IB and IGCSE Home Tuition in Nathdwara, Taught Live Online

Families in Shrinathji's town who ask for IB or IGCSE home tuition find that the schools around them follow the Rajasthan Board or CBSE, and that the nearest campuses teaching an international syllabus are in Udaipur, 48 km away. Lessons therefore run live over video, one student and one tutor, at the family's own desk. Nobody from IB Gram visits homes in Nathdwara; in-person teaching exists only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR.

  • A tutor who has taught your child's exact IB subject or IGCSE code, matched before the first lesson
  • Home visits are not offered in Nathdwara; every lesson is live, online and one to one
  • A free trial lesson, then a written quote, before anything is booked
  • IB Gram is independent of the Shrinathji temple board, any school, the IB, Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel

IB & IGCSE in Nathdwara

Learning the IB or IGCSE in a temple town that keeps eight darshans a day

Nathdwara is built around one haveli-style temple. Shrinathji, the child form of Krishna worshipped in the Pushtimarg tradition, was brought here from Govardhan near Mathura in 1672 under the protection of Maharana Raj Singh of Mewar, and the town of about 42,000 people still moves to the rhythm of eight darshans, from the dawn Mangala to the bedtime Shayan. A family that wants IB or IGCSE home tuition here meets a wall: the local schools teach the Rajasthan Board or CBSE.

So IB and IGCSE tutors in Nathdwara teach over video, from elsewhere in India, one student at a time. The lesson can sit between the town's own timetables: the school day, the temple's festival weeks, a shift in the family hotel or workshop. Udaipur is 48 km away and does have IB and Cambridge schools; we come back to them below, because a daily run of that length is a real decision, not a detail.

Who asks? Families whose work grows out of the temple: priests and temple staff, hoteliers and dharamshala managers, prasad sellers, Pichwai painters from the lanes behind the shrine. Others are Udaipur professionals with roots here, and devotee families settled in Gujarat, Mumbai or abroad who send a child to grandparents for long stretches. Some want a child ready for an Udaipur school; some have a child on an international syllabus already and need a subject specialist.

A tutor explains the subject, sets practice, marks past papers and comments on a student's own drafts. Tutors never write Internal Assessments, Extended Essays, TOK essays or coursework. IB Gram is an independent service, unconnected to the IB, Cambridge, Pearson, the temple board or any school.

At a glance

  • One student, one tutor, live on screen at the home desk
  • IB PYP, MYP, DP and CP, plus Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE
  • Slots chosen to avoid festival days and the school run
  • A written note after each lesson
  • Home visits are not offered in Nathdwara; that service belongs to Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR
IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Nathdwara school years

No school in Nathdwara teaches an IB programme, so a child reaches each stage by another route: a school in Udaipur or beyond, private study beside Rajasthan Board or CBSE classes, or preparation before a move. Each summary says what the stage demands and where a tutor helps.

PYPAges 3-11 (Nursery to Class 5)

IB Primary Years Programme

PYP classrooms replace chapter-by-chapter memorising with inquiry: a unit on festivals could lead a Nathdwara child to count lamps, measure cloth, write about colours and ask why a custom began. Nothing is graded; in the final year each child leads a personal Exhibition. Tutors mostly strengthen reading, number sense and the courage to ask questions.

PYP requests here often come from parents who want a child comfortable in English and in inquiry-style learning before a move to a Udaipur school.

MYPAges 11-16 (Class 6 to 10)

IB Middle Years Programme

Every MYP subject is judged against published criteria, so work is credited for the skill it shows, such as analysing or communicating, and not only for the final answer. The Personal Project in the last year is a long task that the student plans alone. Tutors untangle the criteria and help scope the project.

Class 8 and 9 students who have moved from an RBSE or CBSE class are the usual MYP enquiries from Nathdwara.

DPAges 16-19 (Class 11 and 12)

IB Diploma Programme

Six subjects drawn from languages, sciences, mathematics, humanities and the arts make up the Diploma, three or four at Higher Level. Alongside sit Theory of Knowledge, a 4,000-word Extended Essay and a service strand. Externally marked papers come in May or November, and much of the rest is assessed inside school across the two years.

A Diploma student from Nathdwara is normally enrolled in Udaipur or further afield, or studies privately, so lessons follow that school's dates.

