IB and IGCSE Tutors and Online Home Tuition in Ramgarh Shekhawati

Ramgarh Shekhawati, also known as Ramgarh Sethan, is a haveli town where trading families have long looked beyond Rajasthan. Home tuition for an IB or IGCSE student here is a private live lesson online, because our tutors do not visit homes in Ramgarh, and no IB or Cambridge school is confirmed in the town.

  • Tutors are selected for the exact IB course or IGCSE code the student follows
  • Online lessons only in Ramgarh Shekhawati, since house visits operate just in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR
  • A first class without charge, then a fee set out in writing
  • A short recap goes to parents after each session

IB & IGCSE in Ramgarh Shekhawati

A haveli town, a business diaspora and an IB question

Ramgarh Shekhawati was founded in 1791 by merchants. The Poddar family of Churu wool traders settled first, the Ruias came after a dispute at Fatehpur, and together they built the town now known as Ramgarh Sethan. More than 125 havelis, temples and johdas survive, among them the Ganga Maiya, Raghunath Ji, Jagdish Ji and Khemka Balaji temples, and the economy today leans heavily on heritage tourism, with several havelis running as hotels.

Those same merchant families sent sons to Calcutta, Bombay, Assam and eventually abroad, so a Ramgarh household often has cousins in a dozen cities and a few countries. Talk of studying in the UK, Singapore or the US is not exotic here. What is missing is an international curriculum at hand. We did not find a school in Ramgarh offering the IB or Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE, and we name none. The only confirmed IB campus in Sikar district that we know of is Mody School at Laxmangarh, and a wider set sits in Jaipur.

That is where an online tutor fits. A boy or girl enrolled at a school in Jaipur or boarding in Dehradun or Pune, or a child preparing a switch at Class 9 or 11, can have a trained specialist for IB Mathematics or IGCSE Physics at a fixed hour at home, and in the holidays when school teachers are away.

A direct word on the phrase home tuition: IB Gram tutors do not come to Ramgarh houses, because in-person work is limited to Gurugram and some Delhi NCR areas. Our home tuition here means the live online kind, one student with one teacher at the child's own desk. We act independently of the IB, Cambridge, Pearson and every school mentioned, and tutors never write assessed work for any student.

At a glance

  • IB PYP, MYP, DP and CP, and Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE
  • A specialist without the drive to Sikar or Jaipur
  • Free trial lesson, then a fee in writing
  • Written feedback after every class
  • Online only, with no tutor visits to Ramgarh homes
IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Ramgarh Shekhawati school years

A child anywhere in Ramgarh can follow the IB through live lessons. The cards below show how the tutor's role shifts as the student grows towards the Diploma.

PYPNursery through Class 5, about 3 to 11 years

IB Primary Years Programme

Teachers shape each year around units of inquiry, so reading, number work and science are woven into larger questions. In the last year pupils run an Exhibition on an issue they choose themselves.

A young child whose family speaks Rajasthani or Hindi at home often needs the most help with spoken English, so short story-based sessions work better than worksheets.

MYPClasses 6 to 10, about 11 to 16 years

IB Middle Years Programme

Work in every subject is judged against criteria, not just a total mark, and units link to global themes. The Personal Project asks a student to carry a self-chosen task from idea to finished product.

A student arriving from an RBSE or CBSE school usually has to learn to show reasoning in full sentences and to read a rubric, which a tutor can model on real work.

DPClasses 11 and 12, about 16 to 19 years

IB Diploma Programme

Six subjects, three at Higher Level, sit beside Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS. Final papers are sat in May or November, and internal assessment marks count towards the subject grades.

A Ramgarh Diploma candidate is nearly always registered at a school far from home, so a weekly specialist session during holidays and exam leave keeps a demanding subject moving.

CPClasses 11 and 12, about 16 to 19 years

IB Career-related Programme

A pair of Diploma courses is combined with career-related study, a reflective project and language development, suiting students who want an applied route.

Very few Rajasthan schools offer CP and none in Ramgarh that we can confirm. We tutor the academic strands for a student registered elsewhere and are frank when another route fits better.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Ramgarh Shekhawati school timetables

Nobody from our team travels to Ramgarh houses, so each of the three arrangements below is a screen lesson. They differ in the number of students and in the time of year they suit.

Private online lessons at home

A teacher on the screen, a child at a table in their own house. In Ramgarh that is what home tuition means, because tutors attending houses is limited to Gurugram and some Delhi NCR areas.

  • Both of you write on one board
  • Fixed time each week, Indian Standard Time
  • A recap in writing every time

Wedding-season and summer revision blocks

The long summer break, and the gaps between wedding dates, make good windows for concentrated revision of weak units.

