How an IB home tutor in Peddar Road is matched, step by step

A request for IB home tuition in Peddar Road arrives with three things attached that a directory listing never captures: the stage your child is in, the exact subjects in trouble, and the one hour in the week that is genuinely free. On a road this short, the third item does most of the work. Peddar Road runs from the Kemps Corner flyover down towards the Haji Ali end, and between roughly half past five and half past seven it carries traffic with nowhere else to go, so a slot that looks reasonable on paper quietly fails in week three.

The first conversation is therefore about the timetable, not the tutor. We ask which school, which year group, whether the child is bussed back or collected, when the family eats, and whether a sibling already has the dining table occupied with homework. A Middle Years Programme student at Aditya Birla World Academy in Tardeo reaches home at a different hour from a Diploma Programme student returning from Cuffe Parade or Fort, and those two children need different slots even when they live in the same building on Peddar Road.

Only after that do we filter the tutor pool. South Mumbai matching is deliberately narrow. A tutor who already teaches in Cumballa Hill, Tardeo, Breach Candy or Walkeshwar can hold a Tuesday and Thursday commitment for a full term, and one travelling down from Andheri cannot, however strong the Diploma Programme Physics record on their resume. You then speak to a shortlist of two or three by phone before anybody drives anywhere, and the trial lesson happens in your flat with your child's own folder open on the table.

None of this is automated. A person reads the request and answers it. If we do not have the right specialist on the island for a scarce subject, we say so plainly rather than sending the nearest approximation and hoping the chemistry works out.

  • 1. Tell us the stage, the subjects, and the two hours that are genuinely free
  • 2. We shortlist two or three IB tutors already working inside South Mumbai
  • 3. You speak to each of them briefly before anyone travels to Peddar Road
  • 4. A trial lesson runs in your flat with your child's own coursework open
  • 5. You confirm a standing weekly slot, or we shortlist again

PYP, MYP or DP: which stage is your child actually in?

The International Baccalaureate (IB) is three separate programmes, and the one your child sits in changes everything a tutor does. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is inquiry driven with no external examinations. The Middle Years Programme (MYP) runs five years and is marked against published criteria rather than percentages. The Diploma Programme (DP) is the two-year, externally examined finish, and it is the stage most families on Peddar Road are searching about.

A PYP parent here is usually not worried about marks at all. They are worried that their eight-year-old reads fluently but cannot say what she read, or that number bonds never became automatic and every sum is still being counted on fingers under the table. Home tuition at this stage should be short, frequent and calm: twenty-five focused minutes four times a week does more than ninety minutes on a Sunday afternoon. It also has to sit before the child is tired, which on this road means ahead of the evening build-up rather than after it.

The Diploma Programme is the opposite problem. A DP1 student chooses six subjects, three at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL), adds Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE) and Creativity, Activity, Service, then discovers that each of the six carries an Internal Assessment (IA) with its own school deadline. The question a DP tutor answers is rarely explain this chapter. It is which two of these seven commitments do we protect this fortnight, and which one are we allowed to hand in merely competent.

Between the two sits the Middle Years Programme, where a child can work hard, write a great deal, and still land mid-band because the criterion was asking for something she never showed. Families who want that stage taken apart in full should read our dedicated Middle Years Programme page for Peddar Road. Here it is enough to say that the handover year from MYP into DP1 is the one worth planning a term in advance, because it is where confident students most often stumble.

  • PYP: reading comprehension, number fluency, explaining thinking out loud
  • MYP: criterion marking, so effort and marks can move independently
  • DP1: six subjects, three at Higher Level and three at Standard Level
  • DP2: Internal Assessments, Extended Essay and mock season arrive together
  • Every stage: your school's own deadline calendar outranks any tutor's plan

Subject choice, HL and SL, and the assessments sitting underneath them

Most families arrive asking for a subject tutor and leave having fixed a subject choice instead. In the Diploma Programme the six slots come from groups covering studies in language and literature, language acquisition, individuals and societies, the sciences, mathematics and the arts, with one subject taken from each group in the usual pattern. The three Higher Level choices are the real decision, because Higher Level is not the Standard Level course with extra homework. It carries additional content, and in several subjects the examination asks for a different kind of answer altogether.

