How IB Gram matches a home tutor to a family in Ghatkopar West

A request for an IB and IGCSE home tutor in Ghatkopar West is not interchangeable with one from Bandra or Mulund, so the intake questions are deliberately narrow. We ask which school the child attends, which year, which board, and which assessment is closest: an International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) criterion-marked task, a Diploma Programme (DP) Internal Assessment (IA) draft, or an IGCSE past-paper deadline that the school has set for the coming fortnight. We also ask the practical things a tutor needs to hear before agreeing to a standing slot: whether your building sits on LBS Marg or in the lanes behind it, what the gate protocol is for a repeat visitor, who is at home at six in the evening, and whether a younger sibling shares the study table.

Then we open the search wider than a Central Suburbs address usually allows. Ghatkopar is the eastern terminus of Metro Line 1, which means a tutor living in Andheri West can reach Ghatkopar West in about thirty-five minutes without a car and without touching a highway. That single fact changes the shortlist rather than decorating it. For a common requirement we match inside the Central Suburbs, because a tutor who lives twenty minutes away keeps a slot for a full year. For a scarce one, Higher Level (HL) Economics, DP Psychology, DP Global Politics or IGCSE Business Studies, we look along the metro corridor and bring in tutors who would politely decline the same weekday evening in Mulund, Chembur or Thane.

IB Gram is an independent platform and is not affiliated with any school named on this page, so nobody on the roster is put in front of you because of a school tie-up. We also do not guarantee grades, and any platform that does is guessing on your behalf. What we commit to is a named tutor, a syllabus they have genuinely taught rather than read about, and a weekly slot you agreed to before the first visit. If the first session is wrong, you tell us that week and we re-match, instead of asking you to give it a term and see.

  • 1. You send school, year, board, subject list and the next deadline.
  • 2. We filter the roster by syllabus and component taught, not subject name.
  • 3. We check the commute: Metro Line 1, Central Line, or LBS Marg by road.
  • 4. You receive two or three profiles with teaching history and honest availability.
  • 5. One trial session at your home, then you confirm or we re-match.

Which programme is your child actually in: PYP, MYP, DP or IGCSE?

In Mumbai, Maharashtra the four pathways families here use are the Primary Years Programme (PYP) up to Year 5, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) across Years 6 to 10, the Diploma Programme (DP) in Years 11 and 12, and Cambridge IGCSE in Years 9 to 11, which then feeds either AS and A Level or the DP. Which one your child sits in decides the tutor you need far more than the subject label does.

PYP and MYP are marked against criteria, not against a mark scheme, and there are no past papers to drill. An MYP Year 8 Individuals and Societies task is assessed on four criteria with descriptors the school publishes in advance, so the useful work is teaching a child to read the descriptor and write to it. Parents who were themselves schooled on board exams find this disorienting, and a tutor who treats MYP as early exam coaching wastes a year. Some Mumbai schools enter students for MYP eAssessment at the end of Year 10 and some do not, and that choice changes how Year 10 should be spent.

IGCSE runs on examined papers, which makes it the most legible of the four to a parent. Cambridge International Education and Pearson Edexcel both operate here, their syllabus codes differ, and most subjects split into Core and Extended tiers with different grade ceilings. Choosing Core because the child is struggling in Year 9 can quietly close an A Level door in Year 11, so the decision deserves a conversation rather than a shrug. An IB and IGCSE home tuition arrangement that spans both boards in one family is common in Ghatkopar West, where an older child may be in DP1 while a younger one is in IGCSE Year 9.

The DP is six subjects, three at HL and three at Standard Level (SL), plus Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE) and Creativity, Activity, Service. The core is where capable students lose points, because the EE and TOK essay are unsupervised for long stretches and nobody chases them weekly. Families who want one roster covering all IB and IGCSE subjects across IB and IGCSE Years 1-12 usually arrive at IB Gram at this point, having tried to assemble four separate arrangements themselves.

  • PYP and MYP: criterion descriptors matter more than past-paper practice
  • MYP eAssessment in Year 10 is a school-by-school decision, not universal
  • IGCSE Core versus Extended sets the grade ceiling and the A Level pathway
  • Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel syllabuses differ; match the tutor to the code
  • DP core work, EE and TOK, slips because nobody monitors it weekly

Choosing subjects: HL and SL, Core and Extended, and the internal work each one carries

Every subject in both boards carries internal work, and the internal work is where families lose marks they could have kept. In the DP that means an IA in almost every subject, graded against published criteria and submitted months before the written papers. At IGCSE it means coursework in some subjects and an alternative-to-coursework paper in others, plus speaking and practical components that are assessed inside the school and often forgotten in the planning. A parent asking for all IB and IGCSE subjects tutoring in Ghatkopar West is usually asking, without knowing the vocabulary, for someone who can see this whole map at once.

