IB and IGCSE Tutors and Online Home Tuition in Lakheri

Lakheri is the Hadoti cement town on the Delhi-Mumbai rail line, with Kota only 75 kilometres away and a coaching culture built around JEE and NEET. For an IB or IGCSE student wanting private tuition at home, the option is a live online lesson, because our tutors do not travel to Lakheri.

  • Each tutor is matched to the specific IB course or IGCSE specification your child follows
  • All Lakheri lessons are online, because house visits are confined to Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR
  • A free trial class comes first and the fee follows in writing
  • A written recap after every lesson, with no tie to any Lakheri school or board

IB & IGCSE in Lakheri

An IB and IGCSE option for a Hadoti railway town

Anyone who has travelled from Delhi to Mumbai by train has probably passed Lakheri without knowing it. The town in Bundi district grew around the ACC cement works, among the oldest in the country, set up in 1912 and 1913. It lies near the River Mej and its zigzag dam, among the Vindhyan hills, and each morning more than a thousand people board local trains from here to jobs in Kota and Jaipur.

Education in Lakheri is shaped by that rhythm. About fifteen schools are affiliated to CBSE or to the Rajasthan board, teaching in Hindi or English, and Maharaja Moolsingh College covers graduate studies. We looked for an IB or Cambridge school in the town and did not find one, so none is named. Kota, famed as a coaching capital, is also built around entrance exams rather than international curricula.

A family in Lakheri asking about IB or IGCSE is therefore unusual and usually well informed: a cement-company engineer or manager who has lived abroad, a railway or banking family expecting a transfer, or parents whose relatives overseas suggested a different route for a bright child. They need teaching that nothing in Lakheri or Kota currently provides.

Our answer is an online one. IB Gram tutors do not visit houses in Lakheri; home visits are limited to Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. The home tuition we offer here is a private live lesson on a laptop, one student with one teacher. We have no tie to the IB, Cambridge, Pearson or any school mentioned, and our tutors never write a student's assessed work.

At a glance

  • IB PYP, MYP, DP and CP, and Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE
  • A subject specialist without the train ride to Kota or Jaipur
  • Free first class, then a written fee
  • Short written recap after each lesson
  • Online only, with no tutor visits to Lakheri homes
IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Lakheri school years

Every stage of the IB can be followed from Lakheri on a screen. The cards below describe how the tutor's job shifts as a child moves from the primary years to the Diploma.

PYPNursery to Class 5 (ages 3 to 11)

IB Primary Years Programme

Young learners work through inquiry units that cross subject lines and are encouraged to ask their own questions. The programme closes with the Exhibition, a project the child owns from start to finish.

A child from a Hindi-speaking Lakheri home usually benefits most from English storytelling, phonics and mental maths in brief, light-hearted sessions that never feel like extra homework.

MYPClass 6 to 10 (ages 11 to 16)

IB Middle Years Programme

Work in each subject group is marked against criteria, and units are framed by global contexts. The Personal Project in the final year is a long independent task.

Pupils moving across from an RBSE or CBSE class commonly need to unlearn the habit of reproducing a textbook paragraph and instead explain, justify and reflect, which a tutor can model session by session.

DPClass 11 to 12 (ages 16 to 19)

IB Diploma Programme

Six subjects with three at Higher Level, plus Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS. Examinations fall in May and November, and internal assessments count towards the grade.

A Lakheri student on the Diploma will be enrolled in a school in Jaipur or elsewhere, and a home-based specialist keeps the difficult subjects, such as Physics HL, moving during holidays.

CPClass 11 to 12 (ages 16 to 19)

IB Career-related Programme

Two Diploma courses are combined with a career-related study, a reflective project and language development, for students who prefer a practical route.

CP is rare in India and we know of no school in or near Lakheri that offers it. We can tutor the academic components for a student enrolled elsewhere, and we say so frankly when another route is better.

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Lakheri

01

Does Lakheri or Kota have an IB or Cambridge school?

