How does IB Gram shortlist a tutor for a family in Imperial Heights, Goregaon?

A shortlist for Imperial Heights, Goregaon starts from two facts: which of the two towers and which wing you live in, and which two evening windows your child is genuinely free. Everything else follows from those. A tutor who can be at the Link Road gate by half past six on a Tuesday and a Thursday is worth more to a Year 10 student than a more decorated tutor who can only manage Saturday mornings, because a Saturday slot collapses the first time there is a birthday party or a football fixture. IB Gram works backwards from the slot, then filters on board, subject and level.

Once the slot is fixed, the board decides the rest. An IB and IGCSE tutor near me in Imperial Heights, Goregaon is rarely one person covering both: a Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry specialist and an International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) Sciences specialist read a mark scheme differently, and the second is not a junior version of the first. We ask which syllabus code or which MYP criteria your child's school is actually running before a single name is sent, because guessing wrong costs a term. Families who want a single IB and IGCSE home tutor in Imperial Heights, Goregaon for two children on different boards are usually better served by two part-slots than one compromise.

The shortlist you receive is deliberately short. Two or three profiles, each stating the subjects that person teaches at Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL), the Core or Extended tiers they take at IGCSE, and the areas they already travel to on a weekday. You speak to your preferred tutor before committing to anything. The home tuition arrangement only becomes a standing weekly booking after one paid first session that either side can walk away from, which is the honest version of what other services call a free demo.

IB Gram is an independent platform and is not affiliated with Witty International School, with JBCN International School, Oshiwara, or with any other school named anywhere on this page, and we do not guarantee grades. What we do control is the quality of the match and how quickly we replace one that is not working. Everything below is written to help you judge a tutor yourself, because the parent who asks three good questions on the introductory call gets a better outcome than the parent who accepts the first profile sent.

  • 1. Tell us the tower, the wing, the subject, the board and two evening windows
  • 2. We filter tutors already working the Goregaon West–Link Road stretch for that subject
  • 3. You receive two or three profiles with levels, tiers and travel radius stated
  • 4. You speak to the tutor you prefer, then book one paid first session
  • 5. Weekly home classes begin after that session, at your flat, at a fixed time

IB and IGCSE at Years 9 to 11: what the structure means in Mumbai

At Years 9 to 11 the two boards ask for different things, and the difference is not difficulty. The International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) assesses against published criteria strands per subject, each describing what a piece of work demonstrates rather than how many marks it collected. Cambridge International Education and Pearson Edexcel run terminal International GCSE papers with mark schemes and a tier entry decision behind them. A student moving out of MYP into an IGCSE cohort, which happens often enough across Mumbai when a family changes schools, has to learn an entirely different way of being judged, and nobody at either school is responsible for teaching them that.

That matters for tutoring because the two systems reward different habits. An MYP student who writes fluently but ignores the command terms sitting inside the criteria loses marks they are convinced they earned. An IGCSE student who has memorised content but has never been shown how a four-mark explain question differs from a four-mark describe question loses them the same way. A useful IB and IGCSE tutor in Mumbai spends the first fortnight working out which of those two problems your child actually has, then says so plainly instead of starting from chapter one.

Below Year 9 the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the lower MYP years are a different request, and the Years 1 to 12 sibling page for this address covers that ground. This page is about the stretch where decisions start to stick: subject selection, tier entry, and the first pieces of internal work that follow a child onto a transcript. Above it sits the IB Diploma Programme (DP), with its Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL) split, the Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and the subject Internal Assessment (IA).

Do not take assessment structure from a page like this one. Both the IB and the examination boards revise subject guides on their own cycles, so component names, paper patterns and weightings change between cohorts. Ask your school's IB coordinator or Cambridge examinations officer for the guide that applies to your child's exact session, and put that document in front of the tutor at the first session. Anyone worth booking will want to read it before planning anything, and that applies to all IB and IGCSE subjects across IGCSE Years 9-11 tutoring in Mumbai, whichever board your child ends up sitting.

  • MYP work is judged against criteria strands, not a single raw mark total
  • IGCSE entry is tiered, and the tier decision is taken in Year 9
  • Command terms carry marks in both systems and are rarely taught explicitly
  • A mid-stream board change needs a term of deliberate rewiring, not revision
  • Current subject guides come from your coordinator, never from a tutoring page

Subject choice, HL and SL, Core and Extended: the decisions that bind

Subject choice is the one decision a tutor can help with before any teaching happens, and most families here make it in a hurry. At IGCSE the live questions are how many subjects to carry, whether to take Extended or Core Mathematics, whether to sit a second language as a first language paper, and whether a triple-science load leaves room for anything the child enjoys. At IB Middle Years Programme level the equivalent question is which subject groups to push on, because MYP 5 performance is what a Diploma Programme coordinator looks at when a student asks for three Higher Level sciences.

