IB Home Tutor in Seven Bungalows, Mumbai

An IB home tutor in Seven Bungalows arrives by car more often than by train, parks on the lane without circling, and is upstairs in a four-storey building before the kettle boils. That small logistical fact is why standing weekday evening slots actually hold here. IB Gram matches families along the Seven Bungalows–Versova corridor with verified subject specialists for Years 1 to 12.

How do you get an IB home tutor in Seven Bungalows into the house by next week?

Send one message with the child's year group, the IB programme they are in and the two or three subjects that are actually slipping. IB Gram comes back with a shortlist of tutors who already work this side of Andheri West, usually within a day. For most Seven Bungalows families the first session happens inside a week, and nothing is paid before you have met the person. The request we see most often is for all IB and IGCSE subjects a tutor in Seven Bungalows can hold under one roof, which is sometimes one person and sometimes two.

What we ask for is deliberately short, because a long form filters out exactly the parents who are in a hurry. The year group and the programme tell us which assessment the child is sitting. The subject list tells us whether one tutor can hold the whole brief or whether two specialists should split the week. The slot you can realistically keep tells us more than anything else. A 5pm start works for a Middle Years Programme student who is home by half past four, while a Diploma Programme student who reaches Seven Bungalows at six needs 7pm, which is the hardest hour on this corridor and the reason some matches never settle into a routine.

The shortlist is drawn from the Versova pocket first. A tutor living in Versova, Four Bungalows or Andheri West reaches a Seven Bungalows address in the time it takes somebody from Malad to clear the Western Express Highway merge. This is arithmetic rather than preference. The Western Suburbs run north and south along the Western Line, so a tutor travelling Bandra to Andheri is quick off-peak and punished at 6pm, and a match that asks a person to cross the suburb twice a week in that hour quietly dies by the fourth session. Matching along the line, the way Khar pairs with Santacruz and Malad with Kandivali, is what survives a full term of home tuition.

After the first home tuition session you tell us one thing: keep going, or re-match. Two weeks in we ask again, because that is the point at which a parent can tell the difference between a tutor the child tolerates and a tutor the child actually works for. If the answer is re-match, nobody starts again from nothing. We go back to the same Seven Bungalows shortlist carrying what you have learned, and the replacement usually knows the subject brief before the first visit.

  • 1. Tell us the year group, the IB programme and the subjects slipping
  • 2. We filter for tutors already travelling the Seven Bungalows–Versova corridor
  • 3. You see board experience, subject depth and the evening slots each has free
  • 4. You pick a slot and the first home tuition session happens in your flat
  • 5. At two weeks you tell us to continue or to re-match, with no restart

Which IB years does a Seven Bungalows home tutor cover, PYP, MYP or DP?

All of them, from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) through the Middle Years Programme (MYP) to the Diploma Programme (DP), Years 1 to 12. What changes between them is what the tutor is actually for. In PYP the work is reading and number fluency. In MYP it is command terms and assessment criteria. In DP it is the architecture of the whole subject load plus the core, all with deadlines that collide. Our own listing line reads all IB and IGCSE subjects IB and IGCSE, Years 1-12 tutor Mumbai, which is a clumsy way of saying one platform, both boards and every year group.

A PYP tutor in a Seven Bungalows flat is not there to drill worksheets. The vocabulary of a unit of inquiry is what trips a child who reads slowly, because a Year 4 student who cannot decode the question will never show what she knows about the answer. So the hour goes on reading aloud, on explaining a word before using it, on number sense rather than speed, and on getting a sentence out of the child before it goes on paper. Parents who expect a textbook and a red pen sometimes find this unfamiliar, and the tutor should be able to explain that choice in the first session.

