IB & IGCSE in Lalitpur

IB and IGCSE study in Lalitpur, a Bundelkhand district town

Private tuition from home for an international curriculum is not something Lalitpur's tuition market has been built around. The town sits in the Bundelkhand corner of Uttar Pradesh, about 97 kilometres from Jhansi, and its school system runs on UP Board, CBSE and ICSE. A parent who has decided the IB Diploma or Cambridge IGCSE suits their child, perhaps after a job move, a plan to study abroad or simply a preference for analytical exams, quickly discovers that the classroom does not exist locally and has to be assembled another way.

The usual assembly looks like this. The child stays at a school the family knows, or is registered elsewhere, and a specialist teaches the IB or IGCSE course separately, every week, over video. Lessons are private and fixed in the timetable much like a home tutor's visit would be, which is why people here search for home tuition, and that search intent is what we answer. What changes is only the delivery: an online lesson, on a laptop, in your own room.

We have to be clear about what this is not. IB Gram sends tutors to homes only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR, so nobody will arrive at a Lalitpur address. For a household near the railway junction or out towards Talbehat, that has a practical upside. A tutor is chosen for subject strength, not for who happens to live within auto range, so a Higher Level Physics student is not settled with a general science teacher.

Our tutors coach and explain; they do not write Internal Assessments, Extended Essays, Theory of Knowledge essays or coursework. IB Gram is an independent service and has no affiliation with the International Baccalaureate, Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel or any school named on this page.

IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Lalitpur school years

In Lalitpur the programme names matter less than the gap they leave. Because no classroom locally runs them, each stage below comes with a note on what a tutor typically has to cover for a family living here.

PYPNursery to Class 5, ages 3-11

IB Primary Years Programme

Learning is organised around transdisciplinary themes and teacher-guided inquiry rather than a fixed set of subject textbooks, and the final year ends with the PYP Exhibition, a group inquiry the pupil presents to the school community.

Most Lalitpur primary pupils study in Hindi medium, so a PYP tutor spends early sessions on English reading stamina and on turning an inquiry question into a short written explanation.

MYPClass 6-10, ages 11-16

IB Middle Years Programme

Eight subject groups are assessed against published criteria rather than a single marks total, and a Personal Project in the last year asks the student to plan, make and reflect on something of their own choosing.

A Lalitpur family choosing MYP usually needs the criteria translated into plain language, since no neighbouring school is modelling what a top-band answer looks like.

DPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Diploma Programme

Students take six subjects, three at Higher Level and three at Standard, plus the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge and creativity, activity and service. External papers fall in May for most Indian schools, with some coursework marked by the school and moderated.

For a Lalitpur student registered through a school elsewhere, the weekly tutor is often the only teacher who explains Diploma content in real time, so subject depth outweighs everything else in the match.

CPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Career-related Programme

Two or more Diploma courses are combined with a career-related study, a reflective project and a personal and professional skills strand, aimed at students who want applied work alongside academics.

CP is very unusual in this part of Uttar Pradesh; where a family considers it, our tutors treat the chosen Diploma courses exactly as a full Diploma student's.

Subject coverage

IB subjects we tutor

Subject teaching for Lalitpur students is chosen on strength in the specific course, because the tutor's weekly hour may be the only structured instruction the student receives in it. Below is what each course typically involves for us.

IB Maths Analysis & Approaches

HL / SL

Algebra, functions, calculus and proof, with HL Paper 3 problem sets and an Exploration topic the student can research from home.

IB Maths Applications & Interpretation

HL / SL

Statistics, modelling and technology, built around confident graphing-calculator use and data the student can gather locally.

IB Physics

HL / SL

Mechanics through fields, working the data booklet until it is second nature and planning an investigation that needs only modest equipment.

IB Chemistry

HL / SL

Structure, energetics, kinetics and organic chemistry, with practical technique explained through video demonstration when a laboratory is out of reach.

IB Biology

HL / SL

Cells to ecosystems, with practice on data-based questions and on writing the tight extended responses examiners reward.

IB Economics

HL / SL

Diagram-led micro and macro, HL calculations, and commentaries drawn from real news, including agrarian and drought-affected Bundelkhand examples.

IB Business Management

HL / SL

Applying theory to an unseen case, and shaping the internal research around a real local enterprise the student can approach.

IB English A Language & Literature

HL / SL

Unseen-text analysis, comparative essays and rehearsing the Individual Oral until the student sounds like themselves.

