IB and IGCSE Tutors and Online Home Tuition in Rudrapur, Uttar Pradesh

This page is for Rudrapur in Deoria district, Uttar Pradesh, the nagar panchayat east of Gorakhpur, and not for Rudrapur in Uttarakhand, which has a page of its own. Private tuition from home is possible here only in one form: a live one-to-one lesson on a laptop, with a tutor who may be sitting in Pune, Kochi or Chandigarh and who is matched to your child's exact IB or IGCSE subject.

  • Tutors are matched on your child's IB subject and level or Cambridge syllabus code, not on a vague subject name
  • Every class is live online; tutors do not come to houses in Rudrapur, because that service exists only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR
  • A free trial lesson comes first, so you see the teaching before agreeing to anything
  • IB Gram is independent and has no link with any Deoria school, coaching centre, the IB, Cambridge or Pearson

IB & IGCSE in Rudrapur

Starting IB or IGCSE tuition from Rudrapur in Deoria district

Rudrapur is a small nagar panchayat in Deoria district, in the Purvanchal part of Uttar Pradesh, with a population a little over 34,000 at the 2011 census. Because the name is shared with a far better known city in Uttarakhand, searches mix the two up, so to be plain: everything here concerns the Deoria town. The schools around it follow the UP Board or, increasingly, CBSE. We could not confirm any school in or near the town that teaches the IB or Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE, and we would rather say that than name one.

Families who still ask about these curricula are a mixed group. Some have a child boarding at a school in another state and want holiday support. Some have a father, uncle or elder brother working in a Gulf country, Mumbai or the Delhi region, and are thinking about moving the children there. Others simply read that international qualifications travel well and want to understand what a switch from the UP Board would really demand before committing a year of fees.

For all of them the useful thing is the same. A one-to-one lesson on a laptop, with a tutor chosen for the exact course, does not care whether the student lives in Rudrapur or in a metro. Tutors home tuition-style visits are not offered here; that arrangement exists only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. What Rudrapur gets is online private tuition from home, which is also the reason the shortlist can come from the whole country.

A note on boundaries. IB Gram is an independent tutoring service and not connected to the IB Organization, Cambridge Assessment International Education, Pearson Edexcel or any school in Deoria or Gorakhpur. Tutors coach and explain, they mark practice papers and give feedback, but the Internal Assessments, Extended Essay, TOK essay and coursework a student submits are always written by the student alone.

IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Rudrapur school years

None of the four IB programmes is taught in Rudrapur, so each one reaches a family from a different direction: a boarding school elsewhere, a posting that moves the household, or a deliberate decision to leave the UP Board before Class 9. Here is what a tutor actually does at each stage for a student whose home is in Deoria district.

PYPClass Nursery-5, ages 3-12

IB Primary Years Programme

A PYP classroom is organised around six transdisciplinary themes rather than separate subject periods, and the last year ends with the Exhibition, a collaborative inquiry shown to parents. There are no board exams, so tutoring is mostly about confidence: fluent reading, secure number sense and the habit of asking a good question and then looking for the answer in more than one place.

In Rudrapur, PYP enquiries almost always come from a family about to join a relative in a metro or abroad, where the child will enter a PYP school mid-year and needs the reading and writing pace to match.

MYPClass 6-10, ages 11-16

IB Middle Years Programme

MYP replaces a single percentage with criterion grades in each subject, and asks students to apply what they learn to a real context. Many also complete the Personal Project in the final year. A child coming from a UP Board background usually has the knowledge but loses marks by describing when the task asked for explanation or evaluation, and that is what lessons repair.

A Rudrapur student who meets MYP does so away from home, so tutoring tends to cluster in the long Dussehra, Diwali and summer breaks, when a returning boarder can finally work through criterion feedback without a hostel timetable.

DPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Diploma Programme

The Diploma asks for six subjects, three at Higher Level and three at Standard, with an Internal Assessment in most of them, plus Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and the CAS record. Papers are sat in May or November, and the final grade out of 45 is what universities and the Association of Indian Universities look at when they compare it with Indian board results.