CPAges 16-19 (Class 11 and 12)

IB Career-related Programme

The Career-related Programme suits students who want a vocational strand beside academic study: a pathway combines Diploma courses, a career-related qualification, a reflective project and language development. India has very few CP schools, so most requests concern one academic course within a pathway.

CP enquiries from Nathdwara are rare; where they arise, hospitality and design pathways are the natural match for the town's trades.

Subject coverage

IB subjects we tutor

Choosing Diploma subjects is easier when the destination is clear: design, hospitality, medicine, engineering and commerce each pull towards a different mix. The tutor is picked after the mix is fixed, and lessons then follow the student's school calendar and exam series.

IB Maths Analysis & Approaches

HL / SL

Functions, calculus and proof; HL papers mix routine work with long unfamiliar problems, and writing the method clearly earns the marks.

IB Maths Applications & Interpretation

HL / SL

Statistics, modelling and technology, with an exploration built on something the student can measure first-hand, such as queue lengths at the temple gate or price changes across a festival week.

IB Physics

HL / SL

Waves, circuits and energy in more depth than Class 12; practicals demand a self-designed method and honest treatment of error.

IB Chemistry

HL / SL

Indigo-dyed cloth and natural pigments suggest investigation ideas, on top of the usual demands of equilibrium, kinetics and organic mechanisms.

IB Biology

HL / SL

Questions ask for precise biological language and data interpretation; the ecology of the Banas catchment can seed an investigation.

IB Visual Arts

HL / SL

A student raised among Pichwai painters already knows process and materials; the course adds a comparative study, a process portfolio and an exhibition, each with its own rules.

IB Economics

HL / SL

Seasonal demand, hospitality pricing and a temple-centred local economy supply live examples for microeconomics.

IB Business Management

HL / SL

Hotels, dharamshalas, sweet shops and art workshops are working firms; case papers reward answers that apply theory to such businesses.

IB Environmental Systems & Societies

SL / HL

Festival waste, water use and the health of the river give ready case material for an evaluation-based course.

IB Geography

HL / SL

Pilgrimage and tourism flows, fieldwork on crowding and land use, and real data for the population and urban topics.

IB Computer Science

HL / SL

Systems and logic on paper, plus a working program for the internal assessment; a queue or booking system is a workable project idea.

IB English A Language & Literature

HL / SL

Timed analysis of unseen texts and a comparative essay; students from Hindi-medium classes need structured practice in formal written English.

IB Hindi & English B

HL / SL

Hindi and Mewari are spoken at home, yet assessed writing needs an exact register, text type and formal structure.

IB History

HL / SL

Mewar's past, from Raj Singh's reign to the story of the Shrinathji icon, is good practice ground for the source evaluation the papers reward.

Theory of Knowledge (TOK)

DP Core

Structured conversation about how we know what we claim to know; the essay and exhibition remain entirely the student's own work.

IGCSE coverage

IGCSE subjects we tutor

IGCSE choices in a temple town often lean towards subjects that connect with family work: business, tourism, art and languages sit beside Mathematics and the sciences. Whichever mix is chosen, the board, code and tier must be fixed first, since Cambridge and Edexcel papers differ in wording and mark schemes even where titles match.

IGCSE Mathematics 0580

Core / Extended

Method marks reward complete, ordered working, so practice under time limits, with and without a calculator, carries most of the preparation.

IGCSE Additional Mathematics 0606

Grade 10

Brings calculus and functions forward for a student expecting IB Maths AA at Higher Level.

Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics A 4MA1

Foundation / Higher

Edexcel's own wording and mark scheme mean practice comes from its papers and reports, not Cambridge's.

IGCSE Physics 0625

Core / Extended

Calculation habits and a clear written account of an experiment decide most of the grade.

IGCSE Chemistry 0620

Core / Extended

Moles, reactivity and tests for ions, each needing both the calculation and the written reason.

IGCSE Biology 0610

Core / Extended

Structured longer answers and careful reading of graphs, tables and unfamiliar data.

IGCSE Business Studies 0450

Grade 9-10

Case-based papers where hotels, sweet makers and art workshops can illustrate an answer.

