Higher Level Analysis and Approaches taught at home across South Delhi, for Diploma students at the international schools clustered between Vasant Vihar and Chanakyapuri.
Role Overview
South Delhi carries the oldest IB cohort in the country, and the students who book this role are usually aiming at engineering or economics courses abroad where a 6 or 7 in AA HL is the entry condition. The teaching is accordingly uncompromising: no skipping Paper 3, no leaving the IA until DP2.
Job Description
Expect students across several schools in the diplomatic belt, each with different mock calendars, so the teaching plan is built per student rather than per cohort.
The hardest content for these students is usually the HL-only calculus, complex numbers and proof, sitting on top of algebra that was never fully secure before DP1.
Traffic between Vasant Vihar and Greater Kailash at 5pm is the real constraint on this role. Tutors who take it should be honest about how many sessions an evening they can actually reach.
This is in-person teaching at the student's home. You list the areas you can genuinely reach and we only send you requests inside Vasant Vihar, Shanti Niketan, Anand Niketan, Westend, Hauz Khas, Panchsheel Park, Greater Kailash and Defence Colony. Declining a location, a society or a timing costs you nothing and needs no explanation.
The first month's fee for each new student is split 50-50. That is our one-time charge for finding the family, arranging the demo and setting up the match. From the second month you keep 100% of the fee for as long as you teach that student, which works out at roughly 98% of a two-year engagement. Payouts land on the 1st of each month with an itemised statement.
Responsibilities
- Set an algebra diagnostic in the first session and share the result with the family in writing.
- Work to the student's own school's mock dates rather than a generic calendar.
- Keep the IA moving to a written timetable from the middle of DP1.
- Plan each session around the student's current school unit rather than a syllabus order of your own.
- Set and publish your own fee, and decline any student who is not a fit.
- Report progress to the family at the review points agreed when the engagement starts.
- Keep agreed session times and give at least 24 hours' notice through IB Gram if a session has to move.
Requirements
- The full AA HL course including Paper 3 and at least one option topic taught to exam standard.
- Mathematics IA supervision against the current criteria.
- A realistic plan for South Delhi travel, because three homes in one evening is rarely possible.
- A degree in the subject or a closely related one. Teaching experience counts, but subject knowledge is checked first.
- Verified government ID and at least one credential we can confirm with the issuing institution.
- Two references we can contact, at least one from a school, college or family you have taught.
- Reliable travel to the listed areas at the times you have offered, in real traffic.

- Experience preparing students for university admissions tests alongside the Diploma.
- Experience with the specific school's internal assessment calendar.
- Availability for a longer weekend slot in the eight weeks before mocks.