Because no Diploma school exists in Deoria district, students here meet the DP at a boarding school or after a family move, and the tutor's timetable has to follow that faraway school's term dates rather than anything in Rudrapur.

CPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Career-related Programme

The Career-related Programme pairs two or three Diploma courses with a career-related study and a reflective project, for students who want a practical route to higher education or work. It is offered by only a few Indian schools, and the Diploma courses inside it are taught at full Diploma depth, so the academic support looks very much like DP tutoring.

CP is rarely asked about from Rudrapur. When it is, the family has usually already chosen a school elsewhere, and the tutor simply concentrates on the Diploma subjects the student has been given.

Subject coverage

IB subjects we tutor

A Rudrapur request rarely starts with the word IB. It starts with something like 'Chemistry HL, organic reactions, exam in May' or 'Maths for a boy joining Class 9 at an IGCSE school in January'. We take the subject, level and exam date first, and only then look at who can teach it and at what time of day the family can manage a stable connection.

IB Maths Analysis & Approaches

HL / SL

The course for students who like algebra, calculus and proof. HL students need patient work on Paper 3 problem solving, and everyone needs an exploration topic settled well before the deadline.

IB Maths Applications & Interpretation

HL / SL

Built around modelling, statistics and technology. Students from a UP Board background often underestimate how much of the mark depends on using the graphic display calculator fluently and explaining the result in words.

IB Physics

HL / SL

Mechanics and waves are familiar territory after CBSE or UP Board Class 11, but the unfamiliar part is data handling and the way Paper 2 chains small steps into one long question.

IB Chemistry

HL / SL

Stoichiometry and equilibrium reward practice, and organic chemistry rewards a clear map of reaction pathways drawn by the student, not copied from a tutor's page.

IB Biology

HL / SL

Large volume, with ecology, genetics and physiology each needing different habits. Lessons concentrate on command terms, diagram labelling and the statistics the Internal Assessment quietly requires.

IB Economics

HL / SL

Diagrams are the entry fee; the real marks sit in evaluation. Lessons build the habit of weighing a policy against its cost, time lag and who actually gains.

IB Business Management

HL / SL

Case-study driven, so practice uses past stimulus material, and the HL internal research project needs one real organisation the student can study.

IB English A Language & Literature

HL / SL

Paper 1 textual analysis and the Paper 2 comparative essay are skills of practice. Students whose first language is Bhojpuri or Hindi often gain most from timed writing with detailed feedback.

IB Hindi A Literature

HL / SL

A natural option for a student whose home language is Hindi, with close reading of set works and a structured comparative essay that differs from the board-style answers they know.

IB Computer Science

HL / SL

Algorithms, networks and databases on paper, plus a working program for the internal project. Lessons split time between reasoning and actually running code.

IB Psychology

HL / SL

Requires accurate study references and the discipline of structuring long responses. The experimental design and data analysis tasks are practised with a school-style rubric.

IB Environmental Systems & Societies

SL / HL

A river-basin and floodplain student has a real advantage in sustainability and water systems examples, if taught to evaluate rather than only describe them.

IB Geography

HL / SL

Case studies need place, date and a figure. Fieldwork for the internal assessment is planned with the student's school and checked for method.

IB History

HL / SL

Source evaluation and essay structure are the whole game, and an essay plan takes shape quicker with a second reader who asks awkward questions.

IGCSE coverage

IGCSE subjects we tutor

For Rudrapur students the IGCSE is usually met at an affiliated school elsewhere, or considered before a Class 9 move from the UP Board. Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel both publish syllabus codes and tiers, so we begin with the code printed on the school's list and the tier, Core or Extended, the student will actually sit.

IGCSE Mathematics 0580

Core / Extended

Extended students need speed on non-calculator algebra and a clear method for multi-step problems; Core students benefit from learning which marks are available for method even when the answer is wrong.

