IB MYP Home Tutors in India for MYP 4 and MYP 5

The last two Middle Years Programme years are where a student quietly decides how hard the Diploma Programme is going to feel. Home tuition in MYP 4 and MYP 5 works on the extended mathematics decision, the Personal Project, and the writing and planning habits that DP1 simply assumes a student already has.

MYP 4 and MYP 5 Home Tutors Across India

IB MYP home tutors in India teach the Middle Years Programme at your own dining table, and in MYP 4 and MYP 5 that home tuition has one job: make DP1 survivable. These are the years when schools split mathematics into standard and extended, when the Personal Project lands in MYP 5, and when a student's criterion scores start predicting something. The MYP runs five years, MYP 1 to MYP 5, roughly ages 11 to 16, across eight subject groups. Every subject is marked against four criteria, A to D, each scored 0 to 8. There is no single national MYP examination in India, so nobody outside the school is going to tell you where your child stands. A home tutor working weekly is often the first person who does.

Matching

How does a MYP 4 or MYP 5 request in India become a home tutor shortlist?

Start with the school's own evidence. Not your impression of how the term went, but the criterion breakdown: which of A, B, C and D your child scores well on, and which one keeps coming back low. A student sitting at 7 out of 8 on Knowing and understanding and 3 on Investigating patterns has a very specific problem, and it is not that they are bad at mathematics. Send that, plus the school's MYP 5 deadline calendar if you have one, and the two or three units that went badly. What happens next is deliberately boring. IB Gram asks about the board, the subject, the year group, whether the school streams mathematics into standard and extended, the school calendar, your locality and the evenings that are genuinely free after school and activities. It then shortlists tutors whose profiles are verified and whose experience matches that description rather than the general idea of an IB tutor. A demo or trial session can be arranged before you commit to anything, and if the fit is wrong after two or three sessions you can ask for a different match without an argument. The MYP 4 and MYP 5 detail matters more than families expect. A tutor who has taught only Diploma Programme classes will often teach a fifteen-year-old as though the criteria did not exist, and a tutor whose experience stops at MYP 3 may not see the extended mathematics decision coming at all. Say which of the two you need, in the first message. Be honest in the brief about time as well. If the Personal Project is due this term and your child's week is already full, a tutor who arrives planning to add two hours of homework will make the term worse rather than better.

1. Send the criterion breakdown from the last report, not a summary of it

2. Name the year precisely: MYP 4 or MYP 5, and the subject

3. Say whether the school streams standard and extended mathematics, and which stream your child is in

4. Give two workable weekday evenings and your locality, so travel is realistic

5. Book a trial session, then review the fit after three home sessions

MYP 4 and MYP 5: the two years that set how hard the Diploma Programme feels

The Middle Years Programme runs five years, MYP 1 to MYP 5, roughly ages 11 to 16, across eight subject groups. Every subject is assessed against four criteria, labelled A to D, each scored out of 8. Those four add up to a total out of 32, and the school converts that total into a final grade from 1 to 7 using IB grade boundaries. No percentages anywhere. A parent reading an MYP report looking for marks out of 100 will misread the entire document. Two of the five years carry projects. The Community Project comes in MYP 3 or MYP 4, and the Personal Project comes in MYP 5. MYP eAssessment in MYP 5, which is on-screen examinations plus ePortfolios, is optional, and each school decides for itself whether to offer it. There is no single national MYP examination here, which is exactly why MYP 4 and MYP 5 feel low-stakes to a fifteen-year-old, and why DP1 lands so hard on students who spent them coasting. What sits on the other side is a two-year Diploma Programme, DP1 and DP2: six subjects drawn from six groups, three or four taken at Higher Level (HL) with 240 recommended teaching hours each, and the rest at Standard Level (SL) at 150 hours. Every subject is graded 1 to 7. Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and the Extended Essay (EE) combine for up to 3 more points, so the maximum is 45 and 24 points is the minimum for the diploma, subject to the IB's failing conditions. Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) has to be completed alongside all of it. Families who book IB MYP home tutors in India for these two years are usually buying a runway rather than a rescue. Diploma examinations run in May and November, and schools here overwhelmingly enter candidates for the May session, which fits an Indian academic year running roughly April to March. May results are released in early July. Work backwards from that and MYP 5 stops looking distant.

