How we match a home tutor to a Children's Academy family in Mumbai

A request for an IB and IGCSE home tutor for Children s Academy International students in Mumbai is treated as two questions, not one. The first is which course your child is actually entered for, by campus and by subject. The second is who can reach your gate on a weekday evening and keep doing it until March. Both get answered before a name is sent to you, because getting either one wrong wastes a term.

The first question is less obvious than it sounds. Children's Academy International School sits inside a group that runs more than one campus in Mumbai, and international streams change pathway and subject options between cohorts. A child in Year 9 at one campus and a child in Year 9 at another can be on different boards with different coursework obligations. So we ask for three things in writing: the campus, the board printed on the exercise book or the entry confirmation, and the subject option form your child filled in. If you do not have those, your first job is to get them from the school office, not from us.

The second question is pure logistics and we treat it as seriously as the academics. We take the pool of verified tutors who have taught the relevant board and subject, cut it to those whose own home is within a dependable evening reach of your building, and look at teaching record inside what remains. You then get two or three names with the corridor written against each, you call them yourself, and nobody visits until you have spoken to them.

The first visit is a working hour at your table with the child's last marked work open. By the end of it the tutor should be able to tell you which subjects are genuinely at risk, which are merely untidy, and what the next four visits will cover. You get that in writing the same night. If our honest view is that your child needs one subject fixed rather than the three you asked about, we will say so rather than sell you a timetable.

  • 1. Send the campus, the board on the entry confirmation and the subject options
  • 2. We shortlist by board and subject, then cut the list down by commute
  • 3. You speak to two or three tutors before any visit is scheduled
  • 4. Visit one diagnoses on the child's own marked school work
  • 5. A written verdict and a four-visit plan reach you the same night

Two boards under one roof: establishing what your child is actually entered for

This is the single most useful thing on this page, so it comes early. International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education are different systems with different assessment logic, and a school offering both will have children of the same age sitting under each. The International Baccalaureate runs the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP); IGCSE is offered by Cambridge International Education and by Pearson Edexcel, each with its own subject codes. A tutor who assumes the wrong one will teach the wrong exam technique with total confidence.

Establish the pathway in three checks. Look at what is printed on the front of the exercise book or the school's subject outline: a Cambridge or Edexcel syllabus code means IGCSE, while MYP criteria labelled A to D mean the Middle Years Programme. Look at how the last report expressed the grade: a criterion-based level is MYP, a percentage or a letter grade against a syllabus is usually IGCSE. Then confirm it with the school. The coordinator or the examinations officer is the only reliable source for the entry, the series and the subject options, and no tutor and no website should be your authority on that.

The reason to be fussy is that the next decision depends on it. A child finishing IGCSE Years 9-11 and moving into the Diploma Programme faces a jump in independent writing and in deadline management that catches strong students out. A child already in MYP Year 4 or 5 is being assessed against criteria rather than a syllabus, and revision that ignores the criteria will not move the level. Requests that arrive worded as all IB and IGCSE subjects IGCSE Years 9-11 tutor Mumbai therefore get a follow-up question, because the phrase covers at least three different jobs.

An IB and IGCSE home tutor in Mumbai who works with families from a school running both systems is used to this and should ask you the same questions we do in the first five minutes. If a tutor does not ask which board, which year and which options before quoting you an hour, that is information about the tutor.

  • IB runs PYP, MYP and DP; IGCSE comes from Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel
  • A syllabus code on the book means IGCSE; criteria A to D mean MYP
  • Criterion levels in a report point to MYP, not to an IGCSE grade
  • Only the school coordinator can confirm entry, series and options
  • A tutor who does not ask which board has not understood the request

Subject choice, HL and SL, Core and Extended, and the assessments underneath each

Subject choice at a school running both systems is where families make decisions they cannot easily reverse, and most of them are made in a rush around an option form. At IGCSE, several subjects are offered at two tiers, and the Core or Extended decision in Mathematics is the one that follows a student furthest: the tier a child takes shapes which Diploma Programme Mathematics course is realistic two years later. At Diploma level the Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL) split is the equivalent fork, and three HL subjects chosen to look impressive is a heavier week than three chosen to match how the child actually works.