IGCSE Additional Mathematics 0606

Grade 10

Brings in calculus, functions and trigonometric identities early. It makes the step to IB Maths AA noticeably smoother when it is learned properly.

IGCSE Physics 0625

Core / Extended

Equation rearrangement and unit discipline carry most of the weight, and the alternative-to-practical paper is practised as a skill of its own.

IGCSE Chemistry 0620

Core / Extended

Moles, electrolysis and organic basics are built up with worked examples, and the practical paper gets dedicated sessions rather than a last-week rush.

IGCSE Biology 0610

Core / Extended

Extended-response questions on genetics and homeostasis separate grades; lessons train students to answer in the number of marks asked for.

IGCSE Economics 0455

Grade 9-10

Definitions and diagrams are the base. Students from a Hindi-medium background are helped to turn a half-understood idea into a clear English paragraph.

IGCSE Computer Science 0478

Grade 9-10

Pseudocode and Python are both examined, so lessons alternate between thinking on paper and running programs.

IGCSE English First Language 0500

Grade 9-10

Directed writing, narrative and summary, practised under time. Reading beyond the textbook is the best predictor of progress and is built into the weekly plan.

IGCSE Hindi as a Second Language 0549

Grade 9-10

A comfortable subject for most Rudrapur students, where tutoring focuses on the exam's writing formats and on reading comprehension speed.

IGCSE Business Studies 0450

Grade 9-10

Applying a concept to the business in the question is the skill; lessons work through many short case scenarios.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Rudrapur school timetables

Online lessons in Rudrapur come in three patterns. They use the same tools, a shared whiteboard and a live video call, but they differ in how often the tutor and student meet and how closely the work follows an exam deadline or a boarding school's terms.

A fixed weekly lesson

One tutor, one student, the same hour each week, usually after school or on a Sunday morning. It is the steadiest pattern and the one most families keep for a full year.

  • Matching is by subject and level, wherever the tutor lives in India
  • Works for IB DP, MYP or IGCSE material
  • Practice questions are done live and marked together
  • The same tutor continues from week to week

Weekly lessons with written progress notes

The same weekly hour, with a short written note after each session and a longer review every few weeks, so that parents who are not familiar with IB or Cambridge language can still follow progress.

  • A note after every class says what was covered and what comes next
  • A review adjusts the plan when something is not working
  • Suits younger PYP and MYP students who need a gentler pace
  • Extra slots before mock exams can be added with one message

An exam-season push

More frequent lessons in the six to eight weeks before a May or November session, built around timed papers and quick feedback, and arranged around power cuts, flood-season roads and festival weeks.

  • Papers are timed and marked against the real mark scheme
  • Feedback arrives within days
  • Planned around Chhath, Dussehra and Diwali
  • Best agreed at least two weeks before a boarding term ends

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Rudrapur

01

IB and IGCSE schools and families connected to Rudrapur

  • No IB or IGCSE school was confirmed in Deoria district
  • Enquiries come from boarding families, relocating families and curious UP Board parents
  • Online matching removes distance as a limit on tutor quality
  • The exam papers and marking standards are identical wherever a student sits them

Start with what is not here. Deoria district has government schools, UP Board aided schools and a growing number of private CBSE schools, and Gorakhpur, about two hours away, adds more. We could not confirm a single campus in this part of Purvanchal that is an IB World School or a Cambridge or Edexcel centre. Pretending otherwise would waste a family's time, so the page says it once and moves on.

The families who contact an IB and IGCSE tutoring service from a place like Rudrapur have usually met the curriculum somewhere else. A cousin in Pune is in an IGCSE school. A neighbour's son went to a boarding school in the hills. A relative working abroad has told them that a Diploma certificate is accepted by universities there. A smaller group have simply read about the IB, found nothing nearby, and want to understand it before deciding anything.