  • No confirmed IB or IGCSE school in Lakheri, Bundi or Kota
  • Jaipur holds the nearest confirmed schools
  • Moves usually happen at Class 9 or Class 11
  • Verify any claim on the IB or Cambridge website

Neither, on what we could confirm. In Lakheri the roughly fifteen schools are CBSE or Rajasthan-board institutions, with Hindi or English as the medium. Kota, 75 kilometres away, is globally known for coaching that prepares teenagers for JEE and NEET, and its school ecosystem is shaped around that. A single listing of a Cambridge-affiliated school turned up in Kota, but without a name we can verify, so we do not use it.

The nearest firmly confirmed group of IB and Cambridge schools is in Jaipur, around 180 kilometres north, including Sanskar School, Jayshree Periwal International School, Seedling International Academy and India International School. Families sometimes move to Jaipur or choose a hostel there for Class 9 or Class 11.

Because options are scarce, parents ought to be wary of claims. If a school calls itself an IB World School, ask for the authorisation record and compare it with the IB's own list. For Cambridge, the same is true of the Cambridge centre number.

A tutor on a screen is the one resource that does not depend on where a school stands, which is why online lessons make sense across Bundi district.

02

How do RBSE, CBSE, IGCSE and IB compare for a Lakheri student?

Rajasthan Board papers draw heavily on the prescribed textbooks, with Hindi as the usual medium. CBSE shares a national syllabus with more weight on application. IGCSE and IB raise the bar in a different way: they present unfamiliar data or a short source and ask the student to think in their own words.

The shift is as much about habits as about content. Learning to write a clear four-mark answer, to label a graph, to define a term precisely, to plan a long essay: these are trainable, and a tutor sees the weak habit the moment it appears on the shared page.

The destinations differ as well. RBSE and CBSE students in this region are steered towards JEE, NEET, CUET-UG and Rajasthan's own state exams, with Kota as the preparation hub. IGCSE leading to the Diploma or A Levels points to the UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore and Europe, and IB results are also usable in India via AIU equivalence.

Neither is better in the abstract. A child set on the JEE track may thrive in CBSE with Kota coaching, and we will say so in the free lesson if we think that is the wiser course.

03

How are IB and IGCSE tuition fees decided for Lakheri students?

We avoid a fixed price list because the fee follows the tutor and the course, not the postcode. After the free first class you receive a figure in writing, and nothing is charged before then.

The fee is shaped by three things. Level comes first: an IB Physics HL specialist costs more than a tutor for Class 6 science. Scarcity comes second, because Psychology, Design Technology or Environmental Systems teachers are fewer than Mathematics teachers. The third is hours, and a student who wants two sessions each week before an exam series will pay more than one meeting every fortnight.

Coaching in Kota is a different product: large halls built for JEE and NEET at a price per batch. A private specialist in Jaipur would be nearer in kind, though a Lakheri family would bear fares and a lost evening each time.

If you wish to limit spend, ask about a block of sessions aimed at a single weak unit, or about sharing a tutor with another student.

04

Online tuition, Kota-style coaching, a neighbourhood tutor or self-study: what suits a Lakheri child?

Kota's coaching model is excellent at one thing, which is drilling a very large number of entrance-style problems. It is not designed for a student writing an IB Chemistry internal assessment or an IGCSE Biology extended answer, and its pace can overwhelm a younger child.

A local tutor in the colony can be a wonderful support for homework and confidence, especially in primary years. Where they usually stop is the specification: they may not know what a command term means in IB Paper 2 or how a Cambridge mark scheme is applied.

Self-study works for the disciplined and fails quietly for everyone else. Free past papers are plentiful, but without feedback a student can repeat an error for months.

Online home tuition suits the gap. The tutor knows the paper, watches the working as it happens and fixes the exact line. The limits are honest ones: stable internet is needed, and a very young child can tire after thirty minutes.

05

How do heat, the monsoon and local festivals shape Lakheri's study year?

IB examinations run in May and November, and IGCSE series in May or June and October or November, with some Edexcel subjects having a January session. A student enrolled in a Jaipur school follows that school's mocks, and a private candidate follows the exam centre's.

