IB and IGCSE Tutors and Online Home Tuition in Saidpur

Looking for private home tuition in Saidpur for a child on an international syllabus? The honest answer is that nobody in the tehsil teaches the IB Diploma or Cambridge Extended Maths, so the lesson travels instead of the teacher. IB and IGCSE tutors in Saidpur work over live video: one tutor, one student, a syllabus the tutor has actually taught, and a written note afterwards.

  • Live one-to-one video lessons with a tutor matched to your exact IB subject or Cambridge paper code
  • No tutor will arrive at your door in Saidpur: in-person home visits run only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR
  • A free trial lesson comes first, and the rate is put in writing before you book anything
  • IB Gram is independent of the IB, Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel and every school mentioned on this page

IB & IGCSE in Saidpur

An international syllabus in a Purvanchal tehsil town

Saidpur is the headquarters of a tehsil in Ghazipur district, in the eastern belt of Uttar Pradesh that people call Purvanchal. The Ganga bends past the district, Varanasi lies roughly sixty kilometres to the west, and Ghazipur city, the district seat, is the place most families go to for a bigger market, a hospital or a government office. Nearby Bhitari carries the stone pillar associated with the Gupta emperor Skandagupta, a reminder that this ground has been settled for a very long time.

School life here follows the UP Board and CBSE, with a scatter of private English-medium schools in the tehsil and the district seat. We could not confirm an IB World School or a Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE centre in Saidpur or Ghazipur district, and we would rather say so than invent one. Anyone wanting a classroom with the IB Diploma has to look at Lucknow, Delhi NCR or a boarding campus farther away.

Who then asks about IB and IGCSE tuition from this part of Uttar Pradesh? Mostly families with a link outside the district: a father in the army or a Gulf job, an uncle who settled in Canada, a child already studying in Delhi or Dehradun who comes home for Chhath and wants study help during the stay. A few parents simply want to stretch a capable Class 8 student beyond what a state-board textbook asks.

So IB and IGCSE tutors in Saidpur teach online. A tutor who has coached IB Physics HL last term does not live in the tehsil and does not need to. Your child takes a private lesson at home on a laptop, the tutor shares a whiteboard and a past paper, and a written note reaches you afterwards. To be plain about home tuition: tutors do not visit homes in Saidpur, since home visits are available only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR.

At a glance

  • Private tuition from home for Saidpur, Bhitari, Zamania and Ghazipur-side families, taught live online
  • IB PYP, MYP, DP and CP, plus Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE by paper code
  • Lessons placed around Ganga floods, winter fog and festival weeks
  • Tutors coach; they never write an IA, Extended Essay or TOK essay for a student
  • Online only here, and no visits to your house
IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Saidpur school years

Because no Saidpur school offers an IB programme that we could verify, every stage reaches a family from outside: a transfer, a boarding place, or a deliberate plan to prepare early for study abroad. This is how each programme usually appears in a Saidpur household.

PYPClass Nursery-5, ages 3-12

IB Primary Years Programme

Young children explore transdisciplinary themes through inquiry, and the programme closes with a Exhibition project in the final year. A tutor mainly protects reading fluency, handwriting and number sense so that the child keeps pace with whatever school is found next.

In Saidpur, PYP requests come from families returning from a posting or from abroad, who want the child's earlier school routine kept alive until a new admission is settled.

MYPClass 6-10, ages 11-16

IB Middle Years Programme

Subjects are marked against published criteria rather than a single exam score, and the Personal Project ends the programme. The jump for most Indian-board children is writing out reasons in full sentences, which has to be practised.

A Saidpur MYP student is typically a child in a Varanasi or Lucknow hostel, home for a fortnight and in need of focused help in Sciences or Language and Literature.

DPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Diploma Programme

Six subjects, three or four at Higher Level, together with Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS. Grades combine internal assessment with written papers sat in the May or November session.

Diploma students from this tehsil are enrolled elsewhere, usually in another state, and add home-based tutoring in the holidays or on weekday evenings through the term.

CPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Career-related Programme

Students take a smaller group of Diploma courses beside a career-related study and a reflective project. Very few Indian campuses run it, so tutoring tends to concentrate on the one or two academic courses.