Underneath the subject names sits the assessment load, which is what families consistently underestimate. Diploma subjects each carry an Internal Assessment (IA), and alongside them sit the Extended Essay (EE) and Theory of Knowledge (TOK), all with their own school deadlines. The Middle Years Programme has its criterion-based tasks and the personal project. Some IGCSE subjects carry coursework or practical components and some do not. Add them up before choosing, because a combination that is academically sensible can still produce three major drafts due in the same fortnight.

This is what all IB and IGCSE subjects a tutor in Mumbai can usefully cover actually means in practice: not every subject at once, but the two or three where the assessment load and the child's weakest skill overlap. A student who writes slowly should not be carrying two essay-heavy Higher Level subjects and an Extended Essay without support in place from the start of the year. A student strong in Mathematics and weak in written reflection needs help with the IA write-up rather than with the mathematics inside it.

What nobody should take from a page like this one is the structure itself. The IB revises subject guides on its own cycle, Cambridge and Pearson revise syllabuses on theirs, and schools change their option blocks between cohorts. Get the current component list, the tier definitions and the deadline calendar from the relevant subject guide and from your coordinator, and treat any number you read online about weightings or paper lengths as out of date until the school confirms it.

  • Core or Extended at IGCSE shapes which DP Mathematics course is realistic
  • Three Higher Level subjects is a workload decision, not a prestige decision
  • Count the Internal Assessments, Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge together
  • Target the two or three subjects where load and weakness overlap
  • Take component structure from the current subject guide, not from any website

Which Mumbai corridors families commute from, and what that does to a 6pm slot

Children's Academy International School draws most heavily from the Western Suburbs, and the commute pattern there is north and south along the Western Line and the Western Express Highway rather than across the city. Families in Malad East, Kandivali East, Borivali, Goregaon, Dahisar and Charkop are on the same spine, and Metro Lines 2A and 7 have made that spine far more usable in the evening than Link Road alone ever was. Tutors are matched along it: a tutor living in Borivali will hold a weekly slot in Kandivali East for a year, and will struggle to hold one in Chembur past November.

Beyond that spine the city behaves differently in each direction, and we cover all of it. In South Mumbai the distances are short and the evening signals at Peddar Road and Haji Ali are slow, so families in Tardeo, Parel, Worli and Marine Lines are matched within the island, helped now by the Coastal Road and by Metro Line 3. In the Central Suburbs, Powai and Chandivali have no station of their own and are reached by road from Andheri East, Kanjurmarg or Ghatkopar along JVLR, with the Central Line and the Eastern Express Highway serving everything from Kurla upward and the Santacruz-Chembur Link Road carrying tutors across.

The Eastern Suburbs run from Chembur and Govandi through Vikhroli and Bhandup to Mulund West on the Central and Harbour lines, with the Eastern Freeway making the trip down to South Mumbai quicker than the map suggests. Navi Mumbai is matched node to node, because Vashi, Nerul, Belapur, Kharghar and Panvel sit a short drive from one another on Palm Beach Road and the Sion-Panvel Highway, with the Harbour and Trans-Harbour lines and Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 alongside. The Atal Setu has made the crossing from the island city real, but we would not build a year-long weekday slot on it. Thane follows Pokhran Road, Majiwada and the long Ghodbunder Road run out to Kasarvadavali, and Thane tutors cover Thane.

All of which is why travel time, not distance, decides the shortlist. A search for IB and IGCSE tutors near me Mumbai returns names with no idea which side of the Sea Link anybody lives on, and that single omission is what turns a promising first month into a tutor asking to move to Sunday mornings. Mumbai, Maharashtra is a city where eight kilometres can cost forty minutes at the wrong hour, so we ask for your building name before we ask for the target grade. An IB and IGCSE home tutor for Children s Academy International students in Mumbai has to make the same trip fifty times, and the fiftieth one is the test.

  • Western Suburbs spine: Malad East, Kandivali East, Borivali, Goregaon, Dahisar
  • South Mumbai: Tardeo, Parel, Worli and Marine Lines matched within the island
  • Central Suburbs: Powai and Chandivali reached by road via JVLR from Andheri East
  • Eastern Suburbs: Chembur, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund West on the Central Line
  • Navi Mumbai nodes: Vashi, Nerul, Belapur, Kharghar and Panvel, matched locally
  • Thane: Pokhran Road, Majiwada and Ghodbunder Road to Kasarvadavali

The school's calendar and reporting rhythm, and reading it honestly

The rhythm at a Mumbai school running both systems is predictable in shape even when the dates move. A settling term, then interim feedback, then a cluster of internal assessments and mocks, then parent-teacher conferences, then the stretch where coursework and Internal Assessment deadlines land close together, then the external series. Families notice the external series and underestimate the deadline stretch, which is the part that actually determines the reports.