Subjects

Standard or extended mathematics in MYP 4 and MYP 5, and what each one closes off

MYP Mathematics is assessed on four criteria: A Knowing and understanding, B Investigating patterns, C Communicating, and D Applying mathematics in real-life contexts, each scored out of 8. Schools commonly split MYP 4 and MYP 5 mathematics into standard and extended. Extended covers additional topics, and those additional topics are what prepare a student for DP Mathematics Analysis and Approaches. So a decision a school often asks a fourteen-year-old to make in one short conversation has a consequence two years out. DP Mathematics comes as two subjects, each available at HL and SL. Analysis and Approaches (AA) is algebraic and proof-heavy. Applications and Interpretation (AI) is built on modelling and statistics, with technology used throughout. Students heading towards engineering or economics degrees are often advised towards AA, although the right choice depends on the degree and on the student, and the school's DP coordinator makes the final placement. A home tutor's job in MYP 4 is to gather evidence for that decision rather than campaign for one side of it. Can the student hold an algebraic argument over four or five lines without losing a sign? Do they enjoy the pattern-finding work in criterion B, or do they only ever want the formula? Standard mathematics taken by a student who would have coped with extended can close off an AA route that a degree later asks for. Extended pushed on a student already struggling with criterion C produces two miserable years and a worse MYP grade. The same logic runs through the other subjects. IB Physics, IB Chemistry and IB Biology reward students who can explain a mechanism, not only calculate a number, and that habit is slow to build. IB Economics rewards precise definitions. IB English A rewards students who read beyond the set texts. A home tutor who works only on this fortnight's unit test is not preparing anyone for DP1, whatever the unit test scores look like.

Criterion A Knowing and understanding, B Investigating patterns, C Communicating, D Applying mathematics

Extended mathematics covers additional topics that lead towards DP Mathematics Analysis and Approaches

Analysis and Approaches is algebraic and proof-heavy; Applications and Interpretation is modelling-led

The school's DP coordinator makes the final placement, not the family or the tutor

Sciences and English A reward explanation, and that habit takes two years to build

Local coverage

IB MYP home tutors in India: what MYP 4 and MYP 5 look like region by region

Coverage matters here because the mathematics stream decision and the Personal Project happen in the same months everywhere, so evening slots get scarce at the same time. In Delhi NCR that means South Delhi, Vasant Kunj, Chanakyapuri and Dwarka on one side, and Gurugram (Gurgaon), Golf Course Road, Noida, Sector 128 Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad on the other. An IB MYP home tutor in Delhi who lives in Noida and teaches in Gurugram will not hold a six o'clock Tuesday slot through a whole term. Evening traffic across that crossing can stretch a short trip badly. In the Mumbai Metropolitan Region the pattern is vertical rather than horizontal. Bandra, Juhu, Andheri, Powai, Worli, Lower Parel and Malabar Hill sit close together on a map and far apart in practice, and Navi Mumbai, Vashi, Thane and Kharghar are a separate commute entirely. An IB MYP home tutor in Mumbai usually works one corridor. Ask which one before you ask anything else. Bengaluru splits the same way: Whitefield, Sarjapur Road and Electronic City in one direction, Indiranagar, Koramangala, HSR Layout, Jayanagar and Kanakapura Road in another, Hebbal and Yelahanka to the north. An IB MYP home tutor in Bangalore living in Jayanagar will offer you a Saturday morning for Whitefield, not a Wednesday evening. In Hyderabad the international school families cluster around Gachibowli, HITEC City, Madhapur, Kondapur, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, the Financial District, Kokapet and Secunderabad, and an IB MYP home tutor in Hyderabad covering Gachibowli and Kondapur can often hold two evenings a week. Pune runs along Koregaon Park, Kalyani Nagar, Baner, Balewadi, Hinjewadi, Kharadi, Viman Nagar, Aundh and Wakad, and an IB MYP home tutor in Pune based in Kharadi reaches Viman Nagar easily and Hinjewadi rarely. Outside those clusters the supply of IB MYP home tutors in India thins quickly. An IB MYP home tutor in Chennai, in Kolkata or in Ahmedabad exists, but the pool for one subject at MYP 5 is small, and a search for an MYP home tutor near me may return nobody who has taught criterion B in extended mathematics. That is the point at which MYP home tuition across India stops being a local question.

