IB and IGCSE Tutors and Online Home Tuition in Mangrol

Mangrol students who need a real specialist in the IB or Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE, rather than another general tutor, can have one at home in Hadoti: a teacher who has taught the exact course, privately, live on video. Tutors never travel to Mangrol, as house visits are kept for Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR.

  • A teacher who has coached the exact IB or IGCSE paper your child will sit
  • Strictly online: no tutor arrives in Mangrol, since in-person visits are kept for Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR
  • A free trial class, and rates are raised only after it
  • No ties to the IB, Cambridge, Pearson or the schools named on this page

IB & IGCSE in Mangrol

IB and IGCSE tuition when your child lives in Mangrol

Mangrol is a municipality and tehsil headquarters in Baran district, in the south-eastern Hadoti corner of Rajasthan at about 242 metres above sea level. At the 2001 census it had close to 21,800 residents and a literacy rate of 54 per cent, with a noticeable gap between men and women that local families and schools have been working to close. Two places nearby draw visitors: the Ramgarh crater, formed by a meteorite strike, and the eleventh-century Bhand Deva rock temple.

Everything about the local education culture points one way. Hadoti is Kota country, the coaching capital where lakhs of teenagers prepare for JEE and NEET, and Mangrol families usually think in terms of RBSE or CBSE followed by a Kota coaching year. A parent who searches for IB and IGCSE tutors in Mangrol is therefore doing something different on purpose: preparing a child for a boarding school, a Jaipur campus, an online international programme or study abroad.

We have not confirmed an IB or IGCSE school in Mangrol, Baran or Kota, and we name none as local. We offer online home tuition instead: a private specialist, one student, a live video class at home. No tutor travels to Mangrol, because in-person lessons exist only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR.

IB Gram has no link to the IB, Cambridge, Pearson or any school. Tutors teach and mark, but the Internal Assessment, Extended Essay, TOK essay and coursework stay entirely with the student.

At a glance

  • IB at PYP, MYP, DP and CP level, together with Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE
  • Private video classes at home, never a batch
  • A short written report after each class
  • A free trial before any rate is quoted
IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Mangrol school years

For a Mangrol child, the IB or IGCSE classroom will almost certainly be somewhere else, so each stage should be understood early. These notes describe the programmes and the gaps that students from RBSE or CBSE primaries tend to show.

PYPNursery-Class 5, ages 3-12

IB Primary Years Programme

Learning runs through themed inquiries lasting several weeks, with an Exhibition at the end that the child plans and presents. Help from a tutor is light and spoken: reading aloud, mental sums and asking the child to explain a reason.

A child who speaks Hindi or a Hadoti dialect at home picks up English fastest through daily talk and picture books, not worksheets.

MYPClass 6-10, ages 11-16

IB Middle Years Programme

Teachers grade each subject on four criteria, link topics to global contexts and finish the programme with a Personal Project. Students must show how they got to an answer.

Pupils moving from RBSE classrooms are often good at recall and new to arguing a case in writing.

DPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Diploma Programme

Students study six subjects over two years, half of them at Higher Level, together with Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS. The final result blends written papers in May or November with coursework completed along the way.

Diploma questions from Hadoti usually involve Maths, Physics, Chemistry and English A, for a student who has left for a Jaipur or boarding school at Class 11.

CPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Career-related Programme

A smaller route in which two Diploma subjects sit alongside a career-focused course and a reflective project. Very few schools in India offer it.

We almost never receive CP requests from Rajasthan's south-east; if one arrives, the support goes to the Diploma subjects within it.

Subject coverage

IB subjects we tutor

An RBSE or CBSE paper tends to reward the student who can write a whole chapter back. An IB or IGCSE paper rewards the one who does exactly what the command word says. For a Mangrol student, the tutor starts by finding which command words cause trouble, then builds each subject around them.

IB Maths Analysis & Approaches

HL / SL

Calculus, functions, vectors and proof. Rajasthan students trained for JEE are quick at technique and need practice explaining why a step is valid.

IB Maths Applications & Interpretation

HL / SL

Statistics, modelling and technology, suited to students bound for commerce, economics or design.

IB Physics

HL / SL

Mechanics, waves, fields and thermal physics. Units, significant figures and the data booklet decide many marks.

IB Chemistry

HL / SL

Moles and bonding feel familiar; equilibrium, energetics and organic mechanisms are examined through explanation, not recall.

IB Biology

HL / SL

Cells, genetics, ecology and physiology, with arid-zone and farmland ecology as natural local examples.

IB Economics

HL / SL

Diagrams tied to live news; mandi prices, coaching-economy spending in Kota and farm credit give rich commentary topics.

