IB Chemistry Tutor in Mulund East, Mumbai

An IB chemistry home tutor in Mulund East, Mumbai usually arrives to find one of three problems rather than a general weakness: the quantitative work, the structural reasoning, or organic mechanisms. Identifying which one is the whole job of the first session. This page sets out how that diagnosis works and what a term realistically changes.

How an IB chemistry home tutor in Mulund East is matched to the right gap

We ask for a marked paper before a topic list, because Chemistry hides its failures unusually well. A student losing marks on energetics often understands energetics perfectly and cannot handle the moles calculation the question opens with. A student scoring badly on organic chemistry frequently knows every reaction and has never been taught to draw a curly arrow from the correct origin. A student failing acid and base questions is usually fine on the theory and lost in logarithms. Three very different fixes, one identical-looking symptom in the report. Telling them apart is the first job of any IB chemistry home tutor in Mulund East.

The sequence is short and we keep it that way. 1. Level: Higher Level (HL) or Standard Level (SL), and which Diploma Programme (DP) year. 2. One marked paper or topic test, ideally a weak one, since the marking is where the diagnosis lives. 3. Whether the scientific investigation has been proposed, started or not yet mentioned, because that changes the shortlist. 4. The two slots your household can protect with real start times. 5. Two or three verified profiles, a free call with each, and a first lesson only after you choose somebody.

Level is not a formality in this subject. The additional Higher Level material is not simply more reactions; it raises the quantitative demand across energetics, equilibrium, acids and bases and electrochemistry, and it expects the student to combine two topics in one question. A Chemistry tutor in Mulund East who has taught Standard Level only will carry a Higher Level student competently through the shared material and stall where the grade is actually decided. Ask which level they taught most recently, across how many cohorts, and ask them to name the papers your child will sit.

We will also say when Chemistry is not the problem, which happens more often than families expect. A student failing Chemistry and Mathematics simultaneously usually has one algebraic weakness appearing twice, and one tutor who can work across both is faster and cheaper than two specialists. A student whose Chemistry marks dropped the term the Extended Essay (EE) was due has a workload problem rather than a chemistry problem. That triage in the first week is the most useful thing home tuition offers a family in Mumbai, and it is free.

  • The marked paper matters more than the topic list
  • Three different gaps produce one identical report comment
  • Higher Level raises quantitative demand and combines topics in single questions
  • Say whether the scientific investigation has been proposed yet
  • Chemistry and Maths failing together is usually one algebra problem

Higher or Standard Level Chemistry: which one does the degree need?

Take Higher Level Chemistry if the destination is medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, chemical engineering, biochemistry or chemistry itself, because most competitive courses in those fields require it and some will not consider Standard Level at all. Take Standard Level if Chemistry supports a different destination. The decisive capability is not interest in the subject; it is whether the student can carry a multi-step calculation through without losing track of what each number represents. That is what the additional Higher Level content assumes from the first term, and it is testable in half an hour.

The International Baccalaureate now organises Diploma Chemistry around two broad themes, structure and reactivity, assessed through written papers and an individually produced scientific investigation. Paper 1 includes a multiple-choice element and a data-based element which reward quite different preparation, and Paper 2 is structured extended response. Where any further component applies to your child's cohort, your school's IB coordinator is the person to ask: the IB revises subject guides and assessment arrangements on its own cycle, so take nothing about component structure from an article, this one included.

The subject combination is worth thinking about a year early. Higher Level Chemistry alongside Higher Level Biology is the standard medicine pathway and is a heavy memory and precision load rather than a heavy mathematical one. Higher Level Chemistry with Higher Level Physics and Higher Level Mathematics is the opposite and suits a different student entirely. Either can work. Choosing without looking at the student's actual written output, as opposed to their grades, is how a family ends up changing a level in Diploma year two, which is the expensive moment to do it.

A student who did well in Middle Years Programme (MYP) sciences and is struggling in Diploma year one Chemistry is meeting a change in what is assessed. The Middle Years Programme rewards clear investigation and communication against criteria. Diploma Chemistry assumes arithmetic and algebraic reliability, then layers reasoning on top. An IB tutor Mumbai parents keep across that transition is generally one who spent the first three weeks on quantitative chemistry rather than on the current topic, which feels like going backwards and is the fastest route forwards.

