IB and IGCSE Tutors and Online Home Tuition in Kaithal

Anyone typing home tuition for an IB or IGCSE student in Kaithal is met with lists of generic tutors. Here the offer is narrower and more honest: a subject specialist teaches your child privately over live video, since nobody from IB Gram comes to homes in Haryana outside Gurugram, and Kaithal itself has no confirmed IB or Cambridge school.

View all tutors
  • Every tutor is chosen for the exact course code your child is studying
  • Lessons are live and online, and we state openly that no tutor visits Kaithal homes
  • Your first lesson is free and your rate arrives in writing before booking
  • We are independent of the IB, Cambridge, Pearson and every school mentioned

IB & IGCSE in Kaithal

Studying an international syllabus from a Haryana rice-belt town

Kaithal sits in the rice country of northern Haryana, a market town where families often mix agriculture, trade, government service and professional careers. Schooling here follows the Haryana board, CBSE and a few CISCE options. We looked for an authorised IB World School or a Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE centre in the town and found none we could confirm, and the nearby cities of Karnal and Panipat gave the same result.

Why would a Kaithal family still want IB or IGCSE lessons? Usually because the plan points outward: a child who will board in the Chandigarh tricity or Dehradun, a family that expects to relocate, someone returning from overseas with a child already in an international syllabus, or a student hoping for study abroad. In each case, somebody has to teach the syllabus while the local school cannot.

About the word home: IB Gram tutors do not travel to Kaithal, and in-person visits run only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. Online home tuition is what we provide, a private live lesson delivered to a laptop in your own house, at a time that leaves room for school, farm-season family duties and dinner.

We are an independent tutoring service and have no association with the IB, Cambridge, Pearson or any school on this page. Tutors coach and explain, but they never write a student's IA, Extended Essay, TOK essay or coursework.

At a glance

  • IB PYP, MYP, DP and CP, plus Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE
  • A specialist for the exact subject, not a general school-subject teacher
  • Free trial lesson and written rate before any commitment
  • Notes after every session so parents can follow progress
  • Live online only in Kaithal, with no visits to the home
IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Kaithal school years

Every IB stage can be followed by a Kaithal student online. The list below shows what each stage involves and the extra job a tutor takes on when no international school is nearby.

PYPNursery to Class 5, ages 3-11

IB Primary Years Programme

Children learn through themed units of inquiry and finish with a self-chosen Exhibition. There is no external paper, and the emphasis rests on questions, collaboration and communication.

Younger Kaithal children who follow PYP material usually do so through a relocation or distance plan, so tutors stress English fluency and confident number work in short, friendly sessions.

MYPClass 6-10, ages 11-16

IB Middle Years Programme

Subjects are assessed on criteria rather than a single score, and a Personal Project caps the final year. Students are expected to plan, reflect and explain their thinking, not just recall.

A student coming from a Haryana board or CBSE school needs the criteria decoded, then plenty of practice writing to them. Tutors guide the project timetable but leave the work itself to the student.

DPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Diploma Programme

Six subjects, Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS make up the Diploma. Externally marked papers are sat in May or November, and internal assessments are moderated by the IB.

Diploma students from Kaithal typically register with a school in another city or sit privately, so the online specialist for Maths, Physics or Chemistry is effectively their weekly teacher.

CPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Career-related Programme

Two or three DP courses are combined with career-related study, a reflective project and language work. It targets applied study and work routes.

CP is uncommon in India and unavailable in Kaithal as far as we know. We help with the academic courses and tell families frankly if another path suits the student better.

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Kaithal school timetables

Because tutors do not visit Kaithal, these three formats all run on screen, and they differ in group size and in when they suit the calendar.

Private online lessons from home

One student and one specialist, live on video, from the student's own study space. Tutors do not visit homes in Kaithal; home visits exist only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR.

  • Shared whiteboard and worksheets
  • Fixed weekly slot on Indian time
  • Progress note after each lesson

Pre-exam revision sprints

A short run of intensive sessions before the May or November IB papers or the IGCSE series.

  • Timed past papers with marking
  • Topic gaps flagged for parents
  • Scheduled around harvest and fog weeks

Shared lesson for two

Siblings or friends on the same course and level share one tutor, which cuts the cost for each family.

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Kaithal

01

Is there an IB or IGCSE school in Kaithal or nearby?