Reports from a school like this one can arrive in two languages at once, and parents are rarely told that. A Middle Years Programme subject reports a criterion level with a descriptor; an IGCSE subject reports a grade or percentage against a syllabus. The two are not comparable and should never be averaged in your head. Read the descriptor rather than the number: a criterion comment about communicating reasoning is a writing instruction, and it is more useful to a tutor than the level beside it. Ask your tutor after a month what the school's comments are consistently pointing at, across subjects. The pattern is usually one skill, not six.

IB Gram is an independent tutor-matching platform. We are not affiliated with Children's Academy International School, we hold no endorsement from it or from any other school mentioned here, and we do not guarantee grades. Naming the school is context so that families searching for it can find a tutor who understands the pathway question. Our tutors do not speak to schools on a family's behalf, do not name individual teachers in their session notes, and do not comment on school staffing.

What a tutor should do is work to the school's own paperwork. The task sheet the teacher issued, the rubric attached to it, and the teacher's written feedback on the last piece are the three documents that matter, and they beat any generic revision guide. If you can put those three things on the table for the first visit, the tutor can start from where the school already is instead of spending two sessions guessing. IB and IGCSE home tuition in Mumbai works best when it is unglamorously aligned with what the school asked for.

  • The deadline stretch, not the external series, decides most reports
  • MYP criterion levels and IGCSE grades are not comparable numbers
  • Read the descriptor and the comment, not the level beside it
  • Tutors work from the school's task sheet, rubric and written feedback
  • IB Gram has no affiliation with, or endorsement from, the school

Home tuition in Mumbai first, then online, then a deliberate hybrid

An IB and IGCSE home tutor for Children s Academy International students in Mumbai is the lead booking here because most of the work is paperwork the student has to be sitting in front of. A task sheet, a rubric, a marked draft and a half-finished Internal Assessment plan spread across a dining table can all be seen at once, and a tutor can put a finger on the criterion and then on the sentence that fails to meet it. On a shared screen the student sees whichever document is on top.

The honest costs are travel and commitment. A tutor's evening journey is part of what you are paying for, which narrows who can reach you and on which day. Missed visits are hard to move because the slot after yours belongs to a family nearby. And the household has to supply a table, an hour and an open door, which in a flat with a younger child is an adult decision rather than a tutor's request.

An IB and IGCSE online tutor in Mumbai is genuinely the better option in four situations, and we will tell you when we see one: no verified specialist for that subject lives within sane reach of your node, the family is travelling, the child is unwell, or the external papers are a fortnight away and travel has become too expensive. What is lost online is small and real, mostly the pause before an answer and the ability to rotate a page and say read that line again.

Hybrid is where families carrying several Internal Assessments usually end up, and it works much better when planned than when drifted into. One weekly visit at the table for marking and planning, plus one short call before a draft is submitted, covers both the thinking and the deadline. Agree the pattern in week one. If a tutor booked for weekly home classes starts proposing calls instead, that is a travel problem and it is a week-three conversation rather than a week-twelve one.

  • Home tuition leads: task sheet, rubric, draft and feedback all visible at once
  • The honest cost of home visits is a tutor's travel time in your fee
  • Online suits scarce specialists, travel, illness and the final fortnight
  • What a screen loses is the pause before an answer and the shared page
  • Hybrid works when agreed in week one: table session plus a pre-draft call

What is checked before a tutor reaches your gate in Mumbai?

Five things, before any name reaches you. Government photo identity. An address proof that confirms the corridor the tutor claimed, because a tutor who says Kandivali and lives in Vasai will be late from February onward. A documented record of teaching the specific board and subject. A subject conversation with somebody who has read the relevant papers or guides. And references from families the tutor has worked with in Mumbai. That is the shortlist for an IB and IGCSE home tutor for Children s Academy International students in Mumbai, and it removes the obvious problems rather than certifying a person.

We also check board-specific experience rather than accepting a general claim. Diploma Programme Chemistry and IGCSE Chemistry are not the same teaching job, and a tutor comfortable with one may be guessing at the other. Where a tutor has strong technique in one system and limited exposure to the other, we say so on the shortlist and let you decide, because for some families technique matters more than coverage and for others the reverse is true.