The Core and Extended decision in Mathematics is the one that goes wrong most often in this part of Mumbai. Core closes doors a Year 11 student does not know are there yet: a child entered for Core and then applying for Higher Level Mathematics in the Diploma Programme is starting from behind, and the gap is in algebraic fluency rather than topic coverage. A tutor working through all IB and IGCSE subjects tutoring in Imperial Heights, Goregaon should be able to set a diagnostic of twenty algebra questions and tell you honestly which tier the evidence supports, even when that answer is not the one you wanted.

Internal assessment is the other place families lose marks quietly. Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel coursework components, where a school runs them, are drafted under conditions the school controls, so a tutor cannot touch the writing and should refuse to. What a tutor can do is rehearse the skill on a parallel task: a practice investigation with a different variable, a practice source analysis on a different period. The same boundary applies to MYP work and to any IB Diploma Programme Internal Assessment later. A tutor who offers to improve the draft itself is a problem, not a shortcut.

Across both boards the subjects where specialist tutors are genuinely scarce in Mumbai are the same handful: Economics and Business at Higher Level, Computer Science, Physics taught by someone who has actually marked, and the less common second languages. Scarcity shows up in your options rather than in the teaching: fewer profiles, fewer evening windows, and a longer wait for a slot in this corridor. Common subjects are the opposite, and a parent asking for English or Biology support at IGCSE will usually have a genuine choice of three people.

  • Core or Extended Maths is decided on an algebra diagnostic, not a feeling
  • Triple science at IGCSE eats the evenings a language revision plan needs
  • Coursework drafting stays with the school; tutors rehearse the skill on parallel tasks
  • MYP 5 subject evidence is what a Diploma Programme coordinator reads later
  • Scarce subjects mean fewer slots and a longer wait, not weaker teaching

Which areas around Imperial Heights, Goregaon does a Link Road tutor cover?

A tutor matched to Imperial Heights, Goregaon almost always also works Goregaon West, Malad West and Oshiwara, and that is not a coverage boast. It is the shape of the road. Imperial Heights is a tower pair sitting off the Link Road in Goregaon West, so a tutor arriving from Andheri or Malad comes down the Link Road and quotes their timings from it, not from the distance on a map. Someone who already teaches two families in Malad West on a Wednesday can add a third in your building with almost no added travel; someone coming from Chembur cannot, whatever they promise on the phone.

The Western Suburbs run north and south along the Western Express Highway and the Western Line, which is why an IB and IGCSE tutor near me in Imperial Heights, Goregaon works best when matched along the line rather than across it. Bandra to Andheri is quick off-peak and painful at six in the evening. Khar to Santacruz, or Malad to Kandivali, holds up all year. Goregaon station is the anchor for tutors who travel by train, and Metro Lines 2A and 7 have made the Dahisar to Andheri leg survivable for tutors living further north. Metro Line 1 from Versova through Andheri to Ghatkopar matters mainly for the handful of tutors who live east and are willing to cross.

In practice the honest radius for weekly home tuition across this part of Mumbai is about twenty minutes of local travel in the evening peak, not twenty minutes on a Sunday afternoon. Ask any candidate where they are coming from and at what time, then ask what they do when the Link Road backs up at the Oshiwara end. A tutor who says they will leave earlier has thought about it. A tutor who says traffic is never a problem has not, and you will discover that in week four when the lesson starts at twenty past seven instead of seven.

Oshiwara is worth naming separately because the JBCN International School, Oshiwara catchment pulls families from your towers and from Goregaon West into the same timetable, which concentrates demand for the same two evening slots. If your child can take a late-afternoon slot straight after school instead, your choice of tutor roughly doubles. That single piece of flexibility is the most valuable thing a parent in Imperial Heights, Goregaon can offer, and it costs nothing.