We have seen little CP demand from Ghazipur district; where it arises we help with the Diploma courses and leave the vocational component to the school.

Subject coverage

IB subjects we tutor

A Class 12 student revising IB Chemistry between Chhath rituals and a Class 8 child adding Cambridge Maths to a UP Board timetable need different things, so we ask for subject, level and the next exam sitting before suggesting a tutor.

IB Maths Analysis & Approaches

HL / SL

Calculus, functions, vectors and proof for would-be engineers. Students from a Hindi-medium background compute well but need drill in laying out an argument line by line.

IB Maths Applications & Interpretation

HL / SL

Statistics, modelling and calculator work, suited to future economists, managers and social scientists.

IB Physics

HL / SL

Mechanics through quantum ideas, with a focus on units, uncertainty and the data booklet, where most careless marks disappear.

IB Chemistry

HL / SL

Stoichiometry will feel familiar; energetics, equilibrium and organic mechanisms need a patient, step-by-step approach.

IB Biology

HL / SL

Cell biology, genetics and ecology. River-basin ecosystems around the Ganga supply honest examples for the internal investigation.

IB Environmental Systems and Societies

SL

Floodplain management, groundwater and agriculture on the Gangetic plain make strong local case studies.

IB Economics

HL / SL

Markets, development and trade, with plenty of material on rural India, remittances and agricultural policy.

IB Business Management

HL / SL

Strategy, finance and operations for children from trading and family-business backgrounds in the district.

IB Computer Science

HL / SL

Programming, networks and the HL case study, a subject that rewards daily practice on a real keyboard.

IB English A: Language and Literature

HL / SL

Textual analysis and comparative essays, built through timed writing and line-by-line feedback.

IB Hindi B

HL / SL

A comfortable language option for Hindi-speaking students, trained on writing tasks and the oral.

IB History

HL / SL

Source analysis and essay structure, a natural fit for a region where the Gupta, Sultanate and Company periods are on the doorstep.

IB Geography

HL / SL

Fieldwork-style internal assessment, with Ganga floods, migration and river engineering as workable themes.

IGCSE coverage

IGCSE subjects we tutor

No school in Saidpur is confirmed for Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE, so students here usually study at a boarding campus, sit as private candidates or add IGCSE depth to a CBSE timetable. Each plan begins with the paper code.

IGCSE Mathematics 0580

Core / Extended

Extended practice builds algebra, trigonometry and probability, with marks for clear method as well as the final answer.

IGCSE Additional Mathematics 0606

Grade 10

Differentiation, functions and vectors, a useful bridge for a student planning IB Maths AA or A Level.

IGCSE Physics 0625

Core / Extended

Forces, circuits and waves, with weekly practice on the alternative-to-practical paper.

IGCSE Chemistry 0620

Core / Extended

Mole calculations, bonding and organic chemistry, along with the recall of standard test results.

IGCSE Biology 0610

Core / Extended

Human physiology, inheritance and ecosystems, with river and farmland examples where they fit.

IGCSE Geography 0460

Grade 9-10

Rivers, flooding and population topics map neatly onto the Gangetic plain.

IGCSE Economics 0455

Grade 9-10

Demand, supply and development, with graphs and short written evaluations.

IGCSE Computer Science 0478

Grade 9-10

Python and pseudocode, tested on paper as well as at the keyboard.

IGCSE English First Language 0500

Grade 9-10

Directed writing, narrative and summary under timed conditions.

IGCSE Hindi as a Second Language 0549

Grade 9-10

Reading, writing and speaking for students who want a second language alongside English.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Saidpur school timetables

Whatever the plan, a Saidpur lesson runs on live video between one tutor and one student. Variety comes from how often it meets and what surrounds it.

Weekday evening lessons

One or two fixed evenings a week, after school and before the late meal, to follow what the school is teaching.

  • Tutor chosen for the exact syllabus, not for location
  • Works for PYP through the Diploma and for IGCSE
  • Past papers marked live, alongside the student
  • One tutor kept through the term

Weekly lessons plus a written record

The same lessons, with a short note after each one and a proper review call every few weeks for parents.

