How IB Gram finds an IB home tutor in Lodha Splendora

Send one message naming your child's year group, their International Baccalaureate (IB) programme stage and the two or three subjects that are genuinely slipping, and a shortlist of two or three tutor profiles usually comes back inside the same week. IB Gram is a matching service rather than a coaching chain, so nobody is allocated to you from a branch rota. You read the profiles yourself, you choose who to meet, and the first session is a trial you are free to walk away from. Some families arrive asking for an all IB and IGCSE subjects tutor in Lodha Splendora because two children in the same flat sit different boards, and that is a normal request to make.

The reason an IB home tutor in Lodha Splendora is easier to arrange than the same request in a scattered part of Mumbai is the township itself. Lodha Splendora is one large gated development on Ghodbunder Road, with its towers grouped around shared podium and clubhouse space, so a tutor who commits to a Tuesday evening out here does not spend that evening on one hour of teaching and ninety minutes of driving. They teach a Grade 6 Middle Years Programme (MYP) student in one wing, then walk across the podium to a Diploma Programme (DP) student in another.

That economics changes what we can realistically ask of a specialist. A Physics teacher who would refuse a single weekly hour past Majiwada will often take three inside one gate, which is why IB home tuition in Lodha Splendora frequently gets a better-qualified tutor than the raw distance from Thane station would predict. It also makes your slot more stable through the year. A tutor whose whole evening sits behind one security desk has little reason to drop you the moment a family closer to the station calls.

What we need from you at the beginning is narrow and specific. Not that Maths is weak, but that she lost most of her marks on the Criterion C investigation and cannot set up a quadratic from a word problem. The register is searched on subject, programme stage and assessment component, so a precisely written complaint produces a far better shortlist than a grade band does. Tell us the slot you want too, because a 6pm start and an 8pm start on Ghodbunder Road are different propositions for the person travelling.

  • 1. Send year group, IB programme stage, weak subjects and your preferred evening slot
  • 2. Read two or three matched profiles with qualifications and IB teaching history
  • 3. Hold a paid trial session in your own flat, then decide
  • 4. Confirm a standing weekly slot, or ask to see different profiles
  • 5. Reschedule, pause or replace through IB Gram rather than negotiating alone

Which IB programme stage is your child actually in?

Children in Lodha Splendora following the International Baccalaureate sit in one of three stages: the Primary Years Programme (PYP) through the early grades, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) across the middle school years, and the two-year Diploma Programme (DP) at the end of school. The stage decides what tutoring is useful, far more than the child's age does.

At PYP the honest answer is usually that no tutor is needed. PYP is inquiry-led and has no external examinations, so a parent who hires a tutor to raise a report-card grade is paying for something the programme does not measure. Where PYP support does earn its hour is narrow and mechanical: reading fluency that has not clicked, number bonds and place value, handwriting stamina, and the confidence to write three connected sentences without an adult sitting alongside. If a Grade 3 child in Lodha Splendora reads fluently and explains her thinking, put the money away and wait.

MYP is where most of our Thane enquiries actually start, and the usual trigger is a parent who cannot read the report. MYP subjects are graded against criteria rather than a percentage, so a child can hand in a well-written piece and still score poorly because the task asked her to evaluate and she described. A useful MYP tutor spends the first fortnight teaching command terms and the criterion descriptors rather than content: what analyse demands that explain does not, what Criterion D actually rewards in Sciences, how the Personal Project is assessed on process and not polish.

DP is a different job again, and a more urgent one. Two years, six subjects, a mix of Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL), plus the Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and the Internal Assessment (IA) in each subject. A DP1 student who drifts through the first year arrives in DP2 with an IA backlog and no time to fix a subject choice. Home tuition at DP is mostly triage: stabilise the HL subject that is failing, get the IA drafts moving, and protect the predicted grade the universities will see.

  • PYP: reading fluency, number sense and independent writing, not grade chasing
  • MYP: command terms, criterion descriptors and the Personal Project process
  • DP1: subject and level choices, early IA planning, TOK groundwork
  • DP2: IA drafts, the Extended Essay deadline, past-paper technique
  • One tutor can carry a child from MYP into DP if the subject matches

Subject choice, Higher Level and Standard Level, and the assessment behind each one

The single most expensive mistake we see in Thane is a level decision taken on ambition rather than on evidence. Choosing Higher Level is not a statement about how clever a child is; it is a commitment to a larger syllabus, a longer paper and a heavier internal assessment in a year when five other subjects are making the same demand. A student who is comfortable at Standard Level Chemistry and strong at Higher Level Biology will out-perform the same student forced into two Higher Level sciences because a cousin did it.

