Matching a Grade 10 student in the middle of an exam year

The match for a final-year student turns on one number nobody likes saying out loud: how many teaching weeks are left before the papers. Everything else follows from it. With most of the year ahead, a tutor can rebuild a weak topic properly. With a term left, the same tutor should be choosing which three topics are worth rebuilding and which should be managed with technique instead. A tutor who treats both situations identically will spend your remaining weeks being thorough about the wrong things.

So the intake for a grade 10 IGCSE home tutor in Mumbai starts with four facts and nothing else: the subjects, the series your child is entered for, the mock results if they exist, and the number of weeks until the first paper in that subject. Then the sequence runs. 1. You send the most recent full marked paper, not a report. 2. We shortlist two or three specialists in that subject who have taken candidates through an examination series. 3. Each one looks at the script before speaking to you, so the first conversation is about evidence rather than philosophy. 4. The first session produces a ranked list of what to fix, with an estimate in weeks against each item. 5. You and the tutor agree what is being abandoned, because in a final year a plan without abandonment is a fantasy.

Step five is the one families resist and the one that makes the difference. A Grade 10 student with four subjects in trouble and a limited number of evenings cannot repair all four. Ranking them by how many marks are recoverable per hour of work, rather than by how worrying they feel, usually reorders the list completely. The topic that frightens everyone is often expensive to fix and sparsely examined; the three small technique problems nobody mentioned are cheap and appear on every paper.

We also ask what the school is already doing. Many Mumbai schools run extra classes, doubt-clearing sessions and supervised past-paper hours for the final year, and a tutor who duplicates them wastes your money. The useful tutor works in the gap the school leaves, which is usually individual marking and the ruthless question-by-question feedback a teacher with thirty students cannot give.

  • Intake starts with weeks remaining, not with a subject wish list
  • Send the last full marked paper before any tutor call
  • Each shortlisted tutor reads the script before speaking to you
  • First session ends with a ranked fix list and weeks against each item
  • Agree what is being abandoned, and what the school already covers

Grade 10, tier entry and the series your child is actually sitting

Three administrative facts shape the final year, and two of them have deadlines that belong to your school rather than to the board. The first is which examination series your child is entered for. The second is the tier or route per subject, where the course offers one, because that decides the range of grades available on the paper she will open. The third is the coursework or practical component in each subject and when the school needs it finished, which is almost always earlier than parents expect.

Get all three in writing from the examinations officer or the IGCSE coordinator, with dates. Then ask the question most families miss: what is the school's own internal deadline for changing a tier, and what evidence does it want before agreeing. A tier change requested after that deadline is not a conversation, it is a refusal, and a tutor cannot create an option the entry has closed. If your child is on the lower route and the marks now argue for the higher one, that case has to be built from scripts and made early.

The content structure comes from the board. Cambridge International Education and Pearson Edexcel both specify the papers, the components and the assessment objectives for each syllabus code, and both revise their guides on their own cycles, which is why no page should be quoting you a weighting or a paper length. Read the front cover of a recent paper for your child's syllabus and read the current subject guide alongside it. Those two documents, plus the school's deadlines, are the whole administrative picture.

One forward-looking point belongs here because it drives decisions now. IGCSE grades feed the next stage: entry to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) or to A Levels, and within the DP, which subjects a school will allow at Higher Level (HL) rather than Standard Level (SL). If your child wants Chemistry at Higher Level, the school will look at the IGCSE grade and at the route she sat. Ask the next-stage coordinator what the thresholds are while there is still time to act on the answer, and ask whether a school accepts a re-sit grade for that purpose, since practice differs.

  • Confirm the series, the tier per subject and the coursework deadlines in writing
  • Ask the school's internal deadline for changing a tier, and its evidence bar
  • Read the front cover of a recent paper plus the current subject guide
  • A closed entry is a closed option, whatever the marks later say
  • Ask the next-stage coordinator what IGCSE grades Higher Level entry needs

Which Grade 10 subjects need a specialist and which need a system?

Separate the two before you hire anyone. A subject where your child does not understand the content needs a specialist: someone who can reteach electrolysis, or quadratic inequalities, or the causes of a war she has only memorised. A subject where she understands the content and still loses marks needs a system: timing, question selection, answer structure, showing method, reading the command word. Most final-year families need one of each, and they hire two specialists and wonder why the marks in the second subject do not move.