  • Higher Level is required for most medicine, pharmacy and chemical engineering routes
  • The real test is carrying a multi-step calculation without losing track of quantities
  • Paper 1's multiple-choice and data-based parts need different preparation
  • Confirm the current component structure with your school's IB coordinator
  • Chemistry with Biology is a precision load; with Physics and Maths it is a quantitative one

Chemistry is three subjects in one: where Mumbai students stall

The quantitative strand is the first and the one that blocks everything else. Moles, molar mass, concentration, limiting reagent, percentage yield, gas calculations and titration arithmetic appear inside energetics, equilibrium, acids and bases, and electrochemistry. A student who is unreliable here is unreliable everywhere, because almost every structured question in the paper opens with a quantity that has to be calculated before any chemistry can be done. This is also where significant figures and units cost marks silently, and where the fix is drilling rather than explanation.

The structural strand is second: atomic structure and the reasons behind periodic trends, Lewis structures, molecular shape and bond angles, intermolecular forces and why they explain boiling points and solubility. The failure mode here is a student who has memorised outcomes rather than the reasoning, so they can state a trend and cannot deduce one for an unfamiliar species. Examiners ask for the deduction. A tutor who tests this by handing over a molecule the student has not seen, rather than by asking what the trend is, finds out in two minutes.

The organic strand is third and it fails on notation more than on knowledge. Curly arrows have to start from a lone pair or from the centre of a bond and end where the electrons go, and a mechanism drawn with arrows from atoms rather than electrons scores nothing however correct the products are. Naming conventions, functional group recognition, and reasoning about why a particular site is attacked are the rest of it. Chemistry home classes Mulund East parents arrange for a Higher Level student in Diploma year two are quite often organic mechanism work alone, and that is a legitimate month of teaching.

Across all three, the command terms carry marks of their own. State, describe, explain, deduce, determine, suggest and justify each have defined expectations, and treating explain as describe caps the mark on every extended-response question. A good diagnostic therefore reports which of the three strands is failing, whether the losses are in arithmetic or in reasoning, and which command terms are being misread. A home tutor for Chemistry Mumbai families keep is one whose first written feedback says exactly that rather than offering a topic list.

  • Quantitative: moles, concentration, limiting reagent, yield, titration arithmetic
  • Structural: Lewis structures, shapes, bond angles, intermolecular forces
  • Structural failures show as memorised trends that cannot be deduced
  • Organic: curly arrows must start at a lone pair or a bond, not an atom
  • A correct product with a wrong mechanism scores nothing
  • Command terms cap marks independently of content knowledge

Which areas can a chemistry tutor reach from, around Mulund East?

Mulund East itself, Mulund West, Thane West and Bhandup, with the ranking shifting by the hour of the lesson. Mulund station sits on the Central Line and the Eastern Express Highway runs alongside it, and this locality opens directly onto the highway. The practical consequence is specific: a tutor living around Thane station or Pokhran Road reaches you in roughly fifteen minutes outside the peak, while a tutor coming up from Ghatkopar spends most of the journey on slow, signal-heavy road and will be late more often than not.

Thane West carries the deepest Higher Level chemistry pool of the four, which matters because Higher Level Chemistry specialists with recent cohorts are not evenly spread across Mumbai. Mulund West is the easiest adjacent catchment, minutes across the tracks, so a tutor already teaching two families there can take a third here without rebuilding their week, and that stability is what carries a household through February. Bhandup is closer in kilometres and approached on local roads, which makes it dependable at 4.30pm and considerably less so at 7.30pm.

Punctuality does something specific for this subject rather than merely being courteous. A productive chemistry session runs as a short teaching block, then a structured calculation or a mechanism set under timing, then marking in front of the student. The timed portion is what builds the ability to get through a multi-step quantitative question at speed, and it is always what disappears when the tutor arrives twenty minutes late, because nobody abandons a half-finished explanation. Parents searching IB tutors near me Mulund East are, in practice, searching for a tutor whose arrival time does not vary, which is the main thing an IB chemistry home tutor in Mulund East is being paid for in the first month.

We hold the radius at those four areas deliberately. The Central Suburbs sit on the Central Line and the Eastern Express Highway, with Powai and Chandivali hanging off JVLR in between. Powai is the odd one out: it is physically central but has no station of its own, so tutors reach it by road from Andheri East, Kanjurmarg or Ghatkopar. A strong Higher Level chemistry specialist in Powai is a real option as an online tutor and a poor bet as a weekly visitor, and we would rather say so in week one than lose the slot in November.

