IB and IGCSE Tutors and Online Home Tuition in Manwath

Manwath sits on NH 61, thirty-seven kilometres from Parbhani, in a Marathi and Urdu school landscape with no IB or Cambridge campus we could confirm. Anyone seeking home tuition for an IB or IGCSE student gets a private live video lesson here, since tutors do not travel to Manwath.

  • Tutors are picked for the exact IB course or IGCSE specification code your child studies
  • Lessons are live online in Manwath, as doorstep visits run only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR
  • The first class is free and the fee is sent in writing before you decide
  • A written summary reaches parents after each lesson

IB & IGCSE in Manwath

Studying an international syllabus from a Marathwada town

Manwath, also spelt Manwat, is a municipal town in Parbhani district with a population in the low tens of thousands and a literacy rate a little below the Maharashtra average. National Highway 61 passes through it, a ring road bypasses the centre, and the nearest railway stop, Manwath Road, is some seven kilometres out. The surrounding taluka has 54 villages, which makes the town the market and school centre for a wide farming area.

Its schools teach in Marathi, Urdu and English, and the listed institutions include K.K.M. College, an Industrial Training Institute and Saraswati Junior College. About a quarter of residents are Muslim and roughly two thirds Hindu, so Urdu-medium education has a real place alongside Marathi. We did not find a school in the town running the IB or a Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE, and we will not name one we cannot verify.

Why would a Manwath family look for IB or IGCSE help, then? Typically because a child boards in Pune, Hyderabad or Nagpur, because a parent works for a bank, the police or a government department and may be transferred, or because relatives in the Gulf or the West have suggested a global degree route. Some simply want strong English-language mathematics and science before Class 11.

For all of them, our tutors teach online. IB Gram does not send tutors to houses in Manwath; in-person home visits are limited to Gurugram and some Delhi NCR areas. Our home tuition here is the live, private kind, delivered on a laptop at the student's own table. IB Gram is independent of the IB, Cambridge, Pearson and all schools named, and tutors never write assessed work for a student.

At a glance

  • IB PYP, MYP, DP and CP, with Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE
  • No trip to Parbhani, Nanded or Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for a specialist
  • A free first class and a written fee
  • Brief written feedback after every lesson
  • On-screen only in Manwath, with no tutor visits to homes
IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Manwath school years

Every IB stage can be followed from Manwath through live lessons. What changes from one stage to the next is the kind of help a tutor gives, as the cards below show.

PYPNursery up to Class 5, around 3 to 11 years old

IB Primary Years Programme

Learning is grouped into themed units of inquiry, and children are asked to wonder, test ideas and share what they find. A final-year Exhibition gives each child a personal topic to explore.

For a young child in a Marathi- or Urdu-speaking Manwath home, short playful sessions in spoken English and number games lay the base far better than long written exercises.

MYPClasses 6 through 10, around 11 to 16 years old

IB Middle Years Programme

Teachers mark work against published criteria across eight subject groups, and units connect to real-world contexts. The Personal Project at the end asks for months of self-managed work.

A student arriving from a Maharashtra State Board class generally needs to practise explaining a reason, not just stating a fact, and our tutors build that habit through repeated worked examples.

DPClasses 11 and 12, around 16 to 19 years old

IB Diploma Programme

A student takes six courses, three of them at Higher Level, and adds Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS. Papers are sat in May or November, while school-marked internal work feeds each final grade.

A Manwath Diploma student is usually registered at a boarding school in another city, so a home-based specialist helps through holidays, illness or a missed unit.

CPClasses 11 and 12, around 16 to 19 years old

IB Career-related Programme

Here a student studies a couple of Diploma subjects next to a vocational strand, plus a reflective project and a language component, which attracts those who prefer applied study.

CP is offered by only a handful of Indian schools, and none near Manwath that we can confirm. We tutor the academic parts for students registered elsewhere and say frankly when another route suits the child more.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Manwath school timetables

Our team does not go to Manwath addresses, so each arrangement below is a screen session. What differs is how many learners join and which part of the calendar suits it.

Private online lessons at home

The child sits in their usual study spot and one specialist teaches over video. That is what we call home tuition for Manwath; tutors at the door are limited to Gurugram and certain Delhi NCR neighbourhoods.

  • Whiteboard and worksheets visible to both
  • A regular weekly hour in IST
  • A short recap sent after the class

Diwali and summer catch-up blocks

School holidays create open weeks that suit concentrated revision of the units that went badly in the term.