That is why online matching is the sensible default. A tutor who teaches Cambridge Chemistry 0620 does not become more useful by being nearer to Rudrapur. What matters is the match to the specification, the tutor's recent experience with that paper, and a connection stable enough to run a whiteboard. All three can be arranged from a living room in Deoria district.

A student from Rudrapur sits the same papers as anyone else. An IGCSE script written here is marked against the same scheme as one from Mumbai, and IB moderators apply one standard worldwide. The gap to close is not geographic, it is familiarity with the style, and familiarity is exactly what regular practice with a good tutor provides.

How do the UP Board and CBSE compare with the IB and IGCSE for a Deoria student?

  • Written English under time pressure is the usual first challenge
  • Independent coursework is the second
  • Depth in Maths and sciences is higher at IB HL
  • Many families prefer the spread-out workload once they see it

The UP Board and CBSE build towards one set of Class 10 and Class 12 results, where a single three-hour paper in each subject carries most of the weight. The IB and Cambridge IGCSE spread the weight across several components, include coursework or practical papers, and ask for explanation in the student's own words. A Deoria student with strong knowledge but little practice writing extended English answers feels this difference first.

Language is the quiet factor. Many students in Deoria think in Bhojpuri, study in Hindi and write answers in English, and the IB and IGCSE examine in English for most subjects. Content knowledge is rarely the barrier; fluent written English under time pressure is. That is a trainable skill, and it is why English and Hindi appear in tutoring requests alongside Maths and the sciences.

Depth also differs. IB Maths HL goes beyond CBSE Class 12 in several topics, and IB sciences make the student plan and analyse an investigation instead of repeating a prescribed practical. IGCSE Core sits near the CBSE Class 10 ceiling, Extended pushes beyond it, and which tier a student should enter is one of the first decisions a tutor helps with.

None of this makes the move impossible, and many families find the spread of assessment less stressful than a single board-exam month. But the comparison should be made calmly, subject by subject, before a child is moved. A free trial lesson often settles the question faster than a week of advice from relatives.

What does IB or IGCSE tuition cost for a family in Rudrapur?

  • Programme, level, subject rarity and session length set the rate
  • Rates are confirmed in writing before the free trial
  • Tutor location does not change the fee
  • Begin with one subject, review, then add

There is no price list on this page, and that is deliberate. The rate for a tutor depends on the programme, the level, how many tutors nationally can teach that exact course, and how long each session runs. IB Diploma HL Maths and the HL sciences usually cost more than IGCSE Core subjects because fewer people have recent, hands-on experience with them. A quote is given in writing before the free trial so there is nothing to discover later.

Where the tutor lives does not change the amount. A tutor in Bengaluru and one in Lucknow charge by the nature of the work, not the distance, because no part of an online lesson involves a journey. A Rudrapur family is spared the extra amount that travel adds to a visiting tutor's fee in a metro, and also spared the weekly cost of getting a child to a coaching centre in Deoria or Gorakhpur.

What does add cost is stacking: several subjects at once, long sessions, or a push before exams. The sensible approach is to start with the one subject that is causing the most worry, review after four to six weeks, and then decide whether a second subject is needed. Most families who do this spend less than those who sign up for everything at the start.

Hidden costs are worth watching for. A coaching centre that bundles Maths, Physics and Chemistry in one fee may not teach the IB or Cambridge version of any of them. An online tutor who has marked IB papers, or taught the Cambridge specification, is paid for exactly that knowledge, and it is worth asking any provider what their tutors have taught recently.

04

Online home tuition, coaching centres, local tutors or self-study: which suits a Rudrapur student?

  • Online lessons run on a laptop, not by a tutor visiting
  • Home visits exist only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR
  • A centre trip can cost more time than the lesson itself
  • Free past papers pair well with weekly tutor feedback

A student in Rudrapur can try four routes. A coaching centre in Deoria or Gorakhpur teaches in groups and mostly for UP Board, JEE or NEET, not for Diploma or IGCSE papers. A local private tutor knows the child and the neighbourhood but is unlikely to have taught the IB or Cambridge syllabus. Self-study with videos is cheap but has no one to mark a long answer. Online one-to-one tuition is the only route that puts a specialist on the other side of the screen.