Then there are checks only you can make, and they take one call and one session. Ask which year groups the tutor's last three students were in and what specifically changed. Ask the tutor to mark one of your child's returned pieces while you listen, and notice whether the rubric gets mentioned at all. Sit within earshot of the first hour. Be wary of anybody offering a guaranteed grade, because nothing stands behind that sentence. The best IB and IGCSE tutor in Mumbai for a child who writes fluently but misses the criteria may be the most pedantic person on your list rather than the most reassuring.

At the door, two checks on the first visit. The person who arrives is the person in the profile we sent, and the name entered in the gate register matches. If a substitute ever turns up without prior notice, that is not a scheduling detail, and we want to know the same day.

  • Photo identity and address proof verified before a shortlist is issued
  • Board and subject experience checked separately, not accepted as one claim
  • References taken from previous Mumbai families, not generic testimonials
  • Watch one returned piece marked aloud and listen for the rubric
  • Profile and gate register must name the person standing at your door

How does a tutor work alongside your child's teachers rather than against them?

By teaching the school's method first and offering any alternative second. A tutor who tells a child that her teacher's approach is wrong has created a problem the child cannot solve, because she still has to submit work to that teacher. The rule our tutors work to is simple: the school's method is the one that gets practised for assessment, and a different technique is introduced as a second tool only once the first is secure.

The same restraint applies to assessed work, and on this there is no room for interpretation. A tutor does not draft, rewrite, restructure or supply content for an Internal Assessment, an Extended Essay, a personal project or any piece of coursework. The IB has academic honesty requirements and the examination boards have their own rules on candidate authenticity, and a student whose submitted work is not her own is risking far more than a grade. What a tutor legitimately does is ask questions about the student's own draft, point at the criterion the draft has not met, teach the skill that gap needs, and hand the work back for the student to fix herself. A good tutor leaves fingerprints on the student's ability and none on the page.

Practically, alignment looks like this. The tutor reads the task sheet and the rubric before planning the session. The tutor uses the teacher's written feedback as the agenda rather than inventing one. If the school is running a mock in a fortnight, the plan bends towards it. If the school's deadline calendar puts two drafts in the same week, the tutor says so and reorders the work instead of adding to it. And where a tutor genuinely disagrees with how something has been marked, the message goes to the parent in plain language, for the parent to raise with the school if they choose. The tutor does not become a second voice in the child's academic life competing with the first.

Our tutors also keep the school out of their notes in one specific sense: no individual teacher is named, praised or criticised in a written session note. There is a practical reason beyond manners. Those notes get forwarded, screenshotted and quoted, and a sentence written casually about a named teacher can damage a relationship the family depends on for predicted grades and references. The note describes what the child did and what comes next. That is all a note needs to do. A home tutor for all IB and IGCSE subjects Mumbai families rely on is useful in proportion to how little friction they create with the school.

  • The school's method is practised for assessment; alternatives come second
  • No tutor drafts or rewrites an Internal Assessment, Extended Essay or coursework
  • Teacher feedback and the rubric set the session agenda, not a generic plan
  • Disagreements about marking go to the parent, never to the child
  • Session notes never name, praise or criticise an individual teacher

What should progress look like by the next Mumbai reporting cycle?

At four weeks, process rather than grades. The markers worth watching are whether your child reads the rubric before starting a piece, whether drafts now get planned instead of begun, and whether she can say in her own words which criterion her last piece missed. Grades at a school reporting on criteria or on syllabus assessments move across a reporting cycle, not across a month, and anyone claiming otherwise in week two is guessing.

By one full term, you should see a report comment that shifts, and your tutor should be able to name the specific skill that moved and the evidence for it. Across one external cycle, expect the gap between predicted and achieved to narrow, and expect the more durable change: a student who manages a deadline calendar without being chased. For a child moving from IGCSE Years 9-11 into the Diploma Programme, that habit is worth more than any individual subject gain, because the Diploma punishes poor scheduling harder than it punishes gaps in content.

The limits are worth stating plainly. We do not guarantee grades. A tutor who promises a particular result in the next series is describing a sales technique rather than your child. Attendance, whether anything happens between visits, and where in the course you start all cap what is possible: a Year 9 beginning after the monsoon has room to rebuild skills, while a Diploma student starting three months before papers is triaging, and we would rather say that in the first call.