The mathematics choice is the one that most often gets made backwards. A student picks the route her friends picked, or the route that sounds more respectable, rather than the one that matches what she actually wants to study after school. Our maths page for Peddar Road goes into that decision properly. The parallel in the sciences is quieter: Higher Level Chemistry and Higher Level Physics both carry a practical investigation that has to be designed, not merely performed, and a child who has never been asked to design anything finds that first.

Underneath every subject sits its Internal Assessment, and this is where tutoring earns or wastes its money. The sciences ask for an individual scientific investigation. Mathematics asks for a written exploration of a topic the student chooses. History asks for a historical investigation with its own source evaluation. The language subjects carry oral components recorded in school. Each of these is marked against published criteria, and each has a school-set draft deadline that lands well before the official one. Ask your coordinator for the current subject guide rather than trusting any tutor's memory of how a component used to be structured, because the IB revises guides on its own cycle.

A good tutor works the coursework and the examination together instead of treating them as two jobs. The investigation that teaches a DP2 student to handle uncertainty in her data is the same skill the examination paper tests in question four, and a Peddar Road family paying for home classes twice a week should expect to see that link made out loud, not assumed.

  • Higher Level adds content and changes what the examination asks for
  • Every DP subject carries an Internal Assessment with a school draft deadline
  • Sciences ask students to design an investigation, not just run one
  • Language subjects carry recorded oral components scheduled by the school
  • Check the current subject guide with your coordinator, not a tutor's memory

Which parts of South Mumbai does a Peddar Road tutor also cover?

An IB home tutor in Peddar Road almost always covers Kemps Corner, Cumballa Hill and Tardeo as part of the same working radius, because those three sit within a few minutes of the road at any hour that is not the evening peak. Add Breach Candy, Gowalia Tank, Babulnath and the Walkeshwar side of Malabar Hill and you have the practical catchment of a single tutor running four or five standing weekly slots.

Grant Road is the nearest station on the Western Line, and it matters more than the distance suggests. A tutor who does not drive can reach Grant Road from Dadar, Mahim or Churchgate on a train that is indifferent to road traffic, then cover the last stretch up to Peddar Road or across to Tardeo on foot or by auto. Tutors who do drive tell us the opposite story: the car is faster in the afternoon and slower from six, which is why so many Peddar Road placements settle on a seven o'clock start rather than a six o'clock one.

The wider travel reality in South Mumbai is that distances are small and journeys are slow. A tutor crossing from Worli towards Colaba is covering a handful of kilometres and can still lose a long stretch of the evening to the signals at Peddar Road and Haji Ali. That is why we match within the island rather than bringing someone down from the suburbs on the Coastal Road and hoping the goodwill lasts past October. A tutor living in Tardeo or Cumballa Hill who already teaches two families near Kemps Corner is a far safer bet for a full term than a more decorated tutor based in Andheri or Powai.

Children in these pockets also share schools, which means they share assessment weeks. Two Diploma Programme students living four hundred metres apart in Cumballa Hill and Peddar Road can be sitting the same mock on the same Monday, so a tutor working this catchment gets asked for extra sessions in the same fortnight by everyone at once. Booking the slot before that fortnight is the whole trick.

The phrasing parents use varies and none of it changes the request. Some search for an IB private tutor Peddar Road side of Kemps Corner. Others type IB tutors near me Peddar Road and arrive here. A few want all IB and IGCSE subjects home classes Peddar Road families can keep on a single weekday evening, and a few want a home tutor for all IB and IGCSE subjects Mumbai wide. Underneath all of it we read the same four items: a stage, a subject, a place and an hour. Our coverage does extend to all IB and IGCSE subjects a tutor in Peddar Road can reasonably hold across the week, though this page is about the IB side of that, and every IB home tutor in Mumbai we introduce is matched to one programme and one named set of subjects rather than presented as a generalist who will take anything.

  • Kemps Corner, Cumballa Hill and Tardeo share one tutor pool with Peddar Road
  • Grant Road station lets a non-driving tutor skip the evening road entirely
  • Breach Candy, Babulnath and Walkeshwar fall in the same working radius
  • Island matching holds for a term; suburban matching usually does not
  • Neighbouring flats share schools, so assessment weeks arrive simultaneously

Why do IB children on Peddar Road leave the road for school?