MYP is when most Seven Bungalows parents first get in touch. Each subject group is assessed against published criteria grids, and a child who writes a clean paragraph can still score low because the paragraph answered a different command term from the one printed on the task sheet. Analyse, evaluate, justify and describe are not interchangeable, and a tutor's first job is often to read the task sheet with the student until the verb becomes visible. The Personal Project in the final MYP year is the first genuinely independent piece of work, with a process journal attached, and organisation rather than ability tends to decide how it lands.

DP is the heaviest brief in the house. A split of subjects between Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL), an Internal Assessment (IA) attached to nearly every one, plus the Extended Essay (EE) and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) running alongside. Do not take component weightings, paper counts or durations from any blog, this one included. The International Baccalaureate (IB) revises subject guides on its own cycle, so the current guide and the school's internal deadline calendar should come from the DP coordinator. Core and Extended tier choices sit on the IGCSE page in this set rather than here.

  • PYP: reading fluency, number sense and getting the sentence out loud first
  • MYP: criteria grids per subject group, and the command term on the task sheet
  • Personal Project: a process journal, where organisation decides the outcome
  • DP: a Higher Level and Standard Level split, plus the core and its deadlines
  • Structure, weightings and dates come from the school's DP coordinator, not a page

Subject choice, HL and SL decisions, and the internal assessments that follow

The decision that shapes two years is made in a few weeks at the end of Year 10 or the start of DP1: which subjects go to Higher Level and which stay at Standard Level. Each of them carries its own internal assessment, so the choice is not only about interest and university plans. It is about how many long independent pieces of writing a particular child can run at once.

The shape of the work differs sharply by subject group. A Group 4 science IA is an individual investigation: a research question narrow enough to be answerable, a method the student can actually run, and uncertainty treated honestly rather than hidden. A Mathematics exploration lives or dies on the question, and a well-presented piece built on a trivial question cannot be rescued late. Language A asks for close reading of specific texts rather than general literary opinion. Individuals and Societies IAs reward a tight source base over a wide one. Group 6 and the performing subjects run on process portfolios where the documentation is the assessment, not an afterthought.

Here is the collision a DP1 at a school like JBCN International School, Oshiwara actually meets. The Group 4 IA proposal is due in one fortnight. The TOK exhibition draft is due in the same fortnight. A Mathematics exploration topic is supposed to be chosen before the term ends, and there is a Language A assessment in between. Nothing in that list is unmanageable alone, and all four together is where a capable student stalls. A tutor who comes to the house twice a week in that period is doing triage as much as teaching, and the honest sequencing conversation matters more than another hour of content.

Subject scarcity is the other real constraint. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Business Management and English are well covered across the Western Suburbs, so a tutor for those can usually be in Seven Bungalows for a weekday evening. A less common HL subject, a second language at a high level or a specialist arts option may have very few tutors in Mumbai at all, and for those the honest answer is online with a specialist rather than a nearby generalist who will be learning the syllabus a week ahead of your child. We list tutors for all IB and IGCSE subjects home classes Seven Bungalows families ask about each term, and we will say plainly when the right answer is a screen rather than a doorbell.

  • Group 4 IA: a narrow research question and uncertainty reported honestly
  • Mathematics exploration: the question decides the ceiling, so choose it early
  • Language A: close reading of set texts, not general literary opinion
  • Arts and performance: the process portfolio is the assessment, not a record
  • Scarce HL subjects may be online specialists rather than local generalists

Versova, Four Bungalows and Andheri West: the pool a Seven Bungalows family draws from

Almost every tutor who takes a standing weekday slot for IB home tuition in Seven Bungalows lives within about fifteen minutes of it, in Versova, Four Bungalows or Andheri West. That is the working radius. Beyond it, the match depends on the hour of the day rather than on the tutor, which is a bad foundation for a two-year programme. Parents who type IB tutors near me Seven Bungalows into a search box at 9pm usually mean something precise by it: somebody close enough to still be arriving on time in week nine.