A request that arrives as all IB and IGCSE subjects IGCSE Year 10 / Grade 10 tutor Mumbai cover, which is what our intake form produces when a parent ticks every box, has to be turned into a priority order before it is useful. We do that by subject pattern. Mathematics and the sciences respond fastest in a final year because the recoverable marks are concentrated in method and in a handful of question types that recur. Languages respond more slowly on writing and faster on the speaking and listening components, because technique and vocabulary lists are trainable in weeks. Literature and the humanities sit in between: content is hard to add late, but essay planning and source handling are not, and they carry significant marks.

This is also the year to stop studying evenly. A Grade 10 student in Borivali who spends every evening on the subject she enjoys and twenty minutes on the one she fears is making a rational emotional decision and a terrible strategic one. The fix is not discipline, it is a plan that assigns the week in advance and is visible on the wall, so the choice is made once rather than renegotiated every evening. Across all IB and IGCSE subjects a tutor in Mumbai covers in this year, that scheduling work is a real part of the job.

Coursework and internally assessed components deserve their own slot in the plan, because they are finishable. Written work, a practical skills assessment, a speaking examination or a portfolio is a known quantity with a deadline, unlike a paper in April, and marks secured there are marks nobody can take back. Confirm format and submission requirements with the school for your exact syllabus rather than assuming last year's pattern holds, and get the deadline into the household calendar the day you hear it.

  • Content gaps need a specialist; mark leakage needs a system
  • Mathematics and sciences recover fastest from method work
  • Speaking and listening components are trainable in weeks
  • Stop even study: assign the week in advance, in writing
  • Finish internally assessed work early; those marks are bankable

Grade 10 home tuition across Mumbai when the calendar is short

In a final year, travel time is the first thing that gets cut from the plan, and the cut is usually made by cancelling the tutor. So we match tight. IGCSE home tuition in Mumbai is organised zone by zone and, in this year, street by street where we can. In South Mumbai, families near Peddar Road, Babulnath and Cuffe Parade are matched inside the island because the evening signal crawl there eats whatever Metro Line 3 and the Coastal Road have given back. In the Western Suburbs, Malad West, Kandivali East, Borivali and Dahisar are served along the Western Line and above the Western Express Highway by Metro Lines 2A and 7, which have made a northern tutor viable in a way she was not a few years ago.

In the Central Suburbs, Ghatkopar and Powai anchor the matching, with Metro Line 1 running to Andheri and JVLR connecting Powai to Kanjurmarg by road. In the Eastern Suburbs, Mulund West, Bhandup and Govandi sit on the Central and Harbour lines with the Eastern Express Highway and the Eastern Freeway alongside, and a Chembur family can reach the island city faster than a Bandra family can in the evening peak. Navi Mumbai is matched node to node across Vashi, Nerul, Belapur and Panvel, on the Harbour and Trans-Harbour lines, Palm Beach Road and the Sion-Panvel Highway, with the Atal Setu a help for a weekend session and not a plan for a Tuesday. In Thane, the stretch from the station out along Pokhran Road and Ghodbunder Road decides how far a tutor will come and how often she will arrive late.

The final year adds a journey nobody plans for: the examination mornings themselves. If your child sits papers at a centre away from the school, work the route out in advance, on the right day of the week, at the right hour, with a fallback. A family in Mulund West driving to a centre in the Western Suburbs during the morning peak on the Santacruz-Chembur Link Road is making a different journey from the one the map promises, and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link only helps if the approach roads are moving. Ask the school where the centre is the moment entries are confirmed.

Scarcity gets more acute in the final year because specialists fill up. The searches that bring families here, IGCSE tutors near me Mumbai and IGCSE private tutor Mumbai, peak just when the strongest subject tutors have no evenings left. If your zone is thin for separate Physics, Economics, Additional Mathematics or a second language, we will tell you on the first call and offer the honest alternative rather than a nearby generalist with a free slot.

  • South Mumbai matched within the island: Peddar Road, Babulnath, Cuffe Parade
  • Western Suburbs along the line: Malad West, Kandivali East, Borivali, Dahisar
  • Eastern Suburbs reach the island fast on the Eastern Freeway
  • Navi Mumbai node to node: Vashi, Nerul, Belapur, Panvel
  • Plan the examination morning route the week entries are confirmed

How do Mumbai mocks and school deadlines shape Grade 10 revision?