  • Kaithal schools follow the Haryana board, CBSE or CISCE
  • Nearest confirmed IB and Cambridge schools are in the Chandigarh tricity
  • Karnal has a Cambridge Primary school only
  • Private candidates must register with an authorised centre

Not one we can confirm. The IB's school directory and Cambridge's listings did not point us to any authorised campus in Kaithal, and a look at Karnal and Panipat found only a Cambridge Primary school, which does not cover IGCSE. We prefer to say so than to invent a list.

The nearest confirmed options sit in the Chandigarh tricity. That is a long journey from Kaithal, so families either consider boarding there, move for a few years, or take the slower route of studying an IB or IGCSE syllabus through online lessons while staying at a local school and registering as private candidates.

The families searching for this are varied. Some have a parent posted abroad, some run businesses with plans to settle their children overseas, and others are returning after years elsewhere. Their child's syllabus moves regardless of the town, and someone competent must teach it.

Ask any school for its affiliation details and check them on the official board site. Names, boards and authorisations change, and a local advertisement is never enough.

02

How do Haryana board, CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE and IB differ?

The boards test different abilities. Haryana Board papers draw largely on the prescribed textbook, CBSE brings more application and case-style questions, and ICSE expects full, well-written answers. IGCSE and IB push further, asking students to interpret data, argue a case and justify each step.

A student crossing from the Haryana board finds the largest gap in language and humanities. Writing a structured paragraph in response to a command word is a learnable skill, but it is rarely drilled in a textbook-led classroom. Maths and science are easier to bridge, though written reasoning still counts.

For competitive exams in India, a CBSE route with focused coaching is often the more direct road. For universities abroad, IGCSE followed by IB or A Levels usually fits better. Each has strengths, and we will say plainly which we think suits your child.

Changing streams late is harder. Joining IGCSE at Class 9 is smoother than jumping into the Diploma in Class 11, since the Diploma assumes familiarity with international-style questions.

03

What determines the price of IB and IGCSE tuition for a Kaithal student?

  • Tutor level and course rarity shape the rate
  • Weekly hours and exam timing change the total
  • Rate confirmed in writing before you book
  • First lesson free with no obligation

We give no published price, since the rate is tied to the tutor and the course, and not to Kaithal. What you receive is a written rate before booking, after a first lesson that costs nothing.

Level is the first driver: higher-level IB courses ask more of a tutor than middle-school maths. Availability is next, because rare subjects and languages have fewer qualified teachers. Weekly hours and the closeness of an exam session add to the picture, as intensive blocks require more preparation.

Comparing with a local tuition batch is not fair to either side. A batch divides one teacher among many students and does not cover the IB or IGCSE mark scheme. A more meaningful comparison is a private specialist in Chandigarh or Delhi, where a family would also carry travel and time costs.

If money is a limit, tell us early. A short block on one troublesome topic, or a shared lesson for two students, keeps the expense clear and in proportion.

04

Should a Kaithal student choose online tuition, local coaching or self-study?

In most cases, live one-to-one online lessons are the only way to reach a teacher who has actually taught the IB or IGCSE course. Local coaching classes focus on Haryana board, JEE and NEET, and a self-study plan is hard to sustain over two demanding years.

There are cases where self-study works. A disciplined Class 10 student can prepare for IGCSE Mathematics with past papers and mark schemes, although mistakes go uncorrected. In the Diploma, where internal assessments and command terms matter, expert guidance prevents small errors becoming habits.

Distance also plays a role. A trip to a larger city for a weekly lesson eats a whole evening, whereas an online session takes an hour and leaves the rest free for homework.

Combining options is common: a nearby class for board subjects and online lessons for international ones. Just keep the weekly load reasonable, because sleep counts as revision.

05

How do harvest, fog and exam sessions shape the Kaithal calendar?

Kaithal's year follows the fields. Wheat is harvested around April, paddy is transplanted in June and July, and the rice harvest lands in October and November, exactly when the IB November session and the October or November IGCSE series approach.

October and November also bring smoky air across north India after crop burning, and December and January add dense fog. Schools may change timings and students catch colds, so we build slack into the plan and lean on online lessons that never depend on the road.

Summer heat in May and June is intense, with power demand rising. Lessons work best early in the morning or after sunset, and we advise a backup power source for the laptop and router in the hottest weeks.

The practical plan is to finish core content by early September, use mid-October to mid-November for timed mock papers, and keep December to January for lighter revision and catching up on internal assessments.