IGCSE Travel and Tourism 0471

Grade 9-10

Two written papers on tourism types, economics and customer service, a natural fit for a pilgrimage economy.

IGCSE Art & Design 0400

Grade 9-10

Portfolio plus an exam; Cambridge does not accept private candidates for it, so a student must be entered by a school that teaches it.

IGCSE Hindi as a Second Language 0549

Grade 9-10

Familiar ground for a Hindi- and Mewari-speaking student, and a steadying choice in a timetable full of demanding subjects.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Nathdwara school timetables

The format is always online, but the shape of the week depends on the household. Three patterns cover most requests from Nathdwara.

Steady weekly lesson outside rush hours

A fixed slot that avoids temple-linked errands, the evening market and festival days, with one tutor following the syllabus in sequence.

  • Keeps one tutor and one growing record of progress
  • Slot chosen around the family's shop, hotel or temple duties
  • Past papers marked and returned promptly
  • A written note to parents after each class

Bridge to a Udaipur school

For a child who attends, or will join, an international school in Udaipur, lessons keep pace with that school's units and deadlines, using weekends and holidays.

  • Follows the school's own order of topics
  • Helps a student from RBSE or CBSE settle into new question styles
  • Short blocks during school breaks
  • Drafts are commented on, never rewritten

Festival-gap intensive

Nathdwara has heavy weeks and quiet weeks. An intensive block in a quiet gap, before an exam series or a school assessment, packs several lessons into a short period.

  • Planned backwards from the exam or submission date
  • Timed papers followed by a same-week review
  • Paused for Annakut, Janmashtami and Holi weeks
  • Returns to a lighter weekly rhythm afterwards

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Nathdwara

01

Which IB and IGCSE schools can a Nathdwara family actually reach?

  • No IB or IGCSE school was confirmed in Nathdwara
  • Udaipur, 48 km away, has the nearest IB and Cambridge schools
  • A daily commute that long is heavy for a young child
  • Online tutoring can begin now and continue through any move

None inside Nathdwara, as far as our checks show. The schools in town follow the Rajasthan Board or CBSE, and the IB and Cambridge lists we consulted name no campus in the town or in Rajsamand district. The nearest real options are in Udaipur, 48 km to the south-west: Crossroads International School for the IB, and Rockwoods International School and Seedling The World School for Cambridge. That distance is why IB and IGCSE tutors in Nathdwara work online.

Forty-eight kilometres sounds short on a map. As a daily school run it means an early start, highway traffic and a long day for a child of ten, so families in this position usually weigh three options: a rented flat in Udaipur, a boarding place, or staying in Nathdwara and studying the international course with private help until the family is ready to move. One of the three Udaipur schools takes boarders; any school's current terms need checking with it directly.

The families who ask are a mixed group. Some work in the temple's orbit: hotel and dharamshala owners, prasad makers, Pichwai painters, priests' households. Some are Udaipur professionals who grew up here. Devotee families settled in Gujarat, Mumbai or overseas also keep close ties with the town and sometimes send a child to grandparents for long stretches, and an international syllabus travels with such a child more easily than a State Board one.

Wherever it is prepared, the qualification is the same. A Cambridge paper sat in Udaipur is the paper sat in Nairobi, and IB marks are standardised across schools worldwide. One rule is worth knowing early: IB Diploma candidates must be registered by an authorised school, whereas IGCSE candidates can enter through an approved exam centre that takes private candidates, and finding such a centre near Nathdwara is the family's job.

RBSE, CBSE, IB or IGCSE: what changes when a Nathdwara student crosses over?

  • Command words such as explain and evaluate need direct practice
  • English as the exam language needs time, not just vocabulary lists
  • Internal work must be spread across weeks
  • A trial lesson shows the new workload at once

The kind of question changes first. An RBSE Physics paper may ask a student to state a law; an IGCSE paper shows an unfamiliar circuit and asks why a reading changed. Students who have been rewarded for crisp recall must learn to explain, compare and justify, and once they do, the content itself proves less strange than the wording.

Assessment over the year differs as well. Rajasthan Board results hang mostly on the March papers. The IB adds internal assessments, moderated by examiners outside the school, and Cambridge and Edexcel carry practical or coursework components in some subjects. Work that used to be revised in the final month now has to be drafted, reviewed and finished across several weeks.