  • Workable origins: Mulund East, Mulund West, Thane West and Bhandup
  • Thane West holds the deepest Higher Level chemistry pool nearby
  • Mulund West tutors can add a slot without reshaping their week
  • A late start removes the timed calculation set, not the teaching
  • Powai chemistry specialists are better offered online than weekly

Practical schedules, term dates and the Mulund East calendar

Chemistry has a practical calendar that other subjects do not, and it has to be part of the brief. Schools set their own dates for the scientific investigation proposal, the laboratory work and the draft, and those dates are fixed. A student in a data-collection window is not simultaneously available for topic teaching, and a tutor who does not know the date will schedule exactly the wrong thing. Families in this part of Mumbai who send us the practical dates alongside the subject get a plan that bends around them.

Children here attend schools on both sides of the Thane boundary, and the names that recur in briefs from this locality are NES International School and Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School. They appear as local context only, because their internal calendars set the dates households plan around. IB Gram is an independent platform, not affiliated with NES International School, Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School or the International Baccalaureate Organization, and no tutor on the platform represents a school.

The year opens in June. Diploma year one begins with atomic structure and quantitative chemistry, which is precisely where reliability is established or quietly not established, and almost nothing is assessed in the first month. The first topic test in late July or August is the first honest signal, and in Chemistry it usually lands harder than parents expect because the moles work is unforgiving. Through the autumn the harder reasoning arrives. January and February of Diploma year two is the bottleneck, where the investigation draft, the Extended Essay and paper practice all compete for the same evenings.

That makes the timing answer concrete. A tutor engaged in Diploma year one can make the quantitative work automatic before it has to carry energetics and equilibrium on top of it, and can shape a workable investigation question. A tutor engaged in January of year two does paper technique, organic mechanisms and the highest-yield topics for the time remaining. Both are real work and they are not interchangeable. School transport sets the daily ceiling, since a child whose bus crosses the highway is home late afternoon and not ready for multi-step calculation for an hour, which is why one weekday evening plus a weekend morning tends to work better here than two weekday evenings.

  • Investigation proposal, laboratory and draft dates are set by the school
  • Diploma year one opens on atomic structure and quantitative chemistry
  • The late-July topic test is the first honest signal in this subject
  • January and February of year two is where everything competes
  • Multi-step calculation work belongs in a weekend morning, not a 7.30pm slot

Chemistry home tuition versus online lessons in Mumbai

Home tuition leads for diagnosis, and in Chemistry the reason is the pen. The information a tutor needs is in how the student sets out a calculation: whether the quantity is labelled, whether the units are carried, whether the mole ratio is written before the arithmetic, and in organic work whether the arrow starts at the electrons. A screen shows the finished attempt, not the order in which it was built. For Diploma year one students in particular, a correction made as the pen moves is worth several made the following day.

Online earns its place in three cases and we will tell you which is yours. Scarcity first: Higher Level chemistry specialists with recent cohorts are thin on the ground, and an IB online tutor in Mulund East who has taken several groups through the Higher Level material beats a local generalist working from an older version of the guide. Second, organic mechanism practice works surprisingly well on a shared screen, because mechanisms can be drawn, corrected and redrawn quickly. Third, investigation draft feedback is document work and loses nothing remotely.

Online is the wrong choice for a Middle Years Programme student, and for any Diploma student whose problem is that they do not write the setup down. For that student a webcam produces a comfortable hour of agreement and no evidence, and the next report is where you find out. Hybrid is where most households here settle: one home visit for teaching, calculation discipline and the timed set, one shorter online contact for mechanism drills or a draft comment. It also covers the week when the highway is blocked, which happens several times a term in this corridor.

One test applies to either mode and it is worth asking about on the first call. Did the session produce written chemistry, marked, with the scheme visible to the student, and did it open with a stated objective? A chemistry lesson that produced discussion and no written calculation has produced nothing measurable, and discussion is exactly what an articulate student will happily supply for a year. Across Mumbai that is the clearest separator between a tutor who shifts marks and one who fills ninety minutes, and it applies to home classes and video calls equally.

