IB and IGCSE Tutors and Online Home Tuition in Mathura

Home tuition for an IB or IGCSE student in Mathura is a live, private lesson taken on a laptop at your own desk, with a tutor who logs in from elsewhere in India. The city has no IB or Cambridge school we could confirm, so the syllabus, the past papers and the exam technique all have to reach your child some other way. Tell us the programme, the subject and the topic that is stuck, and we match one specialist for a free trial lesson.

  • Tutors are matched to the exact IB course or IGCSE syllabus your child sits
  • Every lesson runs online; home visits exist only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR
  • The first lesson is free and comes with no paperwork or promise
  • No link with the IB, Cambridge, Pearson or any school named below

IB & IGCSE in Mathura

IB and IGCSE tuition for a Braj city with an Army corps, a refinery and a university belt

Mathura is easy to describe by its temples. Krishna Janmasthan, Dwarkadheesh and the ghats along the Yamuna draw pilgrims all year, and Janmashtami alone brings an estimated three million devotees or more. The people who live here every day are a wider mix than that picture suggests, and some of them are looking for international curricula. This page is for parents searching for IB and IGCSE tutors in Mathura who want a real subject specialist, not a general tutor who lists the boards among twenty others.

Think about who actually lives around the city. Army families posted to Mathura Cantonment, where a Corps headquarters sits. Engineers and officers at the Indian Oil refinery, whose postings rarely outlast a few years. Lecturers at GLA University and the veterinary university, doctors at the medical college, and traders whose families have run sweet shops and guest houses for generations. Many of these households judge a school by how well it travels with a child, and IB and IGCSE travel well.

What Mathura lacks is a school that teaches these syllabuses. Directory listings for IB and IGCSE schools in Mathura come back empty, and we could not confirm a school from any other source, so this page names no Mathura school as offering either. Local schools follow the UP Board, CBSE or ICSE.

Home tuition here therefore means online home tuition: a live one-to-one lesson, the student at home on a laptop, a shared whiteboard on screen. Tutors do not visit homes in Mathura. In-person home tuition runs only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR, well over a hundred kilometres up the highway, and we would rather say so now than let a family plan around a visit that will not happen.

Coaching is where the line sits. A tutor explains, questions and marks practice work, but never drafts an IA, an Extended Essay, a TOK essay or any coursework. IB Gram works independently of the IB, Cambridge, Pearson and every school mentioned here.

At a glance

  • Private online lessons for IB PYP, MYP, DP and CP, and for Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE
  • Timetables shaped by Janmashtami, Holi and Kartik crowds rather than by a long commute
  • Hindi explanations when a hard idea needs them, English for the exam itself

IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Mathura school years

Mathura has no school running any IB stage that we could confirm, so the four programmes reach our tutors in different ways here: a child arriving from an IB school in another city, a boarder home for the holidays, or a family preparing ahead of a transfer. Each stage asks for a slightly different kind of help.

PYPNursery to Class 5, ages 3-12

IB Primary Years Programme

Six transdisciplinary themes, units of inquiry and a final Exhibition replace chapter-by-chapter textbooks. A tutor builds fluent reading, clear writing and number sense while keeping questions, not answers, at the centre of each session.

Requests from Mathura usually come from families who have just arrived from a PYP school in another city, often through an Army or refinery posting, and want reading and number levels checked before a new term begins.

MYPClass 6-10, ages 11-16

IB Middle Years Programme

Eight subject groups, each marked against four criteria, plus interdisciplinary units and a Personal Project in the last year. The jump that costs most marks is from recalling a fact to justifying a claim against a rubric.

MYP help in Mathura tends to arrive in bursts: a boarder back for the winter break, or a student catching up after joining mid-programme, with sessions built around one criterion at a time.

DPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Diploma Programme

Six subjects at Higher or Standard Level, plus the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge and CAS. Written papers fall in May, some schools add a November session, and internal assessments are spread across both years.

With no Diploma school in the city, tutoring follows the calendar of the student's school in Delhi NCR or another boarding town, and usually peaks before mock papers and predicted-grade deadlines.

CPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Career-related Programme

Two or three Diploma courses sit beside a career-related study, a reflective project and personal and professional skills. It suits students who want a practical route in areas such as hospitality, business or design.

Mathura's hospitality and pilgrimage economy makes Business Management and English the usual CP enquiry; the tutoring need is the Diploma course inside the student's own mix.

Subject coverage

IB subjects we tutor

Mathura requests cluster around mathematics and the sciences, with a steady stream for business, economics and languages. Each match starts from the course, the level and the exam session, so the tutor has taught that exact syllabus before.

IGCSE Hindi as a Second Language (0549)

Class 9-10

Comprehension and composition, well suited to students who use Hindi every day in Braj.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Mathura school timetables

Every lesson format in Mathura is a live video lesson, because home visits are offered only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. The three formats below differ in rhythm, not in medium, and a family can move between them as the term changes.

Weekly online home tuition

A fixed hour each week, taken at home on a laptop with a shared whiteboard, and a short written note sent after every session. It suits students who want a steady routine through the school year.

  • One tutor from the first lesson to the last exam
  • Worked solutions built on a shared whiteboard
  • A brief note for parents when each session ends

Festival-week flexible plan

Janmashtami, Holi and the Kartik fortnight fill Mathura with visitors and close roads. This plan places extra sessions on either side of the busiest days and shortens the lesson on the day itself, so a revision sequence is never broken by a procession.

  • Catch-up slots booked ahead of the crowds
  • Forty-minute lessons on peak days
  • Plan reviewed before each festival fortnight

Holiday block for boarders and movers

Short, dense courses in the winter and summer breaks for a student who studies away, or who is about to join a new school in Delhi NCR. The tutor sets the topics from the school's own syllabus before day one.

  • Alternate-day or daily blocks
  • Topics chosen from the student's weakest papers
  • A hand-over note for the next term's teacher

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Mathura

01

Who looks for IB and IGCSE tutors in Mathura?

  • Army, refinery and other transferable-job families looking for a portable syllabus
  • University, medical-college and veterinary-university staff with overseas links
  • Trading, hospitality and sweet-making families thinking about business and study abroad
  • International and returning households in the Mathura-Vrindavan belt

Four kinds of household ask most often: Army families posted to the cantonment, refinery and other oil-sector staff, teachers and doctors at the city's universities and medical colleges, and traders or hospitality owners who want a globally recognised qualification for their children. Each group is small in a city of about 4.4 lakh people, but together they explain why anyone searches for IB and IGCSE tutors in Mathura at all.

Army families are the most portable group. A Corps headquarters sits in Mathura Cantonment, and a service child may change city every few years. Some of them choose an international board because the child may one day study abroad, and a tutor who keeps teaching the same syllabus online turns a posting into a pause rather than a restart.

The refinery township is similar. Oil-sector staff move between Mathura and the company's other refinery towns, and their children meet a new board with every move. An IB or IGCSE course taught privately means the subject content stays continuous even when the classroom, the city and sometimes the language of instruction change.

GLA University, a veterinary university, a medical college and several engineering institutes employ faculty and clinicians who often hold overseas degrees or research links. They are the parents most likely to compare IB Diploma points with CUET-UG scores and to ask which foreign universities read which results.

The fourth group belongs to the city itself: sweet-makers, hotel and guest-house owners, printers and traders whose customers come from across India and sometimes abroad. Alongside them, a few international households live in the Mathura-Vrindavan belt for family or spiritual reasons, and their children may already have studied an international syllabus elsewhere.

02

Is there an IB or IGCSE school in Mathura itself?

Not one that we could confirm. Directory listings show no IB World School and no Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE centre for Mathura, and we found none in Vrindavan either. Local schools run the UP Board, CBSE or ICSE, so a family wanting an international syllabus either relocates, boards a child elsewhere, or studies the syllabus privately online alongside the local board.