That last point is the practical one. Our tutors do not visit homes in Rudrapur, because in-person home tuition is offered only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. What is offered is private tuition from home, online, with a screen, a whiteboard and a camera. For most subjects that is enough, and for Maths it is often better, because the tutor can see the student's handwriting as it forms.

The cost of the alternatives is not only money. A daily trip to a centre in Deoria can use two hours of an evening that a student needs for practice papers. During the flood months or when the roads are poor, a lesson that can happen at the dining table is simply more reliable than one that needs a journey.

Self-study still has a place. Past papers, mark schemes and the official syllabus are free, and a motivated student can learn a lot from them. The weak point is feedback, and an hour a week with a tutor who marks and explains is usually the most efficient way to add it.

Exam sessions, flood months and festivals: how does the year work in Rudrapur?

  • Put exam months, mock months and school holidays on one page
  • Use disrupted weeks for lighter, offline work
  • Morning slots before the heat help in May and June
  • Evenings suit the foggy winter better

IB Diploma exams run in May and November, with results in July and January. Cambridge IGCSE has June and November sessions, plus a smaller March series for some candidates, and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE has January, May and June, and November windows. A Rudrapur student whose school is elsewhere follows that school's calendar, so the first job in any plan is to put the exam month, the mock month and the school's holidays on one page.

Locally, the calendar is shaped by the monsoon and the festivals. The Ghaghra and the smaller rivers of the district can flood low land between July and September, which affects roads, electricity and sometimes schools. Dussehra and Diwali are family occasions with long breaks, and Chhath, widely observed across eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, can pull a household out of routine for several days.

Rather than fight these, the plan works with them. Weeks that are likely to be disrupted are used for lighter work, such as reading or a past-paper review. Weeks when a child is at home and fresh are used for hard topics. A tutor who knows that the family is away for Chhath will plan an assignment that can be done offline and then talked through afterwards.

Summer in Deoria is hot and long, and power cuts are a real possibility in May and June. For students who sit May exams, a morning slot before the heat, with a laptop charged the night before, is usually the most dependable arrangement. Winter fog affects early mornings, so evenings suit the cold months better.

What can a student from Rudrapur do after the IB or IGCSE?

  • AIU treats the IB Diploma as equivalent to Class 12 for Indian university admission
  • CUET-UG is taken by IB and IGCSE-route students like anyone else
  • JEE and NEET eligibility must be verified against the current bulletin
  • Study abroad relies on predicted IB grades and school records

The IB Diploma is accepted for admission by universities in India and abroad. In India, the Association of Indian Universities recognises it as equivalent to a Class 12 pass, and most central and many state universities accept it. CUET-UG scores are used for admission to many public universities, and IB students sit the same entrance test as everyone else, choosing the subjects their target course requires.

For engineering and medicine the position needs care. JEE Main and NEET-UG have eligibility conditions about subjects and equivalence, and an IB or IGCSE-then-A-Level student must check them against the current information bulletins, because the rules are updated. Many such students also apply to universities abroad, where predicted IB grades and SAT or ACT scores matter alongside school records.

Closer to home, Gorakhpur has a state university, a state engineering and technology university and an AIIMS campus, and Varanasi and Lucknow have well-known central and state institutions. A student who finishes an international curriculum is free to apply to any of them, as long as the course's own subject and eligibility conditions are met. Checking each institution's rules early avoids a late surprise.

For students who stay on the Indian track but want an edge, a bridge year in IGCSE before Class 11 CBSE can help with English fluency and scientific writing. A tutor can help the family decide whether that makes sense, or whether it would be better to stay on the UP Board and use tutoring to strengthen English and reasoning.

07

How are IB Maths and the sciences taught online to a Rudrapur student?