Seven Bungalows sits at the far western edge of Andheri in Mumbai, Maharashtra, with the sea at one end of it and Link Road inland. The geography is simple once you stop reading the map as distance. Versova is the terminus of Metro Line 1 (Versova–Andheri–Ghatkopar), so a tutor coming from Andheri or even the Ghatkopar end has a rail option that ignores road traffic entirely, and that matters for weekend slots more than weekday ones. Link Road and the Western Express Highway carry everything north and south, and Metro Lines 2A and 7 (Dahisar–Andheri–Gundavali) have made the Dahisar and Borivali end reachable in a way it was not a few years ago. The Western Line (Bandra–Dahisar) remains the spine for anyone travelling up from Bandra, Khar or Santacruz.

What this means in practice is a rule we apply to every Seven Bungalows request. Match along the line, not across it. A tutor from Santacruz or Khar can hold a 7pm slot here for a whole term. A tutor who has to come from the eastern side of the city through the Andheri bottleneck will manage it brilliantly for three weeks and then start asking to shift the day. A tutor from Four Bungalows, a few minutes away, is the one who still turns up on the evening it rains, and across Mumbai that reliability is worth more to a DP2 student than a marginally more decorated CV.

Then there is the thing that is genuinely true of Seven Bungalows and not of its neighbours. It stays low-rise and residential right down to the Versova beach end, so parking is easy, and tutors who drive openly prefer it to Lokhandwala, where a 7pm arrival can mean ten minutes of circling before the hour even starts. A tutor who knows she can park on the lane will take a Seven Bungalows evening slot she would decline two kilometres away. Parents here get a wider pool for the same fee because of a parking fact, which is not an obvious advantage until you have lost a tutor over it.

  • Versova: Metro Line 1 terminus, so weekend tutors can skip road traffic
  • Four Bungalows: the closest pool, and the most weather-proof weekday match
  • Andheri West: the largest pool, but the 6pm crossing decides the slot
  • Link Road and the Western Express Highway carry everything north and south
  • Easy parking near the Versova beach end widens the pool at no extra cost

What the school calendar in Seven Bungalows does to your evenings

Children here mostly travel a short way inland to school, and the two names that come up most in Seven Bungalows enquiries are JBCN International School, Oshiwara and Billabong High International School. IB Gram is an independent platform and is not affiliated with either of them, or with any other school on this page. We name them because their calendars set the pressure points your evenings have to absorb.

The daily shape is predictable. A child in the MYP years is usually home between four and half past, tired but still able to work, which makes a 5pm or half past five start the easiest hour of the week to protect. DP students come home later, often closer to six, and then need to eat before anything useful happens. That is why 7pm is the most requested home tuition slot in Seven Bungalows and the one that fills first every term. If your child's realistic hour is 7pm on a Tuesday, say so in the first message rather than after two tutors have already been matched.

The annual shape matters more. October and November are when internal assessment drafts and school examinations stack up against each other. February and March are mock season, and the mock result is the one that produces the panicked search for a tutor. April and May belong to the May examination series, by which point adding a new subject tutor is damage control rather than teaching. The quietest and most productive months are June through September, which is precisely when almost nobody calls. A family that starts home classes in July pays the same as a family that starts in February and gets three times the room to work in.

Ask the school for the internal deadline calendar and put it where everyone can see it. A tutor who plans against the school's own dates stops guessing. What a tutor should not be doing is repeating the school lesson with a different voice. The useful version takes the teacher's feedback sheet, identifies the two criteria that keep losing marks, and works on those until the next piece of work comes back different.

  • MYP students are usually free from about 5pm, DP students closer to 7pm
  • October and November: internal assessment drafts collide with school exams
  • February and March mocks produce most of the urgent tutor requests in Mumbai
  • June to September is the quiet window and the cheapest time in effort
  • Work from the school's feedback sheet, not from a repeat of the lesson

Home classes, online or hybrid for an IB student in Seven Bungalows?