Language is a practical issue too. Students from Hindi-medium classes, which is common in Rajasthan, often meet English as the language of examination for the first time in an IB or IGCSE course. Subject vocabulary, essay structure and time to read long questions all need deliberate practice, and tutors usually allow extra time for this in the first months.

Switching is a family choice and need not be abrupt. A student aiming for the Rajasthan engineering or medical route can stay with RBSE or CBSE and use IGCSE Maths and science as enrichment. A student headed for design, hospitality or study abroad may find the IB's breadth a better match. A trial lesson shows the workload before anything is decided.

03

Why do two tutors quote different fees for the same IB subject?

  • Level, scarcity of skill, tutor record and hours drive the rate
  • Online delivery removes travel from the price
  • Compare tutors on recent syllabus experience, not only qualifications
  • Written quote first; pauses carry no penalty

Because a quote is built from four ingredients that differ between tutors: the level of the course, how scarce the subject skill is, how recently the tutor has taught the exact syllabus, and how many hours a week you ask for. A Higher Level Chemistry teacher who has followed the current guide is harder to find than someone supporting IGCSE Core Hindi, and the rate reflects that. IB Gram quotes in writing before you book.

Nathdwara adds nothing to the figure and takes nothing off. Online teaching removes travel from the price, and it also removes the highway run to Udaipur that a city tutor or an academy would otherwise ask of a student. For a family without a car or a driver, that saving is often larger than the difference between two hourly rates.

Judge a quote by results per month, not cost per hour. A teacher who is learning the syllabus beside your child burns the first weeks in preparation, while one who has marked recent scripts gets to exam technique quickly. Ask each tutor which papers they taught last year; it is a fairer comparison than qualifications alone.

No family is locked in. Lessons can stop for a wedding season, Annakut week or a fortnight of guests, and they restart without penalty. A tutor who is not the right fit is replaced. IB Gram keeps no public price list, because a Class 6 MYP student and a Class 12 HL Physics student cannot sensibly share one.

Online one-to-one, coaching classes, a neighbourhood tutor or self-study: how do they compare in Nathdwara?

  • Coaching classes are built for JEE, NEET and board exams
  • Local tutors suit school subjects and younger children
  • Self-study leaves drafts unread
  • Online lessons bring course-specific teaching home

Rajasthan is where Kota set the national model for coaching, and families in Nathdwara know it: big batches, daily tests, a clear target in JEE or NEET. For that target it is hard to beat. It has no answer for a student who needs IB Business Management HL or IGCSE Art coursework, because nobody teaches those in a batch, and a coaching hall does not teach command terms, internal assessment or Cambridge mark schemes.

Neighbourhood tutors are valuable for Hindi-medium school subjects and for a young child who needs a familiar adult. The limit is syllabus knowledge. Few have taught an IB guide or a Cambridge specification, so a question such as how a Visual Arts comparative study is marked goes unanswered. That is no failing on their part, only a fact about local supply.

Self-study suits a student who is organised and has past papers and examiner reports to hand. Its weak point is feedback: no one reads the draft, flags the repeated error or says that an exploration question is too wide. Such problems usually surface late, close to a deadline.

One-to-one online lessons combine subject knowledge, feedback and home comfort. A screen, a shared whiteboard and scanned papers replace a classroom, and the tutor is selected for the course, not for the postcode. The only hard requirement is a steady connection, which deserves a backup in a town that receives large festival crowds.

How do darshan hours, festival weeks and summer heat shape a study week in Nathdwara?

  • Darshan hours and temple duties fix when a home is busy
  • Annakut, Janmashtami and Holi each pause lessons
  • May and June heat moves study to the late evening
  • Monsoon storms make a hotspot backup worthwhile

They decide when a household is free. The temple keeps eight darshans between dawn and bedtime, the shops and kitchens around it follow those hours, and roughly three festivals a week fall in the Pushtimarg calendar. Families with members in temple service or trade are busy at fixed times, so the working answer is a lesson slot that never competes with them: usually a later evening, or a weekend mid-morning.