Because the school on the road is not an IB school. Activity High School sits on Peddar Road itself and runs an IGCSE pathway, and its cohort generates a large share of the local tutoring demand. That single fact shapes this page: an IB family living on Peddar Road is almost always a commuting family. Their child is bussed or driven out to Aditya Birla World Academy in Tardeo, or further to Babulnath, Cuffe Parade, Fort or across to Bandra Kurla Complex, and then comes back into the worst of the road's evening traffic carrying a bag of IB deadlines.

The practical consequence is that your child's arrival time is set by someone else's bus route, not by your postcode. A Diploma Programme student returning from Fort or Cuffe Parade on a weekday in October is frequently home later than her parents expect, and a tutor who booked a six o'clock slot is then sitting in your living room watching the clock. Peddar Road families who get this right either hold the slot at seven, or move one of the two weekly lessons to a Saturday morning when the road is a different place entirely.

The calendar pressure points follow the international school year in Mumbai rather than the board calendar most of the city runs on. August and September are settling months where a new DP1 cohort is still choosing. October and November bring the first serious internal assessments and, for DP2, the mock season. January and February are the heaviest weeks in the whole two years, with Internal Assessment final deadlines, the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge essay all landing close together before study leave. April and May are examinations. June brings results and a new intake that starts the cycle again.

Two things to be clear about. IB Gram is an independent platform and is not affiliated with Activity High School, Aditya Birla World Academy, or any other school named anywhere on this page. We name them only because they are the ecosystem families here live inside. And we do not guarantee grades: the school sets the deadlines, the IB sets the criteria, and a tutor's job is to make your child able to meet both.

  • Activity High School is on Peddar Road itself and follows an IGCSE pathway
  • Aditya Birla World Academy in Tardeo is the nearest IB option for many families
  • Arrival time is set by the school bus route, not by your address
  • January and February are the heaviest weeks of the whole Diploma Programme
  • IB Gram names schools as local context and claims no connection to them

Home tuition first, online second: picking a format in Mumbai

IB home classes in Peddar Road are the default here for one unglamorous reason: a tutor in the room can see the page. She can watch where the pen stops, notice that the student skipped the diagram, and reach across to point at the line in the question that was never read. For a Primary Years Programme child, and for any Diploma Programme student whose problem is working habits rather than content, that physical presence is the service. Nothing in a video call replaces an adult quietly turning the phone face down.

An IB online tutor in Peddar Road is still genuinely useful, and we recommend it in specific situations rather than as a cheaper substitute. A Theory of Knowledge essay, an Extended Essay structure conversation, a Higher Level Economics essay plan, a maths exploration write-up: these are screen-shareable discussions where the document on the screen is the lesson. Online also solves scarcity. If your child needs a Higher Level subject with a thin specialist pool in Mumbai, an online specialist beats a local generalist who is reading the guide one week ahead of the class.

Hybrid is what most of our longer Peddar Road placements drift into on their own, and we think that is a sensible destination rather than a compromise. One lesson in the flat each week for the diagnostic work and the habit setting, one online for review and marked-work feedback. It removes a return trip through the Haji Ali and Peddar Road signals from the tutor's week, which keeps the arrangement affordable and keeps the tutor willing to hold the slot through the heavy months.

The honest trade-offs. In-person home tuition costs more and is the first thing a traffic jam breaks. Online is reliable and cheaper to sustain, but a thirteen-year-old left alone with a laptop will be in two tabs within ten minutes unless somebody is passing the doorway. Hybrid needs a parent to care about which lesson is which, because treating the online one as optional is how a hybrid arrangement becomes a single weekly lesson without anybody deciding to make that change.

  • Home tutoring wins where the problem is habits, focus or a young child
  • Online wins for essay structure, marked-work feedback and scarce HL subjects
  • Hybrid removes one evening road trip and keeps the slot sustainable
  • In-person lessons are the first casualty of an evening traffic jam
  • An unsupervised online lesson drifts to other tabs within ten minutes

Which checks matter before you let a tutor into your flat?

Before an IB home tutor in Peddar Road sits down in your living room, IB Gram has confirmed who they are and what they have actually taught. That means a government photo identity document, the degree or teaching qualification they claim, and a teaching history checked at the level of programme and subject rather than the level of board. Diploma Programme Chemistry and IGCSE Chemistry are different jobs, and a tutor strong at one is not automatically competent at the other. We also ask for contactable references from families, not testimonials written for a profile page.