IB Business Management

HL / SL

Case-study papers and a research project; a grain-trading firm, a hostel business in Kota or a farm-input shop can be the organisation.

IB English A Language & Literature

HL / SL

Textual analysis, essays and an oral; Hindi-first writers benefit from structured English paragraph practice.

IB Computer Science

HL / SL

Algorithms, programming and a documented internal solution.

IB Environmental Systems & Societies

SL / HL

Water scarcity, soil and the impact crater landscape near Ramgarh give locally rooted investigation topics.

IB Geography

HL / SL

Resources, population and a fieldwork-based internal assessment on Hadoti's plateau and river valleys.

IB History

HL / SL

Source analysis and long essays; Rajput and Hadoti history are strong regional case studies.

IB Hindi A and Hindi B

HL / SL

Language courses where a Hindi-speaking home is an advantage; text types and spoken fluency decide marks.

Theory of Knowledge (TOK)

DP Core

Discussion coaching on knowledge claims and the exhibition, with every word written by the student.

IGCSE coverage

IGCSE subjects we tutor

The two IGCSE boards do not share a timetable. Cambridge papers are set in February-March, May-June and October-November, Edexcel papers in January, May-June and November. Private entrants from Mangrol must find a recognised centre, probably in Jaipur or Delhi, and should ask early.

IGCSE Mathematics 0580

Core / Extended

Extended reaches the top grades; most lost marks are unwritten working.

IGCSE Additional Mathematics 0606

Grade 10

Calculus and identities a year early, easing the move to IB Maths AA.

Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics A 4MA1

Foundation / Higher

Pearson phrases and orders questions differently, so its papers drive practice.

IGCSE Physics 0625

Core / Extended

Making a formula the subject, plotting and reading graphs, and the written paper that stands in for the practical.

IGCSE Chemistry 0620

Core / Extended

Mole sums, reaction rates, organic basics and ion tests.

IGCSE Biology 0610

Core / Extended

Inheritance, circulation in plants and humans, and long answers that need a clear order.

IGCSE Economics 0455

Grade 9-10

Markets and policy, tested through data and short articles.

IGCSE Computer Science 0478

Grade 9-10

Pseudocode, logic and Python.

IGCSE Business Studies 0450

Grade 9-10

Applying ideas to a named firm, with short finance sums.

IGCSE English as a Second Language 0510

Grade 9-10

Reading, writing, listening and speaking for students with Hindi at home.

IGCSE Hindi as a Second Language 0549

Grade 9-10

A compact paper where technique pays quickly.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Mangrol school timetables

A Mangrol class is always a video link between a single student and a tutor who lives somewhere else; nobody travels. Families choose only how the weeks are arranged.

A fixed evening class at home

A standing weekly appointment with one teacher, plus homework before the next call. It works for a child already on an international syllabus who needs a single subject strengthened.

  • One tutor all term
  • Course and level agreed first
  • Past papers marked weekly
  • Placed after the heat of the day

A run-up before moving schools

Intensive classes in the weeks before a child exchanges an RBSE or CBSE classroom for an IB or IGCSE one, covering academic English, what command words ask for and the subject that worries the family most.

  • Academic English
  • Command-word practice
  • Repair in the shakiest subject
  • A closing summary for parents

A pre-exam sprint

Additional classes close to mock exams and the May or November papers, given over to timed practice and the examiners' published mark schemes.

  • Two to four calls a week
  • Marked to official criteria
  • Specific feedback notes
  • Booked before Dussehra

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Mangrol

01

Mangrol's school landscape, Kota's shadow and the international gap

  • No confirmed IB or IGCSE school in Mangrol, Baran or Kota
  • Jaipur holds the nearest listed options
  • Families: traders, officials and bank staff, households with relatives abroad
  • Support is private tuition by video

Mangrol's schools follow the Rajasthan Board or CBSE, with Hindi-medium classrooms and a growing number of English-medium private schools. Literacy was 54 per cent in 2001, and the gap between men and women in that figure explains why so many families now invest in a daughter's schooling. Colleges in Baran and Kota, and the University of Kota, take most local students after Class 12.

Kota casts a long shadow. Its coaching institutes pull teenagers from across Hadoti and from other states, and families in Baran district often plan a Class 11 move there. IB and IGCSE are a different road: they sit with schools that teach internationally, and as far as we can verify there is none in Mangrol, Baran or Kota. The nearest listings we found are in Jaipur: Neerja Modi School in Mansarovar, listed for IGCSE and the IB Diploma, and Jayshree Periwal High School and Shanti Asiatic School, both listed for IB PYP. Please check current programmes and admissions directly.