  • A note covering topics, homework and the next steps
  • Useful when a parent is working away from Saidpur
  • A second weekly slot can be added before mocks
  • Progress is visible on paper, not just in conversation

Chhath and Dussehra holiday blocks

Concentrated daily sessions for boarders and out-of-town students during the weeks they are home.

  • Timed papers with immediate feedback
  • Best booked a few weeks before the break begins
  • Short morning and evening sessions around family rituals
  • Flexible when floods or fog disturb travel

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Saidpur

01

Who looks for IB and IGCSE tutors in Saidpur, and why?

Demand from a tehsil like this is small but specific, and it helps to know who it comes from. The first group is the outward-looking family: someone is abroad, in the Gulf or in a metro city, and the child is expected to follow. An international qualification travels well, so the parents begin preparing years in advance.

The second group is families linked to the armed forces and central services. Gahmar, a few kilometres from the district seat, is well known for its serving soldiers, and such households are used to postings that change the child's school every two or three years. A syllabus that stays the same across campuses is attractive to them.

The third group is the hostel student. A Saidpur child may be enrolled in a Lucknow, Delhi or Dehradun school and come home during holidays, expecting help to continue at home rather than starting again with a stranger in the new city.

Finally there are ambitious state-board families who want to know whether Cambridge-style Maths and Science could lift a child who is already doing well. For them, IGCSE is a safe test: low commitment, clear papers, and an early sense of how far the child can stretch.

02

Is it easier to move from UP Board or CBSE into IGCSE, or into the IB?

For most students, IGCSE in Class 9 is the gentler step and the IB Diploma in Class 11 is a bigger one. The UP Board trains students to recall prescribed chapters, and CBSE leans on NCERT concepts; IGCSE keeps the idea of a syllabus to master, but with questions that reward explanation. The Diploma then asks for research, extended writing and a second language all at once.

A Saidpur student coming from Hindi-medium instruction has a particular challenge. Scientific English, command words such as evaluate and justify, and laboratory vocabulary all have to be built up. It usually takes two or three terms of guided writing before the student writes at length with confidence.

None of this makes the home board a poor foundation. Students who have memorised well often have an excellent base of facts. The tutor's role is to redirect that effort into the forms of answer the new exam wants.

The table summarises how the main routes differ for a student starting from Ghazipur district.

03

What shapes the cost of IB or IGCSE tutoring for a Saidpur family?

There is no price list on this page, on purpose. A rate is agreed in writing before the trial lesson, and the trial itself costs nothing. Four things move it: the subject, the level, the length of each session and how much teaching and marking history the tutor has behind them.

A Higher Level Diploma science takes longer to prepare and fewer tutors have taught it recently, so it generally costs more than primary-year reading support. A tutor who has examined for the IB or taught Cambridge Extended tier for many years normally charges more than someone newly qualified, and a long weekly commitment may change the arrangement.

The comparison most Saidpur parents should make is with the hidden costs of the alternative. Putting a child in a hostel in Lucknow or Delhi for extra coaching adds rent, food and train fares, and takes the child away from home during a vulnerable year. A weekly online lesson avoids all of that.

To get a quotation, message us on WhatsApp with the board or programme, the subject, the level and how many lessons a week you want, and we will reply with a clear figure in writing.

04

How does online tuition compare with coaching, a local teacher or studying alone?

Ghazipur and Varanasi both have large coaching markets, but they are built for UP Board, JEE, NEET and government exam preparation. We know of none that teaches IB Analysis and Approaches or Cambridge 0580 Extended, and we would not want a parent to assume otherwise without asking.

A good local teacher may know general Maths superbly and yet never have seen an IB internal assessment rubric. Self-study with past papers works for a very disciplined student, but nobody marks the written answers, and that is where IB and IGCSE grades are won or lost.

An online one-to-one tutor sits between these: a specialist in the exact course, free at a time you choose, focusing on one child. The price of that fit is the need for a steady connection and a quiet corner at home.

The table lays the options side by side.

05

How do floods, fog and festivals shape the year in Saidpur?