  • Pick Maths AA or AI by the target degree, not by fear of difficulty
  • Whiteboard and stylus make online Maths very workable
  • Lab skills can be practised with data and simple home experiments
  • The student writes every internal assessment word

IB Maths comes in two courses. Analysis and Approaches, AA, suits students who enjoy algebra, calculus and proof, and is the usual choice for physics, engineering and mathematics degrees. Applications and Interpretation, AI, uses more statistics and technology and suits students heading for economics, business or social science. Each has HL and SL, and a Rudrapur student, coming from the Class 10 syllabus, needs a clear conversation about which course the target degree actually needs.

Online lessons for Maths use a digital whiteboard or a tablet with a stylus. The tutor writes, the student writes back, and every step is visible. Past-paper questions are attempted live, and the working is corrected line by line. The Mathematical Exploration, the internal assessment, is planned across several weeks, with the tutor asking questions and the student writing every word.

Physics, Chemistry and Biology share a pattern: content in the first weeks, then data handling, then the internal assessment, then papers. For Physics, the chief difficulty is moving from numerical problems to the reasoning chains in Paper 2. For Chemistry, it is organic pathways and equilibrium. For Biology, it is the volume of detail and the habit of answering exactly what a command term asks.

Labs matter. IB sciences expect investigations and IGCSE expects either a practical or an alternative-to-practical paper. If a Rudrapur student does not have a laboratory at hand, the tutor works through simulated data, short home experiments that need only kitchen equipment, and analysis of results the school or tutor provides, so that the skills still develop.

08

Core or Extended: how should a Rudrapur student choose IGCSE subjects and tier?

  • Choose subjects from the school's list first, then plan support
  • Extended suits students secure in algebra and time management
  • Technical English vocabulary needs deliberate practice
  • Coursework is coached, never written, by the tutor

Most IGCSE students take around six to ten subjects, and the choice is shaped by the school's list. A usual set includes a language, Mathematics, at least two sciences, a humanities or business subject and often a second language. A student who may later take IB Diploma Maths or the sciences benefits from Additional Mathematics and separate sciences, as these build the habits later courses assume.

Tier is the second decision. Core papers are capped at a lower maximum grade, Extended papers open the full grade range. A student who is secure in algebra and works well under time should aim for Extended. A student who is still building foundations can take Core and improve, with the option, where a school allows it, of moving up before entries close.

For students arriving from the UP Board, the usual surprise is volume of English. IGCSE Sciences, Business and Economics are written in English, and a student who has learnt the subject in Hindi needs to build technical vocabulary. A tutor can run short vocabulary drills inside lessons and give writing practice with explicit feedback.

Coursework and practical papers vary between subjects and boards. Cambridge uses a practical or alternative-to-practical paper for sciences; Edexcel uses a different structure; some subjects such as English Literature or Art involve portfolio work. The tutor's task is to know which applies to the student's syllabus code and to coach, not to write any submitted piece.

Where we tutor

Rudrapur and the Deoria area our online IB and IGCSE tutors already serve

Every class is online, so the place names below matter for context rather than delivery: which block or town a family belongs to, how far it is from the cities with larger school choices, and how the rains or a festival shift the evening. These are the parts of Deoria district and the nearby region where families have asked about international curricula.

Rudrapur town

The nagar panchayat itself, a small market town where most schooling follows the UP Board and a few private CBSE schools.

Deoria

The district headquarters, the usual reference point for colleges, coaching and government offices.

Barhaj

A town on the Ghaghra side of the district, historically a trading point with its own set of private schools.

Bhatpar Rani

A tehsil town to the south where families lean on UP Board and CBSE schools and often travel to Deoria or Gorakhpur for anything else.

Salempur

A tehsil town on the district's western edge, nearer Ballia and Mau than Gorakhpur.

Gauri Bazar

A block town close to the Gorakhpur border, where many families treat Gorakhpur as their main city.

Bhatni

A railway junction town known for its station, handy for families who commute east or west for work.

Lar

A small town in the district's east, part of the sugarcane-and-paddy belt that shapes the household calendar.

