IB Home Tutor in Dronagiri, Mumbai

An IB home tutor in Dronagiri is usually assembled from a shortlist rather than found next door, because this node of Navi Mumbai is still filling up. IB Gram matches Diploma Programme, Middle Years Programme and Primary Years Programme students here with checked subject specialists, in person from Kharghar or Panvel, or online from anywhere in Mumbai.

How does IB Gram shortlist an IB home tutor in Dronagiri?

A shortlist here begins with four answers, not with a tutor profile. IB Gram asks which International Baccalaureate (IB) programme the student is in, which two or three subjects are actually slipping, what the school has already put in writing on the last report, and whether the family wants someone at the dining table or on a screen. For an IB home tutor in Dronagiri that last answer carries more weight than it would in Powai or Bandra, because the number of trained Diploma Programme (DP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) specialists living inside this node is genuinely small, and anyone matching tutors in Navi Mumbai honestly will tell you so in the first call rather than the fourth.

The second step is geography. Dronagiri sits on the Dronagiri–Ulwe node with Targhar / Bamandongri as its nearest station, and tutor supply thickens as you move inland towards Kharghar and Panvel. The search radius is therefore drawn node to node rather than as a circle on a map: Ulwe first, then Panvel, then Kharghar, and only after those do we look at a screen. Navi Mumbai is planned in nodes, Vashi, Nerul, Belapur, Kharghar and Panvel, each a short drive from the next on the Sion–Panvel Highway and Palm Beach Road. A tutor who already teaches two students in Kharghar on a Tuesday can add a Dronagiri family to the same evening run without the arrangement quietly collapsing in week six.

Third comes the subject match, which is where most parents want to skip ahead and should not. A Theory of Knowledge (TOK) essay and a Higher Level (HL) Chemistry Internal Assessment (IA) are different problems, and a teacher who is strong on one is not automatically useful on the other. You receive two or three profiles carrying board experience, the subjects at Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL) each person has actually taught rather than merely studied, and the evenings they are free. You speak to them yourself before anything is booked, and nothing is charged for that conversation.

Fourth, the trial. A first session of IB home tuition in Dronagiri is a diagnosis rather than a lesson: the tutor reads the last school report, works through a paper the student has already sat, and says out loud what is going wrong. IB Gram is an independent tutor matching service, not a coaching chain, and is not affiliated with any school named on this page or with the IB organisation. We do not guarantee grades. What the first session should give you is one honest sentence about how far behind the student is and roughly how long the climb will take.

  • 1. Tell us the programme, the year group and the subjects actually slipping
  • 2. We draw the radius node to node: Ulwe, then Panvel, then Kharghar
  • 3. Two or three profiles reach you with subjects, levels and free evenings
  • 4. You speak to the tutor yourself before a single session is booked
  • 5. Session one diagnoses, and you decide afterwards whether it continues

Which IB programme is your child in, and what changes at each stage?

Three programmes sit under the International Baccalaureate and the tutoring they need is not interchangeable. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) runs to roughly Year 5, is inquiry led and carries no external examinations. The Middle Years Programme (MYP) covers Years 6 to 10 and is graded against published criteria rather than percentages. The Diploma Programme (DP) is the two year course that ends in external papers, and it behaves like nothing that came before it.

PYP work at home looks almost nothing like tutoring as most Indian parents experienced it. There is no chapter to finish and no weekly test to beat. A PYP home tutor in Dronagiri, Mumbai spends the hour on reading fluency, number sense, the vocabulary of the current unit of inquiry, and the habit of explaining an answer rather than producing one. Parents who moved here from a state or national board often cannot see a gap at all, because the report says things like developing and consolidating instead of giving a mark out of fifty. The useful diagnostic at this stage is to listen to the child read aloud for five minutes and ask them to explain what they just read.

MYP is where most families in the Dronagiri–Ulwe node first ask for help, and the reason is usually the criteria. Each subject is assessed against four strands with their own command terms, and a student can know the content perfectly and still score badly because the response was not structured the way the criterion asks. Criterion based marking rewards process, and process is teachable. Years 9 and 10 add the personal project and, in many schools, the first serious coursework the child has ever had to plan alone.

DP is the stage where the calendar starts doing the damage. Six subjects, three at Higher Level, plus TOK, the Extended Essay (EE) and Creativity, Activity, Service, all landing in the same eighteen months. The subject choice made in Year 11 constrains everything afterwards, which is why a conversation about level and route belongs before the first exam result rather than after it. Families searching for the best IB tutor in Dronagiri in DP2 are often really searching for someone who can rescue a timetable, and that is a different and harder job.