The IB Diploma exams fall in May and November. Cambridge IGCSE runs in February-March, May-June and October-November, and Pearson Edexcel in January, May-June and October-November. Private candidates must settle an exam centre and entry deadline well before the session, which in practice means starting the conversation at least six months ahead.

The seasons of the Gangetic plain push on this calendar. May and June bring severe heat and power cuts, July to September brings monsoon rain and, in some years, river rise that cuts roads in low-lying parts of the district. December and January bring dense fog that delays trains and keeps schools closed or starting late.

Then comes the festival rhythm. Dussehra and Diwali take up much of October and November, and Chhath is a major family event in Purvanchal, with relatives returning home from other cities. For the hostel student that is both a chance to study at home and a distraction.

The table below sets out how a year might be planned.

A study year for a Saidpur student
MonthsWeather and local lifeStudy suggestion
January to FebruaryDense fog, cold mornings, Cambridge February-March series approachingEvening lessons only; keep mock papers moving
March to MayRising heat, board exams, IB May sessionEarly-morning or late-evening slots; intensive revision weeks
June to SeptemberHeat, then monsoon and possible river flooding, school reopensKeep a spare weekly slot for power or connection failures
October to DecemberDussehra, Diwali, Chhath, IB November session and Cambridge or Edexcel October-November seriesHoliday blocks for boarders, then calm lessons before mocks
06

Where can a Saidpur student go after IB or IGCSE?

  • Request AIU equivalence early if an Indian university is on the list
  • JEE, NEET and CUET need their own preparation on the Indian syllabus
  • Overseas applications use predicted IB grades or IGCSE results
  • Hostel and visa timelines should be mapped a year before the move

Within Uttar Pradesh, Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi is the nearest large institution, and the state also has many private universities. IB and Cambridge graduates apply to Indian universities after the Association of Indian Universities issues an equivalence certificate, so that paperwork should be started early.

For national tests, IB and IGCSE students can sit JEE Main, NEET-UG and CUET-UG where the subject and eligibility rules are met. The syllabi follow Indian boards, so a student who wants a seat in an IIT, NIT or medical college needs separate preparation in addition to the IB or IGCSE programme.

Overseas applications use predicted and final IB grades or IGCSE results in the usual way. Students from this belt mostly look at the UK, Canada, Australia and the Gulf, often because a relative lives there. Language of instruction is English everywhere in that list, so early practice in extended writing pays off.

Some families plan the other direction. They want a child to study business, engineering or medicine abroad, and then come back to work in Lucknow, Delhi or Patna.

07

Which IB Maths and Science options should a Ghazipur-district student choose?

Analysis and Approaches is the course for a student who enjoys algebra, calculus and proof, and who is thinking of engineering, physics or pure mathematics. Applications and Interpretation is built around data, modelling and technology, and fits economics, business, psychology or medicine-related study. Each comes at Standard and Higher Level.

A medical aspirant should look at Biology HL and Chemistry HL together, ideally with Maths Applications. An engineer would more naturally choose Physics HL, Maths AA HL and Chemistry or Computer Science. A student who has no fixed plan can keep several futures alive with a balanced mix such as Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Maths Applications.

Whichever choice is made, tutoring runs from past papers. A good session ends with a timed question that the student attempts alone, and the next session begins by marking it.

Many Saidpur students also need to fit Hindi or another language into the six, and Hindi B is a sensible and well-tested option.

08

IGCSE Core or Extended, Cambridge or Edexcel: how should a family decide?

In Mathematics, the sciences and some other subjects, Cambridge sets a Core tier with a lower grade ceiling and an Extended tier that reaches the top grades. A student who may go on to A Level or the IB Diploma should usually sit Extended. Core is reasonable for a child who wants a sound foundation without the extra pressure.

A normal IGCSE package has six or seven subjects: English, Maths, two sciences, a language and a couple of electives such as Geography, Economics or Computer Science. Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel differ in paper structure and in how coursework counts, so the board must be fixed before tutoring starts.

Private candidates should also check which centres accept outside entries in their region, since not every city has one. We can help you read the requirements but cannot register the entry on your behalf.