  • Diagnosis depends on how a calculation is set out, not on the final answer
  • Online wins for scarce Higher Level specialists
  • Shared screens suit organic mechanism drills well
  • A student who does not write the setup down will agree through an online hour
  • Every session should end with written, marked chemistry

Questions that separate a chemistry teacher from a chemistry graduate

Both can be excellent and they are not the same thing, so our checks look at both. Government photo identity, matched against the person who arrives at your door. Degree and teaching credentials seen as documents rather than taken from a profile. Level and cohort history: Higher or Standard, how many groups, how recently, which matters in this subject because the guide has been restructured and a tutor working from an older version will mis-prepare a student. And references from families whose engagement has ended.

Then four questions of your own, which take ten minutes. Which level have you taught most recently and how many students through a full examination cycle? What do you do in session one? How do you teach a student to draw a curly arrow? And what is your rule about the scientific investigation? The third question is the giveaway: a recent Diploma teacher answers with the origin of the arrow and the commonest student error, while a chemistry graduate who has not taught the course answers with a description of the reaction.

Two answers should end the call. A predicted grade offered before any of your child's written work has been seen is a sales pitch, and you should be wary of a tutor who offers a guaranteed grade rather than a diagnosis. And anyone offering to supply data, process results or write sections of the investigation is creating an academic integrity case your child will answer for at school, since the school is the body that investigates. An IB private tutor Mulund East families keep for two years draws both lines without being prompted.

Settle the logistics in the same conversation. Ask which road they travel and what happens on a day it is blocked, because a specific answer means they have run a weekly slot through a monsoon. Then register them once with your building office as a standing visitor on a fixed day rather than signing them in as a guest each week. Around Mulund East and Mulund West that removes a recurring delay at the gate, and in a ninety-minute chemistry lesson those minutes are exactly the timed calculation set.

  • Photo identity verified against the person who arrives
  • Level and cohort history recent enough for the current guide
  • Ask how they teach a curly arrow and listen for the common error
  • Ask their rule on the scientific investigation before anything else
  • Register the tutor once at the gate as a standing weekly visitor

The data booklet: marks Mumbai students leave on the table

Students sit Diploma Chemistry papers with a data booklet in front of them and routinely fail to use it. It holds the constants, the bond enthalpies, the standard electrode potentials, the relevant relationships and the spectroscopic data, and a student who does not know their way around it loses time first and then marks. The fix takes about two sessions: work through a dozen past questions with the booklet open, requiring the student to find each value themselves rather than being told it, until navigation becomes automatic. It is the highest return per hour available in the subject and almost nobody does it deliberately.

A worked example makes the point. A question gives you a reaction and asks you to determine an enthalpy change from bond enthalpies. The chemistry is a single idea: bonds broken minus bonds formed. The marks go to a student who finds the right values quickly, counts the bonds correctly including the ones inside a double bond, keeps the sign convention straight, and quotes the answer to a sensible precision with units. Each of those four is a separate skill and none of them is conceptual. A student who understands the chemistry and fumbles all four scores a fraction of the available marks.

The scientific investigation is the other place tutoring is most valuable and most often abused. A legitimate tutor helps find a question genuinely investigable with the apparatus a school laboratory actually has, teaches the assessment criteria as instructions, teaches uncertainty treatment properly, and challenges a draft as a teacher would. A tutor may not choose the topic, supply or invent data, process the results or write the text. Ask directly on the first call and watch how fast the line is drawn.

On cost, the variables are the usual ones and there is no honest price list. Level, since Higher Level Chemistry draws on a narrower pool. Subject scarcity. Travel time, where opening onto the Eastern Express Highway genuinely helps this locality. Session length and weekly frequency, which should rise around the investigation and before papers rather than being set high from June. And engagement length. Families weighing IB tuition fees in Mulund East should also weigh timing, because money spent in Diploma year one buys quantitative reliability and investigation input that the same money in year two cannot.

  • Two sessions of booklet navigation is the highest return per hour in the subject
  • Bond enthalpy questions test four separate non-conceptual skills
  • Sign conventions and precision cost marks independently of understanding
  • A tutor may shape an investigation question, never supply data or write text
  • Year one money buys reliability that year two money cannot

What should a month of chemistry home classes change?

Four things, none of them a grade. Every quantity in a calculation gets labelled as it is written, which is what stops a student losing track halfway through a multi-step question. Units and significant figures are handled as the work proceeds rather than tidied at the end. In organic work, arrows start at a lone pair or a bond without being reminded. And the student uses the data booklet unprompted instead of waiting to be given a value. If none of those four has shifted in four weeks, the match is wrong rather than the child, and an IB chemistry home tutor in Mulund East should say so before you have to ask.