  • PYP: fluency, number sense and explaining an answer, with no external paper
  • MYP: four criteria per subject, command terms, and the personal project
  • DP: six subjects, three at Higher Level, plus TOK, the Extended Essay and CAS
  • Level and route decisions in Year 11 constrain the whole of DP2
  • Ask the coordinator for the current subject guide before fixing a plan

Subject choice, HL and SL, and the internal assessments nobody warned you about

Subject choice is the decision that quietly sets the next two years, and most families make it in a week. Three Higher Level subjects demand noticeably more contact time, more independent reading and a heavier internal assessment load than three at Standard Level, and the honest question is not which looks impressive on a university form but which three a particular fifteen year old will still be able to carry in February of DP2. A household that wants one point of contact across all IB and IGCSE subjects a tutor in Dronagiri can cover usually ends up with two tutors rather than one, because breadth and depth rarely live in the same person.

Every IB subject carries an internally assessed component, and that component is where ordinary students lose ground without anyone noticing until it is late. In the sciences it is an investigation the student designs. In Mathematics it is an exploration on a topic of their own choosing. In the languages it is oral work recorded under conditions. In the humanities it is a written investigation with its own structure. Each has a published set of criteria, and each is marked by the school and moderated externally. The structures change on the subject guide cycle, so take the component details from your school coordinator or the current guide rather than from any page on the internet, this one included.

The failure pattern we see most often in Navi Mumbai is a student who understands the content and cannot produce the artefact. They can explain diffraction and cannot write a research question narrow enough to investigate. They can integrate and cannot find a mathematical idea worth exploring. A tutor running home classes for an IB student in Mumbai earns their fee in the planning weeks, not the writing weeks, because a badly chosen research question costs marks that no amount of later polishing recovers.

Language subjects deserve a separate note here because families in this part of Navi Mumbai often arrive mid pathway. A child who spent primary school on Hindi and lands in a school offering a different Language B is in real difficulty, and the fix is a tutor with the specific language rather than a generalist. Scarcity of that kind is the main reason a Dronagiri match sometimes goes online: the right language teacher may be sitting in Thane or Andheri, and a weekly drive across the creek will not survive the monsoon.

  • Three HL subjects cost more hours per week than families budget for
  • Every subject carries an internally assessed component with published criteria
  • Most marks are lost at the planning stage, not in the final draft
  • Language B pathways break when a child changes schools mid stage
  • Check component structure against the current guide, not an old handout

Dronagiri, Ulwe, Panvel and Kharghar: where your tutor actually travels from

Dronagiri is one of the newest nodes in Navi Mumbai, and that single fact explains most of what is different about hiring here. The towers went up faster than the tutor population, so the person who teaches your child DP Economics almost certainly does not live on your road. They live in Kharghar or Panvel, occasionally in Ulwe, and they reach you by road. Honest matching in Dronagiri therefore starts with online tutoring and then works towards a Kharghar or Panvel tutor for in person sessions, rather than pretending a dense local pool exists.

Ulwe is the closest in practice and the most likely source of a short hop visit, particularly for primary and early MYP work where the session is an hour rather than two. Panvel brings the deepest bench because it is an older settlement with established schools and a large teaching population, and it connects to the node by the Sion–Panvel Highway. Kharghar sits between the two in both distance and supply, and it is the node where the greatest number of experienced DP subject teachers actually live. Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 running Belapur to Pendhar has made the Kharghar to Belapur stretch easier, though a tutor coming to Dronagiri is driving, not taking the Metro.

Trains matter less here than parents expect. Targhar and Bamandongri are the nearest stations on the Harbour Line extension towards Panvel, and the Trans-Harbour Line links Thane to Vashi, but a tutor carrying a bag of past papers to a seven o clock session is on Palm Beach Road or the Sion–Panvel Highway, not on a platform. The Atal Setu has genuinely shortened the drive from the island city, and it has not made a weekly commitment from Worli or Colaba sensible. Pulling a tutor across the creek for a weekday evening lesson rarely survives a full term, and the arrangement that dies in October costs the student more than the one that never started.

For families on the edges of the node, the practical rule is to ask where the tutor already teaches on that day. IB home tuition in Dronagiri works when your slot is attached to an existing run, so the honest question in the first call is not how far away the tutor lives but what else is on their Tuesday.