Take care with names. Several schools across Braj carry words such as 'International' or 'Global' without teaching an international curriculum, and at least one Mathura school with 'International' in its name is listed as ICSE. Ask for the board and, for IB, the school's authorisation status, then look the school up on the IB's own school finder or Cambridge's list before trusting a signboard.

Agra, about 60 km along the highway, is the nearest city where we have seen a school described as Cambridge-linked. Noida and Greater Noida hold the closest cluster of IB Diploma schools, and Gurugram the widest spread. The Yamuna Expressway and the Delhi road make those journeys practical for a move or a boarding place, but none is a daily commute from Mathura.

For most families the working arrangement is a hybrid. A local or boarding school provides the certificate, and an online tutor covers syllabus detail, past papers and exam technique. Where a child is leaving Mathura for an international school, tuition starts a term early so that the first week in the new classroom already feels familiar.

03

UP Board, CBSE, ICSE, IB or IGCSE: how do the boards compare for a Mathura family?

The UP Board and CBSE are the everyday choices in Mathura, ICSE and ISC sit in a smaller set of schools, and IB and IGCSE are almost always studied through a school elsewhere or privately online. The real difference is how marks are earned: recall and procedure count heavily in the Indian boards, while IB and IGCSE reward explanation, application and evaluation.

The UP Board suits families who plan to stay in Uttar Pradesh and aim at state-level exams. It is widely taught, Hindi-medium options are common, and much of the local coaching market is built around it.

CBSE is the practical option for families likely to move across India, since its schools, including the central-government ones, follow one syllabus everywhere and its pattern lines up with JEE, NEET and CUET. For an Army or refinery family, that portability is real value.

IB and IGCSE ask for longer written answers, data questions and, in the IB, internal assessments and a research essay. They suit a child who may study abroad, who will move between countries, or who simply learns better by explaining. They also cost more effort in English, so a Hindi-medium student should expect a bridging term.

None of these routes is right for every child. The choice depends on the child, the likely next move and what the family can support week after week, and two or three trial lessons on a real IGCSE or IB topic say more than any brochure.

04

What decides the cost of IB and IGCSE tuition in Mathura?

  • Course, level and exam session set the starting point
  • Scarce combinations need fewer, more experienced tutors
  • More sessions a week raise the monthly total, not the hourly rate
  • Free trial lesson, then a written quote, then a decision

Five things set the rate for IB and IGCSE tutors in Mathura: the course and level, the tutor's experience with that exact syllabus, how many sessions a week, how long each lasts, and how close the exam is. There is no Mathura price list, and IB Gram does not publish prices; every rate is confirmed in writing before a family books anything.

Course and level come first. An IB Physics HL tutor who has taught the Diploma for years, or an IGCSE Extended Mathematics specialist, is priced differently from a tutor supporting MYP English or a Class 6 foundation plan. Scarcity counts as well: a rarer combination such as IB Computer Science HL or IB Economics HL has fewer qualified tutors to choose from.

Frequency and timing matter as much. One session a week costs less per month than three sessions a week in the run-up to mocks, and many families step up for six to eight weeks, then step back down. A sixty-minute lesson suits most older students, while younger learners often do better with forty-five.

Online delivery removes a cost that other families carry: the hours and fuel spent on a regular run to Agra or Delhi NCR for a specialist, or the expense of a second, city-based tutor. The first lesson is free, so a family can judge quality and fit before any money changes hands.

Ask every provider the same four questions: who exactly will teach, have they taught this syllabus and level before, what is written down after each lesson, and what happens if the fit is wrong. A rate that cannot be explained against those answers is hard to compare with any other.

05

Online home tuition, coaching centres, home tutors or self-study: what works in Mathura?

For IB and IGCSE, a live one-to-one online tutor who has taught the exact syllabus is the route that fits Mathura most closely, because each alternative misses something: coaching centres teach other exams, local home tutors rarely know these mark schemes, and self-study gives no feedback on method.