  • Classes on most days of the break
  • Past papers returned with comments
  • List of shaky topics for parents

Shared lessons for two

Cousins or classmates following the same course can split one tutor's time and so split the cost.

  • A single shared course and level
  • Fee confirmed in writing
  • Move back to solo lessons if you prefer

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Manwath

01

Is there an IB or IGCSE school in Manwath, Parbhani or nearby?

  • No confirmed IB or IGCSE school in Manwath or Parbhani
  • Pune, Hyderabad and Nagpur hold the nearest confirmed schools
  • Transfers are most common at Class 9 or Class 11
  • Always check authorisation on the official site

Not one that we could verify. Manwath's schools run in Marathi, Urdu and English under the State Board, and Parbhani, the district seat, is similarly a state-board and CBSE city. We would rather leave the list empty than put a name there on a hunch.

Confirmed international schools lie farther away. Pune has Mahindra United World College of India and International School Aamby, both boarding schools with the IB. Hyderabad has Oakridge International School, and Nagpur has D Y Patil International School at MIHAN. A Manwath family looking at them is looking at relocation or boarding.

Because the move is big, many families begin by testing the ground at home. They enrol a child in IGCSE Mathematics or Science for a year of online tutoring, or they prepare for a mid-course transfer at Class 9 or Class 11. A tutor on a screen helps in both cases.

If any school tells you it is IB-authorised or a Cambridge centre, ask for the authorisation record and check it on the IB or Cambridge website.

02

How do Maharashtra State Board, CBSE, IGCSE and IB compare in Manwath?

A Maharashtra State Board paper draws mainly on the Balbharati textbooks, rewards accurate recall and neat presentation, and may be written in Marathi, Urdu or English. CBSE keeps a national syllabus and tests application more. IGCSE and IB papers go further, giving data, diagrams or a passage the student has not met and asking for reasoning in the student's own words.

For the student, this is a change of method more than of content. Copying out chapter summaries stops being useful; solving varied questions, checking against a mark scheme and rewriting weak answers become the main activity. The shift is easier with a tutor who sees each attempt as it happens.

Where each board leads also differs. A State Board or CBSE student heads for MHT-CET, JEE, NEET, CUET-UG or Maharashtra counselling, whereas IGCSE then the Diploma or A Levels points at British, Canadian, Australian, Singapore and European campuses, with IB scores also honoured in India through AIU equivalence.

We say honestly in the free lesson if a child is better off staying on the board they know.

03

What shapes the cost of IB and IGCSE tuition for Manwath families?

A price list would mislead, so there is none on this page. The fee depends on the tutor and the course, and a figure arrives in writing after the free first lesson, before you commit to anything.

Three factors matter most. Level: IB Chemistry HL demands a more specialised tutor than primary-level English. Scarcity: Psychology or Environmental Systems tutors are fewer than Mathematics tutors, so those lessons cost more. Hours: a student having two classes a week before a May session pays for more time than one meeting every few weeks.

Local tuition in Manwath or Parbhani is cheaper because many students share a teacher, but it does not prepare anyone for an IB mark scheme. A private teacher in Pune would be nearer in kind, though the family would pay for travel and accommodation as well.

If the budget is tight, a small bundle of classes on one troublesome unit is possible, and so is a lesson shared with another student.

04

Online home tuition, local classes, private tutors or self-study: which works in Manwath?

Manwath's tuition culture is oriented to State Board examinations and to entrance tests such as MHT-CET. Those classes bring routine and company, and for board exams they work. They are not built for command terms, internal assessments or Cambridge extended-response questions.

A private tutor from the neighbourhood is often best for a younger child's confidence. The limit appears when the question is about a specification they have never taught.

Self-study with online past papers is cheap, and good students use it well. Its weakness is silent error: a wrong method repeated twenty times looks, to the student, like practice.

Online home tuition puts a specialist on a video call who corrects the exact step, in real time, on a shared page. It needs a steady connection and a quiet corner, and it cannot replace a school laboratory.

05

How do monsoon, heat and festivals shape study in Manwath?

Final IB papers come in May and November. IGCSE sessions come around May or June and again around October or November, and a few Edexcel subjects also sit in January. If your child is enrolled in a faraway school, its mock timetable rules; a private candidate follows the exam centre.

Marathwada weather leaves a mark on the study year. April and May are hot and dry, so afternoon work is difficult, and the monsoon from June to September decides whether the farming year is easy or hard, which affects household moods. Winter is the best season for long study blocks.