The free first lesson doubles as a diagnostic, and the result usually makes the Core or Extended choice obvious.

Where we tutor

Saidpur and nearby areas we teach online

Lessons take place on video, so these places are context rather than meeting points: they show which school catchment a family sits in, how the evening internet behaves and how far the nearest city with an international campus really is.

Saidpur town

The tehsil seat, with a busy market, government offices and a cluster of private schools where UP Board and CBSE families live.

Bhitari

The village known for the Skandagupta pillar, sitting close to the tehsil and home to farming families who send some children to town schools.

Ghazipur city

The district headquarters, around 25 to 30 kilometres away, where most coaching and the larger schools are found.

Zamania

A neighbouring tehsil town on the Ghazipur-Buxar side, with a market culture and a steady flow of students towards Varanasi.

Jakhania

A tehsil in the district whose students often travel to Ghazipur or Varanasi for coaching and higher study.

Mohammadabad

A larger town in the district, from where families commonly look at Ghazipur and Varanasi for secondary schooling.

Gahmar

A big village on the river known for the number of its men serving in the armed forces, a community that moves often and values portable qualifications.

Dildarnagar

A railway junction town on the Grand Chord line, handy for families who travel to Delhi, Kolkata and Patna.

Varanasi outskirts

About 60 km to the west; the nearest large city for hospitals, universities such as BHU and a wider choice of schools.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Saidpur

Nearby: Lucknow

The state capital, several hours away by road or rail, and the closest big city with confirmed Cambridge and IB-linked campuses. Local options in Saidpur itself are limited, so some families plan a hostel stay.

  • Modern School, Lucknow
  • City Montessori School, Cambridge Campus
  • DPS Gomti Nagar Jr
  • GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow

Nearby: Dehradun and the Uttarakhand boarding belt

A long journey, but a traditional destination for Uttar Pradesh families who want a residential school with a full international curriculum.

  • Woodstock School, Mussoorie

Nearby: Delhi NCR

The most common move for a Diploma-aged student from eastern Uttar Pradesh, reachable by direct trains from Varanasi and Ghazipur.

  • The British School, New Delhi
  • Pathways World School, Gurugram

No IB World School or Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE centre could be confirmed in Saidpur or Ghazipur district, so the school strip is left empty. The campuses listed below are in other cities and are shown only so families can see where physical options sit. IB Gram is independent of all of them and of the IB, Cambridge and Pearson.

How matching works

From first enquiry to a tutor who fits

  1. 01

    Write to us

Tell us the board, the subjects, where your child stands today and which evenings the house is usually quiet.

  2. 02

    Meet a proposed tutor

We put forward one or two people whose teaching history matches the course, with a few lines on each.

  3. 03

    Sit a no-cost trial

Your child works through a live lesson on a genuine topic while you watch or stay nearby.

  4. 04

    Fix a first month

The tutor sketches topics and papers for four weeks, and nothing starts until you are happy with it.

  5. 05

    Keep a steady rhythm

Same slot each week, a short write-up after every session, and a swap of tutor if it is not working.

Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Saidpur: your questions answered

How do I find an IB tutor in Saidpur?+

Write to us with the programme, subject, level and exam session, and we will propose a tutor who has taught that exact course. Because nothing in Saidpur offers the IB, the search covers all of India. Expect a shortlist, a free trial lesson and a written plan, with sessions placed in the evening hours your household prefers.

Will a tutor come to my house in Saidpur?+

No, tutors do not come to houses in Saidpur or anywhere else in Ghazipur district. Visits in person are limited to Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. Here the one-to-one lesson happens online, with your child at home on a laptop or tablet, and the tutor attends to that single student for the hour.

Do you offer IGCSE tutoring for Saidpur students?+

Yes, we teach Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE online. Tutors are matched by paper code and tier, such as 0580 Extended Mathematics or 0625 Physics. Our students include hostel residents, families about to move, and private candidates. Lesson one works as a diagnostic, so the plan starts from the child's real level.