Weather matters in a semi-arid Hadoti town. May and June exceed 40 degrees, so midday study is difficult and early morning or evening works better. The monsoon from late June to mid-September brings the Mej river to life and sometimes interrupts roads. Winters are mild and the best season for long study blocks.

The festival calendar sets other limits: Holi in spring, Teej and Gangaur for many families, Diwali in autumn. The Bundi region is known for its own cultural events, and relatives visit during them, so evenings can be crowded.

We plan lessons around all this. A weekly slot can move to the early morning in summer, and exam months can carry extra sessions.

06

Where can an IB or IGCSE student from Lakheri go after school?

Within India, IB Diploma holders can apply to universities that recognise AIU equivalence, and many private and some central universities take IB grades. Rajasthan's own institutions in Jaipur, Kota and Ajmer admit through state and national routes, so eligibility should be checked early.

Medicine and engineering need extra care. JEE Main and NEET have their own rules about subjects and board equivalence, and Higher Level choices made at sixteen can matter. CUET-UG applies to many central university courses. We can prepare the academic content, but we do not promise admission.

Overseas, families with Gulf, British, Canadian or Australian connections often shortlist those countries. UK universities read predicted IB points and A Level grades, Canadian and Australian ones accept both, and American colleges weigh the whole profile.

For cement-industry engineers' children, IB Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics AA lead naturally to materials, civil or chemical engineering degrees abroad, while commerce-minded students pair Economics with Mathematics AI.

07

How is IB Mathematics and the science sequence taught on screen?

  • Decide between Maths AA and AI with a tutor's advice
  • Working corrected live on a shared board
  • Data-booklet and command-term practice
  • Investigations coached but never written for the student

IB Mathematics comes in two courses. Analysis and Approaches covers algebra, functions, calculus and proof for future engineers and scientists. Applications and Interpretation emphasises data, modelling and technology for business and social science. The choice comes before Class 11, and we talk it through in the trial.

A digital whiteboard lets student and tutor write together on one page. The tutor can step in at the exact line where a bracket was dropped, and graphing-calculator keystrokes can be shown by sharing a screen.

In Physics, Chemistry and Biology the key skills are data analysis, units, command terms and the structure of the internal investigation. The question, method, data and write-up are the student's own work, and our tutors discuss method and error analysis without drafting any text.

Where a school's laboratory is basic, simulations and short demonstration videos fill gaps, and the tutor can propose simple home measurements that give real data to analyse.

08

Core, Extended and subject choice: planning IGCSE from Lakheri

Many IGCSE subjects offer Core and Extended papers. Core restricts the top grade, while Extended opens the whole scale, so students aiming for IB Mathematics, the sciences or A Levels should plan to take Extended in those subjects.

A candidate typically sits five to eight subjects. For Hadoti families a common mix is Mathematics, the three sciences, English, Business Studies or Accounting, Economics and Computer Science, plus Hindi where offered.

We teach both Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel. Their aims overlap, but paper layouts differ, and in some subjects so do coursework and practical rules. The syllabus code is confirmed with the school or exam centre before we plan a single lesson.

A strong IGCSE record is the best evidence of readiness for the Diploma or A Levels, and a patchy one shows exactly what must be repaired before Class 11.

Rural settlements where distances to any large school are long, so online lessons save hours.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Lakheri

Nearby: Jaipur

About 180 kilometres north, Jaipur is Rajasthan's largest hub of IB and Cambridge schools, and the city most Lakheri families consider for boarding or relocation. Local choice in Lakheri itself is limited.

  • Sanskar School, Sirsi Road
  • Jayshree Periwal International School
  • Seedling International Academy, Jawahar Nagar
  • India International School, Mansarovar

Nearby: Kota and Bundi

Kota is a coaching city for JEE and NEET and we could not confirm an IB or IGCSE school there. Bundi, the district seat, is a heritage town with schools on the CBSE and state patterns.

  • No confirmed IB or IGCSE school in Kota or Bundi; we name none.