  • Several short classes a week
  • Detailed marking of past papers
  • A list of gaps for parents to see

Shared lessons for two

Cousins or friends on the same course may divide a tutor's hours, and the fee along with them.

  • Both on one course and level
  • Fee written down first
  • Go back to solo classes whenever

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Ramgarh Shekhawati

01

Is there an IB or Cambridge school in Ramgarh Shekhawati?

  • No confirmed IB or IGCSE school in Ramgarh Shekhawati
  • Mody School at Laxmangarh is the nearest confirmed IB campus
  • Jaipur holds the widest choice of IB and Cambridge day schools
  • Check authorisation on the official site before enrolling

Not in the town itself, as far as we could verify. The schools we found follow RBSE or CBSE, and like most Shekhawati towns Ramgarh's tutoring market is oriented to board examinations and to the JEE and NEET culture of nearby Sikar. We list no local school as IB or IGCSE because we cannot confirm one.

The nearest confirmed IB campus in the district is Mody School at Laxmangarh, a girls' day-cum-boarding school. For boys and for wider choices, families look to Jaipur, where Sanskar School, Jayshree Periwal International School and Seedling International Academy offer IB or Cambridge routes. Dehradun, Pune and Mussoorie boarding schools also draw Marwari families.

Because an international school usually means leaving home, many parents delay the decision until Class 8 or 10. A tutor can ease that move, by building English academic writing and exam habits before the new school starts, and by covering gaps during the first difficult term.

If a school ever says it is IB-authorised, ask for its authorisation record and check it on the IB's own list before paying any fee.

02

How does RBSE, CBSE, IGCSE or IB suit a Shekhawati child?

Rajasthan Board papers stay close to the state textbooks and pay for accurate recall, frequently written in Hindi. CBSE keeps one national syllabus and tests how ideas are applied. IGCSE and IB hand the candidate a graph or source never seen before and award marks for each step of reasoning.

For a student who is strong at memorising, the early months in IGCSE can feel odd. The fix is practice with varied questions and a tutor who points out, line by line, where reasoning is missing. For a student who is strong at maths and weak in English, vocabulary work alongside concepts is the key.

The next step differs too. On the RBSE or CBSE side, the goals are JEE, NEET, CUET-UG and Rajasthan counselling, backed by coaching in nearby Sikar and Kota. Taking IGCSE and then the Diploma or A Levels aims a student at Britain, Canada, Australia, Singapore or Europe, and Indian universities also recognise IB scores via AIU equivalence.

For a business family with relatives overseas the IB route can make sense; for a child focused on the JEE, staying with CBSE and coaching may be wiser, and we will say so honestly.

03

What decides the fee for IB and IGCSE tutoring in Ramgarh Shekhawati?

There is no published tariff. A tutor and a course set the fee, whichever town the student lives in; after the free first lesson a figure is written out for you, well before any payment.

Level matters most, so a specialist in IB Physics HL charges above a Class 6 science helper. Rarity comes second, since History, Psychology and Environmental Systems tutors are thinner on the ground than maths tutors. Hours per week come third, and the months before an exam usually need more of them.

Sikar coaching is priced per seat in a big hall and is aimed at JEE and NEET. A private specialist in Jaipur is the fairer comparison, and for a Ramgarh family the bill also includes fuel, time and sometimes a night's stay.

When money is tight, we can arrange a set run of classes on one weak unit or a lesson divided between two students.

04

Online tuition, Sikar-style coaching, local tutors or self-study: what suits Ramgarh?

Sikar is famous for coaching, and many Ramgarh teenagers travel there for JEE and NEET classes. That model drills entrance-style problems at speed. It is not built for an IB Chemistry internal assessment or a Cambridge extended-response question, and it can overwhelm a younger student.

A teacher down the lane can build a small child's confidence. The difficulty arrives with the specification, because few of them know what a command word asks for or how a Cambridge examiner awards a method mark.

Self-study with free past papers works for the disciplined. The risk is the invisible error, a wrong method practised many times because nobody saw it.

A specialist on video fills the space, watching the working as it appears and fixing the exact step. The costs are steady internet, a calm corner and, for the very young, a tired attention span after thirty minutes.

05

How do Shekhawati weather and festivals shape the study year?

The IB sits its papers in May and November. IGCSE has summer and autumn series, and a handful of Edexcel subjects offer January. Whichever school a child is registered with sets the mock dates, unless they enter as a private candidate, when the exam centre does.

Shekhawati weather is demanding. Summer afternoons reach the mid forties and the hot loo wind makes midday study unpleasant, so early morning and late evening carry the work. Winters turn cold, with frosty nights, and short days favour afternoon sessions. The monsoon is light but brings relief in July and August.

The festival and wedding calendar is dense. Gangaur and Teej fill spring and the rainy months, Holi is celebrated with Shekhawati's own dance traditions, Diwali is the year's biggest family event, and the winter wedding season fills houses with guests. Tourists also arrive in the cooler months, busy for hotel-owning families.