The MYP 5 school year in India: Personal Project deadlines and DP subject selection

The school calendar does most of the deciding. An Indian academic year running roughly April to March puts the MYP 5 Personal Project deadlines, the DP subject selection forms and the final MYP reports inside the same handful of months, and those are also the months when families travel for the winter break. Schools such as Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Oberoi International School, Ecole Mondiale World School, Pathways World School, Stonehill International School, Indus International School, Oakridge International School, Mahindra International School, Good Shepherd International School and The International School Bangalore each run their own calendar, and no two of them are identical. IB Gram is an independent platform and is not affiliated with any school named here, the International Baccalaureate, Cambridge International Education or Pearson Edexcel. What international schools in India generally expect of an MYP 5 student is more than the student expects of themselves. Criterion-assessed tasks across eight subject groups, unit deadlines that do not move, a Personal Project supervisor to meet, and a subject selection decision the DP coordinator will ask the family to confirm. A student who has floated through MYP 3 on ability alone meets all of that in one year. Ask the school three things early, and ask them in writing. Which term the Personal Project report is due. Whether the school offers MYP eAssessment and, if so, in which subjects. And when the DP subject selection conversation happens, because the standard against extended mathematics decision is usually settled before that meeting rather than during it. Home tuition should be planned around those dates rather than around a fixed weekly habit that ignores them. A home tutor who does not ask for the school calendar in the first session will collide with it by the third. If the school reports at the end of each term, that report is the natural review point for the home tutor arrangement too.

Modes

Home, online or hybrid for MYP 4 and MYP 5 in India?

A home tutor sits beside a fifteen-year-old and sees what a screen hides: a diagram drawn too small, working abandoned halfway down the page, a phone face-down but alive. At MYP 4 and MYP 5, when a student is old enough to be left alone and not yet disciplined enough to deserve it, that presence is worth more than it will be in DP2. Home sessions also show the tutor the actual study space, which is quite often the real problem. Online tutoring wins on supply. If your child needs extended mathematics taught by someone who has walked students into AA HL, and nobody within a sensible drive has done that, an online specialist in another city is the better teacher, and the better teacher beats the closer one at this stage. Online works less well for a student who needs supervision more than instruction, and at fourteen a good many of them do. Hybrid is what most families using IB MYP home tutors in India settle into by the second term: one home visit a week for the long written session and the Personal Project check-in, plus one shorter online session midweek for a specific criterion or a piece of returned feedback. It protects the slot when traffic, monsoon or a school event kills the visit, and it keeps the rhythm when the tutor travels. The honest limit is this. A hybrid week only works if the two sessions have separate jobs. Two near-identical sessions in two different formats confuse a fourteen-year-old and waste an hour a week. Decide which session owns the written work and which owns the questioning, write it down, and tell the student which is which so they arrive prepared for the right one.

Home sessions catch abandoned working, cramped diagrams and a phone kept nearby

Online reaches an extended mathematics specialist your own locality may not have

Hybrid: one home visit for long written work, one short online criterion session

Give each session in a hybrid week a different job, in writing

Monsoon and school events break single-format weeks more often than families expect

Which MYP 4 and MYP 5 arrangement actually works in India?

There are four ways to get MYP 4 and MYP 5 taught, and the trade-off that decides between them is almost always supply against presence. A tutor in the room catches more at this age. A specialist elsewhere knows the extended mathematics route better. A neighbourhood centre costs less per hour and gives a student someone to argue with. Pick the one that fixes your child's weak criterion, then check that it survives a weekday evening.