A home tutor for all IB and IGCSE subjects Mumbai parents ask about does not exist as a single person, and anyone claiming that title is a generalist who will be out of depth by the second term. We cover all IB and IGCSE subjects in home classes Lodha Splendora families book, but the IB side of the register is organised by component rather than by subject label, because that is how the help is actually needed. Mathematics splits into Analysis and Approaches and Applications and Interpretation, and the choice between them matters more for an engineering or economics application than most Grade 10 students realise. In the Sciences the practical Internal Assessment is a research-design problem before it is a laboratory problem, and most students lose marks on the research question and the evaluation rather than on the experiment.

The language subjects are where Thane parents most often ask for the wrong thing. A child in Language A needs to learn how to write a guided literary analysis under time pressure, which is a skill, not a reading list. A child in Language B needs oral practice with someone who will interrupt and correct, which is exactly what a home tutor sitting across the table can do and a worksheet cannot. In the individuals and societies group, History and Economics both reward a student who can structure an argument against a command term; Business Management rewards one who can read a case study quickly.

On the Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel side, the equivalent decision is Core or Extended tier entry in Years 9 to 11, and that belongs on our IGCSE page rather than here. What matters on this page is that a family in Lodha Splendora deciding between an IB continuum school and an IGCSE pathway is choosing between a criterion-assessed twelve-year arc and a two-year external examination sprint, and the tutoring each one needs looks nothing like the other.

  • HL or SL chosen on evidence from Grade 10 work, not on ambition
  • Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches versus Applications and Interpretation, decided by degree plans
  • Sciences: the IA is a research-design task before it is laboratory work
  • Language A: timed guided analysis; Language B: oral practice with live correction
  • Current subject guides change, so confirm structure with your school coordinator

Ghodbunder Road, Majiwada and Kolshet Road: the Thane radius we match inside

Lodha Splendora sits on Ghodbunder Road in Thane, Mumbai, Maharashtra, with Thane station as the nearest railway head and the Eastern Express Highway feeding the city from the south. A tutor taking a slot here almost always also covers Ghodbunder Road itself, Majiwada at the junction end, and the Kolshet Road pocket towards the creek. That is the honest radius. Anyone promising to come from Bandra for a weekday hour is either exaggerating or will cancel in week three.

Thane spreads west to east from the station across Pokhran Road, Ghodbunder Road and Majiwada, and the Ghodbunder stretch is what sets every schedule out here. A tutor living near Thane station reaches Kasarvadavali in roughly twenty minutes off-peak and close to an hour in the evening peak. The practical consequence for a family in Lodha Splendora is that the 7pm slot and the 8.15pm slot are not interchangeable: the later one is easier to staff and far less likely to be abandoned in monsoon.

Thane tutors cover Thane. Mulund tutors sometimes cross over the border, usually on a Saturday rather than a weekday, and the Thane to Borivali tunnel corridor will eventually make the western side reachable in a way it is not today. Until then, home tuition across this part of Mumbai works best when the tutor's own flat is on the same side of the Ghodbunder spine as yours. The Trans-Harbour Line from Thane to Vashi occasionally brings a Navi Mumbai specialist up for a weekend double session, which is worth knowing if your subject is a scarce one.

Because Lodha Splendora is a township rather than a street, the within-gate geography matters as much as the city geography. A tutor parking once and walking between wings can fit three families into one evening, and the families inside the gate are the ones most likely to be sharing a tutor without ever having met. If you want an IB home tutor in Lodha Splendora on a popular 7pm Tuesday, ask early in the term, because that slot is usually taken by a neighbour two towers away. A parent searching for the best IB tutor in Lodha Splendora is usually really asking which qualified tutor still has a free evening inside the gate, and that is the question worth answering.

  • Ghodbunder Road, Majiwada and Kolshet Road are the realistic weekday coverage
  • Thane station and the Eastern Express Highway are the two access routes
  • Twenty minutes off-peak to Kasarvadavali, close to an hour in evening peak
  • Later evening slots are easier to staff and far more stable in monsoon
  • Mulund and Navi Mumbai tutors mostly cross over at weekends only

The school calendar Lodha Splendora families in Mumbai live by

Children from this township are bussed out of one gate every morning to a short list of schools, and that list sets the assessment pressure points for the whole development. Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School and NES International School are the two names that come up most often in enquiries from Lodha Splendora, alongside the international schools further down the Eastern Express Highway that some families commute to. IB Gram is an independent tutor-matching platform and is not affiliated with Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School, NES International School, the International Baccalaureate Organization, Cambridge International Education or Pearson Edexcel. We name these schools as local context only.

