IB and IGCSE Tutors and Private Home Tuition in Chandausi

For home tuition in Chandausi on an IB or IGCSE syllabus, the honest answer is online: a live, private, one-to-one lesson at your own table, taught by a tutor who has handled that exact course. We do not send tutors to Chandausi homes. Tell us the board, subject and level, and the first lesson is on us.

  • Tutors are chosen for recent teaching of the precise course your child follows
  • Lessons are live and online; a home visit is a Gurugram and Delhi NCR service only
  • After each lesson you receive a brief written note on what was covered
  • No affiliation with any school, board or exam body named on this page

IB & IGCSE in Chandausi

A railway-junction town and an unfamiliar syllabus

Chandausi is a busy junction in the Sambhal district of western Uttar Pradesh, an old trading town best known for its grain and mentha business and its rail links towards Moradabad, Aligarh and Bareilly. Its schools follow the UP Board and CBSE, with ICSE in small numbers. We could not confirm any school in Chandausi or its neighbourhood as teaching the IB or an IGCSE, and we will not name one on hearsay.

Enquiries about IB and IGCSE tutors in Chandausi therefore come from particular circumstances. A trader or professional family whose child has been sent to Dehradun, Mussoorie, Lucknow or Delhi NCR for boarding, and wants holiday support. A household planning a shift to the National Capital Region in a year or two. Students enrolled with an online school offering the IB or Cambridge courses. In each case the school is elsewhere, and a specialist tutor has to be reachable from here.

That specialist teaches on video. Tutors are based across India and work in Indian Standard Time, and visits to a home take place only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. What your child gets in Chandausi is the same specification, past papers and mark scheme that a student in Delhi would use, taught one to one.

Tutors coach and explain; the Internal Assessment, Extended Essay and coursework always stay the student's own writing.

IB programmes

Every IB programme stage, mapped to Chandausi school years

In a town with no international campus, most parents meet these programmes through a cousin in Delhi or a prospectus. This is how each one works, and how it tends to show up in a Chandausi household.

PYPAges 3-12

IB Primary Years Programme

Young learners work through inquiry units linked to themes like sharing the planet, guided by questions rather than chapters, and the last year concludes with the PYP Exhibition.

In Chandausi it is mostly a child at a boarding school in the hills or Lucknow, and a tutor keeps reading and number work active across the long summer break.

MYPClass 6-10, ages 11-16

IB Middle Years Programme

Teachers grade each subject against stated criteria across four strands, and students finish with a Personal Project that they plan and carry out themselves.

For students used to UP Board or NCERT-style questions, MYP means learning to justify an answer in full sentences, a habit we build through weekly written practice.

DPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Diploma Programme

Six subjects, split between Higher and Standard Level, plus an Extended Essay of about 4,000 words, Theory of Knowledge and the CAS strand. Most final grades come from the May exams and internal assessments.

A Chandausi DP candidate is nearly always registered through a boarding school or online provider, so Higher Level Maths and the sciences often need a tutor to teach rather than merely support.

CPClass 11-12, ages 16-19

IB Career-related Programme

A pair of Diploma courses is combined with a career-related study, a reflective project and language development, offering an applied alternative to the full Diploma.

Almost no schools in western Uttar Pradesh run it; a Chandausi student meets it through an online provider, and we teach the Diploma courses inside it.

Subject coverage

IB subjects we tutor

We begin from the syllabus code and where your child is in the course, rather than from a subject label. That matters especially where no nearby teacher has seen the specification.

IB Maths Analysis & Approaches

How sessions run

Tutoring formats built around Chandausi school timetables

Everything runs online for Chandausi. The real choice is the rhythm: a weekly slot, a burst during a boarding school's holiday, or a run of papers before an exam.

Standing weekly lesson

One fixed slot each week with the same tutor, teaching from the syllabus and marking work between lessons.

  • Same tutor from week to week
  • Past papers worked on a shared screen
  • Any IB programme or IGCSE board
  • Shifted around fog days and festivals

Vacation intensive

Daily or alternate-day sessions across a boarding school's break, closing gaps and previewing the term ahead.

  • Fitted to the school's actual break dates
  • Frequent, shorter sessions
  • Summary notes for the boarding teachers
  • Optional light check-ins in term

Exam-season practice

Timed papers and quick, specific feedback in the weeks before May, October-November or January.

  • Marked against current schemes
  • Recurring mistakes tracked
  • Booked two to three weeks ahead
  • Planned around local holidays

What IB and IGCSE study actually looks like in Chandausi

01

What schools can a Chandausi family look at for the IB or IGCSE?