  • Ulwe: closest realistic source for shorter primary and early MYP sessions
  • Panvel: the deepest bench of experienced teachers, reached by the Sion–Panvel Highway
  • Kharghar: most DP subject specialists, and the usual in person match
  • Targhar / Bamandongri are your stations, but tutors arrive by road
  • Ask what else is on the tutor's Tuesday before fixing a slot

The school calendar Dronagiri families in Mumbai actually live by

Children from this node are bussed out to international schools rather than walking to one, and the bus timing sets the tutoring slot more rigidly than anything else. Families here commonly attend D.Y. Patil International School at Nerul and Ryan Global School, both reached by school transport along Palm Beach Road and the Sion–Panvel Highway. IB Gram names these schools as local context only, is not affiliated with either, and has no arrangement with any school in Navi Mumbai.

A child leaving at half past six in the morning and getting home at half past four is not going to do productive academic work at five. This is why so many home classes in Mumbai in this node are fixed at seven or seven thirty, and why two shorter sessions often beat one long one. Saturday morning is the other slot that genuinely works here, because nobody is fighting the school bus and the tutor can drive in from Panvel or Kharghar before the day heats up.

The calendar itself runs on a pattern most Mumbai international schools share. The academic year opens around the start of June, and the first real assessment pressure arrives from late August into October. November and December bring mock examinations for DP2 and the heaviest internal assessment drafting of the year. January and February are the months when IA and Extended Essay final deadlines cluster, and they cluster badly, which is how a student ends up with a Physics investigation and a TOK essay due in the same fortnight. External papers run in May for the May session cohort, with results in July.

The planning consequence is simple and most families get it wrong. Starting a tutor in January because the mock results were poor gives the tutor six or seven weeks before the final deadlines land, and that is not enough time to change how a student writes. Starting in August gives them a full run at it. If you are reading this page in the first term, you are early, and early is the only real advantage available.

  • School transport timing, not tutor availability, usually fixes the evening slot
  • Late August to October is the first genuine assessment pressure point
  • November and December carry mocks plus the heaviest IA drafting
  • January and February cluster final internal deadlines uncomfortably close
  • Saturday mornings work well because the school bus is not involved

Home tuition, online or hybrid for a family in Dronagiri?

Home tuition is the default and it should be, because a tutor sitting at your table sees things a camera does not: the phone face down next to the notebook, the handwriting that collapses halfway down the page, the younger sibling at the same table. For an IB home tutor in Dronagiri the practical limit is supply, not preference. If the subject is Mathematics, English or a mainstream science, an in person match from Kharghar or Panvel is realistic. If it is a scarcer combination at Higher Level, insisting on in person often means waiting weeks for someone who will then resent the drive.

Online is the honest first answer in this node for anything specialised, and it is better than its reputation if it is set up properly. A document camera or even a phone on a stand pointed at the page lets the tutor watch the working rather than the finished answer, which is the entire game in Mathematics and Physics. Shared annotation of a past paper works well. Recorded sessions let a student revisit a worked explanation in April. An IB online tutor in Dronagiri can also be the person who actually taught that subject in an IB school, which is often worth more than proximity.

Online is the wrong choice for some students and nobody should pretend otherwise. A Year 7 or Year 8 child who cannot yet work unsupervised for forty minutes will drift within ten, and the parent ends up supervising the session they paid to be relieved of. Students with attention difficulties, students who are already avoiding the subject, and students who need their book physically taken out of their bag all do better with a person in the room.

Hybrid is what most Dronagiri families settle into after a term, and it is a reasonable destination rather than a compromise. One in person session a week from a Panvel or Kharghar tutor anchors the relationship, and a second shorter online session mid week handles homework review and exam technique. It also absorbs the monsoon, when the drive down the Sion–Panvel Highway becomes unpredictable and the alternative to an online hour is a cancelled one.

  • In person: best for younger students and anyone avoiding the subject
  • Online: usually the only route to a scarce Higher Level specialist
  • Point a camera at the working, not the face, for Mathematics and sciences
  • Hybrid: one visit plus one short online review handles most households
  • Monsoon weeks are the real argument for keeping an online fallback

How are IB tutors in Mumbai checked before you meet them?

