. A student already enrolled in an IB school but spending a year at home can keep a weekly class alive.

No local ecosystem for these syllabuses exists, so tutors are chosen nationally, by experience of the specification and by how the trial class goes.

School programmes change, so confirm any offering with the school itself.

02

How do Rajasthan Board and CBSE differ from IB and IGCSE?

Board papers reward thorough learning of prescribed chapters, and similar questions return year after year. IB and IGCSE reward using that learning in fresh settings: a graph the student has not met, a case with unfamiliar numbers, an essay asking for a judgement.

A strong Shahpura student can therefore feel slow in a first IGCSE paper. The knowledge is there, but the habit of laying out reasoning in sentences is not yet, and it can be trained.

Reporting differs too. Boards give marks and percentages, IGCSE gives grades A* to G and the Diploma gives points out of 45. Universities in India and abroad read each in their own way.

Neither is easier. A tutor's first job is to show how questions are put and what a complete answer looks like.

03

What shapes the cost of IB and IGCSE tuition in Shahpura?

  • Programme, level and subject
  • Tutor's experience with the specification
  • Number and length of sessions
  • No travel or hostel cost

No price is printed here, because a number without a subject would mislead. After you tell us the course, level and weekly plan, a written quote reaches you before you book.

Level and subject lead the list: HL Physics asks more of a tutor than Class 6 MYP Science. Session length and frequency come next, followed by the tutor's track record on the specification.

A Shahpura family dodges costs a city family cannot, such as the bus fare to Bhilwara, hostel rent in Ajmer or a centre fee. The quoted rate is the whole amount.

The free trial exists so that you can judge the value before paying.

04

Online tutor, Bhilwara coaching or self-study: which suits IB?

For IB and IGCSE, an online specialist usually serves a Shahpura student better, because the other routes are tuned to different exams. Coaching in Bhilwara and Ajmer prepares for board tests, JEE and NEET.

Self-study can work for a disciplined student, but marking one's own script is unreliable. Students are kind to themselves, and the same slip repeats.

A local tutor is convenient but seldom trained on IB or Cambridge mark schemes, whereas online widens the choice to the whole country.

The trade-off is a stable connection and power. Summer demand can strain both, so a backup is wise.

05

How do the Phooldol fair and the Shahpura calendar fit around exams?

Start with the national dates. IB papers fall mainly in May, with some schools sitting in November. Cambridge IGCSE runs February-March, May-June and October-November, and Edexcel runs January, May-June and October. A private candidate registers through an approved centre, probably in Jaipur or Udaipur.

Then place the town's year on top. Holi opens a crowded stretch because the Phooldol fair at the Ramdwara follows for five days, bringing pilgrims and suspending normal routines. Gangaur, Teej, Diwali and winter weddings add more breaks.

The weather adds a second layer. Afternoons in May and June pass forty degrees, so lessons move to mornings and evenings. Winters are mild and the July-August monsoon brings relief.

A sensible plan starts heavy revision ten weeks ahead of each paper and keeps the final fortnight for timed practice.

06

Where might a Shahpura IB or IGCSE student study next?

  • MNIT, Rajasthan University and the Central University of Rajasthan through entrance exams
  • AIU equivalence for the IB Diploma
  • CUET-UG for central universities
  • UK, Canada, Australia and US routes

Within Rajasthan, the usual options are in Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur and Kota, including Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Rajasthan University and the Central University of Rajasthan near Ajmer. Entry is mostly through JEE, NEET and CUET-UG, and IB students should read each year's notice before choosing subjects.

The Association of Indian Universities issues equivalence for the IB Diploma, which many institutions recognise, though each sets its own subject requirements and cut-offs.

Overseas, the picture is friendlier: UK universities use predicted grades, Canada and Australia publish conversion tables, and US colleges read the Diploma with test scores where required.

A tutor can strengthen the subjects a course needs; admission cannot be promised. The sensible moment to plan is before Class 11 subject selection.

07

A Shahpura week with an online tutor: what actually happens?

On a Tuesday evening, a Class 11 student opens a laptop in the room where the family keeps the study table. The tutor appears on screen from Pune or Bengaluru. The student shares the question that beat them last night, the tutor reads the working and halts at the exact line where it turned, and the pair rebuild that step.

Two similar problems follow, then a short timed one that is marked before the hour ends. The shared board is saved, and a few lines reach the parents by evening: what was covered, what went well, what to practise before Saturday.

In the sciences, the same rhythm applies, with extra time on the investigation: choosing variables, handling error, graphing and concluding. Data sets are shared on screen, so no apparatus is needed at home.

Rather than teach every topic twice, the tutor looks for the handful that cost the most marks and spends the weeks there.

08

Which IGCSE tier and subjects suit a Shahpura student?

Extended reaches the top grades and suits a student who may continue the subject at IB Higher Level or A Level, while Core suits one who wants a dependable pass. Schools usually decide; a private candidate chooses at entry.

Maths is the pivot. Extended Maths followed by Additional Maths leaves a student comfortable with calculus when a Diploma course begins. A student who finds algebra hard may do better to bank a clean Core result.