The mock cycle is the hinge of the final year, and most Mumbai schools run theirs in the cooler months after the festival break, well before the board papers. Treat the mock as data rather than as a verdict. A mock sat on a half-revised syllabus is supposed to produce an uncomfortable result; what matters is the script, question by question, and what it reveals about where the marks went. Ask the school for the marked papers back, not just the grades, and if the school keeps the scripts, ask to see them in a meeting.

Families at B.D. Somani International School in Cuffe Parade, Activity High School on Peddar Road, Bombay Cambridge International School in Andheri East, NES International School in Mulund West and D.Y. Patil International School in Nerul are all working inside their own internal calendars, and the sequence is recognisable: coursework and practical deadlines first, then the mock cycle, then a revision programme, then study leave. Each of those four has a different tutoring implication, and a tutor who does not know which one you are in is guessing. The dates are the school's to give, and the examinations officer is the person who has them.

No school named on this page has any connection with IB Gram. We are an independent platform, not affiliated with any of them, and we name them because their calendars and pathways set the pressure a tutor has to plan around. If a tutor suggests she knows what will be on your school's mock, that is a reason to end the conversation rather than a selling point.

Study leave is where good plans die. A Grade 10 student handed three unstructured weeks at home will revise what feels productive, which is re-reading notes, and will arrive at the first paper having done little under timed conditions. Before study leave starts, build a written daily plan with the tutor that names the paper, the question type and the time slot for each session, including the days off. A home tutor who works a single weekly hour during study leave is worth far more if the other six days are planned around what she sets.

  • Treat the mock as a script to read, not a grade to react to
  • Ask for marked mock papers back, question by question
  • Know which phase you are in: coursework, mocks, revision or study leave
  • Plan study leave day by day before it begins
  • Re-reading notes is the default failure mode of unstructured weeks

Home tutor, online or both in the final IGCSE year in Mumbai?

In the examined year the answer usually is both, for a specific reason: the two modes do different jobs. A home tutor is the right place for timed written work, because somebody has to watch your child write a full question under pressure and then mark it in front of her. That is the single highest-value hour available in a final year, and it is hard to run remotely with a student who will put the phone face down and open the solutions. So grade 10 IGCSE home classes in Mumbai carry the core work: timed practice, marking, and the conversation about where the marks went.

An IGCSE online tutor in Mumbai then takes the jobs that do not need a room. Short targeted sessions on a single question type, a review of a paper your child has already attempted, a scheduled check-in during study leave, a late-evening slot that would be impossible with travel. Online also solves the specialist problem outright: in the final year the strongest tutors in scarce subjects are usually booked, and a good online specialist beats waiting until February for a local one.

The trade-offs are worth stating plainly. In-person costs travel time, which in Mumbai means a tutor who can give you three evenings a week will often give only one, and which pushes the rate up for distant addresses. Online costs supervision quality and, at this age, honesty about what has actually been attempted. Hybrid costs coordination: two people working on the same subject need to be talking to each other, so if you use a local tutor and an online specialist for one subject, insist on a shared plan rather than two separate ones.

One mode decision is specific to this year. For the last four or five weeks, reduce explanation and increase supervised examination practice, whatever the mode. Many families do the opposite and book extra teaching when they should be booking extra marking. If your tutor cannot mark against the published assessment criteria for the syllabus and show your child where a mark was lost, the final weeks will be comfortable and unproductive.

  • In-person for timed writing and immediate marking in front of the student
  • Online for single question types, paper reviews and study-leave check-ins
  • Online solves scarcity when the local specialist has no evenings left
  • Two tutors on one subject need one shared plan, not two
  • In the last weeks, buy marking rather than more explanation

What to check before a stranger sits with your Grade 10 child in Mumbai

We verify identity against a government photo identity document, the qualification claimed, and the teaching record: which syllabus codes, which years, which schools or students, and whether the tutor has taken candidates through a full examination series rather than taught the content in a classroom. For a final-year match that last distinction is the important one. Teaching a syllabus and preparing a candidate for the papers are related skills, and the second is what you are buying in Grade 10.