If it is not working, raise it at visit three or four. Write to us with what you have actually seen: the hour is mostly conversation, the slot keeps moving, your child goes quiet when he arrives, nothing gets marked. We talk to the tutor first, because early mismatches are often about pace, slot or room rather than ability. If the person is genuinely wrong for your child, we arrange a replacement from the same shortlist without you starting a new search, and the diagnostic and notes go across so visit one is not a repeat of work already done.

  • Four weeks: the rubric read before starting and drafts planned, not begun
  • One term: a report comment that shifts, with the skill named and evidenced
  • One external cycle: a narrower predicted-to-achieved gap and self-managed deadlines
  • Starting point, attendance and independent work all cap the outcome
  • Flag a weak match at visit three or four, not at the end of the year

Getting started: what to have ready before the first home classes session

One message to begin, with six things in it: the campus, your child's year group, the board printed on the entry confirmation or exercise book, the subject options, two evenings that are genuinely free, and your area and building name. If you are unsure about the board, say so and send a photograph of the last report instead. We would rather spend a message resolving that than send you a Diploma specialist for a Middle Years Programme student.

Before the first visit, put four documents on the cleared table: the most recent marked piece with the teacher's comments on it, the task sheet and rubric for whatever is currently due, the last report, and the school's deadline calendar if the coordinator has issued one. Those four give a tutor more in ten minutes than an hour of discussion. Add the tutor's name to your society's visitor list a day ahead, because the first visit is the one that gets held at the barrier.

The session itself is a working diagnostic. The tutor reads the marked piece, asks your child to talk through one answer or one paragraph, sets a short timed task, and marks it in front of her against the actual criteria rather than against a general impression. It closes with a verdict in plain words: which subjects are at risk, which skill is costing the most across all of them, and what the next four visits will do about it. That reaches you in writing the same night.

After that it should be dull and regular. Same evening, same table, a written note every week, and a short conversation at the door about what went wrong that day and what happens before the next visit. All IB and IGCSE subjects home classes Mumbai parents book through us run on that pattern. If you have doubts at visit three, say so then. Changing tutors costs you one conversation, and a term of being polite about an hour that is not working costs considerably more.

  • Send campus, year group, board, subject options, two evenings and your building
  • Unsure of the board? Send a photo of the last report instead of guessing
  • Have the marked piece, task sheet, rubric, report and deadline calendar out
  • Visit one: a timed task marked aloud against the real criteria
  • Written verdict and a four-visit plan the same night, then a weekly note
FAQs

Mumbai tutoring — questions parents ask

Will a tutor travel to Kandivali East or Malad East for a weekday evening slot?+

Yes, and this is the easiest part of Mumbai to staff reliably for this school. Kandivali East, Malad East, Borivali, Goregaon and Dahisar sit on one spine served by the Western Line, the Western Express Highway and Metro Lines 2A and 7, so a tutor living anywhere along it can hold a fixed weekday evening through the year. The risk we watch for is a tutor coming from the Central or Eastern Suburbs across the city, which works in September and starts slipping by November. If no verified specialist for your subject lives on the spine, we will say so and propose a hybrid plan instead.

How does a tutor get cleared at our building gate for a weekly visit?+

Once, in advance, and then it runs itself. We send you the tutor's full name, photo identity reference and mobile number so you can add the name to your society's visitor list or standing-entry register, as you would for a music teacher or a physiotherapist. Buildings using app-based approval only need the number saved on a resident's phone. Inform the office a day before the first visit, because that is the one that gets stopped at the barrier. If your committee requires police verification paperwork for recurring service visitors, tell us and the tutor will provide what is asked for.

How do we confirm which board and which campus our child is actually registered under?+

Ask the school office or the programme coordinator in writing, and keep the reply. Three documents settle it: the entry or registration confirmation, the subject option form your child submitted, and the current subject outline the teacher issued. A Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel syllabus code on any of them means IGCSE; criteria labelled A to D mean the Middle Years Programme. Do not rely on what an older sibling did, because option blocks and pathways change between cohorts, and do not rely on a tutor's assumption. We ask for this before matching precisely because getting it wrong costs a term of the wrong exam technique.