Every tutor on the platform is checked on three things before a profile is sent to a family: identity, qualification and relevant teaching experience. Identity means a government photograph document matched to the person who turns up. Qualification means the degree in the subject they propose to teach, not a general education degree used across six subjects. Experience means board specific work, because teaching Mathematics for a state board for ten years does not prepare anyone to mark against MYP criteria or supervise a Mathematics exploration.

References are taken from families the tutor has worked with, and what we ask them is deliberately narrow: did the tutor arrive when they said they would, did they communicate when something changed, and did the student's work visibly change. Punctuality sounds like a trivial check until you are the family in Dronagiri whose tutor is routinely twenty minutes late because they underestimated Palm Beach Road at seven on a Thursday.

There is a second layer of checking that only you can do, and you should do it in the first conversation. Ask which syllabus version the tutor is teaching from and when they last looked at it. Ask them to describe a specific error pattern they have seen in this subject and how they fixed it. Ask what they will do in the first four sessions. A tutor who answers in generalities about building confidence has not taught the course recently. Be wary of anyone who offers a guaranteed grade, because no honest teacher can offer one and the offer itself tells you what sort of arrangement you are entering.

IB Gram checks tutors and introduces them. We do not employ them, we are not a school, and we are not affiliated with the schools named on this page. We do not guarantee grades, and no part of this verification process is a substitute for the half hour conversation you have with the tutor before the first session. A home tutor for all IB and IGCSE subjects in Mumbai does not exist as a single person, and anybody presenting themselves that way has failed your first check already.

  • Government photograph identity matched to the person who actually attends
  • Subject degree checked, not a general teaching qualification stretched thin
  • References asked about punctuality, communication and visible change in work
  • You should ask which syllabus version they teach from and when they read it
  • Treat an offer of a specific grade as a reason to stop the conversation

Why the newest node in Navi Mumbai changes how you hire a home tutor

Dronagiri is among the newest Navi Mumbai nodes, and in tutoring terms a new node behaves differently from an established one in three specific ways. The first is supply. In Bandra or Powai a parent can usually find four plausible tutors living within three kilometres, so proximity is nearly free and they optimise for personality. Here proximity is expensive, which means the sensible strategy is to decide what you will trade. Most families should trade distance for subject specialism and accept an online or Kharghar based match rather than take whoever is nearest.

The second difference is pricing. IB tuition fees in Dronagiri are shaped by the same factors as anywhere in Mumbai, which are board, level, how scarce the subject specialism is, how long the session runs, and how far the tutor travels. What changes in a new node is the weight on that last factor. A tutor driving in from Panvel for a single ninety minute session is giving up most of an evening, and that shows up either in the rate or in the tutor losing interest by week eight. Two students in the same tower sharing a slot changes the arithmetic for everyone, and it is worth asking neighbours before you ask us. We do not publish a price list, because a rate quoted for DP Mathematics at Higher Level says nothing useful about a PYP reading hour.

The third difference is continuity risk, and it is the one parents underestimate. In a mature neighbourhood a tutor who quits is replaced in a fortnight. Here, the replacement may be the fourth best fit rather than the second, so the arrangement is worth protecting. Protecting it means a fixed weekly slot the tutor can plan a route around, paying on time, telling them about a school trip a week in advance instead of an hour, and not moving the session twice a month. An IB private tutor in Dronagiri who can rely on your Tuesday will keep your Tuesday.

There is one more consequence worth saying plainly. Because the in person pool is thin, this node rewards starting early far more than a central Mumbai address does. A family that begins looking in August has time to try an online match, discover it is not working for a Year 8 student, and arrange a Kharghar visit instead. A family that begins in January has one attempt. The parents who get good outcomes here are not the ones who found a better tutor, they are the ones who started with enough runway to get the second choice right.

  • Decide early what you will trade: proximity or subject specialism
  • Travel distance weighs more heavily on rates here than in central Mumbai
  • Two students in one tower sharing a slot changes the arithmetic sharply
  • A fixed, protected weekly slot is what keeps a travelling tutor engaged
  • Starting in August buys you a second attempt that January does not

What does real progress look like at four weeks and one term?

At four weeks you should not be looking at grades, and a tutor who points at one is managing you. What should have changed by the fourth session is observable at your dining table: the student opens the book without being asked twice, can say what the last session was about, and attempts a question before declaring it impossible. In a subject with written components you should see an outline before a draft. If none of that has shifted after four sessions, something is wrong with the match and it should be said out loud rather than given another month.