There is a second layer of checking that only you can do, and the trial lesson is where to do it. Hand the tutor a marked page of your child's recent work and ask them to explain, out loud, why the teacher took the marks off. A specialist will talk about the criterion, the command term, or the step the student skipped. A generalist will talk about carelessness. Ask which version of the subject guide they are teaching from, and ask what they would want your child to have finished before the next lesson. Vagueness there is the most reliable warning sign in this whole process.

Be wary of anyone who offers a guaranteed grade, a fixed mark improvement, or a success rate. No honest tutor can promise a specific grade, and the ones who do are usually the ones who have not looked at your child's work yet. We do not guarantee grades either, and we would rather lose an enquiry than pretend otherwise. What we will commit to is that the person who arrives is the person whose background we described to you.

Finally, check the practical things on day one rather than week six. Confirm the tutor's name with your building security so entry is not a negotiation every week. Agree what happens when a lesson is missed, who messages whom, and whether a cancelled slot is made up the same week. These are small agreements that prevent the slow erosion that ends most tutoring arrangements in this city.

  • Photo identity, qualification and subject-level teaching history verified first
  • References from families we can actually call, not written testimonials
  • At the trial, ask the tutor to explain a marked page of your child's work
  • Ask which subject guide version they teach from and expect a clear answer
  • Register the tutor's name with building security before the first lesson

The twelve-year arc: keeping one IB home tutor in Peddar Road from PYP to DP

The strongest argument for choosing an island-based tutor is not this evening's traffic. It is that the International Baccalaureate is a twelve-year structure, and continuity inside it compounds in a way that almost nothing else in tutoring does. A tutor who taught your child reading comprehension in the Primary Years Programme knows exactly which habits she reaches for under pressure. Five years later, when the same child is writing a Middle Years Programme science investigation, that tutor does not spend the first month working out why the conclusion section is always thin. She already knows.

This is only possible where the tutor pool is geographically stable, and in South Mumbai it is. Tutors here live here. A specialist based in Tardeo or Cumballa Hill is not going to be priced out of the catchment or moved to a different corridor, so the same person can plausibly take your younger child through the Primary Years Programme while your DP1 student is being handed to a subject specialist in the same network. Families on Peddar Road who have been with us across two stages tend to have made exactly that transition, keeping the generalist for the younger child and adding Higher Level specialists as the older one entered DP1.

What IB tuition fees in Peddar Road depend on follows the same logic. The variables are the programme and level, because Higher Level Diploma Programme teaching draws from a smaller pool than Middle Years Programme support; subject scarcity, because a Higher Level language or a less common science has fewer qualified teachers on the island than mathematics does; session length and frequency; and travel, because a tutor giving ninety minutes to the road itself is giving up a slot elsewhere. We will not publish a price list, because a number stripped of those variables misleads every parent who reads it. Ask for the range against your specific combination and you will get a straight answer.

One more structural point about this road. Because Activity High School on Peddar Road is an IGCSE school, the local tutor pool skews towards IGCSE experience, and strong Diploma Programme Higher Level specialists are the scarcer commodity here than the raw tutor count suggests. Plan a DP1 Higher Level placement a term early rather than in September, particularly for the sciences. Parents who wait until the first report card are competing for the same handful of island specialists in the same fortnight.

  • Continuity matters more in the IB than in any single-exam system
  • South Mumbai tutors live in South Mumbai, so placements survive years
  • Fees track programme, level, subject scarcity, session length and travel
  • The local pool skews IGCSE, so DP Higher Level specialists book out early
  • Plan a Higher Level science placement a term ahead, not after the first report

What progress looks like at four weeks, one term and one Mumbai exam cycle

At four weeks you should not be looking at marks. You should be looking at whether your child can tell you what she is bad at. A student who moves from my teacher hates me to I lose marks because I never state the assumption has made more progress in a month than one whose test score moved three points for reasons nobody can explain. Ask the tutor for one written line after each lesson about what was covered and what is still weak. Four of those lines, read together, show you whether anyone is diagnosing anything.

At one term, marks should have started to move in the specific places the tutor named in week two, and the homework fight should be smaller. For a Diploma Programme student the honest term-one win is usually an Internal Assessment draft submitted on time and in a shape the teacher can actually give feedback on, rather than a grade jump. For a Middle Years Programme student it is a criterion she used to lose consistently now being met. For a Primary Years Programme child it is reading aloud without the shoulders rising.