Start with home. In this locality the case for an IB home tutor in Seven Bungalows is unusually strong, because the travel that makes home tuition expensive elsewhere in Mumbai is cheap here. Easy parking and a short ride from Versova or Four Bungalows mean the tutor spends the hour teaching rather than recovering from the journey, and a tired tutor teaches a worse lesson than a fresh one.

Home classes also solve things a screen cannot. A tutor in the room sees the page the student is actually writing on, spots the handwriting that slows down when confidence drops, and can take a worked example away to mark. For a child who quietly stops paying attention after twenty minutes, physical presence is the intervention. The honest cost is rigidity: a home slot is a fixed hour on a fixed day in a fixed flat, and when the child has a school trip or the tutor has a family emergency, that hour is simply lost.

Online is better in specific situations, and pretending otherwise wastes everybody's time. An IB online tutor in Seven Bungalows can be the right call for a scarce Higher Level subject, for intensive exam-season sessions where you want three short meetings rather than one long one, for the monsoon weeks when nobody should be on the road at 7pm, and for a student who is travelling. Screen sharing a worked solution is genuinely good now. What online loses is the unprompted glance at the page and the informal five minutes after the hour, which is often where the real question appears.

The pattern that holds best over a term is hybrid: one longer home session a week for the teaching, plus a shorter online checkpoint before a deadline. That keeps the fixed hour that gives the week its shape and adds flexibility where it is needed. Whichever mode you choose, agree it in writing before the first session, along with what happens to a missed hour, because that one unanswered question causes more ended matches than teaching quality ever does.

  • Home first here: short travel and easy parking keep the tutor fresh
  • Home classes catch the slowing handwriting and the quiet drift at minute twenty
  • Online wins for scarce HL subjects, monsoon weeks and short exam-season bursts
  • Hybrid: one home session for teaching, one online checkpoint before a deadline
  • Agree the missed-session rule in writing before the first hour, not after

How does IB Gram check a home tutor in Mumbai before you meet them?

Every tutor is checked on four things before being listed: identity with a government photo document, the degree or qualification claimed, demonstrated experience with the specific board and programme, and references from families or schools they have worked with. A profile that cannot clear all four does not go up. Before an IB home tutor in Seven Bungalows is sent to you, somebody has read that profile against your actual request.

Board experience is the check that matters most and the one parents under-weight. A brilliant university graduate who has never seen an MYP criterion grid or an IA moderation comment will teach excellent content and still leave your child losing the same marks. We ask tutors which syllabus versions they have taught, which internal assessments they have supervised, and what they do when a student's draft is strong on content and weak against the criteria. Vague answers are the signal.

Then there is the part only you can do, in the first forty minutes, in your own living room. Ask the tutor to explain the difference between analyse and evaluate as the mark scheme uses them. Ask which criterion your child is losing marks against and how they know. Ask to see the current subject guide on their phone or laptop, and watch whether they reach for it comfortably. Ask what they will do in the first three sessions. A tutor who answers those four clearly is almost always worth keeping, whatever else the profile says. Parents often ask who the best IB tutor in Seven Bungalows is, and the only useful version of that answer is the person whose replies to those four questions are specific rather than reassuring.

One warning sign is worth stating plainly. Be wary of a tutor who offers a guaranteed grade, because no honest tutor can offer one. IB Gram does not guarantee grades either, and anybody selling an outcome is selling something they do not control. A good tutor will tell you what they think is achievable and what would have to change for it, and they will say it before you have paid for a month. The same goes for anyone claiming an inside relationship with a school: IB Gram is independent and not affiliated with the schools named here, and you should treat such claims from anybody as a reason to ask more questions.

  • Identity, qualification, board experience and references, all before listing
  • Ask which syllabus versions and which internal assessments they have supervised
  • Ask the tutor to separate analyse from evaluate as the mark scheme does
  • Ask to see the current subject guide, and watch how easily they open it
  • Be wary of a tutor who offers a guaranteed grade or claims school connections

Why the same 7pm slot every week decides whether IB home tuition in Seven Bungalows works

The single best predictor of whether home tuition helps is not the tutor's qualification. It is whether the slot survives. A fixed Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm that holds for eleven weeks beats a better tutor whose slot moves three times, because IB work is cumulative and a moved session breaks the chain between the draft and the feedback on it.