  • Nothing confirmed in Chandausi or Sambhal district
  • Lucknow, Delhi NCR and Mussoorie are the main directions
  • Each option means boarding or relocating
  • Online tutoring fills the home gap

Within Chandausi and the wider Sambhal district we could not find a school running the IB or Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE, and Moradabad and Rampur, the neighbouring cities, showed the same gap when we checked. The local system is UP Board and CBSE, so families who want an international curriculum look outward.

The options cluster in three directions. In Lucknow, Modern School runs the IB Primary Years Programme in its early years and GD Goenka Public School on Shaheed Path teaches Cambridge alongside CBSE. In Delhi NCR, established IB schools such as Vasant Valley, Sanskriti and The British School are within reach of a rail journey. In the hills, Woodstock School in Mussoorie is an authorised IB World School with boarding.

None of these is a daily commute from Chandausi, so each means boarding or a family move. That is the reason for the number of enquiries about online provision, where the school is elsewhere or virtual and the tutor is the constant presence at home.

The table gives the options as we could verify them.

02

How does UP Board or CBSE learning compare with the IB and IGCSE?

  • IB and IGCSE reward reasoning over a single expected answer
  • Coursework and practical skills are examined differently
  • Extended English writing is the common hurdle
  • Both routes are accepted in India and overseas

A student who has studied under the UP Board or CBSE knows how to work hard on a defined set of textbook chapters. The IB and IGCSE keep the hard work but change the target. Papers are built to reward reasoning, evidence and application, and there is often no single fixed answer. That means a student who has memorised an NCERT paragraph can still lose marks if it does not answer the actual question.

Assessment is spread more widely. IB Diploma candidates hand in Internal Assessments and an Extended Essay across two years, and IGCSE science includes a practical-skills paper. In Chandausi, where even a well-equipped lab can be hard to find, tutors help students plan investigations that can be done with ordinary materials and public data.

Language deserves a note. Hindi is the language of home and the street, and Urdu is spoken by many families, while IB and IGCSE papers are usually in English. Extended English writing is the first hurdle for many students in Individuals and Societies and in the sciences' longer answers.

Both international routes are recognised by Indian universities through equivalence and by universities abroad.

How much do IB and IGCSE private lessons cost for a Chandausi student?

  • Level, length and frequency set the rate
  • Experience with your exact syllabus matters
  • No travel charge or metro premium
  • Rates in writing after the free trial

There is no price list on this page because the rate depends on the lesson, not on where in Uttar Pradesh you live. The main drivers are level, session length, weekly frequency and how closely a tutor's recent teaching matches your specification.

IB Higher Level Physics taught by someone who has marked or taught it recently is a different service from IGCSE Core Mathematics, and the rates reflect that. Long sessions, or two lessons a week during exam preparation, change the total in an obvious way.

Chandausi is a small town, but being outside a metro does not add or subtract anything. No one travels, so there is no travel charge, and online delivery carries no premium.

Rates are given in writing after the trial lesson and before any booking, and pausing lessons for a school exam, a wedding or a festival week costs nothing.

04

Is an online tutor better than a coaching class or local home tutor in Chandausi?

  • Local coaching is well suited to local exams
  • Few local tutors know the international mark schemes
  • Delhi NCR classes need travel or a move
  • Online is the route that matches the syllabus at home

It depends on what is being taught. For the UP Board, CBSE or entrance exams, Chandausi and Moradabad have solid coaching classes and experienced home tutors, and there is no reason to look further. For an IB or IGCSE syllabus, the picture changes.

Coaching batches are set for the largest common syllabus, so an IB Higher Level Biology student or a Cambridge Extended Chemistry candidate has no batch to join. A local home tutor may have the knowledge in general terms but not the mark scheme, examiner reports and question style that decide the grade.

An online tutor drawn from across India can be matched to the exact course, works one to one, and gives feedback on written work quickly. The one requirement is a reliable connection, which most Chandausi homes can manage with fibre or a decent mobile plan.

The table lines up the routes side by side.

How do fog, summer heat and festivals shape study in Chandausi?

  • Winter fog favours afternoon or early-evening slots
  • Summer afternoons are avoided
  • Holi, Diwali and wedding season need planned breaks
  • Board exam dates stay fixed

Chandausi's weather is continental. From December to early February, dense fog can slow trains and make early mornings unpleasant, and a cold evening at home often means studying in a shawl with the laptop on a low table. Summers from April to June are hot and dry, with the loo winds keeping people indoors in the afternoon.