Across one full examination cycle you can reasonably expect a clear trajectory, a student who knows the structure of each paper she sits, and coursework handed in without a crisis. You cannot reasonably expect a guaranteed outcome, and we do not guarantee grades. A tutor controls preparation. The examination, the marking, your child's state of mind on the day and whether she slept are all outside that control, and anybody who tells you otherwise is selling you something.

There is also a case for not hiring a tutor. If your child is sleeping five hours, playing no sport, and already doing three evenings of something, adding home tuition makes the week worse and the marks will follow the week. If the problem is one teacher and one bad term, talk to the school first. If a DP2 student is four weeks from examinations with six subjects adrift, a new tutor cannot fix six subjects, and the honest advice is to pick two and protect them. We would rather say that than take the booking.

  • Four weeks: your child can name her own weak points without prompting
  • One term: marks move where the tutor predicted, and homework gets quieter
  • One cycle: papers understood, coursework submitted calmly, trajectory visible
  • Never: a promised grade, a success rate, or a fixed mark improvement
  • Sometimes the right answer is fewer commitments, not another tutor

Starting IB home tuition on Peddar Road this month

Three things make the first lesson useful instead of introductory. The most recent report card or progress sheet, including the comments nobody reads. One recent piece of marked work in the weakest subject, with the teacher's annotations left on it. And your child's school assessment calendar for the term, because a tutor who knows the Internal Assessment draft deadline is three weeks away plans an entirely different first month from one who finds out in week four. If you only have one of the three, send the marked work.

The first session is a diagnosis, and it should feel like one. Expect the tutor to spend a good part of it reading your child's work and asking her to talk through problems rather than teaching from the front. Expect at least one surprise: the Higher Level Physics student whose real gap is algebraic rearrangement, the Middle Years Programme student whose essays lose marks on the command term rather than the content, the capable DP1 student who has never been taught to read a question twice. Expect the tutor to tell you what they found, briefly, in plain words, at the end.

On timing, be realistic about this road. We will propose slots that account for the evening build-up on Dr G. Deshmukh Marg rather than pretending it is not there, which in practice means a seven o'clock weekday start or a Saturday morning for one of the two weekly lessons. Families who hold a seven o'clock slot keep their tutor. Families who insist on six lose the tutor by November and start the search again at the worst possible moment.

When the match is wrong, say so early. Two or three lessons is enough to know whether the subject expertise is real and whether your child will talk to this person. Tell us what did not work, specifically, and we shortlist again from the island pool without you starting the process from scratch. The feedback is worth more than politeness here, because the reason a match failed is the most useful information we have about the next one.

  • Bring the report card, one marked paper, and the school assessment calendar
  • Session one is diagnosis: expect reading and questions, not a lecture
  • Expect a short, plain-language summary of what the tutor found
  • Hold a seven o'clock weekday slot rather than fighting the evening peak
  • Two or three lessons is enough to judge a match; tell us early if it is wrong
FAQs

Peddar Road tutoring — questions parents ask

What does an IB home tutor in Peddar Road actually do in the first month?+

Diagnose, then narrow. In the first two lessons a good tutor reads your child's marked work, listens to her talk through problems, and identifies two or three specific failure points rather than a subject-wide weakness. Weeks three and four then attack those points with your school's next assessment in view. You should receive a short note after each lesson saying what was covered and what remains weak. If after four weeks nobody can tell you what your child's specific gaps are, the tutoring is not working and the match should change.

My child is in the Primary Years Programme. Is a home tutor too early?+

Not if the format matches the age. Primary Years Programme home tuition works when it is short, frequent and low pressure: twenty-five quiet minutes four times a week rather than a long weekend block. At this stage the targets are reading comprehension, number fluency and being able to explain thinking out loud, none of which respond to volume. What is too early is anything that looks like examination coaching. If a tutor proposes worksheets and timed tests for an eight-year-old on Peddar Road, that is the wrong tutor for the stage, not the wrong idea.

Can one tutor take both my MYP child and my DP child in the same evening?+

Sometimes, and it is worth asking. Back-to-back lessons in one visit save the tutor a return trip through the Peddar Road signals, which makes the slot more sustainable and the arrangement easier to price. It works when the subject is one a single specialist genuinely covers at both levels, usually mathematics or a language. It works badly when you are really asking a Middle Years Programme generalist to teach Higher Level Diploma Programme content. In that case take two tutors, and put the Diploma Programme lesson first while your older child is still alert.