IB Hindi A Literature

HL / SL

Close reading of set works and structured literary essays for students who want to be examined in their strongest language.

IB Computer Science

HL / SL

Programming logic, data structures and databases, aiming at an IA product that runs and is documented properly.

IB Psychology

HL / SL

Biological, cognitive and sociocultural approaches, with the studies and evaluation habits the essays call for.

IB Geography

HL / SL

Resource, hazard and population themes, using Betwa river and dam landscapes and dry-land farming as fieldwork material.

IB Environmental Systems & Societies

SL

Systems thinking applied to water stress, mining and power generation, subjects Bundelkhand students can observe first-hand.

Theory of Knowledge (TOK)

DP Core

Knowledge questions, the exhibition and the essay, with the tutor pushing the student to defend a view rather than recite one.

Extended Essay (EE)

DP Core

Choosing a researchable question, planning a timeline and referencing properly; the writing itself is always the student's.

IGCSE coverage

IGCSE subjects we tutor

IGCSE from Lalitpur usually means entering as a private candidate through an approved exam centre, so we cover syllabus content and the paper-by-paper technique. We match on board, code and tier, and we check the tutor has coached independent candidates before.

IGCSE Mathematics 0580

Core / Extended

Extended-tier problem solving, non-calculator fluency and the algebra that later supports IB Maths AA.

IGCSE Additional Mathematics 0606

Class 9-10

Calculus, trigonometry and functions taken early, for students eyeing Diploma HL Maths or engineering.

Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics A 4MA1

Foundation / Higher

Edexcel's own phrasing and paper structure, which differs enough from Cambridge to need separate practice.

IGCSE Physics 0625

Core / Extended

Equations, circuits, waves and thermal physics, with the alternative-to-practical paper trained as its own skill.

IGCSE Chemistry 0620

Core / Extended

Moles, bonding, reactivity and organic chemistry, plus qualitative analysis learned through demonstration.

IGCSE Biology 0610

Core / Extended

Cell biology, genetics, human physiology and ecology, with extended-writing practice on past questions.

IGCSE Combined and Coordinated Sciences

0653 / 0654

Three sciences kept moving together for a student who needs a manageable weekly plan.

IGCSE Economics 0455

Class 9-10

Definitions, diagrams and the evaluative paragraphs that separate mid grades from top ones.

IGCSE English as a Second Language 0510

Class 9-10

Reading, writing, listening and speaking for Hindi-medium students moving into an English-taught course.

IGCSE Business Studies 0450

Class 9-10

Applying terms to the case business printed on the paper, not reciting textbook lists.

IGCSE Computer Science 0478

Class 9-10

Trace tables, pseudocode and Python for the problem-solving paper.

IGCSE Hindi as a Second Language 0549

Class 9-10

For students who want a language grade on the certificate alongside the science and maths subjects.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Lalitpur school timetables

Three ways of working suit Lalitpur households. Which one fits depends on whether the child is enrolled at a school that teaches the curriculum, sits exams privately, or is preparing for a move.

Weekly live lessons with one tutor

A fixed weekly hour with the same tutor, on video with a shared whiteboard, worked past-paper questions and a short written note after each class.

  • Set slot that fits around school and power-cut patterns
  • One tutor who learns the student's habits and gaps
  • Second weekly hour easily added before mocks
  • Recordings are not required; notes are written for you instead

Tutoring beside a local school

The child continues at a UP Board, CBSE or ICSE school for daily routine and friends while the tutor teaches the international syllabus separately.

  • Keeps the family's settled daily rhythm
  • Lets a child sample IGCSE Maths or Sciences first
  • Avoids a costly early school change
  • Suits Class 8 to 10 students planning a later IB entry

Private-candidate preparation

For families registering through an approved exam centre, sessions are planned backwards from the paper dates and include a sober look at entry logistics.

  • Paper-by-paper timetable from the first week
  • Mark schemes and examiner reports used early
  • Parents get a plain-language progress note
  • Advice on picking a centre reachable from Lalitpur or Jhansi

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Lalitpur

01

Is there any IB or IGCSE school in Lalitpur?

  • No confirmed IB or IGCSE school in Lalitpur district
  • Nearest confirmed IB continuum school is in Bhopal
  • The largest options cluster is in Delhi NCR
  • A trial lesson tests the fit before any major decision

We could not confirm one. No school in Lalitpur district appears to us as an authorised IB World School or a Cambridge or Edexcel centre, and we would rather say so than list a CBSE school and hope nobody checks. Anyone who tells you otherwise should be asked for the school's IBO or Cambridge listing.