Mathura has coaching classes and private tutors for the UP Board, CBSE and entrance tests, and they serve those exams well. Their batches are pitched at board papers, JEE and NEET. A session on IB Chemistry HL or IGCSE Extended Physics in such a batch would be taught to a different examiner's expectations.

A local private tutor who comes to the house is familiar and convenient, and for a younger child on CBSE that is often the right call. For IB and IGCSE the difficulty is finding someone who has taught or marked these papers, so the lesson risks becoming a general explanation instead of exam-specific coaching.

Self-study works for revision once a topic is understood, using past papers where a school can supply them. Without feedback, a method error can be repeated for months, and IB and IGCSE marks depend heavily on method.

The table sets the four routes side by side. Many Mathura families combine two: a local school or coaching class for the board exams, and an online specialist for the international syllabus.

06

How do Janmashtami, Holi, the loo and fog sit against the exam calendar?

Mathura's year runs on two clocks, the festival calendar and the weather, and both cross the IB and Cambridge timetables. IB Diploma papers fall in May and Cambridge IGCSE sits in May-June and October-November, so revision peaks just as the loo is strongest, while Holi lands before mocks and Janmashtami in the opening weeks of term.

Janmashtami fills the city with pilgrims and slows the roads around the Janmasthan and Dwarkadheesh temples. Braj celebrates Holi over days rather than a single afternoon. Kartik brings Govardhan Puja, Bhai Dooj at Vishram Ghat and more parikrama crowds. None of this is a reason to stop lessons; it is a reason to book earlier in the week and keep a spare slot.

Summer is severe. Mathura has recorded 47.6 degrees Celsius in June, and afternoons from April to June are hard to study in, so lessons move to early morning or after dusk. Winter brings fog and nights close to freezing in December and January, and the monsoon between July and September adds heavy rain. A video lesson at home is unaffected by all three.

Edexcel IGCSE papers are held in January and May-June, with some subjects in autumn, and IB May-session results arrive in early July. A tutor works backwards from whichever session the child's school has entered, which is why the first conversation asks for the entry dates.

A sensible Mathura pattern is lighter weeks during Janmashtami and Holi, longer sessions in the cooler months from October to February, and one timed past paper a week through the final term.

07

Where can a Mathura IB or IGCSE student study after school?

  • AIU equivalence turns an IB Diploma into a Class 12 equivalent for Indian admissions
  • CUET-UG is the main gateway to central universities
  • JEE and NEET eligibility depends on subjects and certificates, checked every year
  • Overseas universities read IB points, Higher Level grades and predicted grades

After the IB Diploma, a Mathura student can apply to universities abroad, to Indian universities through CUET-UG or the university's own process, and to engineering or medicine subject to each exam's eligibility rules. After IGCSE, the routes are A Level, the IB Diploma, or Class 11 and 12 of an Indian board, and the choice made at the end of Class 10 shapes everything that follows.

An Association of Indian Universities equivalence certificate is what converts IB Diploma results into a Class 12 equivalent for most Indian admissions. Apply early, because it needs documents from the school and the IB and can take weeks, and a missing certificate is the most common avoidable delay.

CUET-UG is the main gateway to central universities, including several in Delhi, and IB students sit it like their CBSE peers. Subject choice matters: pick domain subjects that match the course you want, and check each university's own eligibility notice.

JEE Main and NEET-UG accept IB Diploma holders under their published eligibility rules, which usually ask for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology at Class 12 level plus an equivalence certificate. Read the current information bulletin every year, because the details change.

For the UK, US, Canada, Australia and Singapore, universities read IB points and Higher Level results, and predicted grades are built during Class 12. A tutor helps the student reach the subject standard; the application itself belongs to the student and the school counsellor.

08

IB Mathematics AA and AI, Physics, Chemistry and Biology for Mathura students

  • AA versus AI is decided early, from the student's likely university course
  • GDC skills are practised from the first term, not the last
  • Revised science guides are used for students starting now
  • Investigations use data the student can collect or cite honestly

IB Mathematics comes in two courses. Analysis and Approaches is algebra-heavy, with calculus and proof, and suits a student aiming at engineering or pure science. Applications and Interpretation is built on statistics, modelling and technology, and suits commerce, economics, design or life sciences. A Mathura family without a school coordinator to advise should settle this in the first lesson, not in the first exam.