The festival rhythm adds more. Ganesh Chaturthi and Diwali dominate autumn, Gudi Padwa marks the new year in spring, and Ramzan and Eid shape the routine of Muslim families, who make up about a quarter of the town. Evening slots are rescheduled around iftar and festival gatherings.

We plan around all this: a slot can move earlier in summer, revision can be front-loaded before a festival fortnight, and exam months can carry two sessions each week.

06

What are the university pathways after IB or IGCSE from Manwath?

Inside India, a Diploma holder can approach universities that honour AIU equivalence; quite a few private ones and some central ones read IB grades directly. Maharashtra's engineering and medical seats run on MHT-CET, JEE and NEET rules, so an IB student should read the subject and board conditions well in advance.

Higher Level subject choices made at sixteen matter for those routes. CUET-UG applies to many central university programmes. Our role is academic preparation; we do not promise a seat.

For study overseas, households with cousins in the Gulf, Britain, Canada, Australia or America tend to start with those countries. Universities in Britain read predicted IB points or A Level grades, Canada and Australia take either, and American colleges look at essays and activities too.

Commerce-minded students, common in trading families of Parbhani district, often pair IB Economics and Business Management with Mathematics AI, leading to management, finance and accountancy degrees.

07

How do online lessons handle IB Mathematics and the sciences?

  • Pick Maths AA or AI after talking to a tutor
  • Corrections made live on one board
  • Drills on the data booklet and command terms
  • Investigations discussed, never written by the tutor

There are two IB maths courses. One, Analysis and Approaches, is about functions, calculus and proof, and it fits would-be engineers. The other, Applications and Interpretation, leans on data, modelling and technology for commerce and social science. Students choose before Class 11, and our trial lesson helps with that decision.

Both people write on the same digital board, so a tutor can halt at the very line where a sign flipped. Calculator keystrokes are shown by sharing a screen.

Science lessons concentrate on reading data, getting units right, decoding command terms and shaping the internal investigation. Everything in that investigation, from question to write-up, stays with the student; the tutor only talks through approach and error analysis.

If the school lab is modest, simulations and short demo videos fill in, and a simple home measurement can supply genuine numbers for practice.

08

Core or Extended: choosing IGCSE tiers and subjects from Manwath

Plenty of IGCSE subjects come as Core or Extended. Core puts a ceiling on the grade, Extended removes it, so anybody heading to IB Mathematics, the sciences or A Levels should expect to take Extended in those.

A candidate usually takes five to eight subjects. From Marathwada we often see Mathematics, the three sciences, English, Economics or Accounting, Computer Science and Hindi, depending on the board and the exam centre.

We teach both Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel. They are alike in aim but differ in paper design and, in some subjects, coursework and practical rules, so we confirm the syllabus code with the school or exam centre before planning.

Good IGCSE results show a student is ready for the Diploma or A Levels; uneven ones show the repairs needed before Class 11.

Where we tutor

Manwath neighbourhoods we teach online

Our lessons reach any Manwath address with a reliable connection. These are the parts of town and its approaches that families mention, with a note on timing and the practical side of the school day.

Bus stand and main market

The commercial hub on NH 61, busy until late. Lessons work best once the shops have slowed down for the evening.

Ring Road bypass side

Newer plots and houses on the bypass, where many younger families have built in recent years.

NH 61 corridor towards Parbhani

Households whose members commute to Parbhani for work, and who value a lesson that does not need a bus ride.

K.K.M. College area

Streets near the degree college, where lecturers and clerks often wonder which degrees an IB score can open.

Industrial Training Institute area

Families of instructors and technical staff, many interested in engineering pathways.

Saraswati Junior College area

Homes close to the junior college, with Class 11 and 12 students deciding streams.

Older market lanes

Long-settled trading families, among them Urdu-speaking households, with strong ties to relatives in cities and the Gulf.

Towards Manwath Road station

The stretch toward the railway halt about seven kilometres away, where a long commute makes online lessons attractive.

Taluka villages

Several of the 54 villages send students into Manwath for school, and a screen lesson avoids another journey.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Manwath

Nearby: Pune

Several hundred kilometres west, Pune and its surrounding district are where a number of Marathwada families board a child for the IB Diploma.

  • Mahindra United World College of India (IB Diploma, boarding)
  • International School Aamby (IB PYP to DP, boarding)

Nearby: Hyderabad

Reachable by direct train through Parbhani Junction, Hyderabad has a much deeper IB and Cambridge network than Marathwada does.