We plan around all of it. A slot can shift to dawn in May, revision can be front-loaded before Diwali, and exam months can carry two sessions a week.

06

What next for a Ramgarh student: Indian colleges or overseas study?

In India, an IB Diploma holder can apply to universities that accept AIU equivalence, and several private and some central universities read IB grades directly. For Rajasthan's engineering and medical seats, JEE and NEET rules apply, and IB students should read subject and board conditions well before choosing Higher Level options.

CUET-UG applies to many central university programmes. We prepare students academically, but we do not promise admission or outcomes.

Shekhawati's merchant families have long supported children studying in Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru, and many now consider the UK, Singapore, Dubai, Canada or the US. British universities read predicted IB points or A Level grades, Canadian and Australian universities take either, and American colleges weigh essays and activities.

Commerce-minded students, common in Ramgarh's trading households, often combine IB Economics and Business Management with Mathematics AI, leading to management, finance and accountancy degrees at home or abroad.

07

How are IB Mathematics and the sciences handled online?

  • Settle Maths AA versus AI with expert advice
  • Fixes made as you watch
  • Drills with the data booklet and command words
  • Investigations guided, never ghost-written

IB offers two Mathematics courses. Analysis and Approaches is for algebra, calculus and proof, a good match for engineers and scientists. Applications and Interpretation leans on data, modelling and technology, a good match for commerce and social science. Students choose before Class 11, and the free trial is a good place to talk it through.

Both people write on a digital whiteboard, so a lost minus sign is caught as it happens, and calculator key presses are demonstrated through screen sharing.

Physics, Chemistry and Biology lessons stress reading data, tracking units, understanding command words and shaping the internal investigation. The student keeps the question, method, results and write-up; the tutor only discusses approach and uncertainty.

If the school lab is modest, simulations and short demonstration videos fill the gap, and simple home measurements can supply real numbers to analyse.

08

Core, Extended and subject mixes for IGCSE students in Ramgarh

Numerous IGCSE subjects are split into Core and Extended. A Core entry stops short of the top grades; Extended reaches them, which is why a student bound for IB Mathematics, the sciences or A Levels should be entered for Extended.

Most candidates enter between five and eight subjects. Shekhawati households commonly choose Mathematics, the sciences, English, a commercial subject such as Accounting, Economics and Computer Science, plus Hindi if the board allows.

Tutors here work with Cambridge and with Pearson Edexcel. Aims match but paper design does not, and coursework or practical rules vary, so we confirm the code with the school or centre first.

Good IGCSE grades show a child can handle the Diploma or A Levels; patchy ones reveal what to mend before Class 11.

Where we tutor

Ramgarh Shekhawati areas we teach online

Online lessons reach any Ramgarh address with a dependable connection. The localities below are how families describe the town, with notes on timing, heat and the rhythm of a trading household.

Haveli quarter of Sethan Ramgarh

The heart of the old town, where the merchant mansions stand. Families here often have relatives in several cities and ask early about study abroad.

Ganga Maiya Temple area

A well-known landmark with devotional crowds at festival times; lessons are best set outside the evening aarti hours.

Raghunath Ji Temple lanes

Older streets of business families who keep late shop hours and prefer later lesson slots.

Jagdish Ji Temple area

A residential patch where several generations share a house and a study corner can be hard to find, which a quiet online slot helps.

Khemka Balaji Temple side

Neighbourhoods around another of the town's temples, with tourism and hotel-linked livelihoods.

Railway station side (east)

The eastern edge of town near the station, used by families who commute or send children to Sikar or Churu.

NH 52 side (west)

Newer houses on the western outskirts along the highway, with younger households and plots built in recent years.

Churu road side

The northern approach, a short drive from Churu, with links to wool and grain trade.

Jhunjhunu road side

The eastern approach towards Jhunjhunu and its large Shekhawati business community.

Sikar road side

The southern approach, taken by students attending coaching in Sikar, the region's JEE and NEET centre.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Ramgarh Shekhawati

Nearby in Sikar district: Laxmangarh

Mody School at Laxmangarh is the one IB campus we can confirm anywhere in Sikar district, a girls' school that offers the IB; a short journey for families in the Shekhawati towns. Choice inside Ramgarh itself is limited.

  • Mody School, Laxmangarh

Nearby: Jaipur

Three hours or so by road, Jaipur offers the broadest choice of IB and Cambridge day schools in Rajasthan, and Shekhawati parents usually begin their search there.

  • Jayshree Periwal International School
  • India International School, Mansarovar
  • Sanskar School, Sirsi Road

In Ramgarh Shekhawati itself: no confirmed IB or Cambridge school

The schools we found follow RBSE or CBSE, and we name none as an IB or IGCSE provider.