Run your own three checks on the call. Ask her to describe the structure of the papers for your child's syllabus and listen for whether she sends you to the current subject guide instead of reciting numbers from memory, which is the correct answer. Ask what she does with a marked past paper: a specialist will describe going through it question by question and classifying each lost mark as knowledge, method, interpretation or time. And ask how much of a session a Grade 10 student spends writing. Parents who ask for the best IGCSE tutor in Mumbai often end up with the most articulate one, and in the final year articulacy is not the skill being hired.

Two claims should end your interest immediately. One is any promise about a specific grade: be wary of a tutor who offers a guaranteed grade, because the papers are marked by the board and nobody else gets a vote. We cannot guarantee grades and will not pretend otherwise. The other is any suggestion of access to live papers, leaked questions or a school's internal mock. Report either to us and the tutor comes out of matching.

There is a practical safety layer that matters more in a year of long evening sessions. Sessions happen in a shared part of the home with the door open and an adult in the flat, not behind a closed bedroom door. Tutors are asked to keep communication with the student in a channel a parent can see, and to message the parent after each session with what was covered and what was set. If a tutor asks to move to private messaging with your child, say no and tell us.

  • Verified identity, qualification and examination-series experience, not only teaching years
  • A good tutor sends you to the current subject guide for structure
  • Ask how she classifies every lost mark on a past paper
  • Grade promises and claims of paper access end the match
  • Sessions in a shared room, adult in the flat, parent-visible messages

Past papers, mark schemes and the knows-it-but-loses-marks problem

This is the complaint that brings most families to a grade 10 IGCSE tutor in Mumbai: she knows the material and the marks do not show it. In a final year that complaint is diagnosable, and the diagnosis takes one marked paper and about forty minutes. Go through the script and label every lost mark as one of four things. Knowledge: she did not know it. Method: she knew it and did not show the steps that carry the marks. Interpretation: she answered a question other than the one asked, usually by missing the command word or a condition in the stem. Time: she never reached it. The four causes need four different responses, and treating all of them as revision is why the extra hours achieve nothing.

A worked example from Mathematics. A student loses six marks across a paper: two on a question she left blank at the end, two for a correct final answer with no working shown on a multi-step problem, one for using a rounded value halfway through a calculation, one for genuinely not knowing a circle theorem. Only the last of those is a knowledge gap. The blank question is a pacing problem solvable by practising question selection and by teaching her to leave the expensive question until last. The missing working is a habit fixable in a fortnight. The premature rounding is a single rule. Three of the four problems disappear with technique, and no amount of re-reading the chapter on circle theorems touches them.

Timed conditions are the other half. Working out the pace a paper demands from the paper itself, the marks available against the time printed on its front cover, converts a vague instruction to work faster into a checkable habit: a rough target for each question, a decision rule for when to move on, and a plan for the final minutes. Practise that with a clock on the table at home, because a student who has only ever worked untimed will discover pacing for the first time in the examination hall. Mark the paper together afterwards against the published criteria, and have her write the better version of the two answers she lost most on.

Parents reasonably ask what this intensity costs. IGCSE tuition fees in Mumbai depend on the board, the subject and its scarcity, travel to your address, session length and, in the final year particularly, whether marking between sessions is included, since that is where much of the tutor's unseen hours go. Final-year rates generally sit above earlier years for the same subject. Ask every shortlisted tutor the same four questions, in writing, and compare the answers side by side rather than comparing hourly numbers alone.

  • Label every lost mark as knowledge, method, interpretation or time
  • Most final-year losses are technique, not missing knowledge
  • Derive pacing from the paper's own marks and printed time allowance
  • Rewrite the two worst answers after marking, same session
  • Ask whether marking between sessions is inside the quoted rate

What a grade 10 IGCSE tutor in Mumbai can and cannot change in four months

Technique moves in weeks, content takes months, and attitude is not a tutoring deliverable. Across Mumbai, Maharashtra, the pattern we see in final-year home tuition matches is consistent. Within two or three weeks, method marks and presentation improve, because they are rules rather than understanding. Within about six weeks, performance on recurring question types improves, if the practice has been timed and marked. A full topic rebuilt from nothing takes a term, and three of them take longer than you have if you start in January.

That is the honest frame for expectations, and it should change what you ask for. In the first month, ask for the lost-mark analysis rather than a progress report: how many of the marks dropped on the last paper were method, and has that number fallen. Before the mocks, ask for a prediction of where the remaining losses sit and a plan for them. After the mocks, ask the hardest question available: given the weeks left, what are we no longer attempting. A tutor willing to answer that is worth keeping.