Which MYP 4 and MYP 5 arrangement actually works in India?
What mattersA tutor who travels to your homeAn online tutor anywhere in IndiaA tuition centre in your neighbourhoodA specialist in another city, online
Seeing the working, not just the answerStrongest: the tutor watches lines being written and stops a wrong method mid-sentenceWorkable with a document camera or scanned work, but always a step behindDepends on batch size; individual working is rarely watched line by lineSame limits as any online lesson, offset by a sharper reading of the error
Advice on standard against extended mathematicsGood, if this tutor has taught the extended topics and seen students enter AAWider choice of tutors who have actually walked students into AA at Higher LevelUsually teaches whichever stream the school has already placed the student inBest informed on what extended closes off, though never in the room to see it
Personal Project support inside the rulesEasy to keep honest: short check-ins on the plan and the process journalWorks well for questioning a plan; harder to confirm whose work is whoseGroup settings blur ownership, which is the wrong risk on this taskFine for research and referencing skills; the school supervisor still owns the project
Holding a weekday evening slot in Indian citiesDepends on corridor: a nearby tutor holds it, one across the city does notMost reliable of the four; no traffic, no gate entry, no monsoonFixed timings you travel to, which costs the student study time each wayReliable, but check the tutor's own city timings and school holiday dates
Peer discussion for a fourteen-year-oldNone; one-to-one only, which some students at this age find isolatingNone in a one-to-one session unless a small group is deliberately arrangedStrongest: classmates arguing about a method is genuinely useful at MYP 4None at all; this is the trade you accept in return for subject depth
Cost structureCharged per session, with the tutor's travel time built into the ratePer session and usually without travel, so shorter sessions stay practicalLowest per hour, because the cost is shared across the whole batchPer session, and specialists in scarce subjects are priced accordingly
Trial before committingA demo session can be arranged, and you meet the person at your doorQuick to arrange; judge the questioning rather than the slidesUsually a demo class, which shows you the format more than the teachingMatters most here, because you will never meet this tutor in person
Continuity into DP1Good if the tutor also teaches the Diploma Programme; ask before MYP 5 endsEasy to continue through a house move or a change of cityBatches reform each year, so the teacher in front of the room often changesStrong continuity, and often the same person through DP1 and DP2
Verification

How do you check a tutor who says they teach MYP 4 and MYP 5 criteria?

A verified profile is a floor, not a verdict. IB Gram checks a profile before it goes live: identity, the qualifications claimed, and the programmes and subjects the tutor says they teach. What no platform can see is whether this particular person will hold the attention of your particular fifteen-year-old at seven on a Wednesday evening. You find that out in the trial, and only in the trial. Three questions separate an MYP 5 tutor from a general tutor. First, ask them to name the four MYP mathematics criteria and then say which one your child's report shows as weak. Second, ask what extended mathematics covers that standard does not, and why that matters for DP Mathematics Analysis and Approaches. Third, ask what they will refuse to do on the Personal Project. A tutor who answers the third question quickly and firmly is the one to book. Then do your own checks, because they are yours to do and nobody else will. Meet the tutor at the first home visit rather than handling it by message. Keep home lessons in a shared part of the house with the door open. Ask for a plan for the term in writing after session three rather than before, so it is built on what the tutor has seen rather than on your description of the problem. And ask the school's MYP coordinator whether they notice any change by the next reporting cycle. Be wary of anyone who promises a grade jump, quotes a success rate, or offers to look over the Personal Project report before submission. No tutor can guarantee a grade, and no honest tutor goes near that document.

Profiles are checked for identity, qualifications claimed and programmes actually taught

Keep home lessons in a shared room with the door open

Ask for a term plan after session three, built on evidence

What should MYP 4 and MYP 5 home tuition in India actually build?

Four things, and none of them is next week's unit test: writing that argues rather than asserts, mathematical working a stranger can follow, the habit of reading a criterion descriptor before starting a task, and the ability to carry one piece of work across three weeks without being chased. Those four are what DP1 assumes a student already has on day one. Take the writing first. The Diploma Programme asks for extended prose in almost every group, and the students who struggle are rarely the ones who do not know the content. They are the ones who write three sentences where the criterion asked for an argument. An MYP 5 home tutor should be marking the student's own paragraph against the descriptor in front of them, out loud, most weeks. Not correcting it quietly and handing it back clean. Marking it, saying why, then making them rewrite one paragraph. Second, working. Criterion C is Communicating, and it is the criterion students trained on speed and final answers lose most often. The fix is unglamorous: the tutor declines to accept an answer without the lines that produced it, for a whole term, until the student stops resenting it and starts doing it unprompted. Third, planning, which the Personal Project in MYP 5 tests for real. It is the student's own work from start to finish, and a tutor's role is to ask questions about the plan, teach research and referencing as general skills, and then get out of the way. What a good home tutor does here is protect the calendar: a short fortnightly check that the process journal is being kept, that the goal has not quietly tripled in size, and that nobody is planning to write the report in the last four days. Most Personal Projects are not lost to ability. They are lost to a month that turned out to have no spare evenings in it. And fourth, independence: if a student still needs IB MYP home tutors in India to tell them what to revise once DP1 starts, the MYP 5 tuition did not work.

