Tutoring
IB DP Spanish and French B online tutor — India (remote)
Online Group 2 teaching for Diploma students across India: Spanish or French B, the five themes, and the individual oral.
Role Overview
Indian schools often have one Group 2 teacher for an entire cohort, which means almost no individual speaking practice. That is exactly what the assessment measures. Regular online conversation with proper correction is the highest-value thing a Language B student can buy.
Job Description
Every session should run substantially in the target language from the first month, including the correction.
The individual oral uses a visual stimulus tied to a theme and needs genuine unrehearsed practice with follow-up questions.
Paper 1 is a written task in a specified text type, where register and conventions carry marks that grammar alone does not.
All teaching on this role is online, from your own device and connection. Families expect a shared whiteboard, screen share and written working they can keep afterwards, not a camera pointed at a notebook.
Online classes pay you 70% of the fee every month, with no first-month split and no joining fee. You set the fee, we publish it unchanged, and payouts land on the 1st of each month with an itemised statement.
Responsibilities
- Teach in the target language and correct in it.
- Run timed individual oral practice with unseen stimuli.
- Teach text-type conventions and register explicitly for Paper 1.
- Plan each session around the student's current school unit rather than a syllabus order of your own.
- Set and publish your own fee, and decline any student who is not a fit.
- Report progress to the family at the review points agreed when the engagement starts.
- Teach from a quiet space with a stable connection, and send written working after each session.
Requirements
- Near-native or native Spanish or French, with the IB Language B assessment model.
- The five prescribed themes and the examined text types.
- The discipline to keep sessions in the target language rather than defaulting to English.
- A degree in the subject or a closely related one. Teaching experience counts, but subject knowledge is checked first.
- Verified government ID and at least one credential we can confirm with the issuing institution.
- Two references we can contact, at least one from a school, college or family you have taught.
- A quiet room, a connection that holds a video call, and a device that handles screen share and a writing tablet.
Nice To Have
- DELE or DELF examining experience, or a second Group 2 language.
- Experience with the specific school's internal assessment calendar.
- Availability for a longer weekend slot in the eight weeks before mocks.
Benefits
- You set your own fee and we publish it unchanged, so there is no negotiation after you have taught.
- Students are matched to you by programme, subject and level before you accept.
- No joining fee, no subscription and no exclusivity - teach elsewhere as well.
- Monthly payouts on the 1st with an itemised statement.
- Teach from anywhere, in the hours you have told us you are available.