Scheduling follows. In winter we prefer late-afternoon or early-evening slots and keep an eye on power reliability. In summer, mornings and evenings suit best. The monsoon in July and August brings humidity and occasional interruptions but is otherwise workable.

Festivals set the larger breaks. Holi and Diwali bring a week or so each, Dussehra and the Ramlila season affect evenings, and wedding season, especially in winter and spring, empties calendars for whole households.

The IB, Cambridge and Edexcel calendars do not bend, so the tutoring plan is built backwards from May, the October-November series and January.

06

Where do IB and IGCSE students from Chandausi go next?

  • Rohilkhand University and Aligarh are regional options
  • Delhi NCR draws many students by train
  • AIU equivalence and CUET-UG matter for Indian degrees
  • Predicted grades count for overseas applications

Nearby options include Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University in Bareilly, Aligarh Muslim University to the west and several universities in Moradabad. Many students look further, to Delhi University and other Delhi NCR institutions, which are reachable by train.

Indian degree admissions depend on equivalence. The Association of Indian Universities recognises IB Diploma results and, with documentation, IGCSE together with a qualifying Class 12. The Common University Entrance Test, CUET-UG, gives IB students access to a wide range of central universities. Engineering and medical entrance exams have their own eligibility rules, which must be checked against the current official notice before subjects are fixed.

For study abroad, the predicted grade issued in the autumn of the final year is what universities see first, so steady work from the start of the course matters more than a final push.

Tutors work on the subject side of all these routes and leave counselling and applications to the school or a qualified counsellor.

07

What does an IB Maths and Science lesson look like online?

  • Shared whiteboard and past papers on screen
  • Sciences taught by specification topic
  • IA investigations designed around what is feasible at home
  • A written note follows every lesson

A typical session opens with five minutes on the question set from last time, then moves to a new topic worked on a shared whiteboard with the student attempting each step. Analysis and Approaches sessions spend time on proof and unfamiliar problem setups. Applications and Interpretation sessions spend it on calculator technique and reading data questions carefully.

In Physics, Chemistry and Biology, the tutor follows the specification topic by topic and sets questions written in the style of recent papers. Sessions for the Internal Assessment focus on choosing a workable question, a simple method and a way to analyse the data, without touching the report itself.

Because equipment can be scarce at home, we favour investigations built on simulations, kitchen materials, open datasets and careful measurement.

After each lesson, the tutor writes a short note covering topics done, mistakes noticed and the task for next time.

Where we tutor

Chandausi and the nearby belt

As every lesson is online, these areas set context: where schools and coaching classes are, and how the railway and the seasons shape a family's day.

Bhram Bazaar

One of the older market quarters of Chandausi, dense with shops, tuition classes and traders' households.

Railway station and Junction Road

The busy heart of the town, with families of railway employees and a lot of early-morning and late-night noise.

Chandausi Mandi area

The grain and mentha trading zone, whose seasonal peaks stretch the working hours of many business families.

Civil Lines

A quieter residential quarter that tends to hold professional and government-service families.

Bahjoi

A neighbouring town in Sambhal district with a similar mix of trading and farming households.

Sambhal town

The district headquarters, a short distance away, with its own schools and coaching options.

Gunnaur

A small town in the district whose students often look to Chandausi and Moradabad for schooling.

Narora and the Ganga bank

Home to the atomic power station township, whose staff families sometimes come from other states.

Moradabad road corridor

The main road towards the divisional city, used by many families for coaching classes and hospital visits.

School ecosystem

IB and Cambridge school communities we support in Chandausi

Chandausi and Sambhal district

Schooling here runs on the UP Board and CBSE, with ICSE in a handful of schools. We found no IB or IGCSE school locally, so international-curriculum study happens elsewhere or online.

    Nearby: Lucknow

Some families look at Lucknow: Modern School runs the IB Primary Years Programme in its junior classes, and GD Goenka Public School teaches Cambridge alongside CBSE. It is a long journey from Chandausi, so it means boarding or moving.

    • Modern School, Lucknow
    • GD Goenka Public School, Shaheed Path, Lucknow

    Nearby: Delhi NCR

Roughly 200 kilometres away, Delhi NCR holds the largest set of IB and IGCSE campuses reachable by road or rail. A child may board there, or the family may shift.

    • Vasant Valley School, Delhi
    • Sanskriti School, Delhi
    • The British School, New Delhi

    Nearby: Mussoorie and Dehradun

The hill boarding belt has long attracted families from western Uttar Pradesh. Woodstock School in Mussoorie is an authorised IB World School with a boarding option.