The rhythm is predictable once you have watched it for a year. June brings the new academic year and a fortnight of calm. By late July the first MYP criterion tasks land and the DP1 students are being asked to settle subject levels. September and October are the heaviest stretch for the Diploma Programme, because Internal Assessment drafts, the Extended Essay first submission and the TOK exhibition tend to collide with the first set of school examinations. January and February are the DP2 crunch: final IA submissions, mock examinations and predicted grades going out to universities.

March to May belongs to the May examination session, and it is the month of April that catches Thane families out. School has effectively stopped teaching, study leave has begun, and a student who has not built past-paper stamina by then cannot build it in three weeks. The useful months for a tutor are the ones that feel least urgent. A home tutor who starts in July has twelve weeks before the first real collision; one who starts in February is doing damage control.

The school bus timetable is the other practical constraint nobody mentions until the first session is booked. Children from Lodha Splendora attending schools towards Majiwada or Pokhran Road are often not home before 4.30pm, and after a long bus ride a 5pm start is wasted time. Most families here settle on a 6.30pm or 7pm start on two weekday evenings, with the heavier subject earlier in the week while the child is still fresh.

  • July and August: new units begin, DP1 subject levels settle, the quiet window
  • September and October: IA drafts, Extended Essay submissions and school examinations collide
  • January and February: DP2 mocks, final IA deadlines, predicted grades issued
  • April: study leave, so technique must already be built by then
  • School buses mean a 6.30pm or 7pm start beats a 5pm one

Home tuition, online or hybrid for an IB student in Lodha Splendora

Home tuition is the right default for almost every IB student in this township, and the reason is attention rather than convenience. A tutor sitting at your dining table sees the child close the notebook, sees the sideways glance at the phone, and sees the exact moment a Criterion C investigation stops making sense. None of that survives a screen. The IB home classes in Lodha Splendora that we arrange run in the flat, with the parent somewhere within earshot and the sibling's television off, and that physical setup does more for a struggling Grade 8 than any platform feature.

Online tutoring earns its place in two situations, and we will say so plainly rather than pretend home is always better. The first is a scarce subject. If you need Higher Level Economics, Film, Psychology or a Language B that almost nobody in Thane teaches, an IB online tutor in Lodha Splendora drawn from elsewhere in Mumbai or another city is a genuinely better teacher than the nearest available generalist. The second is DP2 in the final stretch, when a self-managing seventeen-year-old wants a forty-minute paper review on a Sunday morning and travel time is the only thing standing in the way.

Online is the wrong choice for a Year 7 or Year 8 student who cannot yet work alone. Below roughly Grade 9 the tutor spends the session managing attention, and that is not possible through a camera. We have had parents in Lodha Splendora insist on online for a Grade 6 MYP child because the scheduling was easier, and in most of those cases we were back to arranging home tuition within a month.

Hybrid is what most DP families here eventually land on, and it suits the Ghodbunder Road reality well. One longer home session a week for the teaching, plus a short online check-in to look at a draft or mark a question. The tutor travels once instead of twice, the student still gets two contacts, and the arrangement survives the weeks when the evening traffic out of Majiwada is genuinely impassable. Ask for hybrid from the start rather than after the first cancelled session.

  • Home tuition first: the tutor sees attention drift that a screen hides
  • Online justified for scarce subjects and self-managing DP2 students
  • Online rarely works below Grade 9, whatever the scheduling convenience
  • Hybrid: one home session plus a short online draft review weekly
  • Hybrid holds up in monsoon when Ghodbunder Road evenings collapse

How is an IB home tutor in Mumbai actually checked?

Before a profile reaches you, IB Gram verifies three things: identity against a government photo document, the subject degree or teaching qualification claimed, and a traceable history of teaching the specific programme stage named. A tutor who says she has taught Diploma Programme Chemistry is asked which years, at what kind of school, and whether she has worked with Internal Assessment moderation. Claims that cannot be evidenced are removed from the profile rather than softened, and an IB home tutor in Lodha Splendora reaches your shortlist only after that step.