At Higher Level both courses add a third paper of extended problems, and the calculator papers assume a graphic display calculator. Tutors rehearse calculator skills early, because a student who meets the GDC only in the final term loses minutes on every paper. The Mathematical Exploration is the student's own investigation: a tutor can help choose a scope and check the structure, but never writes a line of it.

Physics, Chemistry and Biology were revised for first examination in 2025, so a student starting the Diploma now follows the new guides, with a scientific investigation as the internal assessment. Tutors teach from the current guide rather than an older textbook and check which edition the student's school is using.

Physics HL students in Mathura most often ask about mechanics and fields, where derivations and unit handling lose marks. Chemistry students struggle with stoichiometry, equilibrium and organic reaction routes, and Biology students with extended-response wording and data questions. A tutor teaches the topic, then drills the question types the papers repeat.

The scientific investigation needs a workable question and honest data. With no school lab routine to lean on, a student may use a home experiment, a public dataset or the partner lab of the school they attend. Yamuna water-quality readings and local air data are practical starting points for Chemistry and ESS, provided the student collects or cites the data properly.

09

IGCSE Core or Extended: which tier and subjects should a Mathura student choose?

  • Extended or Higher keeps A Level Maths, IB and the sciences open
  • A Class 9 diagnostic replaces the missing school signal
  • Keep Physics, Chemistry and Maths together for engineering or medicine
  • Name the board and syllabus code in the first message

Choose Extended for any student who may continue to A Level Mathematics, IB Analysis and Approaches or the sciences, and Core only when a steady pass is the realistic aim. Cambridge Core papers cap the top grade well below the maximum, while Extended opens the full range; Edexcel's Foundation and Higher tiers follow the same logic.

Without a local IGCSE school setting topic tests, a Mathura family has no natural signal for the tier. A tutor can run a short diagnostic on Extended past-paper questions in the first weeks of Class 9, then recommend a tier from the evidence rather than from habit or fear.

Most students sit five to eight subjects, typically Mathematics, English, two sciences and one or two from business, economics, computer science or a language. A student who wants to keep engineering or medicine open should keep Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at Extended and consider Additional Mathematics as well.

Students from Hindi-medium schools often gain from IGCSE Hindi as a Second Language, where they start ahead, and lose ground on English-language reading in the sciences. A glossary built week by week, in both languages, closes that gap faster than extra past papers.

Cambridge and Edexcel differ in layout and wording even where topics match, so the tutor works from the specific code the school uses. Tell us the board in your very first message.

Where we tutor

Mathura neighbourhoods and corridors our online tutors support

A lesson reaches any Mathura address with a steady connection, so this list is about daily life rather than distance. The notes cover the crowds, corridors and school hours that shape when a child is free. None of these areas is claimed to have an IB or Cambridge school.

Civil Lines

The established administrative quarter around the district offices. Officials and professional families here often ask about portable curricula, and evening slots fit a long working day.

Holi Gate and Chowk Bazaar

The old city's market heart. Lanes clog with shoppers and pilgrims, so the afternoon ride to any coaching class is slow, and a lesson at home is easier to keep.

Vishram Ghat and the Dwarkadheesh lanes

Pilgrim footfall is heaviest here, peaking at Janmashtami and on Bhai Dooj. Families running shops and guest houses plan lessons around festival-week work.

Krishna Janmasthan and Bhuteshwar

Security checks and crowds around the Janmasthan complex, and a busy crossing near Bhuteshwar, stretch school runs on temple days.

Krishna Nagar

A large residential colony with its own market streets, home to professional and trading households weighing a change of board.

Mathura Cantonment

Army families attached to the Corps headquarters. Postings are short, which is why a portable syllabus, not one city's board, often drives the choice.

Mathura Refinery township

A planned township for the refinery workforce, where households are used to transfers and to children changing schools mid-career.