At one term, expect visible movement in marked work. Multi-step quantitative questions attempted to the end rather than abandoned at the second step. Trends deduced for unfamiliar species instead of recalled for familiar ones, which is the structural strand actually working. Mechanisms drawn correctly even when the reaction is new. And a short list of two or three genuinely difficult areas handed to you, which is evidence of diagnosis rather than reassurance. A tutor reporting that everything is fine after a term has stopped marking.

Across a full examination cycle the honest statement is narrow. Tutoring improves quantitative reliability, structural reasoning, mechanism notation, data booklet fluency and exam stamina, and those usually show in results. They do not control results, which also depend on the student, the school, the subject load and the paper on the day. IB Gram does not guarantee grades, and no tutor on the platform may offer one. What we commit to is inspectable: marked written chemistry, an objective before each session, and a review every two to four weeks.

The warning signs here are specific. There are no written calculations to look at. Sessions get described as covering a topic. The student can explain a reaction and cannot determine a quantity from it. Feedback mentions interest rather than marks. Tell us and we shortlist a replacement from the same verified pool at no cost, pass the existing diagnosis across so nobody repeats the assessment, and run a fresh discovery call. There is no notice period, and changing in week three costs a fraction of what waiting until the mocks costs.

  • Week four: every quantity labelled as the calculation is written
  • Week four: curly arrows start at electrons without a reminder
  • Week four: the data booklet is opened unprompted
  • One term: unfamiliar trends deduced rather than familiar ones recalled
  • Explaining a reaction but not quantifying it is the clearest warning sign

Starting IB chemistry home tuition in Mulund East, Mumbai

Three things make a first message enough to act on. The level, Higher or Standard, and which Diploma year. One marked paper or topic test the student did badly on, since the marking is the diagnosis and the report comment is not. And the two windows your household can hold for eight weeks, with real start times. Add the investigation dates if the school has set them, because a student in a laboratory window needs a different plan from one three months clear of it.

Session one is a diagnostic rather than a lesson. The tutor gives the student a mixed set: a titration or limiting-reagent calculation, a Lewis structure and shape deduction for a species they have not met, one organic mechanism to draw, and a short extended response to test command-term handling. They watch rather than help, mark it in front of the student, and report which of the three strands is failing and whether the losses are arithmetic or reasoning. Then they teach one thing properly, usually the quantitative habit that cost the most. That is how every IB chemistry home tutor in Mulund East on the platform is asked to open.

You get three or four written lines afterwards: which strand, which kind of loss, what the first month targets, and what to complete before the next visit. What should not arrive on day one is a term plan, because a schedule written before any work has been marked was written for a generic Diploma student. The plan arrives in week two and is revised at the four-week review. Families who get the most out of IB home tuition in Mulund East treat the first month as diagnosis they are paying for, which is what it is.

Two preparations are worth more than further comparison of profiles. Paper, a pencil and a clear hard table, because mechanisms and calculations are written by hand in the examination and should be practised that way. And the data booklet your child will actually use in the paper, plus the school's calculator, since a student who cannot navigate their own booklet loses time in every paper. Then give the building office the tutor's name and fixed day so the first ten minutes go into chemistry rather than the visitor register.

  • Send the level, the Diploma year, one marked paper and two slots
  • Include the investigation dates if the school has set them
  • Session one: mixed diagnostic across quantitative, structural and organic work
  • Written feedback after session one; the plan arrives in week two
  • Have paper, a pencil, the data booklet and the school's calculator ready
FAQs

Mulund East tutoring — questions parents ask

Will a chemistry tutor travel to Mulund East for an evening slot?+

Yes, most dependably from Thane West and Mulund West. Mulund East opens onto the Eastern Express Highway, so a tutor near Thane station reaches you in around fifteen minutes outside the peak, while somebody coming up from Ghatkopar is on slow road for most of the journey. Punctuality matters here because a late start removes the timed calculation set rather than the explanation, and that set is what builds speed on multi-step quantitative questions. Tell us the exact start time, since 6.30pm and 7.30pm draw on different halves of a scarce pool.

What does my building gate need arranged for a weekly home tutor?+

Register them once as a standing visitor with a fixed day and time. Buildings around Mulund East and Mulund West usually run a visitor register or an app-based pass, and a tutor signed in as an unknown guest each week loses several minutes at the entrance, taken out of the lesson rather than their travel. In a ninety-minute chemistry session that is the timed calculation practice. Give the office the name and the slot in the first week; verified photo identity is already held on our side if the society asks for it.