Gorakhpur

The nearest large city, with universities, a medical college, a major rail junction and the broadest choice of private schools.

Kushinagar

The Buddhist pilgrimage town to the north-east, whose airport has made travel to other cities easier for local families.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Rudrapur

Rudrapur and Deoria district

Schools in the district follow the UP Board or CBSE. We found no IB World School and no Cambridge or Edexcel centre in the district, so a family looking for local IB or IGCSE teaching will not find it here.

    Nearby: Gorakhpur

The closest city with a wide private-school market and several CBSE and ICSE campuses. We could not confirm an IB or IGCSE school there, so it is better treated as a base for coaching and entrance preparation than as an international-curriculum option.

      Nearby: Varanasi and Lucknow

Larger centres that Purvanchal families already visit for hospitals, universities and shopping. Both have private schools that families ask about, though each school's current authorisation should be checked on the board's own website before anything is decided.

Nearby: Delhi NCR and the hill boarding schools

Most Rudrapur families who do enrol a child in an international curriculum look to Delhi NCR or to the boarding schools of the Uttarakhand hills. We name no school here without confirmation.

No school in Rudrapur is named on this page because we could not confirm one that offers the IB or Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE. Cities mentioned below are places where families from Purvanchal actually look for such schools, not endorsements, and IB Gram has no affiliation with any of them or with any board.

          How matching works

From first enquiry to a tutor who fits

          1. 01

            Send the brief

Programme or board, subject and level, current grades, exam month and the evening hours that work for your Rudrapur household.

          2. 02

            Receive a reasoned shortlist

Because the district has no local pool, tutors come from across India, each with a note on why they fit.

          3. 03

            Attend a free trial lesson

A real topic from your child's syllabus, taught live online, with no payment and no obligation.

          4. 04

            Approve a written plan

Topics, pace, session length and the rate in writing, which you can accept or change.

          5. 05

            Continue weekly

A fixed slot, a short note after each class and a change of tutor if the fit is not right.

          Why families choose us

What Rudrapur parents tell us matters most

          Matched on the syllabus

Tutors are chosen for the specific IB subject and level or the exact IGCSE code, not for a general subject label.

Built for places without local options

Where Deoria district has no IB or Cambridge school, the search simply covers the whole country.

          Trial before payment

Your child has a real lesson first, so the decision rests on what happened, not on a promise.

          Coaching, never ghost-writing

Tutors explain and give feedback on IAs, essays and coursework but never write any of it.

          Progress on paper

A short note follows every session, and a longer review comes every few weeks.

          Easy to change

No contract tied to a school, and a new tutor is arranged quickly if the first match is not working.

          Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Rudrapur: your questions answered

Is this page about Rudrapur in Uttar Pradesh or in Uttarakhand?+

It is about Rudrapur in Deoria district, Uttar Pradesh. The much larger Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, has its own page on this site. Lessons for either town run the same way, as live online one-to-one classes, so the practical difference is only in the local school context, the festival calendar and the cities nearby that a family compares.

How do I find an IB tutor in Rudrapur, Deoria?+

Send your child's IB programme, subject, level and exam session, and a shortlist comes back of tutors who teach that exact course. With no IB school in the district, matching is done nationally on syllabus fit, and the first lesson is a free trial so you can judge the teaching before paying.

Do you have IGCSE tutors for Rudrapur students?+

Yes. Tutors teach Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE content live online. We match on the syllabus code and tier your school or target school uses, such as Cambridge 0580 Extended Mathematics, rather than on a loose subject name, since the codes decide what is actually examined.

Do tutors come to my house in Rudrapur?+

No. In-person home tuition is offered only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. In Rudrapur the lesson is private tuition from home, online: your child sits at a laptop with a camera and a whiteboard, and the tutor teaches live and one-to-one. It is the only format we offer for Deoria district.