At one term, roughly twelve to fourteen sessions, the measurable thing is the shape of the errors rather than the number of them. A Physics student who was losing marks on definitions and on the extended response should, by the end of a term, be losing them only on the extended response. That is real progress even if the percentage barely moved, because the remaining problem is now a single teachable skill rather than four overlapping ones. Ask the tutor at the end of the term to name the two error patterns that are gone and the one that remains. A tutor running IB home classes in Dronagiri who cannot answer that question has not been diagnosing.

At one exam cycle the honest statement is that grades move for some students and not for others, and the variables that matter most are outside the tutor's control: how much the student works between sessions, whether the subject choice was right in the first place, and how late the help started. IB Gram does not guarantee grades and will not publish a success rate, because any number of that kind is either selected or meaningless. What a good tutor reliably changes is how the student works, and that is the thing that transfers to the next subject.

There is a scenario worth naming because it recurs here. A DP2 student starts tutoring in February with two Higher Level subjects in trouble. The realistic objective at that point is not transformation, it is triage: protect the subject that is nearly recoverable, stabilise the other, and make sure the internal assessment marks that are already banked are not wasted through a badly structured final paper. Any tutor who promises more than that in twelve weeks is selling something.

  • Four weeks: attempts questions unprompted, can summarise the last session
  • One term: fewer kinds of error, not simply fewer errors
  • Ask your tutor to name the error patterns gone and the one remaining
  • Starting in February means triage, and triage is a legitimate plan
  • No honest tutor offers a guaranteed grade or quotes a success rate

Starting IB home classes in Dronagiri this term

Have three things ready before the first conversation and the match gets better immediately. The most recent school report, including the comments nobody reads. One piece of the student's actual written work, ideally something that was marked and came back disappointing. And the two or three evening windows that genuinely work around the school bus, stated as times rather than as generally after seven.

The first session then has somewhere to start. A tutor arriving for IB home tuition in Dronagiri with a marked script in front of them spends the hour on diagnosis rather than on introductions. They will usually work backwards through a question the student got wrong, asking what the student was thinking at each line, which is how you find out whether the problem is the content, the command term, the time pressure or the reading.

Expect the tutor to end that first session by telling you something you did not want to hear. That the Higher Level choice is the real problem. That the student is two years behind in algebra and the current topic is a symptom. That three sessions a week would help and two is what the student can actually absorb. A diagnosis you agree with completely is usually a diagnosis that has told you nothing.

After that, the arrangement is between you and the tutor, with IB Gram available if it needs to change. Tell us in the first fortnight if the fit is wrong, because a replacement found in week two is easy and one found in week nine is not. We will ask what specifically did not work, so that the second match is a different person rather than a similar one, and we will say honestly if what you want is not available in this part of Navi Mumbai at all.

  • Bring the last report, one marked piece of work and your real evening windows
  • Session one works backwards through a wrong answer, line by line
  • A useful first diagnosis usually contains something you did not want to hear
  • Tell us in the first fortnight if the fit is wrong, not in week nine
  • We will say plainly when the match you want does not exist nearby
FAQs

Dronagiri tutoring — questions parents ask

What does an IB home tutor in Dronagiri actually cost?+

There is no single rate, and anyone quoting one without asking about the subject is guessing. IB tuition fees in Dronagiri depend on the programme stage, the level, how scarce the subject specialism is, how long each session runs, and how far the tutor travels to reach the Dronagiri–Ulwe node. A PYP reading hour and a Higher Level Mathematics session are different products. Travel weighs more here than it does in the Western Suburbs, because the tutor is usually driving in from Panvel or Kharghar. Ask for the rate and the expected session length together, and ask whether it changes if a sibling joins.

Will a tutor travel to Dronagiri for a weekday evening slot?+

Yes, most commonly from Kharghar or Panvel, and the slot that survives is one attached to an existing run. A tutor who already teaches in Kharghar on Tuesdays can add a Dronagiri family to the same evening and keep it for a full year. A tutor making a single dedicated trip from Vashi or Nerul for ninety minutes usually cannot. Palm Beach Road and the Sion–Panvel Highway are the routes involved, and both are slower at seven than at four. Fix the slot at a consistent time and protect it, because a travelling tutor plans a whole evening around it.