Take Cambridge IGCSE First Language English 0500. Paper 2 opens with a directed-writing task that is marked on reading as well as on writing: the candidate has to use and develop ideas drawn from the passage, not summarise it and not ignore it. A Year 10 student at Witty International School who writes fluent, well-shaped prose can still lose most of the reading marks because she never engages with the source material. A home tutor who has marked 0500 scripts fixes that in two sessions by forcing her to annotate the passage before she writes a sentence. A tutor who simply knows English spends a month on vocabulary lists and the paper does not move.

Or take the DP Geography IA, a fieldwork report whose question the student must be able to answer with data collected in a day, inside a tight word limit that punishes a broad question. A DP1 student who proposes to investigate urban change in Mumbai does not have an IA; the same student measuring pedestrian density along the Ghatkopar station skywalk against distance from the exit does. That reframing is one conversation with a tutor who has supervised the IA before, and it is the difference between a report that scores and a rewrite in DP2 while three other deadlines are live.

HL and SL is a similar decision made too casually. HL adds topics, but more importantly it adds depth of question, longer papers and an extra option or paper. A student taking three HL subjects that all carry a heavy IA will meet all three drafts in the same term. We say this openly when a family asks us to stack HL sciences: there is no single best IB and IGCSE tutor in Ghatkopar West, only the right one for a specific subject at a specific level, and sometimes the right answer is to change the subject combination rather than add a third weekly session.

  • Nearly every DP subject carries an IA with its own criteria and deadline
  • IGCSE adds coursework, speaking and practical components assessed inside school
  • A workable IA question is narrow enough to answer with one day of data
  • Three HL subjects with heavy IAs collide in the same DP1 term
  • Match the tutor to the component, not to the subject's name

Ghatkopar West, Ghatkopar East, Kurla and Vikhroli: who a tutor can reach on a weekday

Ghatkopar West sits west of the tracks along the Ghatkopar West–LBS Marg corridor, with Ghatkopar (Central & Metro Line 1) as its station and two different transport networks meeting at the same footbridge. That is unusual in the Central Suburbs. Ghatkopar East is a two-minute crossing on foot and shares the same tutor pool entirely. Kurla is one stop down the Central Line and reachable by road through the Santacruz–Chembur Link Road (SCLR) junction. Vikhroli is one stop north and matters because tutors living there treat Ghatkopar as a local trip rather than a journey. Those three neighbours are effectively one labour market with Ghatkopar West, and a tutor who takes a slot in any of them will take one here.

The metro changes the fourth direction. Because Ghatkopar is the eastern terminus of Metro Line 1, the line from Versova through Andheri lands its passengers at your station rather than near it. A tutor in Andheri West who would need an hour and a cab to reach Vikhroli by road reaches Ghatkopar West in about thirty-five minutes, standing on a train, with no car and no highway. Practically, that means your shortlist for an IB and IGCSE private tutor in Ghatkopar West includes the Western Suburbs tutor pool, where most of Mumbai's long-serving IB teachers live because most of the older IB schools are there. No other locality in the Central Suburbs can say that, which is why scarce HL subjects are easier to fill here than in Mulund or Bhandup.

Be honest about the limit, though, because the limit is the return leg. A session that starts at seven and finishes at eight leaves the tutor travelling back towards Andheri at the end of a long day, and the metro closes earlier than a parent assumes. A standing eight-o'clock finish holds better than a nine-o'clock one, and a Saturday morning slot holds better than either. When a family in a society beside the station, Kalpataru Aura for instance, asks for a late weekday slot, we say plainly that the first tutor who agrees may not be the one who is still coming in March. A nearer tutor on a slightly less perfect subject fit sometimes outperforms a perfect match who is quietly dreading the journey home.

One clarification families here raise: Powai looks close on a map and is reached from Ghatkopar by road along JVLR, so some tutors cover both. The Eastern Express Highway also puts Chembur and Bhandup within range off-peak. But road-based coverage behaves completely differently from metro-based coverage in the evening peak, and we plan slots on the rail timing rather than the map distance.