The families who ask us about the IB are not the usual Kota-bound ones. They include grain and soybean traders who expect a child to study abroad, officials and bank staff whose postings will change, and relatives of people already settled in the UAE, Canada or Australia. They want portability and an English-medium route, and they worry about the gap.

We fill the gap with online tuition. A tutor matched to the course teaches your child at home, and nobody makes the journey from elsewhere.

02

Where do IB and IGCSE differ from RBSE and CBSE?

What a mark is for is the first difference. RBSE and CBSE examiners reward the textbook answer in the textbook's order. IB and IGCSE examiners reward what the student does with knowledge: reading a source critically, weighing two positions, planning a fair test, defending a result.

Pacing differs too. International courses carry internal assessments, coursework and practicals, so something is always due, rather than everything piling up before March.

Language is the third. Many Mangrol children use Hindi or a local dialect at home and meet English at school, and long written English is the least practised habit. Tutors show how an extended answer is built in each subject.

A fourth difference matters for Kota-minded families: JEE and NEET prepare you for multiple-choice speed, while IB wants explanation. Neither is better; they train different muscles.

03

Why does IB or IGCSE tuition cost what it does for a Mangrol family?

  • How advanced: Primary Years reading support through to HL Diploma sciences
  • How scarce: niche courses have fewer specialists
  • How seasoned: former examiners and long-serving Diploma teachers charge more
  • How often: weekly, or several times a week before exams
  • How timely: May and November diaries fill first

You will not find a tariff on this page. Two children in Mangrol can ask for help in the same subject and need quite different amounts of it, so the figure is worked out for each child and written down after the trial class.

Think of the quote as five dials: how advanced the course is, how scarce the subject specialist is, how seasoned the teacher is, how many classes a week you want and what time of year it is. Turn them all up for a Higher Level science in March and the number rises; turn them down for gentle reading support in the Primary Years and it falls.

Learning online from Mangrol removes a hidden cost altogether. Nobody budgets fuel to Baran, a bus ticket to Kota or a lost afternoon, and no teacher's journey is built into the rate.

Whatever you compare, ask three side questions: how easily is a tutor changed, do you get a written note after each class, and is a class repeated if the electricity fails?

04

Which route suits a Mangrol child: online lessons, Kota coaching, a local teacher or self-study?

Four doors are open. Kota coaching is the most famous model in India, but it is engineered for entrance exams, so a student who wants to learn IB Business or IGCSE Biology gets little from it. The local teacher who knows the family brings warmth and the wrong syllabus. A disciplined student can take on a pile of past papers alone and never learn what the mark scheme rewards. The remaining door is a private video class with someone who has taught the course.

Be clear-eyed about the line. Broadband in town is usually fine, but villages can be patchy, and summer demand trips the power. Keep a mobile hotspot and a charged laptop ready; if the picture fails, a tutor can carry on by voice with a shared document.

What home study cannot supply is company: a classmate sitting the same paper. After a month or so we can suggest a small online group or a study partner to rebuild some of that.

The table puts the four options next to each other.

The Mangrol calendar: loo, harvest, Dussehra and exam sittings

Summer decides a great deal here. April to June brings the loo, a dry wind that lifts temperatures into the mid-forties; afternoons are no use for study, and power is least reliable. Classes therefore move to the cooler evening, and a home inverter or hotspot should be sorted before May revision begins.

Farming sets the family clock. Winter crops come in during March and April, and soybean and other kharif crops in October. Parents who farm or trade grain have almost no spare hours in those weeks, so slots slide later and written notes replace calls.

Festivals punctuate the year. Kota's Dussehra fair is one of the best known in Rajasthan, Diwali follows within weeks, and Teej, Gangaur and Holi fall through spring and the monsoon. Winter evenings are cold but quiet, which makes December to February the steadiest period for lessons.

The two exam windows, around May and November, run through all this. November papers arrive soon after Dussehra and Diwali, so heavy revision belongs in September and the first week of October.

Beyond school: universities and routes open to a Mangrol IB or IGCSE student

Inside India, a completed IB Diploma is rated as Class 12 by the Association of Indian Universities, and CUET-UG is the main door into central universities. Someone with only an IGCSE has finished Grade 10, so the usual path is AS and A Level or the Diploma first.

Destinations within Rajasthan include the University of Kota, the University of Rajasthan, MNIT Jaipur, BITS Pilani, IIT Jodhpur, AIIMS Jodhpur and the National Law University at Jodhpur. Each handles foreign boards in its own way, so read the present admission notice before settling on Higher Level subjects.