Subjects should follow the goal. Engineering points to Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science. Medicine points to Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Commerce, common among Rajasthan's trading families, points to Economics, Business Studies and Accounting.

Cambridge and Edexcel are both well accepted, and the tutor follows whichever specification the entry names.

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Shahpura

Shahpura and Bhilwara

We found no school in Shahpura or Bhilwara that we could confirm as teaching the IB or a Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE. Local schools follow CBSE or the Rajasthan Board, so an international syllabus means looking further afield.

    Nearby: Udaipur and Ajmer region

Udaipur and Ajmer both have well-known private and boarding schools. We could not confirm a current IB or Cambridge programme at a specific one, so families should ask each school directly.

      Nearby: Mumbai

Mumbai has some of the country's best-known international schools and a large Rajasthani business community. Admission, fees and programmes must be confirmed with the school.

      • Dhirubhai Ambani International School

School names appear only to describe what exists and where students go. IB Gram works independently and has no partnership, referral or endorsement relationship with any school, the IB, Cambridge or Pearson.

Chosen for the paper, not the label

The first question is which exam your child will sit, and the tutor follows from the answer.

      Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Shahpura: your questions answered

Is there an IB or IGCSE tutor in Shahpura?+

Nobody we could verify teaches these syllabuses in town, so the dependable route is a specialist on screen. A Shahpura student is paired with a teacher who has already coached their exact paper, and the two meet live on Indian time. The tutor might sit in Pune or Chennai; what matters is that they know the specification cold.

Can I get IB or IGCSE home tuition in Shahpura?+

Think of it as home tuition without the visitor. Your child studies in their own room at the usual desk, and the tutor arrives on a laptop screen with a shared digital board. Nobody travels to Shahpura, because physical home visits exist only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR.

How much does tuition cost in Shahpura?+

That depends on four things: the programme, the level, the subject and how experienced the tutor is. Higher Level Diploma Physics and Class 7 MYP Science would not be priced alike. A written quote comes before you commit, no petrol or bus fare is added, and the opening class costs nothing.

Which schools in Shahpura or Bhilwara teach IB or IGCSE?+

No school there could be confirmed as offering either. The district runs on CBSE and the Rajasthan Board. If a family wants an international qualification, the usual moves are to a metro school, a boarding school in another state, or private IGCSE entry with online coaching.

Can a student in Bhilwara district sit IGCSE privately?+

Yes, as a private candidate. The written papers happen at an authorised Cambridge or Pearson centre, most likely in Jaipur or Udaipur, while every lesson before them runs online. Because entry windows close well before each series, ring the centre first and ask about fees and dates.

Is the first lesson really free?+

It is, and it is a working class rather than a pitch. Your child brings a topic that has been difficult, and you see how the tutor explains it. Should the manner not suit, another tutor is offered; the trial is never invoiced either way.

Will a tutor write the Internal Assessment or Extended Essay?+

No, and this is a firm line. Tutors will unpack the marking criteria, talk a research question into shape, test a method and comment on a draft the student produced. Ghost-writing an IA, Extended Essay or TOK essay would put the candidate's result at risk, so it never happens.

Does language matter for Hindi or Rajasthani speakers?+

The exams are set in English, so the teaching is in English as well. Even so, a tutor can restate a tricky idea in Hindi if that unlocks it, provided you mention this in the brief. Students from Hindi and Rajasthani homes usually settle into spoken English within a term of weekly lessons.

What if power or the internet fails mid-class?+

Keep the laptop charged and a phone hotspot on standby, since summer demand and dust storms sometimes interrupt supply in Bhilwara district. Minutes lost are made up in a later slot, and the tutor still sends notes covering the part that happened.

Can a Rajasthan Board student move to IB or IGCSE?+

Many do. Subject content is rarely the obstacle; the way questions are worded and how long an answer must run are. The first weeks therefore go on command words such as justify, compare and evaluate, followed by real past questions marked against the official scheme.

      When should we begin?+

The cheapest time to fix a weakness is the start of the course: Class 9 for IGCSE, Class 11 for the Diploma. Beginning later is still worthwhile. A six to eight week block before a single paper can tighten technique noticeably.

      Which times suit Shahpura families?+

Most families choose weekday evenings or weekend mornings. In May and June the slots slide to cooler hours. Around Holi, the Phooldol fair and Diwali, dates are fixed in advance so that revision is not squeezed out.

      How will I follow my child's progress?+

Every lesson ends with a short message: what was taught, what went well, what to practise before the next class. Every few weeks a longer review sets progress against the grade your child is aiming for, and parents can sit in on the trial.

What if the tutor does not suit my child?+

Say so and a replacement is arranged at no cost. A pairing can fail on pace, accent or manner without anyone being at fault. There is no fixed term, so a family can also pause during exams and restart afterwards.

Is IB Gram connected to any school or exam board?+

No link exists. IB Gram operates on its own, and where the IB, Cambridge, Pearson or a school is named, it is to state a fact rather than imply approval. For a trial, write to support@ibgram.com or message +91 7439 368 115 on WhatsApp.