Festival weeks are the hard ones. Annakut, the day after Diwali, is one of the town's biggest occasions, and Janmashtami and Holi also bring crowds. Rooms fill, relatives arrive, errands multiply and demand on the mobile network rises. Lessons pause for these days, and a term plan drawn at the start avoids rearranging every week.

Summer is the other constraint. May and June are hot and dry across southern Rajasthan, with afternoon temperatures near or above 40 degrees, so study moves to the late evening. The monsoon from July to September turns the Aravalli foothills green and fills the Banas, and storms can cut power for hours, so a phone hotspot is a sensible backup.

Exam calendars overlap these seasons. Rajasthan Board Class 10 and 12 papers come in March and CBSE starts in February, Cambridge holds series in May-June and October-November, Edexcel adds January, and the IB runs in May and November. A private IGCSE candidate can choose a series that falls in a quieter stretch of the temple calendar; a student in an Udaipur school follows the school's own dates.

06

What happens after IB or IGCSE for a Nathdwara student?

  • Udaipur, Jaipur, Delhi and Ahmedabad are the usual college cities
  • Design and hotel-management tests each set their own eligibility
  • AIU equivalence and CUET matter for Indian routes
  • A tutor supports subject strength, never the application itself

Udaipur is the first stop for many, with Mohanlal Sukhadia University and its colleges for degrees and the city's professional institutions beyond them. Jaipur, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai draw others, and some students aim abroad, to the UK, Canada, Australia, the US, Dubai or Singapore.

The town's own trades point some students towards design and hospitality. Art-minded students often look at design courses, where entrance tests such as NID's DAT and IIT's UCEED each set their own eligibility terms for students of international boards; hotel-management aspirants follow the NCHM JEE route. Families should read each test's current rules before choosing subjects.

For mainstream Indian routes, an IB or IGCSE record generally needs an Association of Indian Universities equivalence certificate; CUET-UG serves central and many state universities; and NEET and JEE Main have their own subject and eligibility provisions for students of other boards. Rajasthan's state counselling for engineering and medical seats adds domicile and board conditions that change by year, so read the current brochures in Class 11, not Class 12.

For the UK, Canada, Australia or the US, applications begin about a year ahead, built on predicted grades, references and personal statements. A tutor contributes the academic part: stronger subject command, realistic feedback on predictions and exam technique. The choices, statements and forms remain with the family and the counsellor.

07

Turning Nathdwara's own life into IB Maths and science investigations

  • Maths AI explorations can use queue, price or river data
  • Physics investigations need a realistic, measurable question
  • Chemistry projects with pigments must be safe and small
  • Narrow, early topic choices give cleaner data

Mathematics Analysis and Approaches rewards planning: read the question, pick the tool, check that the result makes sense. Applications and Interpretation leans on data, and Nathdwara hands over data generously. A student might measure queue lengths at the temple gate across a festival week, compare the price of the same sweet at different shops, or track how the Banas changes through the monsoon; the exploration then tests a sensible hypothesis with a proper method.

Physics investigations are judged on design, control of variables and treatment of uncertainty. A town with no university laboratory nearby is no handicap if the question is realistic: the cooling of a steel plate, the period of a pendulum on a long rope, the brightness of a lamp at different distances. A tutor helps the student decide whether an idea can produce clean data in two weeks.

Chemistry has an unusual local resource in the painters' quarter: natural pigments, indigo and the preparation of cloth for painting. A student might study how an acid or a base changes a dye, or compare extraction methods, provided the work is safe, small and done with school or approved materials. Equilibrium, kinetics and organic mechanisms still demand the same clear, reasoned written answers as anywhere.

Biology and Environmental Systems questions reward exact language and use of the command term. The pilgrim economy raises honest environmental questions: waste from a festival crowd, water use, the health of the river. A student who picks one narrow, measurable question, not a grand one, produces a stronger investigation, and choosing early leaves time to collect the data twice.

08

Building an IGCSE subject list in Nathdwara: maths, business, tourism or art?

  • Extended is the safer start when the next stage is undecided
  • Business Studies and Travel and Tourism draw on the town's own economy
  • Art and Design needs a school that enters its own students
  • Choose the board on dates, papers and tutor experience

A private IGCSE candidate assembles a list from scratch, and the usual core is English, Mathematics, two sciences and two or three electives. The Extended tier grades from A* to E and keeps the Diploma and overseas study open; Core is capped at C. Anyone unsure should sit the first mock at Extended level and let the result guide the final tier.