Can a tutor help with an Internal Assessment without crossing an academic honesty line?+

Yes, and the line is clearer than most families expect. A tutor may explain the criteria, ask questions about the student's own draft, point out where the draft fails to meet a criterion, teach the underlying skill, and discuss structure in general terms. A tutor may not write, rewrite, restructure or supply content, and may not generate the data or the analysis. The practical test is whether the words and decisions on the submitted page are the student's. If a tutor offers to tidy up a draft for you, decline, because the IB and the examination boards treat authenticity seriously and the student carries the consequence.

Our child does IGCSE now and moves to the Diploma Programme next year. Same tutor or a new one?+

It depends on whether the tutor has genuinely taught the Diploma, and you should ask directly rather than assume. Continuity is valuable: a tutor who already knows how your child works saves a term of discovery. But Diploma subjects demand independent writing, research and deadline management that IGCSE does not, and a tutor who has only taught IGCSE will be learning alongside your child. We check Diploma teaching experience separately from IGCSE experience for this reason. Where a tutor is strong on one and thin on the other, we tell you on the shortlist and let you weigh continuity against expertise.

What do IB and IGCSE tuition fees in Mumbai depend on?+

Five factors, and any page quoting you a figure is not being straight. Board and level matter, because a verified Diploma Higher Level specialist is a narrower pool than a general school-subject tutor. Subject scarcity matters, and some Diploma subjects have very few experienced teachers in any one corridor. Travel distance matters, because the evening a tutor spends on the Western Express Highway is time nobody can teach in. Session length and weekly frequency matter. So does documented experience with the specific board rather than the subject in general. Ask any tutor to justify a rate against those five and listen to the answer.

Should a parent be at home while the session runs?+

Someone adult should be in the flat, and the useful distance is the next room with the door open. You will hear whether your child is talking or being talked at, whether the rubric gets mentioned, and whether the tutor explains or merely corrects, and none of that appears in a written note. Sitting at the table changes how a teenager behaves and usually makes the hour less productive. For the first three or four visits we would ask a parent to be present in the house and at the door for the handover afterwards, after which many families step back entirely.

Will the tutor contact the school or the subject teacher directly?+

No. Our tutors do not contact schools, teachers or coordinators on a family's behalf, and they do not name individual teachers in their written session notes. Anything a tutor thinks the school should hear goes to you, in plain language, and you decide whether to raise it. There are two reasons. The relationship with the school belongs to the family, not to a tutor, and predicted grades and references depend on it. And a casual written remark about a named teacher has a way of travelling further than intended. The tutor's job stops at your door.

Core or Extended for IGCSE Mathematics? Can a tutor advise on that?+

A tutor can give you useful evidence, but the decision belongs to you and the school. What a tutor can do is set a few Extended-tier questions, watch how your child handles them, and tell you honestly whether the gap is a few weeks of work or a structural one. What the school knows, and a tutor does not, is how this cohort has been taught and what the department expects. The reason to take it seriously is that the tier shapes which Diploma Mathematics course is realistic later, so confirm the implications with the coordinator before the option form goes back.

What happens if our tutor's method contradicts what the teacher taught in class?+

The school's method wins for assessed work, and a good tutor says so out loud. A child told her teacher is wrong is stuck, because she still submits to that teacher. So our tutors teach the school's approach until it is secure, then offer an alternative as a second tool if it genuinely helps. Where a tutor believes something has been marked unfairly, the observation comes to you rather than to your child, and you choose whether to raise it. If a tutor repeatedly undermines the classroom in front of your child, tell us, because that is a match we will change.

Which months are hardest for a Mumbai family running both boards at once?+

The stretch where internal deadlines stack, which usually sits between the mock cycle and the external series rather than during either. Families watch the external dates and get ambushed by a fortnight holding an Internal Assessment draft, a coursework submission and two mocks. If you have children on both pathways, those fortnights rarely align, so build one shared calendar for the household. The quiet window after the monsoon settles is the best time to start a weekly tutor, because there is room to build habits before anything is at stake.

Find your Mumbai tutor

Send one message with the campus, your child's year group, the board on the entry confirmation, the subject options, your building and two free evenings. If the board is unclear, send a photo of the last report and we will work it out with you first. You will then get two or three verified tutors with their corridor and travel time against each name, you speak to them yourself, and the first visit is a diagnostic at your own table with a written verdict the same night.