In Lakheri itself: no confirmed IB or Cambridge school

The roughly fifteen schools we found follow CBSE or the Rajasthan board.

  • No confirmed IB or IGCSE school in Lakheri; we name none.

IB Gram works independently and has no link with the IB, Cambridge, Pearson or any school named above. Schools are shown purely as nearby context, so check each one's authorisation and current offering with it directly.

Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Lakheri: your questions answered

Can Lakheri students get IB or IGCSE tutoring?+

Yes, online. IB Gram tutors teach Lakheri students on live video, privately, in IB PYP, MYP, DP and Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE. They live elsewhere in India and teach in IST. With no confirmed IB or IGCSE school in Lakheri or Kota, a screen is often the quickest way to reach a specialist.

Will a tutor come to my home in Lakheri?+

No. Home visits are offered only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. For Lakheri, home tuition means online lessons: your child studies at their own desk while a tutor teaches live and watches the working on a shared page. Nobody has to travel to Kota or Jaipur.

Is there an IB school in Lakheri or Kota?+

We could not confirm one in either place. Lakheri has CBSE and Rajasthan-board schools, and Kota is built around coaching. The nearest confirmed IB and Cambridge schools are in Jaipur. If a school says it is IB-authorised, ask for the record and check it on the IB website.

What does IB or IGCSE tutoring cost?+

The fee is quoted privately and in writing after the free trial, because it depends on the tutor and the course, not on the town. Higher Level sciences cost more than primary support, scarce subjects more than common ones, and additional weekly sessions raise the monthly total.

Can my child take IB or IGCSE exams while living in Lakheri?+

Only through an authorised school or exam centre, which usually means enrolling in a school elsewhere or entering as a private candidate where the board allows. We do not register students. After registration, our tutors teach and coach online from home.

My child studies in Hindi medium. Can they manage IGCSE?+

Often yes, with preparation. The hard part is academic English: writing explanations, understanding command words and reading data. We start with a diagnostic lesson, build subject vocabulary and set modest early goals. Expect a term or two of steady effort rather than a few weeks.

Which subjects are asked for most?+

Mathematics leads, then Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Families from industrial and business backgrounds also ask for Economics, Business and Accounting, and English writing support is wanted at every level. Hindi is offered where the school and exam session allow.

Do you help with the IA or Extended Essay?+

We coach but never write. Tutors can help with choosing a topic, designing a method, analysing results and shaping structure. The submitted work must be the student's own under IB rules, so we decline any request to draft coursework.

What if the internet or power fails in summer?+

A good broadband or mobile link is enough. Keep a phone hotspot ready and tell us about regular outages in the hot weeks so we can plan safer times. A badly interrupted session is made up later at no extra cost.

What happens in the free first lesson?+

It is a real class of thirty to forty minutes on whatever your child is studying now. You and your child can judge the tutor's clarity and pace. If it does not suit, we offer a different tutor, and the trial is free either way.

Should we choose Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE?+

Usually the school or exam centre decides, so follow its board. Cambridge is the more common choice in India, and Edexcel has a January series in some subjects. Tell us the board and syllabus code and we teach to that specification.

Will Indian universities accept IB results?+

Generally yes. The IB Diploma is recognised through AIU equivalence, and many universities accept IB grades. Some routes, such as medicine through NEET and engineering through JEE, carry their own eligibility rules, so check early. We offer academic help rather than admission advice.

When should preparation begin?+

Six to nine months before the final series is comfortable, with lighter work earlier. For Class 9 IGCSE students, starting at the beginning of the course avoids a late scramble. If time is short, an intensive block over the summer break is possible.

Do you teach primary and middle-school pupils?+

Yes. PYP help builds reading, writing and number confidence in short friendly lessons. MYP support covers subject concepts, criteria-based writing and the Personal Project. Younger learners usually manage thirty to forty-five minutes at a time.

How do I start?+

Message us on WhatsApp at +91 7439 368 115 or email support@ibgram.com with the class, board, subjects and goals. We reply with a tutor suggestion and a free-lesson time. You pay nothing until you have seen the rate in writing.