  • Oakridge International School, Hyderabad

Nearby: Nagpur

A long journey east, Nagpur has a confirmed IB option that occasionally attracts Marathwada boarders.

  • D Y Patil International School, MIHAN, Nagpur

In Manwath and Parbhani itself: no confirmed IB or Cambridge school

Local schools follow the Maharashtra State Board or CBSE and teach in Marathi, Urdu or English.

  • No confirmed IB or IGCSE school in Manwath; we name none.

We tutor on our own account, with no partnership with the IB, Cambridge, Pearson or any listed school. Names above are there only to show what exists nearby, so ask each school what it currently offers and under whose authorisation.

Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Manwath: your questions answered

Is IB or IGCSE tutoring available in Manwath?+

It is, on screen. Manwath learners get live private video classes in IB PYP, MYP and DP and in IGCSE on the Cambridge or Edexcel side, taught by people who live in other Indian cities and keep IST hours. Since no IB or IGCSE school is confirmed close by, video is often the realistic way to find a specialist.

Do tutors visit homes in Manwath?+

No tutor knocks at a Manwath door; that service is limited to Gurugram and some Delhi NCR areas. What we mean by home tuition here is a laptop lesson from your own house, where the tutor teaches live and reads the working on a shared page, so nobody needs a ride on NH 61.

Is there an IB school in Manwath or Parbhani?+

Neither place showed one that we could verify; the schools we found follow the Maharashtra State Board or CBSE. The IB schools we can confirm lie in Pune, Hyderabad and Nagpur. Should a school say it is IB-authorised, request the record and compare it to the IB's own list.

How much does IB or IGCSE tuition cost?+

After the free trial we send a private written quote. The tutor and the course set the fee, not Manwath as a location, so Higher Level sciences sit above primary support, uncommon subjects above common ones, and the monthly total grows with weekly hours.

Can my child sit IB or IGCSE exams from Manwath?+

Registration must go through an authorised school or exam centre, either a place in another city or a private-candidate entry where the board permits; we do not handle it. After that, teaching and exam coaching happen with us online.

My child studies in Marathi or Urdu medium. Is that a problem?+

Yes, with patience. Academic English is the gap, meaning explanations, command words and data. A diagnostic lesson maps it, subject vocabulary grows weekly, and early targets stay small. Plan for a couple of terms, not a couple of weeks.

Which subjects are asked for most?+

Maths is first, followed by the three sciences. Trading families add Economics, Business and Accounting, and English writing support is wanted throughout. Marathi and Hindi are possible where school and session allow.

Do you help with the IA or Extended Essay?+

Guidance is fine and ghost-writing is not. A tutor can talk through topic, method, analysis and structure, but IB rules say what is submitted must be the student's own, so any request to draft coursework is refused.

What if power or internet fails?+

Ordinary broadband or a mobile link will do. A phone hotspot makes a handy spare, and if cuts are common in summer or monsoon months, tell us and we will pick calmer slots. Lessons that collapse badly are replaced without charge.

What happens in the free first lesson?+

A genuine half-hour or so on the topic your child has in front of them. Watch the tutor's clarity and speed; if the style is wrong we line up someone else, and the trial costs nothing whichever way it goes.

Should we choose Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE?+

The school or exam centre typically settles this, so go with its board. Cambridge is the more widespread in India; Edexcel adds a January sitting for some subjects. Share the board and code, and the lessons follow that specification.

Will Indian universities accept IB results?+

Mostly. AIU equivalence recognises the Diploma and many universities read IB grades, though medicine through NEET and engineering through JEE come with separate eligibility conditions worth checking early. Our help is academic, not admissions counselling.

When should we begin before exams?+

Starting six to nine months ahead of the final series feels comfortable, with lighter contact earlier. A Class 9 IGCSE child gains most from beginning with the course itself. When time is short, a dense holiday block can still help.

Do you teach younger children?+

Certainly. With PYP-age pupils we aim at reading, writing and number comfort in brief, cheerful sessions; with MYP students we cover subject ideas, writing to the criteria and organising the Personal Project. Small children generally cope with half an hour to three quarters.

How do I start?+

Drop a WhatsApp message to +91 7439 368 115 or an email to support@ibgram.com stating the class, board, subjects and aims. A tutor suggestion and a trial time follow, and no payment is asked for before you hold the written rate.