  • Ghatkopar East shares the station and the full tutor pool with Ghatkopar West
  • Kurla and Vikhroli are one Central Line stop away in either direction
  • Metro Line 1 terminates here, opening the Western Suburbs tutor pool
  • Andheri West to Ghatkopar West: roughly thirty-five minutes, no car needed
  • The return journey after an 8pm finish sets the real slot limit
  • LBS Marg addresses are faster by road than lane addresses behind it

The school calendar Ghatkopar West families plan around

Families in Ghatkopar West send children in several directions, and the two names that come up most often are Witty International School and Hiranandani Foundation School in Powai, the second reached by road along JVLR rather than by train. Both are named here only as local context: IB Gram is an independent platform with no affiliation to either, and we do not place tutors on the basis of a school relationship. What matters for tutoring is that different schools set internal deadlines on different rhythms, so two children on the same street can be under completely different pressure in the same week.

The Mumbai school year makes the pressure points predictable. June and July are the settling months, when a new DP1 or IGCSE Year 9 cohort is still choosing subjects and nobody feels behind. August and September bring the first real assessed work and the first honest report, and this is when most families start looking for a tutor. October and November are the heaviest stretch of the year: mid-year examinations, DP1 IA proposals, EE first drafts, and the Diwali break sitting in the middle of it, which parents treat as a holiday and schools treat as working time.

January and February are the sharpest months for DP2. Internal deadlines for most IAs land here, predicted grades are being finalised for university applications, and the TOK essay goes to the school for its final submission. March and April belong to the May examination session, by which point tutoring has shifted entirely to past papers and timing. For IGCSE Year 11 the same months carry the practical and speaking components, which are assessed inside school and cannot be revised for at the last minute. A tutor who starts in February is useful; a tutor who starts in September is the one who changes the outcome.

This is also why we ask for the school by name at intake. A home tutor for all IB and IGCSE subjects Mumbai families actually need is one who can read a school's assessment calendar and work backwards from it, scheduling the harder sessions before a deadline rather than after a disappointing mark. Searches like IB and IGCSE tutors near me Ghatkopar West tend to be typed in the week a report comes home, which is late but still workable.

  • June and July: subject choices settle and nothing feels urgent yet
  • August and September: first assessed work, first honest report, most enquiries
  • October and November: mid-years, IA proposals and EE drafts overlap with Diwali
  • January and February: DP2 IA deadlines, predicted grades and the TOK essay
  • March and April: May session papers, plus IGCSE practical and speaking components

Home tuition, online or a mix: what works in Ghatkopar West?

Home tuition is the default here and for good reasons. A tutor sitting at your dining table sees the things a screen hides: the phone face-up beside the notebook, the handwriting that collapses in the last ten minutes, the diagram the student will not attempt because he cannot draw. For PYP and MYP children, and for anyone whose problem is attention rather than content, an IB and IGCSE home tutor in Ghatkopar West will outperform the same tutor online every time. Attendance is also simply better: a tutor who has travelled to your building does not get cancelled casually, and the student cannot drift off mid-session.

The trade-off is supply and rigidity. Home tuition prices in travel, so a scarce HL subject costs more to bring to your door than a common one, and the slot is harder to move. Ghatkopar West is better placed than most of the Central Suburbs on this because the metro widens the pool, but it does not abolish the problem: a tutor coming from Andheri West needs the same weekday evening every week to make the trip work, and a family that reschedules twice in a month will lose that slot to someone who does not.

An IB and IGCSE online tutor in Ghatkopar West is the right answer in three situations. The first is a genuinely rare subject at HL, where the honest choice is an excellent tutor on a screen or a mediocre one in the room. The second is DP2 between January and April, when short, frequent sessions on a single IA paragraph or a past-paper question beat a weekly ninety-minute visit. The third is the monsoon, when a washed-out evening on LBS Marg cancels a home session that could have happened on a laptop. Online needs a working camera angle on the page, not just on the face, and a tutor who insists on seeing the written work as it is produced.

Most families settle on hybrid, and we usually suggest it from the start: one home session a week as the anchor and a shorter online session for drafts, marking feedback or a pre-test clinic. That pattern survives both the monsoon and the exam term, and it keeps the same tutor across both formats, which matters more than the format itself. Switching tutors to switch mode undoes the relationship you were paying for. All IB and IGCSE subjects home classes in Ghatkopar West can be arranged this way across siblings on different boards without multiplying the number of people entering your flat.