Slots break for boring reasons, nearly all of them geographic. The tutor took a second family on the far side of Andheri West and now arrives at a quarter past. The 6pm crossing got worse after the monsoon dug up a stretch of road. The tutor's own commute changed and the Western Express Highway leg now takes twenty minutes longer than it did in June. This is why we match inside the Versova pocket wherever possible and why the easy parking in Seven Bungalows matters so much: a tutor who can stop on the lane and walk up has removed the most common ten minutes of slippage before it happens. An IB home tutor in Seven Bungalows who lives in Four Bungalows is simply more likely to still be arriving on time in week nine.

Look at an evening from the tutor's side and the economics become obvious. An hour of teaching in Seven Bungalows costs a nearby tutor perhaps twenty-five minutes of travel in total. The same hour in a locality where she has to circle for parking can cost her an hour of road. A tutor with a finite week sells that hour to whoever wastes least of her evening, which is why families here get access to tutors who have stopped taking work in harder-to-reach pockets. It also explains why two tutors with identical qualifications quote differently for the same subject. An IB private tutor Seven Bungalows families book for a fixed 7pm Tuesday is pricing the whole evening, not the hour you see.

Which brings us to money. IB tuition fees in Seven Bungalows depend on a short list of things: the board and the level, because HL and IA supervision demand more preparation than SL revision; the scarcity of the subject, since a rare Higher Level option has fewer tutors in Mumbai bidding for the work; travel distance and the hour, because a 7pm weekday slot across the suburb is the most expensive hour in anyone's week; session length and frequency, where two shorter sessions usually cost more than one long one; and the time of year, as February and April demand is simply higher than July demand. Ask for the rate per session in writing, ask whether travel is inside it, and ask what a cancellation costs. A tutor who will not answer those three questions before the first session is telling you something useful.

  • A slot that survives eleven weeks beats a better tutor whose slot keeps moving
  • Most slippage is geographic: a second family, a dug-up road, a longer commute
  • Fees move with board, level, subject scarcity, travel distance and the hour
  • Two shorter weekly sessions usually cost more in total than one long one
  • Get the rate, the travel inclusion and the cancellation rule in writing first

What progress looks like at four weeks, one term and one exam cycle in Mumbai

At four weeks you should not be looking at grades, and a tutor who points at a grade after four weeks is either lucky or managing you. What should have changed is behaviour. The child starts homework without a negotiation. She can say out loud what a task is asking for before writing. The blank-page stall at the start of a question is shorter. A draft exists where previously there was an intention to draft. If none of that has moved in four weeks of home classes, something is wrong with the match and not with the child.

By the end of a term there should be a piece of marked work to argue about. The useful signal is the type of comment on it: feedback about depth, evidence and criteria rather than feedback saying the student has missed the point. A mock result may move or may not, because mocks are deliberately hard and sometimes land mid-repair. What should be visible is a student who knows which two criteria she loses marks on and can explain what she is doing about them.

Across a full exam cycle the honest picture depends heavily on when you started. A DP1 student who begins home tuition in August has two years of room. A DP2 student who starts in January has one mock and a handful of weeks, and the realistic aim is consolidation of what is nearly there rather than repair of a two-year gap. We will say so at the point of matching. IB Gram does not guarantee grades, we do not publish outcome claims, and no honest tutor will promise a specific point score for your child. Every IB tutor Mumbai families meet through this platform is told that rule before being listed.