The practical consequence is that families here approach the curriculum from the outside. A student may stay at an existing UP Board, CBSE or ICSE school and take IGCSE subjects as a private candidate, or move to a boarding campus in another city for Classes 9 to 12. Either route needs preparation that is more thorough than in a city where a school handles registration, sets mocks and supplies teachers.

Jhansi, the regional centre, is worth checking directly because families often assume it is better served than it is. We did not find an IB or Cambridge campus we could vouch for there, so the nearest confirmed options are in Bhopal and, further north, in Delhi NCR.

For most Lalitpur households the sensible first step is not a move at all. It is a trial online lesson in the subject the child finds hardest, which reveals within an hour whether the IGCSE or IB approach suits them before the family commits to relocating or re-registering.

02

Which Lalitpur households ask about IB and IGCSE tuition?

The questions come from a fairly narrow set of families, and they are not the ones a big-city page would describe. The first group is government and public-sector staff posted to the district headquarters. A child who began IGCSE or MYP in another city cannot simply drop the syllabus because the parent has been transferred, and online tuition keeps the course continuous across the move.

A second group works in the district's thermal power and infrastructure projects, where engineers and managers often arrive from other states with children mid-syllabus. They frequently ask for Physics and Maths support first, because those are the subjects where a gap opens fastest.

Business and trading families form a third group. Lalitpur sits on a major north-south rail and highway line, and traders here think about their children studying outside India, where IB or IGCSE results are read easily by admissions offices. Jain business families, a visible community in the district, often add a strong interest in Maths and Commerce-linked subjects.

Finally there are families who simply want a wider syllabus. A parent who has watched a child struggle with rote-heavy exams sometimes tries IGCSE Maths or Sciences at Class 9, because the papers reward reasoning. Our advice to all four groups is the same: start with one subject, test it, then decide.

03

UP Board, CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE: what changes for a Lalitpur student?

Most Lalitpur schools teach the UP Board syllabus or CBSE, with a smaller number on ICSE. All three finish with a set of board papers that reward recall, tidy presentation and familiarity with prescribed textbooks. IGCSE and the IB ask for something different: they test whether a student can apply a concept to a situation they have not seen, and they credit method marks.

That difference shows up first in Maths and Science. A Lalitpur Class 10 student who scores well on board papers by memorising solved examples may find IGCSE Extended Maths uncomfortable, because questions arrive in unfamiliar wording. A tutor bridges this with worked examples and timed past papers rather than more textbook drills.

For university plans, the boards point in different directions. UP Board and CBSE keep the JEE, NEET and state entrance routes simple. IGCSE is a stepping stone to A Level or the IB Diploma, and the Diploma is accepted for direct entry abroad and, through equivalence and CUET-UG, into Indian universities.

There is also a language question. English-medium IGCSE and IB papers require sustained written English, and many Lalitpur students have spent years in Hindi medium. Our tutors budget time for vocabulary and paragraph structure alongside subject content, because marks are lost there before they are lost on the science.

04

What does IB and IGCSE tuition in Lalitpur cost, and why do quotes differ?

  • Subject and level set the base rate
  • Session length and weekly frequency change the monthly total
  • Late starts before an exam series need more sessions
  • No travel cost, since every lesson is online

There is no price list on this page, and that is deliberate. The fee for a Lalitpur student depends on a handful of things we can only judge after hearing the brief, and we put the figure in writing before the trial lesson so nothing is a surprise later.

Level and subject matter most. IB Higher Level Physics or Chemistry, IGCSE Additional Maths and Extended-tier sciences ask for scarcer specialists than Class 7 English does. Session length and weekly frequency come next, and so does how much the tutor has to build from scratch, which is often the case for a student without a classroom teacher behind them.

One line item does not exist here: travel. Since tutors join by video, there is no conveyance charge and no premium for reaching an outlying block such as Mahroni or Talbehat. Local tuition centres and independent teachers in Lalitpur can be cheaper for school-board subjects, and we say so, but they rarely offer IB or IGCSE syllabus knowledge.

Timing also changes what is charged. A family that starts eighteen months before an exam series can spread the work thinly. A family that arrives in February for a May paper needs more sessions squeezed into fewer weeks, and the plan and fee reflect that honestly, with no long contract if the student's plans change.

05

Online tutor, local coaching, private home tutor or self-study: which works in Lalitpur?