  • Goregaon West, Malad West and Oshiwara sit inside one realistic weekday radius
  • Goregaon station anchors tutors travelling by train on the Western Line
  • Metro Lines 2A and 7 made the Dahisar to Andheri leg workable for tutors
  • Matching along the Western Line holds; matching across the city does not
  • A late-afternoon slot roughly doubles the home classes available to you

The Mumbai school calendar families in Imperial Heights, Goregaon plan around

Children in your towers are mostly bussed to a small set of schools, and their calendars, not the examination boards, set when tutoring gets difficult. Witty International School at Malad and JBCN International School, Oshiwara are the two that come up most often for families at this address, with Oberoi International School across at Goregaon East on JVLR and Billabong High International School in Malad also in the mix. Named here as local context only: IB Gram has no relationship with any of them and nothing on this page should be read as an endorsement in either direction.

The pressure points repeat every year. The weeks after the October break are when Year 11 mock results land and a family that was coasting suddenly wants four subjects covered at once, which is the worst possible moment to be looking for a Physics specialist. December and January are when IGCSE coursework deadlines and Diploma Programme Internal Assessment drafts collide, and February into March is the run-up to the May examination series, when every good tutor in the Western Suburbs is already committed. A home tutor booked in July is a different and better experience from one booked in November.

School bus timing is the other calendar nobody writes down. A child dropped at the Link Road entrance at a quarter past four needs food and a break before anything useful happens, so a session starting at five is realistic and one starting at half past four is not. Children on a later route, or those doing a co-curricular session twice a week, effectively have three usable evenings. Tell us which evenings those are at the start rather than discovering the clash in week two.

Examination season also changes what the household can absorb. During board papers an older sibling needs quiet, which means the dining table your Year 9 child uses is gone. Families in Imperial Heights, Goregaon who plan for that in advance either move the younger child's session to the society's study area or shift it online for three weeks. Both work. What does not work is pretending the flat has two quiet rooms when it has one.

  • Witty International School and JBCN International School, Oshiwara dominate this catchment
  • Post-October mock results trigger a rush for the same scarce specialists
  • December to January stacks IGCSE coursework against Diploma Programme IA drafts
  • A bus arriving at four fifteen makes a five o'clock start the earliest realistic one
  • During a sibling's board papers, plan the quiet room before you need it

Home tuition, online or hybrid for a two-tower address off the Link Road

Home tuition is the default here and it is the right default for Years 9 to 11. A tutor sitting at your dining table sees the things a camera never shows: the phone face-down beside the notebook, the handwriting that collapses in the last ten minutes, the fact that your child cannot find their own past-paper file. IB and IGCSE home tuition in Imperial Heights, Goregaon also fixes attendance, because a tutor who has travelled down the Link Road to your gate is not a session anyone cancels casually. For most Year 9 and Year 10 students who cannot yet work unsupervised, that is the whole argument.

Online is not a weaker option, it is a different one, and for some requests it is clearly better. An IB and IGCSE online tutor in Imperial Heights, Goregaon can be the only realistic way to reach a genuine specialist in a scarce subject, because the pool stops being limited to people who can drive the Link Road on a Thursday. Online also holds through the monsoon, when a seven o'clock home slot in the Western Suburbs becomes a lottery. The trade-off is honest: online is the wrong choice for a Year 9 student who cannot yet sit alone with a problem for fifteen minutes without drifting, and no amount of screen-sharing software changes that.

Hybrid is what most families here settle into by the second term. One session a week in person for the diagnostic work, the marking conversation and the tier or subject decisions; one online for drill, past papers and quick clarifications before a class test. It keeps the relationship physical enough to matter and cheap enough in travel that a tutor will hold the slot through February. An IB and IGCSE tutor near me in Imperial Heights, Goregaon will usually propose exactly this once they have seen how your child works.

Whichever mode you pick, insist on one thing: a short written note after each session saying what was covered and what was set. It takes the tutor three minutes and it is the only evidence you will have at week four when you need to judge whether this is working. Families who skip it end up arguing about impressions. Families who keep it have a record of exactly where the Maths went from arithmetic slips to genuine algebraic error, which is a different and much more useful conversation.

  • In-person sessions expose phone use, handwriting fade and missing past-paper files
  • Online widens the pool for scarce subjects beyond anyone who can drive here
  • Hybrid keeps one diagnostic session in person and one drill session online
  • Online suits a self-starting Year 11 and fails a drifting Year 9
  • Insist on a three-line written note after every session, in any mode

What we check before a home tutor is cleared for your society gate

Verification happens in two places and you should care about both. Before a profile reaches you, IB Gram confirms identity against a government photo document, checks the subject and board claims against the person's own teaching or marking history, and takes up references from families they have taught in Mumbai. We also record exactly which areas they travel to on which days, which is the part most services skip and the part that determines whether your Thursday slot survives past Diwali. A home tutor in Mumbai who has overstated their travel radius will quietly start arriving late rather than admit it.