A family eyeing engineering or medicine ought to read the JEE Main and NEET clauses on IB and IGCSE candidates as early as Class 10, because they can alter subject choices.

For study abroad, admissions offices in the UAE, Canada, Britain, Australia and the United States see IB and IGCSE transcripts every year. A tutor improves subject results; the applications and personal statements stay with the family.

07

Local project ideas for IB Maths and science students in Mangrol

There are two IB Maths courses and choosing well matters. Algebra, calculus and proof lie behind Analysis and Approaches, a natural fit for future engineers and physicists. Data, models and technology lie behind Applications and Interpretation, a natural fit for future economists and designers. One trial class usually settles the question.

The Maths exploration is a self-chosen investigation worth a fifth of the grade. In Mangrol, soybean prices across a season, the rim geometry of the Ramgarh crater or the pattern of summer power cuts would each give honest mathematics. Starting in the first term leaves time to refine the idea.

In the sciences, students trained for competitive exams seldom lack facts. What loses marks is the shape of the answer. The IB likes three beats: the principle, its use on the data supplied, then a conclusion. Tutors rehearse that rhythm until it is automatic.

Environmental Systems and Geography work on the meteorite crater, groundwater or crop systems suits this district. The investigation, from question to write-up, has to be the student's; a tutor can ask questions and hold a draft up against the criteria, and no more.

08

IGCSE for Mangrol students: tiers, boards and a sensible subject set

  • Aim for Extended if IB HL or A Level sciences might follow
  • Ask the school which board applies before booking
  • Additional Mathematics is solid groundwork for IB Maths AA
  • Private candidates should secure a centre early

A typical IGCSE candidate takes five to eight subjects across Grades 9 and 10, anchored by English, Maths and a science.

Because Core cannot reach the highest grades, a student who may want IB Higher Level or A Level sciences afterwards should aim at Extended.

Cambridge and Edexcel publish papers and set dates independently. Revision follows whichever board the student is actually entered with.

Private candidates should reserve a seat at a recognised centre well ahead; the nearest could be in Jaipur or Delhi.

Where we tutor

Mangrol and the places around it

Because classes run through a screen, the places listed here are about everyday routines, not teaching: shopping, appointments, the road a boarding student takes and the corners where signal fades.

Mangrol town

A municipality and tehsil headquarters of about 22,000 people in south-eastern Rajasthan, at 242 metres.

Mangrol main market

The commercial centre where grain, vegetables and farm supplies are traded.

Ramgarh crater

A meteorite impact site near the town, a landmark for school trips and geology projects.

Bhand Deva Temple

An eleventh-century rock temple nearby, drawing visitors and heritage students.

Baran town

The district headquarters, the usual place for courts, colleges and administrative work.

Kota

The Hadoti coaching capital, whose JEE and NEET culture shapes ambitions across Baran district.

Farm villages of the tehsil

Wheat, soybean and other Hadoti crops; harvest weeks claim family time and mobile coverage varies.

Jaipur route

The state capital, several hours away by road, with the nearest IB schools we could verify.

Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh border side

To the south-east, an alternative direction for relatives, trade and rail travel.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Mangrol

Mangrol itself

Few options: the town's schools follow RBSE or CBSE, and we found none teaching IB or IGCSE.

    Nearby: Baran and Kota

The district seat and the coaching capital. We could not confirm an IB or IGCSE school in either, so no school is named.

      Nearby: Jaipur

The state capital, several hours by road, with the closest listed IB options we could verify.

      • Neerja Modi School, Mansarovar, Jaipur
      • Jayshree Periwal High School, Chitrakoot, Jaipur
      • Shanti Asiatic School, Jaipur

Our enquiries turned up no IB or IGCSE course at a school in Mangrol, Baran or Kota, which is why no school is called local. Three Jaipur names appear below only because Rajasthan parents look at them, and every detail is the school's to confirm. IB Gram has no arrangement with them, nor with the IB, Cambridge or Pearson.

      How matching works

From first enquiry to a tutor who fits

      1. 01

        Describe the situation

Which school you are considering, the board, the subjects and the month of the exam. A WhatsApp message will do.

      2. 02

        Meet one proposed tutor

A single recommendation with a short background, not a pile of profiles.

      3. 03

        Sit a free class

A live video class on a real topic, with a parent welcome nearby.

      4. 04

        Check the written terms

Weekly time, hourly charge and first review date are sent to you on paper.

      5. 05

        Carry on or swap

A brief report closes each class, and a new tutor is only a request away.