Electives are where a Nathdwara student can follow family trades. Business Studies 0450 uses cases that map onto hotels, dharamshalas, sweet shops and art workshops, and Travel and Tourism 0471 fits a pilgrimage economy naturally, with two written papers and no coursework. Art and Design 0400 is different: it rests on a portfolio, and Cambridge does not accept private candidates for it, so the student must be entered by a school that teaches it, with the tutor coaching critique and presentation but never producing the work.

Mathematics is the anchor. Extended Mathematics followed by Additional Mathematics 0606 prepares for IB Maths AA at Higher Level, while a student who plans Standard Level, or who is aiming at art or hospitality, can skip the extra paper. Hindi as a Second Language 0549 steadies a timetable full of demanding subjects.

Choose the board using exam dates, the availability of past papers and the tutor's most recent teaching. Universities accept Cambridge and Edexcel on equal terms. A private candidate should confirm with the exam centre early which syllabuses it accepts, since centre rules and entry deadlines vary.

Where we tutor

Nathdwara's quarters and nearby places we teach online

Lessons for all of these places happen on screen and nowhere else; nobody travels to them. They are listed because each has its own clock: darshan timings in the temple lanes, workshop hours in the painters' streets, traffic on the Udaipur highway.

Shrinathji temple quarter

The narrow lanes around the haveli-style temple, where the eight darshans set the household clock and festival crowds fill every room.

Chitron ki gali

The street of painters, where Pichwai workshops open onto the lane and many children learn the craft alongside school.

Chitrakaron ka mohallah

The painters' colony, where art is both a trade and a family tradition, and where IB Visual Arts would feel familiar.

Ganesh Tekri

The hill where the Statue of Belief, a 369-foot Shiva figure opened in October 2022, draws visitors and a growing hospitality belt.

Bus stand and highway side

Where buses from Udaipur and beyond arrive, with hotels and dharamshalas close by and evening traffic that shapes the school run.

Banas riverside

Homes along the river that gives the town its monsoon character; storms can bring power cuts for hours.

Kankroli

The neighbouring pilgrim town towards Rajsamand, with the Dwarkadhish temple and its own school market.

Haldighati

The historic pass in the same district, where tourism and small trade support local households.

Eklingji and Kailashpuri

The temple village roughly midway between Nathdwara and Udaipur on the highway, used by some families as a reference point for the commute.

Udaipur side

Families who already work in Udaipur or are weighing a move there for an international school, 48 km to the south-west.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Nathdwara

Nathdwara and Rajsamand district

Local schools follow the Rajasthan Board or CBSE. No IB or Cambridge school turned up in our checks, so international syllabuses are studied online, privately, or in Udaipur.

    Nearby: Udaipur (about 48 km)

The closest city with confirmed international-syllabus schools. A daily run each way takes real time, so families weigh a rented home or a boarding place; one of the three is a day-cum-boarding school.

    • Crossroads International School
    • Rockwoods International School
    • Seedling The World School

    Nearby: Ahmedabad

Gujarat has a large Pushtimarg following, so Ahmedabad features in some families' plans, though it is a long journey from Nathdwara.

    • Calorx Olive International School
    • Fountainhead School

No school in Nathdwara or elsewhere in Rajsamand district could be confirmed as teaching the IB, Cambridge IGCSE or Edexcel IGCSE, so the school strip above is empty. The Udaipur and Ahmedabad schools below were verified for other pages on this site and are shown only to help families plan; IB Gram has no agreement with any of them, nor with the Shrinathji temple board, the IB organisation, Cambridge or Pearson.

    Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Nathdwara: your questions answered

Is there really no IB or IGCSE school in Nathdwara?+

None that we could confirm. Local schools follow the Rajasthan Board or CBSE, and the IB and Cambridge lists we checked name no campus in the town or the district. Udaipur, 48 km away, has the closest international schools. If you know of a newly opened campus, tell us and we will verify it and update this page.