The second check is yours, and no platform can do it for you. On the introductory call, ask the tutor to name the syllabus code or the MYP criteria they are working to. Ask which paper they find students lose most marks on and why. Ask them to describe a student they could not help. The answers to those three questions separate someone who has taught this board from someone who has read about it. No honest tutor offers a guaranteed grade, and a tutor who talks about results before they have seen a single piece of your child's work is telling you how they sell, not how they teach.

Gate access is practical rather than bureaucratic, but get it right in week one. Imperial Heights runs a visitor register at the entrance, so the tutor's name, phone number and the flat they are visiting need to be with security before the first lesson, and a standing weekly entry saves ten minutes every single week. Tell the tutor which tower and which wing, because a stranger sent to the wrong lobby loses the first quarter of the session. Families arranging IB and IGCSE private tuition in Imperial Heights, Goregaon for the first time almost always forget this and almost always only forget it once.

Keep the session where the household can see it. The dining table or a room with the door open is correct for a school-age student, and any tutor who prefers otherwise should be declined on the spot. You do not need to sit in on the lesson, and hovering usually makes a teenager worse rather than better, but you should be in the flat and you should be able to hear that teaching is happening.

  • Photo identity, board and subject history, and references from Mumbai families
  • Travel radius recorded by day, because an overstated one shows up as lateness
  • Ask for the syllabus code, the worst-marked paper, and a student they failed
  • Put the tutor on the visitor register as a standing weekly entry in week one
  • Sessions stay in a shared room with the door open, every time

What does near me actually mean on the Link Road in Mumbai?

Near me means the tutor still turns up in March, and nothing else. Parents type it meaning distance, but distance is only a proxy for the thing that matters, which is whether the arrangement survives eight months of Mumbai evenings. An IB and IGCSE tutor near me in Imperial Heights, Goregaon who lives in Goregaon West or Malad West will hold a Tuesday half past six slot through the monsoon and through examination season. A better-credentialled tutor crossing from the Eastern Suburbs will hold it until the first week the traffic is bad, then start asking to shift to Saturdays, then stop.

The arithmetic is unforgiving and worth doing out loud. A weekly ninety-minute session with forty minutes of travel each way costs that tutor nearly three hours. Over a term, the travel alone is more time than the teaching. Tutors are rational about this: the first slot they drop when their schedule fills is always the one with the longest commute, and they drop it politely, in November, when you have no replacement. Choosing proximity over pedigree is not settling for less, it is choosing the version of the arrangement that actually exists in February.

This is where the shape of Imperial Heights helps you. Because the towers sit off the Link Road rather than deep inside a lane network, a tutor can be at your gate without fighting the last kilometre, which is the kilometre that kills slots elsewhere in the Western Suburbs. Tutors coming from Andheri or Malad use the Link Road and quote their timings from it, so their estimate is usually accurate rather than optimistic. Families arranging all IB and IGCSE subjects home classes in Imperial Heights, Goregaon should ask candidates to state their route, not their distance: the route tells you the truth and the distance does not.

So when a parent asks for the best IB and IGCSE tutor in Imperial Heights, Goregaon, the useful translation is the best tutor who can realistically be in your flat at the same time every week for three terms. Those are not the same person, and pretending they are is why so many tutoring arrangements in Mumbai, Maharashtra quietly end in January. Pick the subject specialist who lives on your side of the Western Express Highway, and buy the specialist further away online if you need them for one scarce subject.

  • Forty minutes each way costs a tutor more time than the lesson itself
  • The longest-commute slot is the first one a busy tutor drops in November
  • Ask every candidate for their route and departure time, not their distance
  • Towers sitting on the Link Road avoid the last-kilometre lane problem
  • Buy the nearby generalist in person and the scarce specialist online

Four weeks, one term and one exam cycle: what progress should look like

At four weeks you are not looking for marks, you are looking for three specific changes. Your child can say what they are bad at in a sentence that names a skill rather than a chapter. Homework starts without a fight more often than not. And the tutor can tell you, unprompted, which single error pattern they are working on. If all three are there after a month, the match is working even if the test score has not moved. If none of them are there, stop and ask for a replacement rather than giving it another month, which is what most families do and always regret. Parents booking an IB and IGCSE tutor near me in Imperial Heights, Goregaon should treat week four as a genuine decision point.