  • Home tuition: better attention, better attendance, honest view of written work
  • Home tuition costs more for scarce subjects because travel is priced in
  • Online suits rare HL subjects, DP2 draft work and monsoon weeks
  • Insist the online camera shows the page, not only the student's face
  • Hybrid keeps one tutor across both formats, which is what actually helps

How are tutors checked before they ring your doorbell in Mumbai?

Before a tutor is listed, IB Gram verifies government photo identity, the degree claimed, and the teaching history claimed, including which board and which syllabus codes they have taught and for how long. Subject claims are checked at component level, because teaching IGCSE Physics 0625 and teaching DP Physics HL are different jobs and plenty of people have done one and listed both. This matters more for a home tutor in Mumbai than for an online one: you are giving a stranger a weekly appointment inside your flat, and the verification is the whole basis of that.

There are things a platform cannot verify, and you should know what they are. We cannot verify how patient someone is with a nervous fourteen-year-old, whether they will concede a point when the student is right, or whether they will still be enthusiastic in February. Nobody can check those remotely. That is why the trial session exists and why we ask you to form a view within the first fortnight rather than at the end of a term.

Here is what we suggest you check yourself in the first session, and it takes no expertise. Ask the tutor which component your child's next assessment belongs to and listen for whether they name it precisely. Ask to see the last ten minutes of the session: a good tutor ends with the student summarising, not with the tutor summarising. Look at what is written on the page at the end, because a session with no written output was a conversation. And ask what they want your child to have done before the next visit, in one specific sentence.

On access, be practical. Most buildings along LBS Marg and in the lanes behind it require a visitor entry each time, and some societies want a standing approval for a repeat visitor. Sort that out in week one, because a tutor who travels from the Western Suburbs and then waits fifteen minutes at the gate will start resenting the slot. Keep the tutor's phone number yourself rather than routing every message through a coordinator, and tell us if anything about the arrangement changes.

  • Photo identity, degree and teaching history checked before a profile is listed
  • Subject claims verified at component level, not at subject-name level
  • Temperament cannot be verified remotely; that is what the trial session tests
  • Good first session ends with the student summarising and something written down
  • Arrange standing gate approval in week one so nobody waits at the entrance

What do IB and IGCSE tuition fees in Ghatkopar West depend on?

Fees are set by the tutor, not by IB Gram, and they move on five things: the board and level, the scarcity of the subject, how far the tutor travels, the session length, and whether the format is home, online or hybrid. We will not publish a price list for Ghatkopar West, because any number quoted on a web page is either wrong for your subject or an anchor designed to get you to call. What we can do is tell you honestly which of those five levers you control and which you do not.

Level does most of the work. DP HL costs more than DP SL, and DP SL costs more than IGCSE, because the pool of people who can teach HL to a high standard is small and knows it. Within a board, scarcity matters more than the subject's difficulty: HL Economics, DP Psychology, DP Global Politics and the less common languages cost more than HL Biology, not because they are harder but because fewer tutors in Mumbai teach them well. Core work pricing surprises people too, since EE and TOK supervision is specialised and short-term.

Travel is the lever Ghatkopar West families are unusually well placed on. A tutor who drives across the Eastern Express Highway in the evening peak prices that hour into the session, and should. A tutor who takes Metro Line 1 from Andheri and steps off at your station spends about thirty-five minutes on a train he can read on, which is a materially smaller imposition and is often reflected in what he asks for. That is the practical payoff of sitting at the terminus: the metro-reachable share of the city's tutor pool is accessible to you at closer-to-local rates, and it is the main reason we encourage families here to widen the search westwards instead of accepting whichever local tutor is free.

Two more things change the total rather than the rate. Session length and frequency are yours to set, and two shorter sessions a week usually produce more than one long one at the same total cost, especially for a student with an attention problem rather than a knowledge gap. And an early start is cheaper than a late one in the only sense that counts: a student who begins in August needs fewer sessions than the same student in February, because the February version is buying crisis management instead of teaching. An IB and IGCSE tutor Mumbai parents book in the first term is usually the cheaper decision overall.