There are checks only you can make, and they happen in the first session. Watch who talks. A tutor who spends fifty minutes explaining and five minutes listening will not find the gap, however impressive the explanation. Ask her to open your child's last marked assessment and tell you, in her own words, where the marks went. A specialist will point at the criterion or the command term. A generalist will say the child needs more practice.

Ask three direct questions and listen for hedging. Which IB subject guide version are you teaching from, and how do you keep up when it is revised? What will you do in the first three sessions, specifically? And how will I know in four weeks whether this is working? The answers tell you more than any certificate. Be wary of a tutor who offers a guaranteed grade or quotes a success rate, because nobody honest can know either, and IB Gram does not guarantee grades for the same reason.

Practical verification matters too, and in a township it is partly a security question. The tutor's name and identity document details go to your building's visitor desk once, so the gate pass can be standing rather than re-issued weekly. Keep sessions in a room where you pass through occasionally. If you are not comfortable with an adult in the flat, the clubhouse study areas or the library corner are reasonable alternatives, and plenty of families in Lodha Splendora use them for exactly that reason.

  • Identity, qualification and programme-stage teaching history checked before a profile is shared
  • Unevidenced claims are removed from the profile, not reworded
  • Ask which subject guide version the tutor teaches from
  • Ask for a specific three-session plan and a four-week review point
  • A standing gate pass beats re-registering the tutor every week

What do IB tuition fees in Lodha Splendora depend on?

IB tuition fees in Lodha Splendora depend on five things, and none of them is a published rate card. Programme stage is the largest factor: a Diploma Programme Higher Level subject with an Internal Assessment to supervise costs more per hour than PYP reading support, because the pool of people who can teach it is far smaller. Subject scarcity is the second. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Economics at Higher Level sit in a thin market in Thane, and scarcity moves price in a way that no amount of negotiating changes.

Travel distance is the third factor, and it is the one Lodha Splendora families can genuinely influence. A tutor who treats your township as a single stop and teaches three families in one evening prices the travel once, across three slots. A tutor coming out from Mulund for a single hour prices it for one. This is the practical upside of the township note we keep coming back to: a tutor who fills an evening inside one gate is cheaper to retain than the same tutor doing a solo run up Ghodbunder Road, and IB home tuition in Lodha Splendora benefits directly from that.

Session length and frequency make up the fourth factor, and longer is not automatically better value. Ninety minutes suits a DP student working through a past paper and an IA draft. Sixty minutes is the ceiling for a Grade 6 child, and a two-hour booking for a twelve-year-old buys you forty minutes of real work and eighty minutes of fatigue. The fifth factor is what you are actually buying: supervised practice costs less than diagnostic teaching, and a tutor who marks work between sessions is pricing that time whether it appears on the invoice or not.

Three things are worth knowing before you compare quotes. A trial session is paid, because an unpaid trial attracts tutors who perform rather than teach. Fees are agreed between you and the tutor rather than set by us. And the cheapest arrangement in Mumbai is usually the one that fails first, because a tutor who has underpriced a long Ghodbunder Road journey stops turning up by the second month. Ask what the rate assumes about travel, and whether it changes if you move the slot earlier into the evening peak. An IB private tutor Lodha Splendora families engage informally often costs less in the first month and more by the sixth, because there is nobody to arrange a replacement when the slot quietly stops happening.

  • Programme stage: DP Higher Level costs more than PYP reading support
  • Scarcity: HL Maths, Physics and Economics are thin markets in Thane
  • Travel priced once across three families beats a solo weekday run
  • Ninety minutes suits DP; sixty is the realistic ceiling at MYP
  • A rate that ignores evening traffic is the one that collapses first

What should four weeks of IB home tutoring in Mumbai look like?

At four weeks you should not be looking at grades at all. What you should see is a child who can name what she is bad at. A Grade 9 MYP student who says the problem is that she describes when the question says evaluate has understood something a report card never told her, and that is the first real signal. You should also see the tutor arriving with a plan rather than asking what the homework is, and work being marked between sessions rather than only during them.

At one term the measurable things start appearing. Criterion scores in the weaker strands move first, usually by one band. A DP student has an Internal Assessment research question that her teacher has not sent back for a third rewrite. Homework takes less time than it did, which is often the change a parent notices before any number does. If none of this has happened after a full term, something is wrong with the match and not with the child, and the honest step is to change tutor rather than add a second weekly hour.