Writing that argues against a descriptor, not three asserted sentences

Working a stranger can follow, which is criterion C Communicating

Reading the criterion descriptor before starting, on every single task

Carrying one piece of work across three weeks without being chased

A fortnightly check that the process journal is genuinely being kept

Progress across MYP 4 and MYP 5, and when MYP tutoring should stop

Progress in the MYP is slower to see than progress on an exam course, because the thing being measured is a criterion score out of 8 and it moves in whole points. A student stuck on 3 for Investigating patterns does not reach 6 in a month. A realistic first target is one criterion moving one point by the next reporting cycle, with the home tutor able to show you the specific piece of work where it happened and explain what changed in it. So give a home tuition arrangement a term rather than a fortnight. What you should see inside the first month is different in kind: the student explaining in their own words what a criterion is asking for, homework being started earlier in the week, fewer arguments about it at home. Those are the leading signs. The grade is the lagging one. Now the part most pages leave out. MYP tutoring should stop when the student can do those four things without help, when the reason you started has actually been fixed, or when the tutoring has quietly become a reason not to ask the class teacher. Three unbroken years of tuition from MYP 3 into DP1 produces a student who is excellent at being taught and not yet able to work alone, which is a worse position to enter the Diploma Programme in than a gap or two. A tutor who never raises stopping is not doing the whole job. And there is the case where the answer is no tutor at all. One bad unit, a term disrupted by illness, a teacher change mid-year: these look like subject problems and usually are not. Talk to the MYP coordinator first. If the school's own answer fixes it, you have saved a year of evenings and your child has kept them.

One criterion moving one point by the next reporting cycle is realistic

Leading signs: earlier starts, fewer arguments, the student explaining the criterion

Stop when the student can plan and revise without being told to

Unbroken tuition from MYP 3 into DP1 builds dependence, not independence

Talk to the MYP coordinator before hiring anyone at all

Starting MYP 4 or MYP 5 home tuition in India before the Personal Project lands

Gather three documents before you send anything. The most recent report with the criterion breakdown for each subject. The school's term calendar with the Personal Project deadlines marked on it. And one piece of your child's own recent work that you thought was weak. That third document tells a tutor more than the other two put together, because it shows the error rather than describing it. Then decide the constraint honestly. Which two evenings are genuinely free after school, sport and travel? Availability is subject to tutor availability and depends on the level and the schedule you need, and a slot that only exists on paper collapses by week three. If Tuesday and Friday are the truth, say Tuesday and Friday, and say what time the student actually gets home. The first session with IB MYP home tutors in India should not be a lesson. It should be a diagnosis: the tutor reading that weak piece of work with the student, asking why each step was taken, and finishing with two or three sentences about what they believe is actually wrong. If you are handed a syllabus plan instead, that tutor has not looked at your child yet. After that the shape is simple enough to hold for a year. One weekly home session with a written focus agreed in advance. Work set between sessions that takes less time than the session itself. And a review conversation at the end of each term in which somebody is allowed to say that this has done its job and can now stop.

Bring the latest report with the criterion breakdown for every subject

Bring the term calendar with Personal Project deadlines marked on it

Bring one recent piece of work you thought was weak

Name two evenings that are genuinely free, not theoretically free

Expect a diagnosis in session one, not a syllabus plan

FAQs

IB tutoring FAQs

Does a student really need a tutor in MYP 4, or can this wait until DP1?+

Waiting until DP1 means starting the hardest two years with the gaps still in place. MYP 4 is the cheapest year to fix working, writing and planning, because nothing is riding on it yet and a student is still allowed to be slow at something. But a tutor is not automatically the answer. If the report shows one weak criterion in one subject and the class teacher has a plan for it, follow the school's plan for a term and book a home tutor only if nothing moves.

Should we choose standard or extended mathematics in MYP 4?+

Decide on evidence rather than ambition. Extended covers additional topics that prepare a student for DP Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, so choosing standard can close off an AA route that an engineering or economics degree may later expect. Look at the criterion scores. A student holding criterion B Investigating patterns and criterion C Communicating at a solid level usually copes with extended. A student scoring well only on Knowing and understanding often does not. The school's DP coordinator makes the final placement, so raise it with them early.