06

Where can Kaithal students study after IB or IGCSE?

  • The AIU equates the IB Diploma with Class 12
  • CUET-UG, JEE Main and NEET have their own rules
  • IGCSE leads to A Levels, IB or CBSE Class 11
  • Read each university's current eligibility notice

The Association of Indian Universities treats the IB Diploma as equal to the Class 12 certificate, so Indian degree programmes are open. Every university sets its own subject and score conditions, and they should be read directly.

CUET-UG accepts IB and IGCSE background students within its registration rules. JEE Main and NEET have specific requirements on mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, and those should be checked in each year's bulletin. Do not rely on last year's notice.

Nearby, students often consider Kurukshetra University, NIT Kurukshetra, Panjab University and Chandigarh institutions, along with Delhi University and Ashoka University near Sonipat. Others look at the UK, Canada, Germany and Singapore, where entry conditions vary a great deal.

IGCSE graduates first choose A Levels, the IB Diploma or CBSE Class 11, so the real decision appears in Class 9 or 10.

07

What do IB Mathematics AA and AI and the sciences ask of a student?

Analysis and Approaches is for students who enjoy algebra, functions and proof and plan to read mathematics, engineering or physical sciences. Applications and Interpretation is a different course, stronger on statistics, modelling and technology, and suited to economics, psychology, business or design.

Physics, Chemistry and Biology share the same shape: core content, options, an internal investigation and three papers. Physics needs careful units and problem strategy, Chemistry rewards steady calculation practice and mechanism knowledge, and Biology values accurate terms and concise explanations.

Online lessons use a digital board for worked problems, followed by a marked set to redo. The internal investigation is the student's own experiment, and tutors help only with question design, data handling and interpretation.

For students far from a well-equipped laboratory, this coaching gives a clearer picture of what examiners expect from the practical component.

08

How do IGCSE Core and Extended tiers work?

In tiered subjects, Core papers cap the grade at C and Extended papers can reach A star. A student who wants IB Maths or a science stream should aim for Extended from the start.

A typical IGCSE package has English, Mathematics, one or two sciences, a language and a few electives such as Economics, Business Studies or Computer Science. Where offered, Agriculture or Environmental Management can suit students from a farming region.

Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel differ in paper structure and coursework, so we confirm the specification code before we begin and aim revision at the correct mark scheme.

Private candidates need an authorised centre, often in Chandigarh or Delhi, and must register before the deadline. We explain the steps but cannot register anyone on your behalf.

Where we tutor

Kaithal areas and nearby towns we reach online

Kaithal's neighbourhoods are best described by the roads that link them. We do not travel, but these areas and neighbouring towns supply the enquiries we receive, with a note on school-day practicalities.

Karnal Road corridor

The eastern approach towards Karnal, where many families have relatives and compare schools in that city.

Pehowa Road corridor

The route towards Pehowa and Kurukshetra, popular with families whose ties lie in that direction.

Kalayat Road

The western side, close to the temple town of Kalayat. Farming-linked households sometimes ask for lessons after the day's work ends.

Cheeka Road

The northern route towards Cheeka and the Punjab border, where Punjabi and Haryanvi languages both feature at home.

Civil Lines area

A settled part of town with government-service families, often the first to look at international pathways.

Old town and the main bazaar

Busy in the day with market traffic, so a fixed evening lesson keeps the routine stable.

Pundri

A nearby town where rice trade and farming dominate; online lessons avoid a long trip to Kaithal or Karnal.

Kalayat

A pilgrimage and market town in the district with limited school options, making remote teaching practical.

Rajound and Siwan

Small towns and villages within the district where broadband can vary, so we test the connection during the trial.

Guhla

A border-side town near Punjab, from which some families look towards Patiala and Chandigarh for schooling.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Kaithal

Nearby: Chandigarh tricity

The closest region with confirmed IB and Cambridge authorisation, roughly three hours from Kaithal by road. Some families consider boarding or relocating, while others study online from home.

  • Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26
  • Firststeps School, Sector 26
  • Oakridge International School, Mohali

Nearby: Karnal and Panipat

The two nearest larger Haryana cities also lack a confirmed IB or IGCSE school, apart from a Cambridge Primary school in Karnal. Local options for older students are therefore limited.

  • No IB or IGCSE school confirmed in Karnal or Panipat; we name none.