Each option has a real role, and for some subjects a local option is the better one. Where a school-board subject is the goal, a good teacher in Lalitpur, one who lives ten minutes away, is hard to beat on convenience. The gap opens only when the syllabus is IB or IGCSE.

Coaching centres in town are built around JEE, NEET and board-exam preparation. They run batches, not individual plans, and their materials follow NCERT and state textbooks. A student trying to master IGCSE Extended Maths or IB Chemistry would spend their hours on content the papers do not test.

A private tutor who visits the home can be excellent for a student's confidence, but few in a district town have taught IB or Cambridge papers, and none can stretch to every subject. Self-study works for a very disciplined student with a full set of past papers and a source of feedback, and it fails when nobody can tell the student why an answer lost marks.

Online one-to-one tuition fills the specific gap. The tutor is chosen for the syllabus, the lesson is private, and the family keeps a local school for everything else. Its limit is honest too: it needs a stable connection and a student who will work at the desk between sessions.

06

How do heat, festivals and the exam calendar shape a Lalitpur student's year?

Bundelkhand has a harsh summer, and it dictates when students can concentrate. May and June afternoons are too hot for productive study at home, and power supply can be unpredictable, so we place lessons early in the evening or on Sunday mornings during those months. The IB May exam session and the Cambridge May and June session fall squarely in the hottest weeks.

The monsoon arrives around late June and eases the heat but can disrupt connectivity in low-lying areas near the Betwa. We agree a backup slot in advance so one broken connection does not cost a week of preparation.

Festivals matter more than families expect. The Diwali and Chhath period in October and November takes out a fortnight of routine study, and Holi in March lands just before IB mock exams. Jain festivals such as Paryushan, observed in late summer, are respected in the timetable, since many Lalitpur students come from Jain families.

Planning backwards from the exam is the sound approach. IGCSE candidates should aim to finish the syllabus by January, leaving February for papers. IB Diploma students finish content around January of Class 12, with mocks in the winter and papers from late April into May.

07

Where do Lalitpur students go after IB or IGCSE?

  • IB Diploma is treated as equivalent to Class 12 for Indian admissions
  • IGCSE is Class 10 level and needs A Level, IB or a Class 11 course after it
  • Eligibility for JEE and NEET must be checked with the exam body each year
  • HL subject choice should follow the intended degree

Plans from Lalitpur tend to fall into three directions: an Indian university, a private Indian institution with a global tie-in, or study abroad. The IB Diploma and IGCSE lead into each differently, and it helps to know how before choosing subjects.

For Indian universities, an IB Diploma is treated as equivalent to Class 12 by the Association of Indian Universities, and CUET-UG accepts many IB students who register for it. IGCSE alone stops at Class 10 level, so students need A Level, the IB Diploma or a return to a Class 11 board course before applying. Engineering and medical entrance rules for IB students need checking each year, since eligibility conditions are updated.

Nearby destinations matter for practical reasons. Students from Lalitpur often look at Bundelkhand University and BIET in Jhansi, Delhi University colleges, and institutions in Bhopal, Gwalior and Sagar, all reachable by train. Delhi and Pune draw those seeking private universities that recognise international boards.

Abroad, a strong Diploma with solid HL Maths and sciences opens doors in the UK, Canada, Australia and the United States. The choice of HL subjects at Class 11 should follow the intended degree, not the other way round. We suggest a conversation about the course of study before subject choices are finalised.

08

IB Maths AA or AI, and the sciences: what does a Lalitpur tutor actually cover?

Maths is where most Lalitpur students ask for help first, and the choice between Analysis and Approaches and Applications and Interpretation deserves care. AA suits students heading towards engineering, physics or pure maths, with heavy algebra, calculus and proof. AI suits those aiming at economics, business, psychology or medicine, and leans on statistics, modelling and calculator work.

At Higher Level, either course is demanding, and the Exploration is a piece of writing that needs an idea early. We help a student narrow a topic they can research at home, discuss the mathematics, and check that the criteria are met, without writing any of it.

In Physics, Chemistry and Biology, the recurring difficulty is moving from memorised facts to explanation. A Lalitpur student accustomed to board-style answers must learn to use command terms such as justify, evaluate and predict. The tutor spends early sessions decoding those words with actual past questions.

Practical work is the other obstacle. Without a school laboratory, the Scientific Investigation must be planned around simple equipment or simulation data, and tutors teach the reasoning of experimental design so the student can produce a real, honest investigation.

09

Should a Lalitpur IGCSE student sit Core or Extended?