How much time does the Personal Project in MYP 5 actually take?+

More than the timetable suggests, and the time goes into places students do not expect. The Personal Project comes in MYP 5, and what eats the term is not the product but the process journal, the supervisor meetings and the written report. Students underestimate the report every single year. Spread across the months the school allows, it is manageable in short regular sittings. Compressed into a final fortnight, it collides with unit deadlines and DP subject selection at once.

Can a home tutor help with the Personal Project without breaking the rules?+

Yes, but inside a narrow boundary. A home tutor may ask questions about the goal, teach research and referencing as general skills, discuss how a process journal is kept, and help the student build a realistic schedule. What a tutor must not do is choose the topic, draft any part of the report, edit the student's text or supply content for it. The Personal Project is the student's own work and the school supervisor oversees it. A tutor offering to review the report before submission should be declined.

Will an IB MYP home tutor travel to Whitefield in Bengaluru or Gachibowli in Hyderabad on a weekday evening?+

Often yes, provided the tutor already lives on that side of the city. Home visits in Bengaluru and Hyderabad are decided by corridor rather than by distance on a map. A tutor in Koramangala may cover HSR Layout and Sarjapur Road comfortably and treat Whitefield as a weekend trip, while in Hyderabad a tutor around Kondapur will hold Gachibowli and Madhapur slots easily. Evening traffic on the longer crossings can stretch a short trip badly, so offer two possible evenings rather than one.

One criterion score dropped this term. Is that a real problem?+

Usually not on its own. Criterion scores move in whole points out of 8, and a single drop after a hard unit, a missed week or an unfamiliar task type is ordinary. What matters is the pattern across subjects and across terms. The same criterion sitting low in mathematics, in the sciences and in English A, term after term, is a skill problem rather than a content problem, and that is worth a tutor. One low score in one unit is worth a conversation with the subject teacher instead.

How many home sessions a week does an MYP 5 student need?+

For most students one a week per subject is enough, and two subjects at once is the practical ceiling in MYP 5. The Personal Project and the school's own deadlines already fill the week, and home sessions that set more work than a student can finish make the term worse rather than better. A workable shape is one longer home session for the main subject plus a short online session midweek for feedback. Review the load at the end of each term instead of drifting into more.

Does MYP eAssessment change what we should prepare for?+

Only if your school offers it. MYP eAssessment in MYP 5 is on-screen examinations plus ePortfolios, it is optional, and each school decides whether to offer it, so the first step is asking your coordinator rather than assuming either way. Where a school does offer it, preparation looks more like timed examination practice. Where it does not, and with no single national MYP examination in India, everything rests on internally assessed criterion work spread across the whole year.

When should MYP tutoring stop?+

When the reason you started has been fixed, or when the student can plan and revise without being told to. A tutor should be the one raising this, not you. The warning sign is a student who is comfortable, scoring reasonably, and quietly unable to begin a piece of work until the tutor arrives on Tuesday. Stopping at the end of MYP 5, with a light check-in during the long break before DP1 begins, is a common and sensible point. Dependence carried into DP1 is harder to unwind than a gap.

Is online tutoring enough for MYP 4, or should lessons be at home?+

At MYP 4 a home tutor usually has the edge, because a fourteen-year-old's attention and written working are both easier to manage in the room than through a screen. Online becomes the better choice in one common case: when the subject specialist you need, particularly for extended mathematics, is not available anywhere near you. A hybrid week takes most of both, with one home visit for long written work and one short online session for feedback. Judge the format after three sessions, not after one.

We are moving from Pune to Delhi NCR mid-year. What happens to the tutoring?+

Plan the handover around the school calendar rather than around the moving date. If the tutor in Pune has been working across Koregaon Park or Baner for a term, the cheapest option is often to keep that person online until the term ends and find a home tutor in Delhi NCR from the next one, so the Personal Project work and the term's criterion evidence are not disrupted twice over. Ask the departing tutor for a written handover of what was fixed and what was not.

Ready to plan IB support?

Send one query with the criterion breakdown, the year (MYP 4 or MYP 5), the subject and your locality. IB Gram will ask about the school calendar, whether mathematics is streamed into standard and extended, and which evenings actually work, then shortlist verified tutors who match. A demo session can be arranged before you commit. Lessons run at home, online or hybrid, and you can ask for a different match if the fit is wrong.