    • Woodstock School, Mussoorie

No IB or Cambridge or Edexcel school in Chandausi or its district could be confirmed, so no school strip is shown. The schools named below are outside the area, and are named only as context for families who consider boarding or a move. IB Gram is independent of them, the IB, Cambridge and Pearson.

    Questions parents ask

IB and IGCSE tutoring in Chandausi: your questions answered

Is there an IB school in Chandausi?+

We could not confirm one in Chandausi or Sambhal district. Local schools follow the UP Board, CBSE and in a few cases ICSE. The nearest confirmed IB and Cambridge options are in Lucknow, Delhi NCR and Mussoorie, so most Chandausi families study through boarding or online provision with a tutor supporting them.

Will a tutor come to our home in Chandausi?+

No. Tutors do not visit homes in Chandausi. In-person home tuition is available only in Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR. In Chandausi, private tuition at home means an online lesson: your child sits at home with a laptop and a tutor teaches live, one to one, over video.

How much does IB or IGCSE tuition cost in Chandausi?+

The rate depends on level, session length, weekly frequency and how well the tutor's experience matches your syllabus. We quote in writing after the free trial. There is no surcharge for being in a smaller town, and pausing lessons for exams, weddings or festivals carries no penalty.

Which schools near Chandausi teach IGCSE?+

We could not confirm any in the district. GD Goenka Public School on Shaheed Path in Lucknow teaches Cambridge alongside CBSE, and Delhi NCR has many Cambridge and Edexcel schools. These are listed for context only, since IB Gram has no affiliation with them, and current curricula should be checked with each school.

My child is in a UP Board school. Can they switch to IGCSE?+

Yes, and Class 9 is the usual point. The main adjustments are answering to command words, showing working in Mathematics and writing longer English answers. A tutor starts with a diagnostic lesson and plans the change over a term or two, so the student is not overwhelmed.

Can you cover Hindi for the IB from Chandausi?+

Yes. Hindi A is offered at HL and SL for students who use Hindi as a first language, and Hindi B for those who use it less. Lessons focus on literary analysis, essay structure and the oral, matched to the criteria, not to the school-level Hindi syllabus.

What IB Diploma subjects do your tutors teach?+

Both Maths courses, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Business Management, Computer Science, Psychology, English A, Hindi A and B, Urdu B, Environmental Systems and Societies and TOK. Tell us the subject and level, and we will say honestly whether we have a tutor with the right recent experience.

Do tutors write the Internal Assessment or Extended Essay?+

No. Tutors help students understand the criteria, refine a research question, plan a method and review drafts. The writing, data and analysis are the student's own, as the IB and the exam boards require, and we hold to that however close a deadline is.

Can my child sit IB or IGCSE exams from Chandausi?+

Only through an authorised centre, and none in Chandausi is one we could confirm. Families usually register through a school elsewhere or a private-candidate centre in a larger city such as Delhi or Lucknow. Deadlines fall months before the exam series, so start asking early.

Do you support MYP and PYP students too?+

Yes. MYP support covers criterion-based writing, science reports and the Personal Project as coaching, while PYP support is lighter, aimed at reading, number work and the Exhibition. Boarders often take a block of lessons during the summer or winter break.

How do fog and power cuts affect online lessons?+

We plan around them. In winter we schedule afternoon or early-evening slots, and if a power cut or poor connection interrupts a lesson, we reschedule within the week. A mobile hotspot as backup is a sensible precaution for exam months.

    What internet connection is needed?+

A steady broadband or 4G or 5G connection, a laptop or tablet with a working camera and microphone, and a quiet corner. A phone alone is not comfortable for a whole lesson. We test the setup during the free trial so any problem is found early.

    When should tutoring begin?+

As close to the start of the course as possible: Class 11 for the Diploma, Class 9 for IGCSE. Starting early lets habits build gradually. A later start still works, with a narrower plan built from a diagnostic lesson and the highest-value topics first.

What if the tutor is not a good fit?+

Tell us, and we introduce another tutor. Reviews every few weeks are intended to catch a poor fit early, and no long contract is signed. The note after each lesson gives you a clear record to judge by.

How do I book the free trial lesson?+

Message +91 7439 368 115 on WhatsApp or email support@ibgram.com with the subject, level, board or programme and convenient times. We reply with a shortlist and a trial slot. The lesson is real teaching, and there is no obligation to continue afterwards.

Is IB Gram connected with the IB, Cambridge, Pearson or any school?+

No. IB Gram is an independent tutoring service without affiliation to the International Baccalaureate, Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel or any school mentioned here. Schools are named only for context, and nothing on this page is an endorsement by or of them.