  • Board and level: DP HL above DP SL, DP SL above IGCSE
  • Scarcity beats difficulty: rare HL subjects cost more than common ones
  • Travel is priced in; metro-reachable tutors impose less than highway drivers
  • Two shorter weekly sessions often beat one long one at the same cost
  • Starting in August needs fewer sessions than starting in February

What progress looks like at four weeks, one term and one exam cycle

At four weeks, do not look at marks. Look for three things: your child can state what the next assessment is actually testing, the written work has structure where it previously had paragraphs, and the tutor can tell you specifically what is still weak. If the tutor says things are going well and nothing more, that is a bad sign at four weeks regardless of how pleasant the sessions are. One month is enough time to diagnose a problem and begin on it. It is not enough time to move a grade, and anyone who tells you otherwise is managing you.

At one term, marks should have started to move, but unevenly. The usual pattern is that the structured components move first, IA drafts, coursework, directed writing, and the examined papers lag by a term because exam technique is slower to build than content. A student who was guessing at the start of DP1 and is now attempting every question with a method has made the harder change even if the percentage has barely shifted. If nothing at all has changed after a full term of weekly home classes, something is wrong with the match, the frequency or the diagnosis, and it is our job to find out which.

Across a full exam cycle, the honest statement is this: IB Gram does not guarantee grades, and no tutor controls the outcome. What a good tutor controls is how much of the syllabus is actually understood, how the student spends the last eight weeks, and whether the internal components are finished properly instead of rushed. Those three things are most of the final mark, which is why we care about when you start more than almost anything else. The rest belongs to the student on the day.

We also think you should know the failure modes, because they are predictable. The student who will not do anything between sessions does not improve, and no amount of tutoring fixes that: the work between visits is where learning happens. The family that reschedules repeatedly loses the slot and then loses continuity. And the arrangement where nobody ever reviews progress drifts for months. We ask for a short conversation at four weeks and again at the end of the term for exactly that reason.

  • Four weeks: clearer diagnosis and better structure, not a higher mark
  • One term: internal components move first, examined papers lag behind
  • A student attempting every question with a method has already changed
  • Nothing moving after a full term means the match or frequency is wrong
  • Work done between sessions decides the outcome more than session count

Starting home classes in Ghatkopar West this month

To start, send four things: the school and year, the board and subjects, the next assessment with its date, and the two or three weekday evening windows that genuinely work for your household. The last one saves the most time. Families often ask for the ideal slot and then discover that dinner, a sibling's class or a parent's commute makes it impossible, and the tutor has already blocked it. Tell us the real windows and we will match against them rather than against the ones you hope to arrange.

Useful extras, if you have them: the last report card, a photograph of a recently marked piece of work, and the school's assessment calendar for the term. The marked work is the most valuable single item, because the examiner's or teacher's comments tell a tutor in two minutes what a parent's description takes two sessions to convey. If your child is in DP, say which three subjects are at HL and whether the EE supervisor has been assigned.

The first session is diagnostic and should feel like it. The tutor works through a piece of recent work with your child, identifies which specific components are weak, sets a short piece of work for the week, and then tells you in plain language what the plan is for the next month. You should finish that conversation knowing what will be different in four weeks. If you do not, say so immediately rather than waiting.

On logistics, decide the gate arrangement before the first visit, pick a table rather than a bedroom if you have the choice, and agree a policy for missed sessions at the start instead of after the first one. A tutor travelling from the Western Suburbs on Metro Line 1 needs the slot to be reliable to keep it. Families in Ghatkopar West, Ghatkopar East, Kurla and Vikhroli are matched from the same pool, so tell us if a nearby address works too.

  • Send school, year, board, subjects and the next assessment date
  • Share the last report and one photograph of recently marked work
  • Give two or three evening windows that genuinely work at home
  • First session is diagnostic and ends with a stated plan for a month
  • Settle gate access and a missed-session policy before week one
FAQs

Ghatkopar West tutoring — questions parents ask

How quickly can an IB and IGCSE home tutor start in Ghatkopar West?+

For a common subject, usually within the same week, because the Ghatkopar West, Ghatkopar East, Kurla and Vikhroli pool is deep for mainstream IGCSE and SL subjects. Scarce requirements take longer: a specific HL subject, a less common language, or a narrow weekday window can take a week or two to fill properly. We would rather hold a slot open for ten days than send someone who will leave in a month. If a deadline is close, we will say plainly whether a short online arrangement should cover the gap while we find the right home tutor.

Will a tutor from the Western Suburbs really travel to Ghatkopar West every week?+

Yes, more readily than to anywhere else in the Central Suburbs, and the reason is Metro Line 1. Ghatkopar is the line's eastern terminus, so a tutor in Andheri West boards near home and steps off at your station in about thirty-five minutes, with no car and no highway stretch. That is a tolerable commute to repeat weekly, which is why scarce HL subjects are easier to staff in Ghatkopar West than in Mulund or Bhandup. Road-based journeys across the Eastern Express Highway are a different proposition and hold up far less well through the year.

