Tutoring
IGCSE Additional Mathematics 0606 online tutor — India (remote)
Online teaching for Cambridge Additional Mathematics, the Year 11 paper that decides whether a student can take Maths AA HL in the Diploma.
Role Overview
0606 is taught in a squeezed slot at most schools, often by a teacher covering it on top of a full timetable. It introduces calculus, logarithms, binomial expansion and kinematics that 0580 never touches, and students who fall behind in term one rarely catch up without help.
Job Description
The course must be taught ahead of the school timetable so that revision is genuinely revision.
Calculus and kinematics are where students stall, usually because the algebra underneath is not fast enough yet.
Students taking 0606 are overwhelmingly heading for AA HL, so the teaching should point at what the Diploma will assume.
All teaching on this role is online, from your own device and connection. Families expect a shared whiteboard, screen share and written working they can keep afterwards, not a camera pointed at a notebook.
Online classes pay you 70% of the fee every month, with no first-month split and no joining fee. You set the fee, we publish it unchanged, and payouts land on the 1st of each month with an itemised statement.
Responsibilities
- Run ahead of the school timetable from the start of the engagement.
- Drill algebraic fluency as a prerequisite rather than assuming it.
- Mark full past papers to the mark scheme and review the method marks lost.
- Plan each session around the student's current school unit rather than a syllabus order of your own.
- Set and publish your own fee, and decline any student who is not a fit.
- Report progress to the family at the review points agreed when the engagement starts.
- Teach from a quiet space with a stable connection, and send written working after each session.
Requirements
- 0606 to full paper standard, including calculus, logarithms and kinematics.
- Cambridge mark scheme conventions, especially method and accuracy marks.
- A clear view of the 0606 to AA HL transition.
- A degree in the subject or a closely related one. Teaching experience counts, but subject knowledge is checked first.
- Verified government ID and at least one credential we can confirm with the issuing institution.
- Two references we can contact, at least one from a school, college or family you have taught.
- A quiet room, a connection that holds a video call, and a device that handles screen share and a writing tablet.
Nice To Have
- Experience teaching AA HL, so Year 11 teaching points forward correctly.
- Experience with the specific school's internal assessment calendar.
- Availability for a longer weekend slot in the eight weeks before mocks.
Benefits
- You set your own fee and we publish it unchanged, so there is no negotiation after you have taught.
- Students are matched to you by programme, subject and level before you accept.
- No joining fee, no subscription and no exclusivity - teach elsewhere as well.
- Monthly payouts on the 1st with an itemised statement.
- Teach from anywhere, in the hours you have told us you are available.