If it is not working, say it early. The two-week question exists so that you do not spend a term being polite. Tell us what is wrong in concrete terms, because the fix differs: a pace mismatch is often solved by the same tutor changing approach, while a personality mismatch almost never is. A replacement is arranged from the existing Seven Bungalows shortlist, your subject brief and school context carry over, and you do not pay twice for the same first session.

  • Four weeks: homework starts without a fight and the blank-page stall shortens
  • One term: marked work with feedback about criteria, not about missing the point
  • A DP2 student starting in January has consolidation room, not repair room
  • Two-week and six-week checkpoints exist so you can stop being polite early
  • Replacements carry the subject brief over and do not restart your search

Getting started in Seven Bungalows: what to have ready for home classes

Send four things and you will get a usable shortlist the same day: the year group and programme, the subjects that are slipping, the two or three evening slots you can actually protect, and one sentence about what triggered the search. That last sentence does more work than the rest. A mock result, a teacher's comment, a missed IA deadline and a child who has gone quiet all need different tutors. A single home tutor for all IB and IGCSE subjects Mumbai parents hope exists rarely does at Higher Level, so tell us which two subjects matter most.

Before the first session, put three documents in one place. The last two pieces of marked work, with the teacher's comments still on them. The school's internal deadline list for the term. The current subject guide if the school has shared it. A tutor who can read those in the first ten minutes skips a fortnight of diagnosis. Also sort the room: a table, a chair at the right height and a lamp beat a sofa, and the dining table with the television off beats a bedroom where a sibling is practising piano.

The first home tuition session is diagnostic and should feel like it. Expect the tutor to work through a piece of recent marked work, ask the student to attempt something unseen, find the exact point where understanding stops, and leave with a plan for the next three sessions rather than a package. You should hear what the plan is before the tutor leaves the building, and so should your child.

Your job in the first month is light but not optional. Be at home for the first session or two, then step back. Protect the slot against everything except illness. Read the tutor's session notes rather than asking the child how it went, because an eleven-year-old will say fine about anything. And answer the two-week question honestly, which is the one thing that lets us fix a mediocre match before it costs a term.

  • Send the year group, the slipping subjects, your real slots and the trigger
  • Have the last two marked assessments and the school deadline list ready
  • Set up a table, a chair and a lamp before the first home tuition session
  • Expect a diagnosis and a three-session plan, not a package or a syllabus tour
  • Be present for session one, then step back and protect the weekly slot
FAQs

Seven Bungalows tutoring — questions parents ask

Will a tutor travel to Seven Bungalows for a 7pm weekday slot?+

Yes, and this is one of the easier parts of the Western Suburbs to staff at that hour. Tutors living in Versova, Four Bungalows and Andheri West reach Seven Bungalows in roughly ten to twenty minutes outside peak, and the Versova end of the locality is quick to enter because the lanes stay low-rise. The honest caveat is directional: a tutor coming up from Bandra or across from the eastern suburbs at 6pm is fighting the worst hour on the Western Express Highway, so we match inside the local pool for weekday evenings and keep the wider pool for weekends and online slots.

Is parking a problem for a home tutor driving into Seven Bungalows?+

Not usually, and that is a real advantage here. Seven Bungalows stays low-rise and residential right up to the Versova beach end, so a tutor who drives can stop on the lane instead of circling the way she would in Lokhandwala. Tutors notice this and say so, which means families here can book people who have stopped accepting work in harder-to-park pockets a couple of kilometres away. Practically, tell the tutor which side of the lane to come to and whether your building has visitor space inside the compound, and that removes the last ten minutes of uncertainty from a first visit.

Does my building gate need to clear the tutor every week?+

Most buildings in Seven Bungalows are small enough that the watchman recognises a weekly visitor by the third session, but you should still set it up properly once. Give the tutor's full name and phone number at the gate register, tell them the day and the hour it will repeat, and ask whether a standing entry can be noted instead of a fresh call upstairs each time. In the taller buildings towards Andheri West, where an app-based visitor approval is used, add the tutor as a recurring visitor so nobody is waiting in the lobby for a notification to be approved while the hour runs down.