What does IB or IGCSE tuition cost in Rudrapur?+

The rate depends on programme, level, subject, session length and how many tutors can teach that exact course. Diploma HL Maths and sciences usually cost more than IGCSE Core subjects. We publish no fixed price list; your rate is quoted in writing before the free trial, and the tutor's location does not change it.

Which schools in Rudrapur offer IB or IGCSE?+

We could not confirm any. Schools in Rudrapur and Deoria district follow the UP Board or CBSE. Families who want an IB or Cambridge school generally look at boarding options or at larger cities, and each school's current authorisation should be checked on the IB or Cambridge website before applying.

My child boards at an IB school elsewhere. Can a tutor help during holidays?+

Yes, and it is one of the most common requests from small towns. We match a tutor to the boarding school's subject and level, and schedule lessons around its term dates, so that Dussehra, Diwali or summer breaks at home in Rudrapur are used for criterion feedback, past papers and the Internal Assessment.

Is there a free trial lesson?+

Yes, every match begins with one. Your child works through a real topic from their own syllabus with the tutor, online and without payment. Afterwards you receive a short written plan, and you can accept it, ask for a different tutor, or stop without any obligation.

Can a tutor help with my child's IB Internal Assessment?+

A tutor can guide, but never write. That includes choosing a researchable question, reading the assessment criteria, planning data collection and giving feedback on drafts. The words, calculations and conclusions in any Internal Assessment, Extended Essay or TOK piece must be the student's own, which is also what the IB requires.

Which IB Diploma subjects can you cover for a Rudrapur family?+

Both Maths courses at HL and SL, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Business Management, Computer Science, Psychology, Geography, History, English and Hindi are all covered. Language B and some less common subjects depend on tutor availability, so mention your exact combination in the first message.

Do you teach MYP and PYP, or only the Diploma?+

All four programmes are covered. MYP work focuses on criterion-based tasks and the Personal Project, and PYP work on reading, writing and number confidence ahead of a move to a PYP school. Families in Rudrapur usually ask about these when a child is about to join a relative in a city.

Is online tuition as effective as in-person tuition for a Rudrapur student?+

For IB and IGCSE it works well. A shared whiteboard, a camera on the student's handwriting and live marking of past papers give most of what a visit would, and a specialist tutor who is a thousand kilometres away is more useful than a general tutor down the lane. A steady internet connection is the main requirement.

          How are tutors checked?+

Before a tutor is introduced we look at qualifications, recent experience teaching the specific programme and subject, and familiarity with the assessment criteria. A trial lesson then shows how they actually teach. If the fit is wrong, we arrange another tutor without any awkwardness for the family.

When should my child start IB or IGCSE tuition?+

Ideally at the start of the course: Class 9 for IGCSE, Class 11 for the Diploma. Starting early gives time to fix foundations before internal assessments and mocks. Students who join late, perhaps after a family move, can still catch up with a concentrated plan built around the first exam date.

My child is thinking of moving from the UP Board to IGCSE. Can you help?+

Yes. A tutor can compare the two syllabuses for each subject, show where English writing and practical skills need strengthening, and help decide between Core and Extended tiers. The switch itself happens at a school elsewhere; we help the student become ready for it before and after.

Can lessons happen on weekends or late evenings?+

Yes. Most Rudrapur families choose weekday evenings or weekend mornings. In May and June a morning slot before the heat avoids power-cut problems, and in winter an evening slot avoids foggy mornings. Slots can be changed with notice during festival weeks such as Chhath, Dussehra and Diwali.

What if we are not happy with the tutor?+

Tell us, and we will arrange another tutor. Progress is reviewed every few weeks anyway, and a poor fit is treated as a matching problem, not a failure by the student. The written notes after each session make it easy to see whether something is really working.

Is IB Gram connected to any school or board?+

No. IB Gram is an independent tutoring service with no affiliation to the IB Organization, Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, the UP Board, CBSE or any school in Rudrapur, Deoria or Gorakhpur. Names of boards and cities on this page are for context only and imply no endorsement.