The limits deserve stating without hedging. A tutor cannot change the tier your child was entered for, cannot recover a coursework deadline that has passed, and cannot replace two years of teaching in a term. IB Gram does not guarantee grades, and a tutor who offers a number is selling confidence, not teaching. Where a subject genuinely needs more weeks than remain, the useful plan is partial: secure the question types that recur, bank the internally assessed marks, and protect the subjects where the return is higher. All IB and IGCSE subjects home classes Mumbai parents book in a final year work better when that triage is explicit from the start.

When a match is not working in the examined year, act within two weeks rather than hoping. The signals are specific: no marked work coming back, sessions that have become conversation, a tutor who has not mentioned the mark scheme, or a student who has stopped bringing the subject she is weakest in to the session. Tell us and we reshortlist, at no charge, and we will say if we think the problem is the plan rather than the person. Changing tutors twice in a final year does more damage than keeping an adequate one, so we would rather fix the plan first.

  • Method and presentation marks improve within two or three weeks
  • Recurring question types improve in about six weeks of timed practice
  • A topic rebuilt from nothing takes a term, not a fortnight
  • Ask after the mocks what you are no longer attempting
  • Act on a poor fit within two weeks, but fix the plan first

Starting Grade 10 home classes in Mumbai this term

Send four things and the first session can be useful instead of exploratory. The most recent full marked paper in the subject, mock or school test, with the examiner's or teacher's marks visible. The syllabus code if you have it, or the subject name and board. The school's dates for coursework, mocks and study leave. And the evenings you can protect from now until the papers, including weekends, which in a final year most families end up using.

Prepare the room for examination practice rather than for a lesson. A clear table big enough for a full paper, a clock your child can see, no phone in the room, and a printer if you have one, because working from a screen is not the same skill as working on paper. Settle the access arrangements too, so no session is lost to them: whether the gate needs the tutor registered in advance, whether your building issues a standing pass for a weekly visitor, and who opens the door on an evening when nobody is home early. A home tutor for all IB and IGCSE subjects Mumbai schools examine will not be one person, so if you are hiring for two subjects, make both slots permanent in the same week.

The first session should produce three things on paper: the lost-mark analysis from the script you sent, a ranked list of what is being fixed with weeks against each item, and a list of what is being left. Ask for it in writing. In a final year, a plan that lives only in the tutor's head cannot be checked, and you need to be able to check it in six weeks against the next paper your child sits.

After that, keep the rhythm tight and short. Same slot, written work set and marked between sessions, a brief message after each hour naming the question types covered, and a review immediately after each mock. Tell us when the school confirms entries, the examination centre and study-leave dates, because each of those changes the plan. The last few weeks should look boring from the outside: timed papers, marking, rewriting the weakest answers, sleeping properly, and a short, specific list of things still to learn.

  • Send the last marked paper, the syllabus code and the school's dates
  • Set up for examination practice: full table, visible clock, paper not screen
  • Arrange gate registration and a standing weekly pass in advance
  • Ask for the lost-mark analysis and the ranked fix list in writing
  • Review the plan immediately after every mock, then tighten it
FAQs

Mumbai tutoring — questions parents ask

Is it too late to start tutoring in Grade 10?+

No, but what is achievable changes with the weeks remaining, and an honest tutor will say so at the first session. Technique gains, method marks, pacing, command words and answer structure arrive within weeks and apply across every paper. Rebuilding a topic from nothing takes much longer. So a late start should be a triage plan: secure the recurring question types, finish any internally assessed work, and concentrate on the subjects where the recoverable marks per hour are highest. Starting late with an everything plan is the version that fails.

Can we still change the tier or route my child is entered for?+

Only inside your school's own deadline, which is usually earlier than parents expect and is not the board's deadline. Ask the examinations officer for the internal cut-off date and what evidence the school requires before approving a change. If the marks now argue for the higher route, build the case from marked scripts rather than from a request, and make it immediately. After the entry closes, no tutor can create the option, and the honest plan becomes getting the best possible outcome on the paper your child will actually open.