In Kaithal itself

Kaithal's schools follow the Haryana board, CBSE or CISCE, and we could not confirm any IB or Cambridge programme in the district.

  • No confirmed IB or Cambridge school in Kaithal; we name none.

IB Gram operates on its own and is not affiliated with the IB, Cambridge, Pearson or any school named. Schools appear only as nearby context and only where published information shows an IB or Cambridge programme; please confirm authorisation with the school.

Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Kaithal: your questions answered

Are there IB and IGCSE tutors for Kaithal students?+

Yes, through live online lessons. IB Gram tutors teach over video from elsewhere in India and are matched to your child's course and level. Nobody visits homes in Kaithal. Send the subject and exam session and we will suggest a tutor and offer a free first lesson in Indian Standard Time.

Can a tutor come to my house in Kaithal?+

No. In-person home tuition is offered only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. In Kaithal, home tuition means an online private lesson taken at your own desk: one student, one specialist, live video and a shared whiteboard. Many families find it easier than travelling to Karnal or Chandigarh.

Is there an IB school in Kaithal?+

We could not confirm one. Kaithal's schools follow the Haryana board, CBSE or CISCE, and nearby Karnal and Panipat also showed no confirmed IB or IGCSE school. The nearest confirmed options are in the Chandigarh tricity. Always check the IB and Cambridge directories yourself for the latest status.

How much does IB or IGCSE tuition cost for Kaithal?+

We publish no price list, because the rate depends on the tutor, the course level, subject rarity and weekly hours, not on the town. You receive a written rate before booking, and the first lesson is free, so you can judge the teaching before you spend anything.

Which IB subjects do you support?+

Most Diploma subjects, including Mathematics AA and AI, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Business Management, Environmental Systems, English, Hindi and Computer Science. PYP and MYP are supported as well. Tell us the level and we will confirm a suitable tutor exists before proposing any schedule.

Can my child take IGCSE privately from Kaithal?+

Yes, though a private candidate must register through an authorised Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel centre, usually in a larger city, before the deadline. We teach the syllabus and prepare for the papers. Ask the centre early about practical and coursework arrangements, which vary by subject.

Will you write my child's IA or Extended Essay?+

No. Tutors coach, explain and give feedback, but never write an IA, Extended Essay, TOK essay or coursework. Those pieces must be the student's own. A tutor can help with planning, structure and understanding the criteria, which is safe and useful help.

What is the difference between IB and IGCSE?+

IGCSE is usually taken at the end of Class 10, while the IB Diploma is a two-year programme for Classes 11 and 12. Many students take IGCSE first, then move to IB or A Levels. Both use English-medium, structured questions quite unlike a textbook-recall paper.

Do fog and harvest season disrupt lessons?+

Rarely, because lessons run online. Fog cannot stop a video call, though power cuts and busy harvest weeks may. We schedule around these, keep a light plan in the heaviest weeks, and reschedule without penalty if the family is unavailable and tells us in advance.

Is the IB Diploma accepted in India?+

Yes, the Association of Indian Universities treats the Diploma as Class 12 equivalent. Individual universities and courses may add subject conditions, and CUET-UG, JEE Main and NEET have separate rules. Check each current notice, and ask us if you would like help reading one.

Can a student in a Haryana board school take IB lessons?+

Yes, alongside a normal school timetable, sitting exams as a private candidate. The load is heavy, so we plan a weekly rhythm that protects sleep and board-exam months. Some families do this in Class 9 and 10 as a bridge before the Diploma.

How long does matching a tutor take?+

Usually a few days after we have your course, level and available times. Mathematics and Physics are quicker than rare subjects such as Psychology HL. If no suitable tutor exists, we will say so instead of assigning someone unfit.

What internet connection is needed?+

An ordinary broadband line or a steady 4G signal is enough. We test audio and video during the free lesson and suggest a backup hotspot. Villages within the district sometimes have weaker signals, so tell us your area and we will plan around it.

Do you offer a free trial?+

Yes. The first lesson is free and uses your child's real material, not a sales script. If you continue, we confirm the rate and weekly schedule in writing first. Nothing is charged before you agree, and you can change tutors if the fit is wrong.

How do we start from Kaithal?+

Message +91 7439 368 115 on WhatsApp or email ibgram24@gmail.com with the course, level, school and exam session. We reply with a suggested tutor and a trial time in IST. Enquiring is free, and you decide afterwards whether to carry on.