Delhi Road and Chaumuhan

The highway belt towards Delhi, home to GLA University and newer housing. Faculty and student families here often have ties to Delhi NCR and overseas study.

Mathura-Vrindavan Road

The link between two towns now run by one municipal corporation, with newer colonies where addresses name both. A school in either is a short ride; an IB or IGCSE school is not.

Jamunapar

The far bank of the Yamuna, reached over the river bridge. Travel to the main-city schools depends on bridge traffic, which online lessons sidestep.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Mathura

Mathura and Vrindavan (day schools)

Directory listings show no IB World School and no Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE centre in Mathura, and our own checks found none in Vrindavan next door. Local schools run the UP Board, CBSE or ICSE, a few with 'International' in the name, so ask any school which board it actually teaches.

    Nearby: Agra

About 60 km up the highway, Agra is the closest city with a school we have seen described as Cambridge-linked on a sibling page. For most Mathura families it is a boarding or relocation decision, not a daily run.

    • Sharda World School

    Nearby: Noida and Greater Noida

The Yamuna Expressway ties Mathura to this belt, which holds the nearest cluster of IB Diploma schools. Families weigh day-boarding against a move, and a tutor keeps the syllabus steady through either.

    • Pathways School Noida
    • Genesis Global School
    • Shiv Nadar School, Noida

    Nearby: Gurugram, Delhi NCR

Delhi NCR has the widest choice of IB and IGCSE schools within a day's reach of Mathura, and Gurugram is the one place IB Gram also offers in-person home visits.

    • Pathways World School
    • GD Goenka World School
    • Lancers International School

Schools appear here only to show where international curricula can be found within reach of Mathura. IB Gram is an independent tutoring service with no tie to any school, board or exam body named on this page, so check a school's current affiliation and entry rules with the school itself.

    Why families choose us

What Mathura parents tell us matters most

    Matched to the exact course

We start from the IB subject and level or the IGCSE code and tier, then choose the tutor, never the reverse.

    Plain about home visits

Mathura lessons run online, and we say so up front; home visits exist only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR.

    Built around Braj's calendar

Holi, Janmashtami and Kartik weeks are planned for, not apologised for.

    Written follow-up

A short note after every session tells parents what was covered and what comes next.

    Coaching, never ghost-writing

Tutors guide method and feedback; IAs, Extended Essays, TOK essays and coursework stay the student's own work.

    Try before committing

A free first lesson lets you judge the tutor on how they teach.

    Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Mathura: your questions answered

Can I find IB and IGCSE tutors in Mathura?+

Yes, online. IB and IGCSE tutors in Mathura teach live, one to one, from other Indian cities, and a Mathura student joins from home on a laptop. We match by programme, subject and level, and the first lesson is free, so you can judge the teaching before deciding. Every tutor works on Indian Standard Time, so there is no time difference to manage.

Do IB Gram tutors come to homes in Mathura?+

No. Home visits run only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. A Mathura family gets online home tuition instead: a private one-to-one lesson at home with a shared whiteboard and a written note afterwards. The teaching has the same focus as a visit would; only the travel is removed.

Is there an IB or IGCSE school in Mathura?+

We could not confirm one. Directory listings show no IB World School and no Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE centre in Mathura, and local schools follow the UP Board, CBSE or ICSE. Families who want an international school look at Agra, Noida or Gurugram, and should verify any school's affiliation with the IB or Cambridge directly.

What does IB or IGCSE tuition cost in Mathura?+

It depends on the course, level, tutor experience, sessions per week and how near the exams are; there is no published price list. A quote for your exact situation arrives in writing before any trial is booked, and nothing locks you in afterwards. Online delivery also removes the travel cost of reaching a specialist in Agra or Delhi.

We are an Army family at Mathura Cantonment. Can tutoring follow us when we move?+

Yes, and that is one of the strongest reasons to choose online tuition. The tutor, the syllabus and the notes stay the same from Mathura to the next posting; only the lesson time may need adjusting. Tell us the likely move date so we can plan hand-overs around the school's exam dates.