Will an IB tutor visit our house near the temple?+

No. IB Gram tutors do not visit homes in Nathdwara, because the home-visit service covers Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR only. A Nathdwara student instead learns live at home on a laptop or tablet, with the tutor on screen, a shared whiteboard and marked papers sent back the same way.

Can a child from a painter's family get an IB Visual Arts or IGCSE Art tutor?+

Possibly, depending on tutor availability, which we confirm in the proposal before the trial. Art tutors coach research, critique, process journals and presentation; they never produce or finish work for a student. Both courses also need a school that enters its students, since art is assessed on the student's own portfolio.

Do you publish fees for Nathdwara students?+

No fixed price list exists, because a Class 6 MYP student and a Class 12 HL student need very different teachers. After you describe the course, a written quote arrives before booking. The trial lesson is free, there is no travel element in the figure, and a family can pause for a festival week or stop at any time.

Is Udaipur worth considering for a move?+

It is worth a look if the child will do the full IB Diploma, since 48 km each way every day is tiring. Crossroads International School, Rockwoods International School and Seedling The World School are the Udaipur names we have seen confirmed; ask each for current authorisation and boarding terms. Online tuition can carry on through any move.

We live in Ahmedabad but my child spends summers in Nathdwara. Can lessons continue?+

Yes. Lessons are online, so a student can keep the same tutor in Ahmedabad and in Nathdwara during holidays, or anywhere with a connection. All lessons run on Indian Standard Time, so the slot stays the same in both places and only the household's routine needs adjusting.

How does the free trial lesson work for an online student?+

You send a short brief, we suggest a time, and the student logs in through a link. The tutor teaches a real topic from your child's syllabus, using a shared whiteboard, and parents are welcome to sit in. A written note follows. Only then do you decide whether to go on, and nothing is charged before that.

How far can a tutor help with an IA, Extended Essay or art portfolio?+

Tutors guide but do not author. They can clarify assessment criteria, test whether a research question is workable, point out where an argument is weak and comment on a draft the student has written. They cannot write, rewrite or complete any assessed work, and requests to do so are refused, for TOK essays and art portfolios as much as IAs.

Which subjects can be taught online for the Diploma?+

Maths AA and AI, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Business Management, Geography, History, English A, Computer Science, Environmental Systems and Hindi B, with TOK and Extended Essay guidance. Visual Arts depends on tutor availability. If a subject is missing, ask, and we will check the pool before proposing anyone.

Can younger children on PYP or MYP take part?+

Yes. A Class 4 child on the PYP gets short, lively sessions on reading, number and the research habits behind the Exhibition, while an MYP student works on criteria, written explanations and the Personal Project. Two short lessons a week often suit younger children better than one long one.

How reliable is online teaching when festival crowds strain the network?+

Usually reliable, but plan for it. In crowded weeks use a wired or fibre line if you have one, keep a mobile hotspot charged, and choose an early or late slot. If a session drops, the tutor resumes it or agrees a new time with you.

What English level does a Hindi-medium student need to begin?+

A working level, not perfection. Tutors start from the student's own papers to see where understanding is sound and where language is the obstacle. Subject vocabulary, sentence frames for explaining and timed writing are built into the first months, and the gap usually narrows with steady practice.

When is the best time to start?+

At the opening of a course if possible: Grade 9 for IGCSE and Class 11 for the Diploma. A Class 10 student aiming at a coming May-June series should begin at once, because two terms is enough only if lessons are regular. Late starts still help when they target past papers and the highest-value topics.

Can an RBSE or CBSE student add IGCSE Maths while staying in school?+

Yes. The adjustment is mostly in how questions are worded and marked, and tutors teach command words directly. A student keeps school timetable and homework, then adds two lessons a week for a term or two before the chosen sitting. Private entry needs an exam centre that accepts candidates.

What happens if the tutor is not a good fit?+

Say so, and we will propose someone else without fuss. Reviews happen every few weeks anyway, and because there is no contract, pausing or stopping costs nothing. The match matters more than loyalty to the first tutor, and a change in week two is easier than one in month four.

Does IB Gram work with the temple board or any school?+

No. IB Gram is an independent service with no connection to the Shrinathji temple board, to any school in Nathdwara or Udaipur, to the IB organisation, to Cambridge or to Pearson Edexcel. School names on this page describe the setting and are not endorsements.