      Why families choose us

What Mangrol parents tell us matters most

      Chosen by course code

A teacher for IB Economics HL is picked for that course, not for general commerce skills.

      Straight about the map

All lessons are online, and the nearest IB listings we could verify are in Jaipur.

      Heat and harvest planned for

Loo afternoons, soybean weeks and Dussehra are blocked out before slots are.

      Coaching, never ghost-writing

A tutor never drafts an IA, Extended Essay or any submitted piece.

      Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Mangrol: your questions answered

Is IB teaching really available if we live in Mangrol, close to Kota?+

Yes, since the class comes to the child through a screen. Where the specialist lives is immaterial; their record with your child's course is what counts. The family supplies a laptop, a quiet corner and a working connection. Visits to the house are confined to Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR, so none are offered in Mangrol.

Is there an IB or IGCSE school in Baran district or in Kota?+

We could not confirm one. Schools we found in Mangrol, Baran and Kota follow RBSE or CBSE, and Kota's reputation rests on entrance-exam coaching. Where an international school elsewhere is under consideration, ask it directly about present programmes and admission.

Could a tutor teach at our house instead?+

Mangrol is outside the area for house visits, which are kept for Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. What we arrange here is private tuition at home through a screen, with the same one-to-one attention and no road trip.

How do you price the lessons?+

The level, the subject, the programme, the tutor's experience and the weekly frequency each feed in; no public list exists. After the free class a brief written offer shows the hourly charge, the slot and the first review date.

My son might join a Jaipur school after Class 10. How early should we start?+

A few months before is plenty for a bridge: formal English, what each command word expects and the subject he finds hardest. If the school sets an entrance test we can rehearse it. Give us the school and class and we count back from his first day.

What can I choose from on the IB side?+

Maths comes in two flavours, Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation, and we teach both at HL and SL. Add the three sciences, Economics, Business Management, English A, Computer Science, Environmental Systems and Societies, Geography, History, Hindi and TOK coaching. Another subject? Quote its code and we will say honestly if we cannot staff it.

Do you support both Cambridge and Edexcel for IGCSE?+

We handle each. A child entered by Cambridge practises on Cambridge papers, and one entered by Edexcel on Edexcel papers, as the two word questions and allot marks differently. We cover Maths, Additional Maths, the sciences, Economics, Business Studies, Computer Science and English.

What happens in the trial class?+

It is an ordinary class, free of charge: your child and the proposed tutor tackle a topic from this term's syllabus while you listen. Money is not discussed. When the chemistry is wrong we introduce another tutor and give a second free class.

Can the tutor complete my daughter's IA for her?+

No. A tutor will explain the criteria, put questions that sharpen the plan and comment on whatever draft she has written. Her ideas, figures and words stay hers, which is what IB and Cambridge integrity rules require.

What if the power fails in a Rajasthan summer?+

May and June carry the risk. A hotspot, a charged laptop or an inverter handle most cases, and if the picture fails the tutor continues by voice with a shared document. A class lost entirely is rebooked, and evening slots avoid the hottest hours.

Can classes work around harvest and Dussehra?+

Yes, and we set them down before the first lesson. During harvest weeks and big festival days classes are shorter or paused, and heavy revision for a November paper is pushed into September and early October.

How does an IB course compare with Kota-style JEE preparation?+

They train different skills. JEE rewards speed and accuracy in multiple-choice problems; IB rewards explanation, written argument and sustained coursework. A student can handle both, though the habits differ, and a tutor helps the student switch between them.

Do you also teach younger children?+

Yes. In PYP the work is reading aloud, number games and finding words for ideas; in MYP it turns to criteria and the Personal Project. An early start softens the jump into Class 11.

What happens after IB or IGCSE?+

In India the Diploma counts as Class 12 with the Association of Indian Universities, and most central universities use CUET-UG; IGCSE leads to AS and A Level or the Diploma. JEE and NEET have separate rules. Abroad, universities in the UAE, Canada, Britain and Australia read both.

      How are tutors selected?+

Each tutor is vetted on degrees, on how lately they taught this very programme and on a sample class that we sit through. Everyone is based in India and keeps Indian hours. If the match fails, someone else steps in.

Does a school, the IB or Cambridge run IB Gram?+

It does not. IB Gram stands alone as a tutoring business, and the Jaipur schools mentioned are simply places that parents sometimes look into.

How can we get started today?+

Write to support@ibgram.com or WhatsApp +91 7439 368 115, giving the school, board, subject, level and exam sitting. A reply with a proposed tutor normally comes within one working day.