  • No confirmed IB or IGCSE school in Ramgarh; we name none.

We tutor independently of the IB, Cambridge, Pearson and any school named above. Schools are listed purely as nearby context, so please check each school's authorisation and current programmes with it directly.

Why families choose us

What Ramgarh Shekhawati parents tell us matters most

Course-level matching

The tutor is picked for IB Economics HL or IGCSE Extended Maths, which is narrower than a subject label.

Plain about delivery

From the first message, Ramgarh parents are told lessons are on screen, because a tutor at the door is a Gurugram and Delhi NCR service only.

Coaching, never ghost-writing

Tutors advise on how to approach IAs, essays and projects; they never write the text.

Free first class

Experience a proper lesson, free, before any decision.

Parents stay informed

Each session's recap lists what was done and what follows.

Easy tutor change

A poor match in speed or temperament means a new tutor.

Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Ramgarh Shekhawati: your questions answered

Can Ramgarh Shekhawati students get IB or IGCSE tutoring?+

Yes, through a screen. Ramgarh students receive private live classes in IB PYP, MYP and DP, and in IGCSE on either the Cambridge or Edexcel side, from tutors who live in other Indian cities and keep IST. No IB or IGCSE school is confirmed in town, so video is frequently the fastest road to a specialist.

Will a tutor visit our haveli or home in Ramgarh?+

No, and we say it plainly: tutors attend houses only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. For a haveli or a flat in Ramgarh we offer the online form, with your child at a laptop in their own room, a tutor teaching live and following the working on a shared page. The long trip to Sikar or Jaipur is not needed.

Is there an IB school in Ramgarh Shekhawati or Sikar district?+

We found none in Ramgarh itself. Mody School at Laxmangarh is the closest confirmed IB campus within Sikar district, and Jaipur offers more. If any school claims IB authorisation, request its record and look it up on the IB site before paying a rupee.

What does IB or IGCSE tuition cost for a Ramgarh student?+

After the free trial we send a written quote in private; tutor and course decide it, not the address. Expect Higher Level sciences to cost above primary help, uncommon subjects above common ones, and the monthly figure to climb with weekly hours.

Can my child sit IB or IGCSE exams while living in Ramgarh?+

Entry goes through an authorised school or exam centre, so either a seat at a school in another city or a private-candidate route where the board permits. Registration is not our job. Teaching and exam coaching from home begin once it is done.

My child studies in Hindi medium. Can they cope with IGCSE?+

Many do, once prepared. Academic English is the hurdle: how to explain, what command words mean, how to read data. Lesson one is diagnostic, vocabulary grows subject by subject, and early goals stay small. Think of a couple of terms, not a couple of weeks.

Which subjects do Ramgarh families ask for most?+

Maths is the most requested subject, trailed by Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Business households add Economics, Business and Accounting, and help with English writing comes up at every age. Hindi is available if the school and session allow.

Do you help with the Internal Assessment or Extended Essay?+

Advice is welcome, authorship is not. A tutor will discuss how to pick a topic, plan a method, analyse results and arrange the argument, but IB rules require the submitted work to be the student's own, so we refuse to draft coursework.

What if power or internet fails in the summer heat?+

Decent broadband or mobile data works. A phone hotspot is a useful spare, and if power cuts cluster in the hottest weeks, tell us so we choose calmer hours. A lesson that breaks down badly is replaced free.

What happens in the free first lesson?+

It is a proper class lasting about half an hour, using what your child is studying at the moment. Notice how clearly the tutor explains and how quickly they move. A mismatch means a different tutor is offered; the trial itself never costs anything.

Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE: which one?+

The school or exam centre generally decides, and you follow its board. In India Cambridge is the more usual, while Edexcel offers January papers in some subjects. Pass us the board and code, and lessons follow that specification.

Do Indian universities accept IB results?+

For the most part. AIU equivalence covers the Diploma and numerous universities read IB grades, although NEET medicine and JEE engineering have separate eligibility conditions that are worth reading early. Our support is academic and does not extend to admission advice.

When should we start before the exams?+

Start around six to nine months before the last series, lighter before that. A Class 9 IGCSE child does best beginning at the course's first day, which spares a scramble. Short on time? A dense block over the summer vacation is possible.

Do you teach younger children?+

We do. PYP-age children work on reading, writing and number ease in brief friendly sessions, and MYP students on subject concepts, criteria writing and the Personal Project. Small children usually last between thirty and forty-five minutes.

How do I begin?+

Write to +91 7439 368 115 on WhatsApp, or to support@ibgram.com, naming the class, board, subjects and aims. Our reply carries a tutor suggestion and a trial time, and nothing is payable until you hold the fee in writing.