For a student who might move on to the IB Diploma, choose Extended. Core papers cap the grade at a C in Cambridge terms, and the Diploma HL courses assume knowledge that only Extended content covers. Choosing Core because a subject feels hard often closes a door the student later wants open.

The decision is best made after a diagnostic, not a guess. In the first weeks we give the student a short set of Extended-tier questions in the subject and look at where marks go. If method is sound and arithmetic is the problem, Extended is realistic. If foundations are missing, we rebuild them first.

Pearson Edexcel uses Foundation and Higher tiers in place of Core and Extended, with similar logic. Higher tier grades reach 9, and Foundation tops out at 5, which matters for students planning a Diploma or A Level after IGCSE.

It also helps to mix tiers by subject. A student might sit Extended in Maths and Physics, where the future course depends on it, and Core in a subject they will not carry forward. A sensible tutor advises this openly and explains the trade-off to the parents.

Where we tutor

Lalitpur localities and nearby blocks we support online

Since every lesson happens on video, the address only tells us about school timings, power supply and connectivity. This list helps a tutor plan around a student's real day.

Railway station and Station Road area

Lalitpur Junction keeps this belt busy with railway-linked households and traders, and evening internet is usually steadiest in the older, denser lanes.

Civil Lines and the district headquarters area

Government-service families cluster around the Collectorate, many on transfers, and often the ones asking about a curriculum that travels between postings.

Jhansi Road

The northern approach towards Jhansi, useful for families who already commute there for coaching or shopping.

Sagar Road

The southern exit on the highway towards Madhya Pradesh, with newer plots and households that look to Sagar and Bhopal as much as to Uttar Pradesh.

Bus stand and main market

The commercial heart of town, where many business families live above or near their shops and keep late working hours.

Talbehat

A town in the district on the Betwa side, known for its fort, with families who use online lessons to avoid the long road to Jhansi.

Mahroni

A block in the south of the district, with most study happening in the late evening after farm and shop work ends.

Deogarh

Known for its Gupta-era Dashavatara temple and Jain heritage, with a community that places high value on schooling.

Birdha and Pali

Smaller block towns where reliable data connectivity is the main scheduling question, so we test the line in the trial lesson.

Areas near the Matatila Dam side

Households on the Betwa reservoir belt where evening power cuts can shift a lesson, so a backup slot is agreed in advance.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Lalitpur

Lalitpur district

We could not confirm any school in Lalitpur district as an IB World School or a Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE centre, so we name none. Local schools follow UP Board, CBSE or ICSE, which means the international course is normally added through a tutor and a private exam entry.

    Nearby: Jhansi

About 97 kilometres north, Jhansi is the natural regional hub for Lalitpur families. We have not confirmed an IB or Cambridge school inside Jhansi either, so it matters mainly for travel, coaching and trains.

      Nearby: Bhopal

The Madhya Pradesh capital is the closest place with a confirmed full IB continuum alongside Cambridge IGCSE, and some Lalitpur families weigh it for a boarding move in Class 9 or 11.

      • Eastern Public School, Bhopal (IB PYP, MYP and Diploma Programme, plus Cambridge IGCSE at Class 9-10)

      Nearby: Gurugram and Delhi NCR

The largest cluster of IB and IGCSE campuses in northern India, reached from Lalitpur by direct trains on the Delhi line, and the only region where IB Gram also offers tutor visits at home.

      • Pathways World School, Aravali
      • The Shri Ram School, Aravali
      • GD Goenka World School

This is an independent tutoring service. The schools named below are simply the nearest ones we could check, they were not asked to take part, and no partnership or endorsement exists with them, the IBO, Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel. We have not confirmed any IB or IGCSE school in Lalitpur itself and will not pretend otherwise.

      Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Lalitpur: your questions answered

Do tutors come to my home in Lalitpur for IB or IGCSE lessons?+

No, no tutor visits homes in Lalitpur. Our home visits run only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. Lalitpur students get the same one-to-one, scheduled attention through a live video lesson at their own desk, with a shared whiteboard and worked past papers. Many parents find this closer to real home tuition than a batch at a centre.

Is there an IB school in Lalitpur?+

We could not confirm any IB World School in Lalitpur district. Local schools follow UP Board, CBSE or ICSE. The nearest school we can verify with a full IB continuum is in Bhopal, and the largest cluster is in Delhi NCR. Families who stay in Lalitpur usually add the IB or IGCSE syllabus through a tutor and, for exams, a private entry.