At one examination cycle you can finally judge. Predicted grades, mock performance and the quality of the IA drafts together tell you whether the arrangement worked. We do not guarantee grades, and we will not quote you a success rate, because the variables that actually decide an IB result include the school, the teacher, the subject combination and how much sleep a seventeen-year-old gets in April. What a good home tutor in Mumbai reliably changes is the technique and the working habit, and those are the parts within reach.

The honest limits deserve stating plainly. Tutoring cannot fix a wrong subject choice made two years ago, and in DP2 it cannot create the eighteen months of reading an Extended Essay should have had. It does very little for a student who has decided she dislikes the subject and is being made to continue. And it cannot substitute for a diagnosis: if a child's difficulty is attention, processing speed or anxiety, a subject tutor is the wrong professional, and the useful thing we can do is say so early rather than bill you for a year of patient repetition.

  • Four weeks: the child can name her own weakness precisely
  • Four weeks: tutor arrives with a plan and marks work between sessions
  • One term: weaker criterion strands move a band, homework takes less time
  • One exam cycle: mocks, predicted grades and IA drafts tell the real story
  • No progress after a full term means change the tutor, not add hours

Starting IB home tuition in Lodha Splendora: what to prepare

Have three things ready before the first session and you will save a fortnight. The most recent marked assessment with the teacher's comments on it, however bad. The current subject guide or unit outline your school has shared. And a clear statement of the two weakest components, written in the child's own words if she is old enough. A tutor who walks in with those in front of her can diagnose in one session what otherwise takes three.

Decide where the session will happen before the tutor arrives, because the room matters more than parents expect. A dining table with a hard chair, no television in line of sight and a plug point for a laptop beats a bedroom desk, and it beats the sofa by a long way. If your flat is full in the evenings, the clubhouse study areas inside Lodha Splendora work well, and several families here run their sessions there rather than at home for exactly that reason.

The first session is a diagnosis and it will not feel productive. Expect the tutor to spend most of it reading your child's work, asking questions she cannot answer, and finding the floor. A tutor who launches straight into teaching Chapter 7 has skipped the only step that makes the next twenty sessions efficient. By the end of it you should have a written three-session plan and a date four weeks out when the two of you will review whether this is working.

Then settle the logistics once and leave them alone. One fixed evening, one fixed start time, the tutor's details lodged at the gate so the pass is standing, and a rule about what happens when a session is missed. Families in Lodha Splendora who share a tutor across towers often coordinate their slots so the tutor's evening runs back to back, and that is worth asking your neighbours about: a tutor with a full evening inside your gate is the one who is still arriving in February.

  • Bring the last marked assessment, with the teacher's comments intact
  • Bring the current unit outline or subject guide from school
  • Name the two weakest components, not the subject as a whole
  • Set up a hard chair and a table out of the television's line of sight
  • Lodge tutor details at the gate once so the pass is standing
FAQs

Lodha Splendora tutoring — questions parents ask

Can a tutor travel to Lodha Splendora for a weekday evening slot?+

Yes, and the slot time matters more than the distance. A tutor living near Thane station reaches this end of Ghodbunder Road in about twenty minutes off-peak and close to an hour in the evening peak, so a 7pm start is harder to staff reliably than a 8.15pm one. The tutors who take standing weekday slots in Lodha Splendora are almost always based in Thane rather than Mulund or the Eastern Suburbs. If your subject is scarce enough that the only good tutor lives further away, a Saturday double session usually holds better than a weekday hour.

How does a tutor get a gate pass for our building at Lodha Splendora?+

You register the tutor once at your tower's visitor desk and ask for a recurring entry rather than a single-visit pass. IB Gram shares the tutor's name and identity document reference with you so the security desk has something to verify against, and most towers in a township this size will log a weekly visitor for a term once a resident has sponsored them. Do this before the first session, not during it. Twenty minutes lost at the gate on a Tuesday evening is twenty minutes of a paid hour, and it is the most common reason a first session starts badly.

Does a parent need to be at home during IB home tuition?+

Not in the room, but within the flat is sensible, especially below Grade 9. Younger MYP students work better when an adult is somewhere in earshot, and you will learn more about the tutor from passing through twice than from any monthly report. For a DP student the opposite is usually true: a seventeen-year-old working on an Internal Assessment draft does better without an audience. If you cannot be at home, agree it with the tutor in advance rather than leaving her to discover it, and ask for a two-line message after each session saying what was covered.