Is online tutoring here a compromise or the right answer?+

For a scarce Higher Level subject it is usually the right answer rather than a compromise. Dronagiri is among the newest nodes in Navi Mumbai, so the specialist who has actually taught DP Chemistry or a particular Language B may live in Thane or Andheri, and a weekly drive from there will not last a term. An IB online tutor in Dronagiri with real board experience beats a nearby generalist for exam technique and internal assessment supervision. For a Year 7 student who cannot work unsupervised, it is the wrong choice, and we will say so rather than take the booking.

What does the society gate need before a home tutor arrives?+

Most buildings in this node run visitor entry through an app or a register at the main gate, and the simplest fix is to add the tutor as a recurring visitor for a fixed day and time rather than approving them weekly. Give the security desk the name and the standing slot in writing. Tell the tutor which tower and wing you are in, because several complexes here have near identical entrances and a tutor circling for ten minutes loses that time from the lesson. If the flat is unsuitable for a session, ask whether the building has a study room.

My child is in MYP and the report has no percentages. How do I know there is a problem?+

Read the criterion levels rather than the overall comment, and look for a subject where one criterion sits well below the others. That pattern almost always means a skill gap rather than a knowledge gap: the student knows the material and is not producing it in the form the criterion asks for. Compare two subjects and you will often see the same criterion weak in both, which points at writing structure or at command terms. Then ask the subject teacher one question: which criterion would you work on first? Most will answer honestly and specifically if asked that narrowly.

How many hours a week does a DP student realistically need?+

For one struggling subject, most families start with two hours a week and that is usually right. Two hours split into two sessions beats a single long block, because the gap between them is where the student finds out what they cannot do alone. For two subjects in trouble, three to four hours is common, and beyond that you are usually looking at a subject choice problem rather than a tutoring problem. During the mock period and the January and February deadline cluster, families often add a short extra session, then drop back. More hours do not substitute for work done between sessions.

The tutor is not working out after three sessions. What happens now?+

Tell us in the first fortnight and a replacement is arranged without a conversation about fault. We will ask one specific question before rematching: what exactly did not work. Too fast, too slow, no structure, no rapport and wrong subject depth all lead to different second choices, and without that detail the second match tends to resemble the first. In this part of Navi Mumbai a rematch takes a little longer than it would in the Western Suburbs, because the in person pool is thinner, so raising it early genuinely matters. Nothing is owed beyond sessions already taught.

Can one tutor cover all my child's subjects?+

Up to about Year 8, often yes. From MYP Year 9 and certainly through the Diploma Programme, no, and a tutor claiming otherwise is a warning sign. The internal assessment in each subject has its own criteria and its own common failure modes, and depth in Physics does not transfer to History. Families who want all IB and IGCSE subjects home classes in Dronagiri under one roof usually end up with a core tutor for Mathematics and the sciences and a second person for languages or humanities. Two specialists for two hours each beats one generalist for four.

Do I need to be at home during the session?+

For primary and early MYP students, yes, at least in the first few weeks, though being in the flat is enough and sitting at the table is usually counterproductive. For DP students an adult at home is sensible but your presence in the room is not. What helps far more than supervision is a five minute conversation with the tutor at the end of the session about what was covered and what was set. Families who do that consistently get noticeably more out of home tuition than families who treat the hour as a closed box.

When in the Mumbai school year should we start?+

August is the best moment and January is the most common one. Starting in August, soon after the first real assessments, gives a tutor a full run at how the student works before the November mocks and the February internal assessment cluster. Starting in January after poor mock results leaves six or seven weeks before final deadlines, which is enough for triage and not enough to change technique. If you are reading this in the first term, you are early, and in a node with a thin in person pool that runway is the single biggest advantage available to you.

Is a tutor commuting from Kharghar worse than one living in Dronagiri?+

Not if the slot is attached to their existing route, and often better, because the Kharghar and Panvel pool contains far more teachers who have actually taught the Diploma Programme in a school. Navi Mumbai is planned node to node and tutors are matched the same way, so a Kharghar based teacher covering Dronagiri, Ulwe and Panvel on one evening is a normal and stable arrangement. What does not work is pulling someone across the creek from the island city for a weekday evening. That arrangement looks fine in July and is gone by October.

Can a tutor promise a specific grade by May?+

No, and the promise itself should end the conversation. We do not guarantee grades, we do not publish success rates, and no honest teacher can commit to an outcome that depends on how much a student works between sessions. What a tutor can reasonably commit to is a diagnosis in the first session, a named plan for the next four, and a straight answer at the end of a term about which error patterns have gone. IB Gram is an independent tutor matching service, not affiliated with any school named here or with the IB organisation.