Can my child study IGCSE from Lalitpur without changing school?+

Yes, in most cases. A student can stay at their present school and prepare for Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE subjects with a tutor, then enter as a private candidate through an approved exam centre. The centre may be in another city, so the family should confirm the location and entry deadline early. We help you plan the timeline but do not handle registration.

How much does an IB or IGCSE tutor cost in Lalitpur?+

The fee depends on subject, level, weekly hours and how much of the course the tutor must build from scratch. HL sciences and Additional Maths tend to need scarcer specialists. Because lessons are online, there is no travel charge. We send the rate in writing before your child's free trial, so you can decide without pressure.

Which IB subjects do Lalitpur students ask for most?+

Maths comes first, both Analysis and Approaches and Applications and Interpretation, followed by Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics and English. Business Management and Computer Science follow. Students who are strong in Hindi sometimes take Hindi A as well. If your subject is unusual, ask, because we can often find a specialist.

Will a tutor write my child's IA, Extended Essay or TOK essay?+

No, and we would not want to. Tutors explain criteria, help narrow a workable question, suggest how to plan data collection and give honest feedback on drafts the student has written. The work submitted must be the student's own, and doing it for them would risk their result and their place.

Can you help with IB MYP or PYP as well as the Diploma?+

Yes, the whole continuum is covered. For PYP the focus is usually English reading and number sense. For MYP we explain the assessment criteria and support subjects such as Maths and Sciences, and we help students keep the Personal Project moving. The Diploma is a fraction of our work, though the most familiar part.

What is the difference between Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE?+

They are separate exam boards with different syllabus codes, paper formats and wording. Cambridge uses Core and Extended tiers for many subjects, while Edexcel uses Foundation and Higher. Both are recognised for progression to A Level or the IB. We match tutors to the board your child is actually sitting, because practice with the wrong style of question wastes hours.

Is the internet in Lalitpur reliable enough for online lessons?+

For most households in town, yes, and a phone hotspot works as a backup. Outlying blocks and the areas near the Betwa can be patchier, and monsoon or summer cuts happen. We test the connection in the trial lesson, agree a fallback slot in the plan, and rearrange a missed session rather than count it.

How do summer heat and festivals affect tuition timing?+

We move lessons to early evenings or Sunday mornings in May and June, when afternoons are too hot for concentration. Diwali, Chhath and Holi weeks are planned around, and Jain festivals such as Paryushan are respected. The plan is written with these dates in mind, so a busy fortnight does not derail the syllabus.

When should a Lalitpur student begin IB or IGCSE tutoring?+

Ideally at the start of the course: Class 9 for IGCSE and Class 11 for the IB Diploma. A student who begins earlier, in Class 8, can use the time to build English and Maths foundations. Starting in the final six months is possible but leaves little room, and the plan would then concentrate on exam technique.

My child studies in Hindi medium. Can they cope with IGCSE or IB?+

Many do, with preparation. The main challenge is written English, so the tutor builds vocabulary and paragraph structure alongside content. Subject knowledge is not lost, only expressed in a new language. Starting IGCSE English as a Second Language in parallel can help, and IB students can take a Hindi course for a strong grade.

Should we move to Bhopal or Delhi NCR for an IB school instead?+

It depends on the family. A move gives a full classroom and a cohort of peers, but it splits the household or uproots it, and it costs more. Many Lalitpur families try a term of online tuition first to test whether the child enjoys the style before deciding on a relocation or boarding.

Can IB or IGCSE students from Lalitpur still sit CUET or JEE?+

IB Diploma holders are treated as Class 12 equivalents for many Indian admissions, and CUET-UG registration is open to them. JEE and NEET eligibility conditions for IB and Cambridge students change, so check the current rules with the official bodies. We help students plan subject combinations with those conditions in mind.

What happens in the free trial lesson?+

Your child works through a real topic from their own syllabus with a shortlisted tutor, live on video. There is no fee and no obligation to continue. Afterwards the tutor sends a short note on strengths, gaps and a proposed plan, and you decide whether to go ahead or ask for a different tutor.

What if we do not like the tutor we are matched with?+

Tell us and we will suggest another. We check progress with parents every few weeks and change tutors if the pace, style or subject depth is not right. There is no penalty, and the student is not expected to push through with someone who is not helping them learn.

      How do I get started?+

Email support@ibgram.com or message +91 7439 368 115 on WhatsApp with the board, subject, level and your child's current school. We reply with a shortlist and free trial times, usually evenings. Nothing is charged until you have met the tutor and seen the written plan.