My child understands chemistry but the marks are low. Why?+

Usually because one of three strands is failing while the other two are fine. The quantitative strand, where moles, concentration, limiting reagent and titration arithmetic block the chemistry before it starts. The structural strand, where trends have been memorised rather than understood, so an unfamiliar species cannot be reasoned about. Or the organic strand, where mechanisms are drawn with arrows from atoms rather than electrons and score nothing despite correct products. A diagnostic separates these in one session; re-explaining topics does not.

Does my child need Higher Level Chemistry for medicine?+

Most competitive medicine, dentistry and pharmacy courses require it, and some will not consider Standard Level at all, so check the specific universities rather than relying on a general rule. The capability that matters is carrying a multi-step calculation through without losing track of what each quantity represents, which is testable in half an hour and is a better predictor than the current grade. If that capability is not there yet, it can be built, but it should be built in Diploma year one rather than discovered in year two.

Can a tutor help with the scientific investigation?+

Yes, within a boundary you should test on the first call. A tutor can help find a question genuinely investigable with the apparatus a school laboratory actually has, teach the assessment criteria as instructions, teach uncertainty treatment properly, and challenge a draft as a teacher would. A tutor cannot choose the topic, supply or invent data, process the results or write the text, and any tutor offering that is creating an academic integrity case your child will answer for at school. Half an hour testing a proposal for depth, early, is the most valuable time in the whole piece.

What do IB Chemistry tuition rates in Mulund East depend on?+

Level first, since Higher Level Chemistry draws on a narrower pool of tutors with recent cohorts. Then subject scarcity generally. Then travel time, where this locality benefits from opening directly onto the highway. Then session length and weekly frequency, which should rise around the investigation and before papers rather than being set high from June. Then the length of the engagement. There is no price list worth publishing and we will not invent one; the tutor gives you a figure on the free discovery call before anything is booked.

Is online chemistry tutoring effective?+

Weaker for diagnosis, genuinely good for two jobs. Diagnosis needs the tutor to see how a calculation is set out, whether quantities are labelled and whether the mole ratio precedes the arithmetic, and a screen shows only the finished attempt. Organic mechanism practice works well on a shared screen because mechanisms can be drawn, corrected and redrawn quickly. Investigation draft feedback loses nothing remotely. Online fails a student whose problem is not writing the setup down, because a webcam cannot tell agreement from understanding.

How many sessions a week does Diploma Chemistry need?+

One ninety-minute session is usually right through Diploma year one, while quantitative reliability is being built. Frequency should rise twice: around the investigation laboratory and draft, where a short second contact catches problems before they are written in; and in the paper-practice run-in, where work needs setting, marking and correcting inside the same week. Booking two visits a week from June is normally the wrong use of the same money, because the need in this subject is concentrated at specific points rather than constant.

My child was strong in MYP science and is struggling in DP1 chemistry. Why?+

Because the assessment changed rather than the child. Middle Years Programme science rewards clear investigation design and communication against criteria. Diploma Chemistry assumes arithmetic and algebraic reliability as a starting point and then layers reasoning on top, so a student who got through on clarity meets a course that gives them no room for unreliable moles work. The repair looks like going backwards: three weeks of deliberate quantitative practice before any current-topic teaching. It is the fastest route forward and most families find it counterintuitive.

Are your tutors connected to any school in this area?+

No. IB Gram is an independent tutor-matching service with no affiliation, endorsement or arrangement involving NES International School, Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School or the International Baccalaureate Organization. We name local schools because their internal dates for topic tests and the scientific investigation set the calendar families here work around, and because a tutor needs a school's laboratory schedule before planning a term. We also do not guarantee grades, and no tutor may offer a predicted outcome before seeing written work.

What if the chemistry tutor is not working out?+

Tell us and we replace them at no cost, with no notice period. The signals here are specific: no written calculations to inspect, sessions described as covering a topic, a student who can explain a reaction but not determine a quantity from it, and feedback about interest rather than marks. We shortlist from the same verified pool, pass the existing diagnosis to the new tutor so your child is not reassessed from scratch, and you take a fresh discovery call. Moving in week three is cheap; waiting until after the mocks is not.