Where should we set up for home classes in a Lodha Splendora flat?+

A dining table with a hard chair, a plug point and no television in line of sight is the best room in most flats here. Bedrooms invite lying down, and sofas end sessions early. If the flat is busy in the evenings, the clubhouse study areas inside the township work well and several families use them routinely. What you are protecting is forty-five uninterrupted minutes in the middle of the hour, so put the phone in another room and tell the household that the session is not an interruptible event.

How much does an IB home tutor in Lodha Splendora cost?+

We do not publish rates, because the honest answer depends on five variables and a number would mislead you. Programme stage is the biggest: a Diploma Programme Higher Level subject costs more per hour than Primary Years Programme reading support. Then subject scarcity, travel distance, session length and whether the tutor marks work between sessions. The township helps you here: a tutor who teaches three families in one evening inside the same gate prices the Ghodbunder Road journey once instead of three times. Fees are agreed directly between you and the tutor, and the trial session is paid.

Is online tutoring good enough for a Middle Years Programme student?+

Usually not below Grade 9, and we would rather say that than sell you the easier booking. An MYP student at Grade 6 or 7 needs a tutor who can see the notebook close, the sideways glance at the phone and the moment the explanation stopped landing, and a camera hides all three. Online makes real sense for a scarce subject nobody in Thane teaches, or for a self-managing DP2 student who wants a Sunday paper review. For a twelve-year-old in Lodha Splendora, home tuition two evenings a week will do more than four online hours.

What happens if the tutor is not working out after three sessions?+

Tell us rather than the tutor, and we arrange a replacement from the same shortlist process without you starting again. Three sessions is a reasonable point to judge chemistry and preparation, though not results. The usual reasons a match fails are mismatched pace, a tutor who explains rather than diagnoses, and a personality the child will not ask a stupid question in front of. None of those are worth enduring for a term. We will ask what specifically did not work, because that detail makes the second match much more likely to hold.

There has been no progress after a month. What should we do?+

At four weeks, check what you are measuring before changing anything. Grades rarely move in a month, and if they have not, that is normal. What should have changed is that your child can name her own weakness precisely, the tutor arrives with a plan, and work is being marked between sessions. If none of those three has happened, the match is wrong and the fix is a different tutor rather than a second weekly hour. If all three have happened but the marks have not, give it a full term and review again at the end of it.

Do you cover the Primary Years Programme, or only the Diploma Programme?+

We cover all three IB stages, though we will often tell a PYP parent they do not need us. PYP has no external examinations and is assessed on inquiry, so hiring a tutor to lift a report-card grade is paying for something the programme does not measure. Where PYP support works is narrow: reading fluency, number bonds and place value, and the confidence to write independently. MYP and DP are where most of our Thane work sits, and the advantage of a township is that one tutor can follow a child from MYP into DP without a new search.

Which months are the pressure points for an IB student in Mumbai?+

September to October and January to February are the two collisions. In the first, Diploma Programme Internal Assessment drafts, the Extended Essay submission and the Theory of Knowledge exhibition tend to land alongside school examinations. In the second, DP2 students face mocks, final IA deadlines and predicted grades going to universities in the same few weeks. April is already too late to start: study leave has begun and past-paper stamina cannot be built in three weeks. The useful month to begin is July, when the new year is quiet and there are twelve weeks before anything collides.

Can one tutor help with the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge too?+

Sometimes, and it depends on the subject rather than on willingness. An Extended Essay needs a tutor who knows the subject's research conventions, so a History specialist can supervise a History EE well and should not touch a Biology one. Theory of Knowledge is a different skill again, closer to structured argument than to any subject, and the tutors who do it well are usually language or humanities teachers. Many DP families in Lodha Splendora keep their subject tutor for the subject and add a short block of TOK or EE sessions in the term the deadline falls.

Are your tutors teachers from the Thane schools my child attends?+

Some have taught at international schools in Mumbai, but IB Gram is an independent tutor-matching platform and is not affiliated with any school we name, including Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School and NES International School. We never place a tutor who currently assesses your child's work, because a teacher marking the same student she is paid to coach is a conflict no family should accept. What we do look for is someone who has taught the programme stage your child is in, and who can show where that experience came from.

Find your Lodha Splendora tutor

Send one message with your child's year group, IB programme stage and the two subjects that are slipping, and say which evening suits you. You will get two or three profiles to read, with qualifications and IB teaching history. Pick one, hold a paid trial session in your own flat, and decide afterwards. If you want an IB home tutor in Lodha Splendora for a popular early-evening slot, ask at the start of the term rather than the middle.
