Online is where Physics teaching is strongest, because the work is diagram-heavy and benefits from a shared whiteboard the student can keep. This role suits a tutor with the full HL course and the discipline to teach uncertainty treatment properly rather than skipping it.
Job Description
The teaching weight is mechanics, fields and the HL extensions, with error propagation and graph linearisation running throughout.
Paper 3 is a data-analysis paper and needs its own practice, not an afterthought in the final month.
Students come from every Indian city and several time zones abroad, so you set the hours you will teach and we match inside them.
All teaching on this role is online, from your own device and connection. Families expect a shared whiteboard, screen share and written working they can keep afterwards, not a camera pointed at a notebook.
Online classes pay you 70% of the fee every month, with no first-month split and no joining fee. You set the fee, we publish it unchanged, and payouts land on the 1st of each month with an itemised statement.
Responsibilities
- Produce written worked solutions the student keeps after each session.
- Set Paper 3 data-analysis practice from DP1 onwards.
- Support IA design and evaluation against the five criteria.
- Plan each session around the student's current school unit rather than a syllabus order of your own.
- Set and publish your own fee, and decline any student who is not a fit.
- Report progress to the family at the review points agreed when the engagement starts.
- Teach from a quiet space with a stable connection, and send written working after each session.
Requirements
- Full HL Physics plus one option taught to exam standard.
- Uncertainty, error propagation and graph linearisation to IB conventions.
- A writing tablet or equivalent, because physics cannot be taught by talking alone.
- A degree in the subject or a closely related one. Teaching experience counts, but subject knowledge is checked first.
- Verified government ID and at least one credential we can confirm with the issuing institution.
- Two references we can contact, at least one from a school, college or family you have taught.
- A quiet room, a connection that holds a video call, and a device that handles screen share and a writing tablet.

- Experience teaching the same student group across multiple time zones.
- Experience with the specific school's internal assessment calendar.
- Availability for a longer weekend slot in the eight weeks before mocks.