Can a tutor travel to Peddar Road or Malad West for a late evening slot?+

Yes, when the tutor is matched within the same zone. For South Mumbai we shortlist inside the island, since the evening signal crawl around Peddar Road and Haji Ali defeats anyone coming down the Western Express Highway. For Malad West we match along the Western Line and from the Metro Line 2A and 7 corridor. Late slots are more available than early evening ones in a final year, and in exchange for a 8pm start you often get a stronger specialist. Tell us the latest start your household can actually sustain.

My son knows the subject but keeps losing marks. What is going on?+

Take his last marked paper and label every lost mark as knowledge, method, interpretation or time. In most final-year scripts, knowledge is the smallest category. Marks go on working not shown for multi-step answers, on answering a question other than the one asked because a command word or a condition in the stem was missed, on rounding too early, and on questions never reached. Each has a different fix, and three of the four are technique rather than revision. Any tutor you hire should do this analysis in the first session and show you the result.

How should we use the mock results?+

As a script to read, not a grade to react to. Mocks are usually sat on a partly revised syllabus, so the grade is not a prediction. Ask the school for the marked papers back and go through them question by question with the tutor, classifying every lost mark. Then rebuild the plan around what the script shows and ask the tutor directly what will no longer be attempted given the weeks left. Families who react to the grade panic and change everything; families who read the script change three specific things and improve.

How many hours a week does a final-year student need?+

Fewer tutoring hours and more supervised practice hours than most families assume. One home tuition session a week per weak subject, with written work marked between sessions, is a workable base, rising near the papers. What has to increase is independent timed practice, which is free. A student doing six tutoring hours a week and no timed papers alone is buying explanation she does not need. Protect sleep as seriously as study: a final-year student revising past midnight loses more in the examination hall than the extra hour gained.

What do IGCSE tuition fees in Mumbai depend on in the final year?+

Board, subject, how scarce that subject is in your zone, travel to your address, session length and whether marking between sessions is included. Final-year rates usually sit above earlier years for the same subject, because preparation and marking take unseen hours. Scarce subjects in zones with few specialists cost more, and that premium is real rather than invented. We do not publish a price list. Ask each shortlisted tutor the same four questions in writing, including the cancellation notice period, and compare the full picture rather than the hourly figure alone.

Should my daughter be doing full past papers now?+

Yes, this is the year for them, with two conditions. They should be timed, using the time allowance printed on the paper, and they should be marked against the published criteria with every lost mark discussed. An unmarked past paper is practice in writing quickly, which is not the skill being examined. Start with recent papers for her exact syllabus code, available through the school or the board, and have her rewrite the two answers that lost the most marks straight after marking, while she still remembers her reasoning.

Can a tutor work around our society rules and the exam-day commute?+

Yes, if both are settled in advance. Tell us whether your building registers visitors at the gate, issues a pass per visit or allows a standing weekly entry, and whether guest lift access is restricted in the evening, since a tutor stuck at the gate twice will quietly stop coming. For examination mornings, work out the route to the centre on the correct day and hour, with a fallback, as soon as the school confirms where it is. A trial run on a comparable weekday morning is worth the trouble.

What if a subject needs more time than we have left?+

Say so and plan partially rather than pretending. Secure the question types that recur on every paper, finish and bank any internally assessed component, learn the highest-yield definitions and standard methods, and practise the opening questions where marks are cheapest. Then shift remaining hours to subjects with a better return. This is an uncomfortable conversation and the right one. We cannot guarantee grades and we would rather tell you which subject is being managed than let you believe all four are being rescued.

Does a tutor help with the move to the Diploma Programme or A Levels?+

Within limits, and the real work is a conversation with the school. Ask the next-stage coordinator which IGCSE grades and routes are needed for the Higher Level or A Level subjects your child wants, and ask whether a re-sit grade counts for that purpose, since schools differ. A final-year tutor can tell you honestly whether the target subject is realistic based on how your child handles its hardest current topics, which is more useful than an aptitude test. Keep that conversation separate from the examination plan.

The tutor is experienced but nothing is changing. When do we switch?+

Review at two weeks in a final year, not at two months. Look for three things: marked work coming back, the mark scheme being referred to by name, and your child bringing her weakest subject to the session rather than her strongest. If any are missing, raise it with the tutor first, because the problem is often the plan rather than the person. If nothing changes in the following fortnight, tell us and we reshortlist at no charge. Two tutor changes in a final year cause their own damage, so we fix the plan first.