Is the journey home after an 8pm finish a problem for the tutor?+

It is the real constraint on late weekday slots, and we raise it rather than hide it. The outbound trip at six is easy; the return towards Andheri after eight is the leg that makes tutors quietly drop a slot in January. A finish at eight holds much better than nine, and a Saturday or Sunday morning slot holds better than either. If your household can only manage a late weekday evening, we will usually recommend a tutor from Ghatkopar East, Kurla or Vikhroli over a better subject match travelling from the Western Suburbs.

Does a parent need to be at home during a home tuition session?+

For PYP and MYP children, yes, an adult should be in the flat, though not in the room. For DP and IGCSE students it is not necessary, and many sessions work better without an audience. What we do ask is that a parent is reachable by phone and present for a few minutes at the end of the first session and again at the four-week review. Hovering is counterproductive: a student who is being watched will not admit confusion, and admitting confusion is most of what a tutor is there to hear.

Our society needs a gate pass for every visitor. How does that work weekly?+

Arrange a standing approval for a repeat visitor in the first week, and give the tutor's name, phone number and the fixed slot to your building office. Most societies along LBS Marg and in the lanes behind it will register a weekly tutor once rather than requiring a fresh entry each time. This is worth doing properly: a tutor who travels across Mumbai and then waits at the gate for fifteen minutes is on the way to giving up the slot. Tell us if your building has an unusual protocol and we will brief the tutor before the first visit.

What do fees depend on, and why will you not quote a number?+

Fees depend on five things: board, level, how scarce the subject is, how far the tutor travels, and session length and format. Tutors set their own rates, so any figure on this page would be wrong for most readers and misleading for the rest. DP HL costs more than DP SL, which costs more than IGCSE; a rare HL subject costs more than a common one; and a tutor driving the Eastern Express Highway in peak hour prices that hour in. Tell us the subject, level and slot and you will get real numbers from real tutors.

The tutor is not working out. What happens then?+

Tell us that week and we re-match, with no expectation that you justify it at length. A wrong fit is usually visible by the second or third session: the student goes quiet, nothing is written during the hour, or the tutor cannot name what is weak. We would far rather replace someone in week two than discover in February that a term was lost. We will ask what specifically did not work, because that sharpens the next match, but the decision is yours and it does not need to be diplomatic.

Does online tuition actually work for IGCSE, or is it a compromise?+

It works well for some things and poorly for others, and the honest split is by subject and by age. For IGCSE students working on past papers, essay structure and coursework drafts, online is genuinely effective and sometimes better, because short frequent sessions beat one long weekly visit. For younger children, for anything diagram-heavy, and for students whose real problem is attention, home tuition wins clearly. The one non-negotiable online is a camera angle on the page rather than only the face, so the tutor sees the work as it is written.

There has been no progress after a month. Should we stop?+

Not necessarily, but you should demand a specific explanation. At four weeks you should not expect a mark to move; you should expect a clear diagnosis, visible structure in written work, and a tutor who can name exactly what is still weak. If all three are present, continue. If the tutor can only say things are going well, that is the problem and we will re-match. If the student has done nothing between sessions, no tutor will fix that, and the conversation needs to be with the student rather than with us.

Can one tutor cover all IB and IGCSE subjects for two children?+

No single tutor should claim all IB and IGCSE subjects, and we are suspicious of anyone who does. In practice a family with a DP1 student and an IGCSE Year 9 student needs two or three people: a sciences or mathematics specialist, a humanities or languages specialist, and sometimes short-term EE or TOK support. What IB Gram does is coordinate them so the slots do not collide and the same household is not hosting four strangers. One point of contact, several verified specialists, is the arrangement that actually works.

Do you cover Ghatkopar East, Kurla and Vikhroli from the same tutor pool?+

Yes, those three are matched from the same pool as Ghatkopar West and a tutor who takes a slot in one will usually take one in the others. Ghatkopar East is a footbridge crossing away and is effectively the same market. Kurla is one Central Line stop south and reachable by road via the SCLR junction. Vikhroli is one stop north. Powai is reached from here by road along JVLR rather than by train, so it is covered but scheduled differently. Tell us if a second nearby address is workable, because it widens the shortlist immediately.