At one term the marks should have started to move, but unevenly, and that is normal. Accuracy improves before speed, and speed improves before confidence under timed conditions. A Year 10 student who was losing marks to method errors in Mathematics will usually show a clean jump once those are fixed, then plateau while they learn to read the question properly, which looks like stalling and is not. A Year 11 student doing IGCSE sciences often improves on the shorter structured papers well before the extended-response ones. Ask the tutor to show you the pattern in marked work rather than describing it.

At one examination cycle, judge the whole thing honestly. Some students gain a great deal, some gain a little, and a few do not gain much at all because the problem was never the teaching: it was sleep, or a subject chosen for the wrong reasons, or a workload no amount of home tuition will fix. IB Gram does not guarantee grades and will not publish numbers suggesting otherwise. A tutor who promises a specific grade in a first conversation is describing a sales target.

When a match is not working, say so early and plainly. We would rather replace a tutor in week three than lose a family in month four, and the replacement conversation is easier than parents expect: tell us what specifically is not working, we match again against that, and the new tutor gets a short handover note so your child does not restart from zero. There is no penalty for changing your mind, and a family on their second tutor is a completely ordinary thing, not a failure.

  • Week four: the child names a skill, homework starts easier, the tutor names one error pattern
  • Accuracy improves first, then speed, then composure in timed conditions
  • A visible plateau after an early jump usually means question-reading is being rebuilt
  • Ask to see the pattern in marked scripts rather than hearing it described
  • Replacements come with a handover note so nothing restarts from zero

Starting IB and IGCSE home classes in Imperial Heights, Goregaon, Mumbai

Have four things ready and the first session will be useful rather than introductory. The most recent marked assessment, with the marks still on it. The school's subject guide or syllabus code for the subject in question. A list of the two or three evening windows your child can realistically keep every week. And one sentence from your child, in their own words, about what they find hardest. That last one is the most useful item on the list and the one families most often skip.

The first session is diagnostic and should feel like it. A good tutor will spend much of it watching your child attempt work rather than explaining, because the error pattern only shows up when the student is the one holding the pen. By the end they should be able to tell you what they are starting with and why, in language you can repeat to your child's teacher. If the first session was all lecture, say so before the second one. Anyone arranging a home tutor for all IB and IGCSE subjects in Mumbai should expect that standard from the start.

From there the rhythm is simple: a fixed weekly slot, a three-line note after each session, a short review at week four, and a longer one at the end of term. Keep the visitor register entry standing at the Imperial Heights gate so nobody loses time at the lobby. Tell us immediately if the slot stops working, because a time that no longer fits is the single most common reason a good arrangement ends. Shifting the hour is easy, and we would always rather move a slot than replace a tutor who is teaching well.

  • Bring the last marked assessment with the marks and comments intact
  • Bring the syllabus code or subject guide your school is actually running
  • Name two or three keepable evening windows, not an ideal one
  • Expect a diagnostic first session, mostly watching your child work
  • Register the tutor at the gate once, as a standing weekly entry
FAQs

Imperial Heights, Goregaon tutoring — questions parents ask

How quickly can a tutor start home classes in Imperial Heights, Goregaon?+

For a common subject at IGCSE or MYP level, usually within a week of your first message, because tutors already working Goregaon West and Malad West can often absorb one more weekday slot. Scarce subjects take longer: Higher Level Economics, Computer Science and the less common second languages can mean a wait of two to three weeks for an evening window that genuinely holds. If your timing is urgent and the subject is scarce, the fastest route is accepting a late-afternoon slot or starting online while we hold out for the in-person match you actually want.

Can a tutor reach Imperial Heights for a seven o'clock weekday evening slot?+

Yes, if they are coming from the right side of the city. An IB and IGCSE tutor near me in Imperial Heights, Goregaon who lives in Goregaon West, Malad West or Oshiwara will manage a seven o'clock start comfortably, because they join the Link Road close to your towers. A tutor crossing from the Eastern Suburbs or from South Mumbai at that hour is making a promise the road will break, usually by the third or fourth week. Ask any candidate where they are travelling from and what time they intend to leave before you agree to an evening slot.

What do IB and IGCSE tuition fees in Imperial Heights, Goregaon depend on?+

Five things, and no honest tutor can quote you a figure before knowing them: the board, the level, how scarce the subject specialist is, how far the tutor travels to reach you, and how long each session runs. A Higher Level science specialist costs more than a Year 9 generalist for the same hour, and a tutor travelling thirty minutes each way prices that time in whether or not they itemise it. We will not publish a price list on a page like this because any number here would be wrong for somebody. Ask for the rate, the session length and the cancellation terms in one message.