What do IB tuition fees in Seven Bungalows depend on?+

They depend on the level, the subject, the hour and the distance, and anyone who quotes a single number before asking about those four is guessing. Higher Level work with internal assessment supervision takes more preparation than Standard Level revision, so it costs more. A scarce subject has fewer tutors in Mumbai and prices accordingly. A 7pm weekday slot that needs a cross-suburb journey costs more than a Saturday morning one nearby. Session length and frequency matter too. Ask for the per-session rate in writing, confirm whether travel is included, and agree what a cancellation costs before the first session.

How soon can IB home tuition in Seven Bungalows actually start?+

Usually within a week, and sometimes within two or three days outside exam season. The shortlist typically reaches you within a day of your message, the call or meeting with your preferred tutor happens next, and the first session goes in as soon as you both have the same free evening. The bottleneck is almost never our side. It is the 7pm weekday slot, which is the most contested hour in the Western Suburbs. If you can take 5pm, half past five or a weekend morning, you will get a wider choice of tutors and start sooner.

Does online tutoring really work for a Higher Level DP subject?+

For a strong, self-managing student, yes, and for a scarce subject it is often better than the local alternative. Screen sharing a worked solution, annotating a draft live and recording a session for revision all work well now. Where online struggles is with a student who drifts without a person in the room, or who needs the informal five minutes after the hour when the real question finally surfaces. The pattern most Seven Bungalows families settle on is weekly home tuition with the subject tutor plus a short online checkpoint before a deadline.

There has been no progress after a month. What should I do?+

Tell us immediately, and be specific about what has not moved. Four weeks is enough to see behaviour change even when marks have not: homework started without an argument, shorter stalls, a draft that exists. If none of that has happened, the match is wrong and persisting costs you a term. Describe it concretely, because the fix differs. A pace problem is often solved by the same tutor changing approach and being told to slow down. A relationship problem is not. We re-match from the same local shortlist and your subject brief carries over.

The tutor is good but my child does not like them. Can we change?+

Yes, and you should, without feeling that you need to justify it academically. A tutor your child will not talk to cannot find out where understanding stops, which is most of the job. We ask what specifically does not work, because the useful signal is in the detail: too fast, too formal, talks over her, makes her feel stupid when she asks twice. That tells us what to match for next. Changing tutor once early in a term is normal and costs you a week. Changing in April is much more expensive, which is why the two-week check exists.

Can one tutor cover more than one subject for the same child?+

Sometimes, and it is worth asking for. A single tutor can often hold two related subjects at MYP level, or a science plus Mathematics at Standard Level, and that keeps your week simpler and your scheduling easier. At Higher Level the answer is usually no. The depth and the internal assessment demands of an HL subject mean you want somebody who teaches that syllabus regularly rather than somebody competent across four. We would rather tell you that two specialists are needed than sell you the convenient answer.

Do you cover Versova, Four Bungalows and Andheri West as well?+

Yes, and the same tutors work across all four pockets, which is exactly why the match holds. The Seven Bungalows–Versova corridor is a single working area for a tutor: Versova sits at the end of Metro Line 1, Four Bungalows is minutes away, and Andheri West is the largest source of tutors in this part of Mumbai. If you live on the boundary and are not sure which page applies to you, send the address and we will match on travel time rather than on which name the locality goes by.

Does IB Gram work with JBCN International School, Oshiwara or Billabong High International School?+

No. IB Gram is an independent tutor-matching platform and is not affiliated with JBCN International School, Oshiwara, with Billabong High International School, or with any other school named on this page. We name them because they are the schools Seven Bungalows families actually attend, and their calendars decide when your evenings get difficult. Our tutors are independent professionals, not school staff, and we do not claim access to any school's internal marking or predicted grades. IB Gram also does not guarantee grades, and no tutor on the platform is permitted to promise a specific result.