Why do two tutors quote differently for the same Diploma Programme subject?+

Because level, scarcity and travel are priced, and experience is priced differently again. A Higher Level Diploma Programme subject draws from a much smaller pool of qualified teachers in Mumbai than a Middle Years Programme equivalent, and a less common Higher Level subject narrows that pool further. Travel is real too: an evening lesson that costs a tutor ninety minutes on the road costs them a second placement. We do not publish a price list, because a figure detached from programme, level, subject and session length misleads more than it helps. Ask for the range against your exact combination.

Does a tutor travel from Grant Road station on foot for an evening lesson?+

Many do, and it is one of the quiet advantages of this location. Grant Road is the nearest Western Line station to Peddar Road, so a tutor living along the line can arrive on a train that road traffic cannot delay, then cover the last stretch on foot or by auto. Tutors who drive are faster in the afternoon and considerably slower from six o'clock. When we match here we ask how a tutor intends to arrive, because a train-based tutor and a car-based tutor suit completely different slots on this road.

Should we book a Diploma Programme tutor before DP1 starts or wait for the first report?+

Book earlier than feels necessary, especially for a Higher Level science. Because Activity High School on Peddar Road follows an IGCSE pathway, the local tutor pool here is weighted towards IGCSE experience, and strong Diploma Programme Higher Level specialists on the island are the scarce resource. Every family that waits for the October report competes for the same handful of people in the same fortnight. If your child has chosen Higher Level Physics or Higher Level Chemistry, a conversation in June or July gets you a choice. A conversation in November gets you whoever is left.

Our flat has no spare room. Where should home classes happen?+

The dining table is fine, and usually better than a bedroom. What matters is a hard surface, decent light, a chair that does not swallow the child, and a door or a direction that is not facing a television. Tutors ask for the phone to be out of the room, not on silent on the table. If the household is genuinely loud at that hour, move the lesson earlier rather than finding a quieter corner, because every family in South Mumbai is loudest between seven and nine in the evening. We have never lost a placement to a small flat.

Does online IB tutoring work for a Theory of Knowledge essay?+

Yes, and it is one of the cases where online is the better format. A Theory of Knowledge essay is a conversation about a document, so a shared screen with the draft open is more useful than two people reading one laptop across a dining table. The same holds for Extended Essay structure and Higher Level essay planning. Where online struggles is the young student, the habit problem, and the child who needs an adult physically present to stay on the page. For those, in-person home tuition is still the right call.

How quickly can a tutor be replaced if the subject match is wrong?+

Usually within a week, and you do not restart the process. Tell us specifically what failed: the subject knowledge was thinner than expected, the explanations lost your child, the timing kept slipping, or the two of them simply did not get on. We shortlist again from the same island pool with that information applied. Specific feedback is worth far more than a polite it did not work out, because the reason the first match failed is the single most useful thing we know when choosing the second. Changing early costs a week; changing in February costs a term.

Does IB Gram have any arrangement with the schools named on this page?+

No. IB Gram is an independent tutor-matching platform and is not affiliated with Activity High School, Aditya Birla World Academy, or any other school mentioned here. We name them because they are the local context any Peddar Road parent already knows, and because their calendars set the assessment pressure points your tutor has to work around. Our tutors are not presented as school staff, we make no claim to represent any school's teaching, and we do not guarantee grades. If a tutoring service implies a school endorsement, ask the school directly.

When should we not hire an IB home tutor at all?+

When the week is already full. If your child is sleeping badly, has no free evenings and is doing three other activities, adding home tuition makes the schedule worse and the marks follow the schedule. Talk to the school first if the issue is one subject in one bad term, because a coordinator can often fix a teaching mismatch faster than a tutor can compensate for it. And if a DP2 student is weeks from examinations with six subjects adrift, pick two to protect rather than hiring someone to rescue all six.

Which months are hardest for a Diploma Programme student in Mumbai?+

January and February, by a wide margin. That is when Internal Assessment final deadlines, the Extended Essay and the Theory of Knowledge essay converge for DP2 students in Mumbai, Maharashtra, just before study leave begins. October and November are the second pressure point, carrying the first serious internal assessments and the mock season. August and September look calm but are when DP1 subject choices get locked in, which is the decision with the longest consequences. Plan tutoring around those three windows and you are rarely booking in a panic.