Does a tutor need a gate pass for the Imperial Heights visitor register?+

Yes, and arranging it once saves time every week. Give security the tutor's name, phone number, your tower and wing, and the flat number before the first lesson, and ask for a standing weekly entry rather than a fresh visitor slip each time. Without it, a tutor arriving at twenty-five past six starts teaching at twenty to seven, and that lost quarter hour compounds across a term. If your building changes its visitor protocol mid-year, tell the tutor rather than letting them discover it at the gate on a Tuesday evening.

Is one tutor enough for both IB and IGCSE subjects?+

Usually not, and the exceptions are narrower than parents hope. Mathematics and the sciences are taught differently enough across the two boards that genuine dual-board competence is uncommon, and a tutor who claims it for four subjects is overstating. Where it does work is a single subject taught by someone who has both taught the MYP criteria and marked IGCSE papers, which exists but is not the default. For two children on different boards, two part-slots almost always beat one tutor stretched across both. Ask directly which board each candidate has actually taught, and for how long.

My child is in Year 9 and has to choose Core or Extended Mathematics. Who decides?+

The school decides formally, but you should go into that conversation with evidence rather than a preference. Ask a tutor to run a short algebra diagnostic: factorising, rearranging formulae, handling indices and solving simultaneous equations under time. Fluency there, not topic coverage, is what separates a student who will cope with Extended from one who will drown in it. Core is not a lesser choice in itself, but it narrows what is realistic at Higher Level Mathematics in the Diploma Programme later, so make the decision knowing that rather than finding out in Year 12.

What happens if there is no progress after a month?+

Tell us in week four rather than week twelve. First we check whether the problem is the match or the diagnosis: sometimes the tutor is good and the subject was never the real issue, and the honest answer is that your child needs sleep and a lighter co-curricular load more than they need another hour of Chemistry. If it is the match, we replace the tutor, and the new one receives a short handover note so your child is not restarting. Changing tutor once is ordinary. Giving a bad match a second month is the mistake families actually regret.

Online or in person for a Year 11 student sitting Cambridge papers?+

In person for the diagnostic and marking work, online for drill, is the arrangement that works best for most Year 11 students here. A tutor in the room catches the timing collapse on the long-response questions and the habit of answering the question the student wishes had been asked. Online is strong for past-paper walkthroughs, where a shared screen and an annotated script beat two people leaning over one page. A Year 11 who can work alone for twenty minutes can take more of the load online than a Year 9 ever will.

Do I need to sit in on the session, or can I leave them to it?+

Be in the flat, not in the chair. Teenagers perform worse with a parent watching and tutors teach worse too, so the useful position is nearby with the door open: you can hear that teaching is happening without being part of it. For younger students in the lower MYP years, sitting in on the first session only is reasonable so you can see how the tutor handles frustration. After that, read the post-session note instead. If a tutor wants a closed door with a school-age student, decline the match and tell us.

What should I do when a tutor is not working out but my child likes them?+

Separate the two judgements, because they often point in different directions. A tutor your child enjoys but who cannot name a single error pattern after a month is a pleasant hour, not teaching, and the comfort is not worth a term. A tutor your child finds demanding but who is visibly fixing specific mistakes is usually worth keeping through the complaining. Ask to see marked work from week one and week four side by side. If nothing identifiable has changed, replace them, and say plainly what you want handled differently next time.

Which schools do children in Imperial Heights, Goregaon usually attend?+

Most families at this address are at Witty International School or JBCN International School, Oshiwara, with others at Oberoi International School across at Goregaon East on JVLR and at Billabong High International School in Malad. IB Gram has no affiliation with any of them and names them only so you know which calendars shape the matching: mock weeks, coursework deadlines and bus timings differ between them, and those are the things that decide whether a five o'clock or a seven o'clock slot is realistic for your child.

Can a tutor travel from Andheri or Malad West on the Link Road without being late?+

Reliably from Malad West, and usually from Andheri outside the worst of the evening peak. A home tutor coming down the Link Road from Malad reaches the Imperial Heights gate predictably, which is why most of the matches we make for this address sit on that stretch. From Andheri the same trip is fine at four in the afternoon and unpredictable at half past six, so either take the earlier slot or accept that a seven o'clock start sometimes becomes ten past. Ask for the route and the departure time, then judge for yourself.