How much does IB or IGCSE tuition cost for Saidpur families?+

Rates differ by subject, level, lesson length and tutor background, and we state the figure in writing before your free trial. There is no public price list. Higher Level Diploma courses usually cost more than primary-year support. Online teaching also removes the hostel rent and train fares that studying in a distant city would add.

Is there an IB or IGCSE school in Saidpur?+

We could not confirm one in the tehsil or elsewhere in Ghazipur district. Local schools follow the UP Board or CBSE. The nearest confirmed Cambridge and IB-linked campuses are in Lucknow and Delhi NCR. Should a school here have been authorised recently, let us know and we will check the official listing before editing this page.

My child is at a hostel elsewhere. Can you help during holidays?+

Yes, and this is a common arrangement. We build a compact block for the weeks your child is home, often around Chhath, Dussehra or the summer break, mixing topic recap with timed papers. As lessons are online, the same tutor can carry on once your child is back at the hostel.

Can we try a lesson before committing?+

Yes. The first lesson is free and uses a real topic from your child's course. The tutor then sends a short outline for the next month and you choose whether to go on. A poor fit leads to a different tutor, and the rate is already in writing so that cost never surprises you.

Will a tutor write my child's IA or Extended Essay?+

No, never. Tutors do not write an Internal Assessment, Extended Essay, TOK essay or any coursework. What they can do is unpack the criteria, help sharpen a research question, discuss method and comment on drafts the student has written. The work stays the student's own, protecting the result and the student's record with the examiners.

Which IB Diploma subjects can you cover?+

Maths AA and AI at both levels, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Systems and Societies, Economics, Business Management, Computer Science, History, Geography, English A and Hindi B are the usual requests. For anything else, ask us first, and we will tell you honestly whether a suitable tutor is free before the trial.

Do you help with MYP and PYP?+

Yes. For MYP we work on criteria-based tasks in Sciences, Maths and Language, and on the process journal for the Personal Project. For PYP the focus is steady reading, writing and number work alongside unit topics. Shorter sessions suit younger children, ideally with a parent in the next room at first.

Is online tuition enough in a town like Saidpur?+

It is the realistic route, since no local specialist teaches these syllabuses. A shared whiteboard, papers marked live and a written note after each lesson give a child most of what a classroom would. What you need is a dependable connection, plus a hotspot and a charged device for evenings when the electricity goes.

What if fog, floods or a power cut interrupts a lesson?+

Message us as soon as you know and the tutor will normally shift the session to the next day. During the monsoon and the winter fog months we suggest holding one spare weekly slot. Where the tutor agrees, a recording can be shared so the missed material is not lost.

How are tutors checked?+

We look at qualifications, recent classroom or online teaching in the very subject and level, and how the person handles mark schemes and criteria. A short demonstration lesson comes before selection. The free trial is the final test, since your child experiences the teaching directly, and an unsuitable match is replaced.

When should a Saidpur student start IB or IGCSE preparation?+

Earlier is easier: Class 11 for the Diploma, Class 9 for IGCSE and Class 7 or 8 for MYP. Starting ahead gives time to repair gaps before internal assessments and mock exams. A late start can still work with a concentrated block of lessons, provided you name the exam date in your first message.

Can you teach Hindi for the IB or IGCSE?+

Yes. Hindi B is taught at Standard and Higher Level for the IB, and Hindi as a second language for IGCSE is available too. Tell us the level and session you are aiming at and we will confirm that a suitable tutor has room before the trial lesson is booked.

Is IB Gram connected to a school or examining board?+

No. IB Gram runs independently and has no tie, endorsement or payment arrangement with the IB, Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel or any school mentioned here. Schools are named solely so families can see where campuses exist, and each name is checked against public sources.

How do I get started?+

Email support@ibgram.com or WhatsApp +91 7439 368 115 with the programme, subject, level, latest grade and the hours that suit you. Your child needs a laptop or tablet with camera and microphone, and a stable connection. A reply with a shortlist and trial times normally arrives within a working day.

Tell us your child's subject, level and exam date and we will look for a tutor who has taught that course. The first lesson costs nothing, the rate is set down in writing before you decide, and no one needs to leave Saidpur to learn from a specialist.