Our child's Mathura school runs CBSE. Can an online tutor still help with IGCSE or IB?+

Yes, but be clear about the goal. A tutor can teach an IGCSE or IB syllabus privately, for a planned switch or for a school elsewhere, yet a CBSE school will still enter the child for CBSE exams. Whether a child can sit an international exam at all is a question for the exam board and a registered centre, so check entry rules and deadlines early.

Which IB Maths course should my child take?+

Analysis and Approaches suits engineering and pure science; Applications and Interpretation suits economics, business, design and life sciences. The school's coordinator decides what is offered, and a tutor can show what each course demands week to week. For a student eyeing JEE-linked engineering routes, Analysis and Approaches is usually the closer match.

Can tutors write or correct my child's Internal Assessment or Extended Essay?+

No. Tutors coach method, structure and feedback, but never write or rewrite assessed work. The IB and Cambridge require it to be the student's own, and a tutor who crossed that line would put the result at risk. What a tutor can do is explain the criteria, question the logic of a draft and help a student plan time.

    When are the exam sessions?+

IB Diploma written exams are held in May, with results in early July, and some schools also run a November session. Cambridge IGCSE runs in May-June and October-November, and Pearson Edexcel in January and May-June, with some subjects in autumn. A tutor plans backwards from the session your child's school has entered.

How do lessons cope with Janmashtami, Holi or pilgrim traffic?+

They move rather than vanish. We place catch-up slots on either side of the busiest days and can shorten a lesson on the day itself. Because nobody has to travel, processions and road closures do not cancel a class, and a quiet room with headphones handles most of the noise.

Is IGCSE or IB Hindi available, and can lessons be in Hindi?+

Yes to the subject: IGCSE Hindi as a Second Language and IB Hindi A and B both exist, and tutors can support reading, writing and speaking. Lessons in other subjects run mainly in English, because the papers are in English, but a tutor can explain a difficult idea in Hindi when it helps. Mention the preference in your first message.

What about power cuts or a weak internet connection?+

We agree a backup at the start: a mobile hotspot, a charged phone on standby, or a quick reschedule. The shared whiteboard keeps the lesson's work visible, so a dropped call resumes without losing the page. Sessions are also kept to a length your connection can carry comfortably.

Can you prepare my child for an international school entrance test in Noida, Agra or Gurugram?+

Yes. Tell us the school and the year group, and we prepare for the test, usually English and Mathematics and sometimes science or reasoning. Preparation can begin a term or two before the test date, and the same tutor can carry on after admission if the family wants continuity.

Is online tutoring enough for Higher Level Physics or Chemistry without a lab?+

It covers the content, data analysis and exam technique fully, and it can help plan the investigation. Practical skills still come from whatever lab access the student's school provides; a tutor uses simulations, datasets and video to fill gaps, but cannot replace a real bench session.

Should we board in Noida or Gurugram, or stay in Mathura with a tutor?+

Boarding gives a full IB or IGCSE school day, peers and a coordinator, at a high cost in fees and distance from family. Staying in Mathura with an online tutor suits a child settled in a local board who needs a specialist in one or two subjects. Many families combine the two, boarding from Class 11 and using a tutor before and during. The school choice stays yours.

What if my child does not get along with the tutor?+

Tell us by email or WhatsApp and we arrange another tutor, usually passing the lesson notes across. Fit matters more than loyalty to a first match, and progress is reviewed every few weeks precisely so a poor fit does not drag on.

Where would my child actually sit the exams?+

Entries are made by a registered school or exam centre, never by a tutor. IB Diploma papers are taken through an authorised IB school, while IGCSE candidates sit at their school's centre or at an independent centre that accepts private candidates. Ask the school or centre early, since entry deadlines fall months before each series.

    How do I get started?+

Message us on WhatsApp at +91 7439 368 115 or write to support@ibgram.com, and say which board or programme, which subject and level, and which evenings suit your household. A reply follows with one or two tutor options and some open trial slots, all online.
